Asado Restaurant Bar in Köln

It was supposed to be a Spanish evening with Spanish music. I really liked the music. Unfortunately that evening the menu was very slimmed down and very overpriced. For a cost of 140 euros (2 people) I expected more. I wouldn't go to this restaurant again.

Well...we found the food compared to other Spaniards...especially compared to the Restaurant Manuela in Cologne, firstly too expensive and secondly the taste wasn't what we had imagined. There was also the drawback that they didn't really explain to us as guests that, despite the music event, we could have ordered from the normal memory card. The price for 5 small to medium-sized shrimp ala aglio olio for 15 euros is simply too much. The location itself is beautifully designed in the forest.

The service was nice, although inattentive. The food also came at the same time for our larger group. Sometimes you had to wait a long time for drinks and they were simply left at the table. You don't grab filled glasses from above and you don't reach over the plates of eating guests. The food itself was okay. I've eaten better and worse.

We were there as a couple and really loved it. The operator has put together a great and very friendly team and consistently offers delicious food and drinks. We will definitely come back soon. In my opinion, this is definitely the best Spaniard in the larger area and also offers a very good price/performance ratio.

We were in the large hall, which was poorly heated and therefore very cold. Had to sit inside in a hat and sweater. Prices are very high, especially for steaks, chicken breast + salmon!! but taste good. Burger not so special + frozen bulette. The service lady kept forgetting things in between. Otherwise often there and attentive/caring.

Food and service were great. They are very child-friendly and accommodating. The food was world class and I would love to be back at the table in the foreseeable future

Food was okay, but nothing exceptional. The waitresses were relatively friendly, but overwhelmed and very slow to refill the prawns. Ambience great. The parking lot should be improved, it's an absurdity that the mud has ruined the whole car after the visit

A super cozy restaurant, very nice service, great food. There is nothing better whether in winter or summer. I couldn't imagine anything better, it will definitely be my favorite place when I'm in the region. Will definitely come again. A very big PRAISE, I can only recommend this restaurant.

Wir sind früher gerne dort gewesen, hatten aber schon vor einem Jahr einen Schlussstrich gezogen. Jetzt haben wir Asado nochmal eine Chance gegeben, waren aber wieder enttäuscht. Der Burger ist o.k., aber die Tapas gehen geschmacklich und qualitativ gar nicht. Und für Vegetarier gibt es praktisch kein Angebot.

Very surprising and delicious Tapas. Worth repeating.

It's been a long time since we've been back to Asado and unfortunately we were disappointed. Not that it was outstandingly good before, but it was solid food and good service. If you're expecting truly Spanish cuisine, you're in the wrong place here anyway! On this visit, the steak we ordered was rare, but the fish and chicken were not. In addition, none of the dishes came at the same time and after the first round of drinks you could have died of thirst at the table. And it has become expensive. We stayed away from the tapas at €37 for 5 pieces because the portions are really very small and we are not somewhere in a trendy in-district, but on the outskirts of town in the forest without any transport connections. At least for us it was the last visit. After all, good Spanish restaurants are a dime a dozen in Cologne and the surrounding area - without having to be constantly annoyed. Short note on the reviews: We weren't the only ones that evening where a lot of things went wrong, so the many positive reviews are hard to understand... Conclusion: Service is often very slow and often while smoking, careless food presentation, lack of sauce in many dishes, so that everything is very dry, apart from the salad dripping with sauce in the glass. This needs to get better and the menu needs to be more authentic.

Very nice service and very tasty food

Dance into May: Service is zero. Assistants incompetent or not properly assigned. The rest just rotated around and tried to tame the chaos, even with only 50% capacity. Patio heaters on the terrace are mostly out of operation. Chef was un-present and could only be found on the dance floor. Don't know if we'll come back here again, for this or similar events. The good location can't get out of everything. I hope something changes in attitude and motivation soon.

A great restaurant and great service. We were able to celebrate a wedding there and it went really well. Clean toilets whether for men or women. Children were just as welcome as adults. A successful day from start to finish and a great restaurant in the middle of the forest. When you go there you don't expect it and you are surprised by what you find. We were thrilled. We held our wedding reception at Asado on August 16, 2024. Everything was perfect! Service, food, location. The guests and we were thrilled with everything. Thanks to the Asado team for helping to create the most beautiful day of our lives. So if you are looking for a wedding location in Cologne and the surrounding area, you definitely have to put Asado on your shortlist. In any case, we can recommend the Asado without reservation and to our complete satisfaction!

Very high quality and delicious food, prices accordingly. Service was very friendly, only long waiting times for the drinks, while the food was served very quickly. First class quality.

The tapas were too expensive and far too greasy: 5 shrimps in a lot of oil Chorizo ​​well fried, but swimming in fat. A beef skewer for €12.50 Main course: Pasta with salmon in cream and white wine sauce: Pasta was partially dried out, salmon was grilled to death and therefore completely dry and the white wine sauce was not there. When we asked, we were told that everything was correct, that the pasta had only been deglazed with white wine, so there was no sauce left. The tastiest were the sweet potato fries with ajoli.

The terrace with a view of the greenery is really great. The service gave the impression that it didn't know its way around and seemed a bit overwhelmed - but overall it was okay. Unfortunately the food was nothing. About the grill plate: The chicken could really only be eaten with liquid, it was so dry. The mini steak was supposed to be medium, unfortunately it came as a shoe sole. The portion size is right. But the price doesn't match the quality at all.

Food okay, but a little more expensive.

The Asado is great: wonderfully located in the forest, nice ambience inside and outside on the terrace, friendly service, delicious food and a large selection of drinks. Even if it is very busy, you will usually receive quick service. The large hall is a dream for weddings and larger celebrations. The Asado can also be easily reached by bike through the Königsforst.

Not only was the food delicious, but also everything around it, e.g. For example, the ladies kept checking whether everything was right, whether we needed anything, etc. Ambiente then completed everything. Very nice, always happy.

Well, what can I say? It's not bad, it's rather expensive, which doesn't really suit me in relation to the food. It wasn't really well maintained everywhere to describe it. Great food in a cozy atmosphere

The food was great, you definitely have to mention that in advance. Maybe a little too much oil at times, the patata bravas a bit too fried-like, but all in all you can't complain about the taste or price of the platter for two people (+ extra patatas). The terrace was also really nice. What was a bit confusing was the service. If not so messed up that it was a little annoying. Especially because people around us noticed it too. Top service, nice location, food just ok, but too expensive. We had a top waitress, the kind you unfortunately rarely find anymore. The other service employees were also very friendly, courteous and quick. The ambience is quite nice. When the weather is nice, the beer garden is definitely worth a visit. The Estrella Galicia on tap was delicious. The open wines that we tried tasted good. A starter (chicken in lemon sauce) was very tasty and on the second attempt my steak was quite good. Delicious roasted aromas and tender meat. Mecker: The Gambas al Ajillo were heavily salted. There was no sharpness for that. We also didn't have the impression that the prawns were actually cooked in the clay bowl. It looked more like they had been put in there just to serve. The patatas bravas were quite small pieces and appeared to be deep fried. The aioli turned out to be a fairly thin garlic sauce. Both taste not bad, but are probably convenient. We didn't like the herb butter, but it's a matter of taste. But now to the crucial point: the steaks, which unfortunately didn't turn out well. The first batch had branding but hardly any roasted flavors. In addition, the steak I ordered medium was well done. I hate sending food (especially meat) back, but unfortunately this was completely wrong. The second steak was decent, even if it was medium rare rather than medium as ordered. But for free! The fact that they accepted our criticism and bought us wine was very nice and shows the competence of the service staff, but we would have preferred better prepared food. Maybe the chef was just having a bad day. The location and service deserve to try again, but at the prices quoted here it's too risky for us. What a shame!

Another very good meal, prepared quickly with always friendly, attentive service. Steaks were great and grilled to perfection.

Apart from the beautiful ambience and good food, the service is also worth mentioning in a positive sense. We had a voucher that had expired (and not just a few days ago). This was accepted without any comment. Hats off! This is not a given and is now rather rare. Even a high-priced brunch voucher from the Hyatt in Cologne was no longer accepted after it expired. For that reason alone we won't be here for the last time!

We were there today for Easter brunch. First the positive. A beautiful hall, old wooden floors, nice furnishings. The waitresses were nice and quick. Unfortunately the food wasn't that good, although there was a large selection. But what good is that if a lot of things aren't right? For example, the rabbit leg was in a strange breading or was that supposed to be a sauce? inserted. Little cheese, no juices, jam in plastic, etc. The crowning glory was the Kaiserschmarrn, a solid, tasteless mass. Oh yes, at the end the coffee was tasty.

Zum zweiten Mal hier und schon wie ein Stammgast behandelt! Toller, netter Service, man erinnerte sich an uns (vielleicht aber auch an unsere Hunde😉)! Das Essen wieder sehr gut, gute Empfehlungen des Personals. Locker, freundlich, professionell! Vielleicht bei den negativen Bewertungen mal auf das Datum schauen oder sich die Profile der User anschauen. Hier kann man wirklich gut hingehen. Das Preisniveau ist nicht gerade niedrig aber die Küche macht einen guten Job! Steak und Grillgemüse perfekt auf den Punkt gegart und genau richtig abgeschmeckt!

Die negativen Bewertungen können wir nicht nachvollziehen. Sehr freundliches Personal, professioneller Service. Das Angebot reichhaltig und qualitativ hochwertig! Vor allem die Steaks waren ausgezeichnet! Kleiner Punkteabzug: Die Garstufe war nicht ganz perfekt getroffen aber die Fleischqualität und der daraufhin angebotene Cardinal Mendoza hat diesen "Fehler" mehr als wett gemacht. Das lobenswerte Angebot, das Steak zurückzunehmen hatte ich abgelehnt, da mir Lebensmittelverschwendung zuwider ist. Ja, die Preise sind ambitioniert aber gerechtfertigt, zumal dies ja mittlerweile in der guten Gastronomie überall so ist. Das Ambiente ist modern-gemütlich. Wir kommen wieder

Völlig überteuert. Ich hatte nur Salat (19,50). Der Salat war weder besonders inspiriert noch besonders lecker. Das ofenfrische Brot kam erst nicht und war dann kalt. Hier stimmt die Qualität der Zutaten einfach nicht. Dies war im Sommer auch schon so. Wässrige discounter-Tomaten, langweiliger Salat. Die Preise lassen hochwertige und ambitioniertere Küche erwarten. Leider wirklich keine Empfehlung.

Nice place somewhere in the woods. The stuff was quite friendly and fast. The food was also quite good. There was plenty of room between the tables and there were also enough inside and outside tables although on a cold November evening sitting outside was not an option, except for smoking clients that often went outside to sutisfy their lust.

Sehr gemütliches Restaurant im Wald

Es ist schön ein tolles Lokal, das Essen lecker, es war mein 60 Stern Geburtstag und man gratulierte mir freundlich und Punkt. Ich erinnere mich an frühere Zeiten, wo man mit einer Wunderkerze und einem Küchengruß geehrt wurde, die Zeiten sind vorbei. Nicht falsch verstehen, alle waren freundlich, meine Vorgesetzte hatte mich eingeladen und wir haben plus Trinkgeld für 70 Euro verzehrt. Mh. Es war sehr voll und drum herum eine gute Stimmung, es wurde erzählt und die Musik war zudem sehr laut. Zum unterhalten um 18 Uhr 👍- bei späteren Zeiten muss man gegen die Geräuschkulisse selber schon lauter sprechen. Warum ist die Musik so laut? Wir wollten in Ruhe essen. Ich mag auch Musik beim Essen, aber leiser.

Ein wirklich hübsches Lokal, schön eingerichtet mit toller Außenterrasse, die man jetzt im Herbst natürlich nicht genießen kann. Im Sommer auf jeden Fall ein grandioses Ausflugsziel. Sowohl für Kaffee und Kuchen, als auch für herzhafte Speisen zu empfehlen. Wir hatten eine wirklich sehr sehr leckere Kürbissuppe (leider kein Foto) mit Gambas und einen hervorragenden Salat. Da wir beide sowohl Suppen- als auch Salatfans sind heißt das was!! Einzig der zwar nette Service könnte etwas aufmerksamer sein.

Sehr schöne Location für diverseste Veranstaltungen. War bei einer Hochzeit in diesen Räumlichkeiten eingeladen und fand alles gut arrangiert. Das Essen war lecker und für ein Buffet das Fleisch gut gegart und zart. Aus persönlicher Sicht jedoch etwas viel Knoblauch der in fast allen Speisen vorhanden war. Das zuständige Personal war recht nett und zuvorkommend. Leider liegt dieses Restaurant sehr weit von allem entfernt, was es einem nicht leicht macht, außer mit dem Auto, hier her zukommen. Man muss sich somit Bewußt entscheiden hier her zu kommen.

Wir waren bereits 3× zum Brunchen dort ,es war wirklich sehr lecker .Qualitativ hochwertig zb das Roastbeef ein Traum ,so wie die Steaks und das Lamm👌.Die Calamares würde ich mir allerdings anders wünschen, nicht mit dicker Fertigpanade .(das kennt man vom Spanier anders )...aber das ist wirklich das Einzige was ich anmerken würde .

Hier muss man nicht sein und nicht essen. Das meiste ist von denkbar minderer Qualität und Kochkunst, konträr jeder Abbildung die sie für das Assado finden. Der Service ist bemüht und freundlich. Ich war zu einer Geburtstagsfeier mit Freunden geladen. Gleichzeitig fand eine Hochzeitsfeier statt, die aufgrund einer unerträglichen Lautstärke der Musik, eine Unterhaltung mit unserem Geburtstagskreis fast unmöglich machte. Als eine andere, im gleichen Raum stattfindende Geburtstagsgesellschaft das Restaurant verliess, wurde alles neben unseren Tischen und an uns vorbei, gesäubert, zusammengeräumt, die Stühle gestapelt und wegtransporiert. Geben Sie mir einen Grund an, warum man in so ein stilloses und von erheblichen Qualitätsmängeln behaftetes Unternehmen, mit noch nicht einmal einem ambitionierten, zeitgemäss einladendem Ambiente zurückkehren sollte. Ich kann mich nur der vorangegeangenen Beurteilung vollumfänglich anschliessen.

Sehr lecker waren zum all you can Rat Gambas Tag da. Sehr zu empfehlen. Man bekommt auch reichlich Brot mit Dip dazu.

Der Platz hat sich gewandelt vom ehemaligen Waldcafé in ein Restaurant. Für mich kam der veg. Salat mit Ziegenkäse zur Auswahl. Sehr lecker und super zusammengestellt. Wünsche den Betreibern das Allerbeste und den Gästen Gute Erholung und Guten Appetit.
