At the Olives-farmer in Füssen

With my granddaughter, beautiful at the Hopfensee, at the olive farmer's good meal with an Uncle Josef beer from his own brewery

Had a wonderful meal here. Our waiter, Mario, had us try the beer liquor which was amazing. Very relaxed atmosphere here compared to the busier location in Füssen.

After walking around Lake Hopfensee, we stopped by the olive farmer's to quickly satisfy our hunger. There are large wooden benches on the "terrace" right by the street. The interior is decorated with a hodgepodge of decor. Some people might like the decor, but it's a bit overdone. From the beer benches, you do have a good view of the lake and the mountains, but that's about it, especially since you're sitting right by the street, and pedestrians are practically staring into your plates. My pasta was overcooked, extremely garlicky, and swimming in oil. My partner's pizza was very soggy inside. A shame. The service was nice, but a bit overwhelmed. And there's also a bland aftertaste. A QR code at the table: If you show your good review to the waiter, you get something free.

The food was amazing! There were quite a few of us for dinner, yet everyone's food was piping hot when it was served. Almost everyone ordered something different from burgers to salmon to pasta. The service was wonderful. Just but ask, and they were on top of it. The menus were in both English and German. The server was fluent in English and German. Service with a smile!!! Large portions of deliciousness.

A completely successful visit! Not only was the food delicious, but the portions were also generous - no one goes home hungry here. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, we felt very comfortable. What's particularly great is that dogs are very welcome! The fantastic view rounds off the experience perfectly. We'll definitely be back!

Very nicely located by the lake. Very good cuisine. We had the “Lower Bavarian fish soup” as a starter. Sensational! Then the two of us had the “Bella Napoli” spelled pizza and a very good small mixed salad. Beautifully prepared, large portions, top quality!

For us a must in Hopfen am See! Eating at Olivenbauer's is always a highlight - the burgers are especially fantastic! Fresh ingredients, juicy meat and delicious rolls make it something special. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is friendly. If you are in the area and want to enjoy good food, you should definitely stop by here!

The food was really delicious, we had bruschetta, pork fillets, Viennese veal schnitzel and the apple kichla. The food was outstanding! Only the sauce for the fillet was a little salty. But delicious! Our waiter was also pretty salty, because not only was he extremely unfriendly, he also had a hard time taking the order and, after I told him again what I would like, he seemed pretty annoyed and behaved very derogatory towards us for the rest of the evening! He also asked every table around us if everything was OK except us but looked at us. Weak! The good gentleman wasn’t even polite enough to say goodbye or “have a nice evening”?! This waiter shouldn't be working at such a great place, especially when he clearly doesn't like his job. Please feel free to confront this man with the allegations! Greetings go out to the older, grim gentleman with his reading glasses, gray hair and accent for this absolute misbehavior! The slightly younger gentleman was very friendly! Thanks to you! The view is also really great and the decoration is really nice and traditional!

For me personally, the ambience is a bit over the top but then: everything makes sense, the question marks disappear and give way to pure enthusiasm - great home-brewed beer - Attentive service - Great map …And the father of all burgers (Allgäu Burger) Hammer! Price completely ok. Great house, will definitely come back. Oh yes: Location is great: premium view of the hope and the mountain panorama behind it. Recommendation!!!!

A visit to the olive farmer at Hopfensee is a must for us. The food is always delicious, the ambience invites you to dream about your vacation and the service is always impeccable!

Unfortunately the food used to be much better, at least 2 years ago. We got a lukewarm pizza that didn't taste at all, as if I had just eaten dough. The grill plate had pieces of meat on the grill for too long and the meat was very tough and dry. For €22 I expect more meat and better taste. So I can only say it used to be better there, maybe new owner. At least we won't be entering the store anymore because they are not accommodating at all. We mentioned about the lukewarm pizza but the waiter charged the full price, which I think was cheeky. Well, we were there last time.

Great service. The Kaiserschmarn was great! 👏 🤤 The service was nice and on point! On the topic of requesting reviews: Yes, there is the qr code and you get a small piece of vacuum-packed cheese. However, it is not checked whether the rating is good; we also received cheese, even though there were critical voices.

Ordered rump steak medium and received it completely cooked through. After the second attempt at cooking, I got the rump steak medium, but almost cold. The next day we ordered original Wiener Schnitzel (veal), fries not crispy but soggy and lukewarm. After complaint, condition soggy. We'll try it tomorrow in Füssen at the olive farmer's, maybe it'll work better there than in Hops!

The Flädlesuppe had a somewhat bitter aftertaste. But the meat in the main course was without any complaints! The ambience is a bit uncomfortable due to the high ceiling and open space. The service was mediocre at first but improved towards the end. Therefore only 4 stars overall.
