Very nice restaurant and first-class food.

Amazing restaurant! The food, the atmosphere and the service was very very good. I can highly recommend the „Käsespätzle“. They were the best ones I have ever had.

The food tasted okay, but was rather overpriced for the quality. The service staff didn't seem particularly friendly, which dampened the atmosphere. In the end, we discovered that card payments are only accepted for amounts over €60 – an inconvenient and outdated change for guests. Overall, unfortunately, it was only a mediocre experience.

We went there during our vacation. They had the most delicious roast pork with spaetzle I've ever eaten. The sauce was also fantastic. If we go there again, we'll definitely stop by.

We ended up there by chance. We were served quickly and had an excellent meal. The service was very friendly. A definite recommendation.

Yesterday, three of us ate at the Army Museum in Meersburg. Two people had steak with vegetables and fried potatoes or rösti; one was taglioni with chanterelle cream sauce, each with a side salad, and we drank a very good Riesling. The service and food (prepared and tasty) were excellent! Even the weather was fantastic. We've eaten there several times, and it was always excellent. Thank you, please keep it up. Really nice owner, good service. Great food. They even offer gluten-free rösti. Prices are mid-range, but the food is definitely worth it.

Be careful, paying with a card usually doesn't work!!! The boss is arrogant and unfriendly!! He only prefers cash, you can imagine why!!!!! It's time to get a new card reader. Our credit card works everywhere else and has more than enough credit!!!!!!! It's a shame that you judge your customers like that!!

Everything was highly recommended until it came to payment. Card payments were extremely unwelcome. The boss says he never leaves without €500 so he can always pay in cash. Of course, with businesses that accept cash payments, questions like that always arise. But otherwise, everything was excellent. Great food, fantastic atmosphere, and generally excellent service. But the guest is king, even when it comes to paying.

Restaurant geht gegen schlechte Bewertung vor, obwohl diese Gerechtfertigt sind. Bezahlung per Kreditkarten geht oft nicht oder nur zögerlich. Fisch zum Teil nicht geniessbar.

We were here twice, end of June. Well-kept restaurant (compared to others in the same city) with a nice terrace. Linen runners and real flowers on the table. Friendly, attentive service. Not too expensive and good food, with (free) basket of bread with tasty spread beforehand.

Accueil irritant, il ne prend pas de réservation, mais dit de repasser et si il y a de la place ok. Ensuite trop pressé pour donner des explications des différents plats, il nous expédie et quand on veux payer, son lecteur de cartes ne fonctionne plus. Il dit que nos cartes ne sont plus valables, il est malhonnête et ne propose aucune autres solutions. Ni voulez-vous payer en cash, ni allez à tel endroit vous pourrez retirer de l’argent etc….rien, il nous critique nous parle mal. Pour finir nous avons payé en CHF après avoir fait le change sur internet. Il n’est pas commerçant et nous n’avons pas envie de lui faire de la pub.

The food was actually okay. Schnitzel with asparagus and potatoes. Unfortunately, the schnitzel was very thin and flavorless. Service was nice. Now the problem: Severe stomach pain at night, requiring multiple trips to the bathroom. Probably from the Hollo sauce. A shame.

Italian restaurant in the center of Meersburg. The name Army Museum actually has nothing to do with the restaurant. The staff was friendly. According to the waiter, card payments are only accepted for €60 or more. Everything was a bit suspect. The food was good, but nothing special for the price. Everyone should decide for themselves, though.

Freundliches Personal, alle Speisen toll angerichtet und geschmacklich toll! Ich habe immer bedenken, wenn eine Karte im „Touristengebiet“ so viele verschiedene Richtungen anbietet - hier allerdings wirklich alles top. Pasta al dente, frisches Tomatensugo an den Garnelen. Gleichzeitig die schwäbischen Gerichte auch genau richtig abgeschmeckt und kein Fließbandfutter.

Completely disappointed, 😞 It was enticed with the daily offer: asparagus, pork schnitzel, boiled potatoes, it appealed to us, the price was OK. You almost had to look for the schnitzel on the plate, three potatoes and four sticks of asparagus and you hardly want to talk about the taste. The asparagus didn't taste like asparagus and the schnitzel didn't see any pepper or salt. We looked at each other and we had the same opinion, *doesn’t work at all*

The location, the ambience is very good, the service person at the door is super nice. The waiter came across as a bit grumpy. The daily special, asparagus with schnitzel, is not an absolute must. Asparagus without the typical taste, potatoes without taste, just empty. The hollandaise was served well but seemed to come from a tetra pack. The best the schnitzel, bad snack bar. In a restaurant like this you expect a different quality.

Food great - waiter very unfriendly. Our bill was 55 euros and we wanted to pay by card because we only had 45 euros in cash. However, with a card it was only possible from 60 euros, according to the waiter!

We ended up here by chance and had a really nice evening with very good food.

Today I ate here with my family. The food tasted okay. Unfortunately, you could tell it came out of the microwave, and some of it wasn't fresh. When we finally went to pay and I said I was paying in cash, I was given strange looks and asked why I was paying in cash and not with a card. Overall, the value for money is unfortunately not good at all.

Great food. We had swordfish carpaccio and pumpkin cream soup for starters, as well as venison goulash and roasted whitefish fillet. Simply delicious. Very friendly and attentive service in a cozy, historic setting. Highly recommended!

Wir Kolleginnen ( Einheimische) waren hier alle zum ersten Mal anläßlich unseres Jahresabschlußtreffens. Das Essen und die Location waren gut, ABER als es um die Bezahlung ging, wurden 3 x nicht die Preise berechnet, die in der Karte standen, sondern 9 Euro mehr, weil wir angeblich die große Portion bestellt hätten. Einen Hinweis auf der Karte gab es NICHT !! Zusätzliche Frechheit war der Hinweis " die seien ja gebraten".... Wo bitte gibt es Felchen roh?? M.E. eine große Abzocke!

We were on holiday here in Meersburg for a week. Since we enjoyed it so much the first time we visited the Army Museum restaurant and the service was simply great, we ate there several times. Our conclusion: the quality, the taste and the two gentlemen from the service are just super friendly, even a little chat with the staff gives you a feeling of being welcome! Highly recommended!!!

The side salad was a gnat and a hair was told and was still added to the bill. I think it was a mess

We have eaten at this restaurant several times and have never been disappointed. Very tasty food (very nicely prepared) and very attentive service. We'd love to come back. PS: the cherry 🍒

Card payment only possible from 60€, apparently the card reader didn't work. (It was unplugged). As someone who works in the restaurant industry myself, this is probably a different type of profit. The staff is rude to the guests and laughs at them behind the scenes. Bad mood among the guests and the staff.

First of all, we got the bill from the wrong table. When we asked the waiter about it, he was annoyed instead of apologizing. At some point he came with another bill that was 20 euros too much and when we asked about it he was again quite rude instead of apologizing. I didn't feel comfortable there and please check your bill at the Army Museum.

Wir waren heute am 25.8.2024 zum Mittagessen im Armeemuseum. Das Essen ok und das Preis-Leistungsvethältnis ebenfalls. Wir wollten mit Karte bezahlen, der Kellner sagte ok, und kam mit der Rechnung zurück. Dann sagte er plötzlich ! Kartenzahlung erst ab 60 € möglich. Auf Nachfrage wo das steht erhielten wir die Antwort- ich sage das so. Ich entgegnete dass das kein korrektes Verhalten ist, Antwort- Was ist schon korrekt. Wir bezahlten dann in bar 43,20 und werden das Lokal nicht mehr betreten und nicht empfehlen.

Ate very well. Filet mignon with black summer truffle and tagliatelle was recommended to me. I would have been upset if I hadn't eaten it. Was sensationally good.

Very unfriendly and arrogant service. Dogs are not welcome. Because another dog was barking, we were very rudely asked to leave despite ordering. Not recommended!!!!!!!!

Really big kitchen! And that in the tourist mile! 8 different types of vegetables were added to the veal cheeks and all of them were cooked perfectly and served warm...the best leaf salad since I can remember, with sprouts and cress, a round dressing, simple and fresh, perfect! Very good food. Great service. The range and possibilities of a kitchen show that convenience products can certainly also be offered very well. You shouldn't think that the surrounding restaurants do without it. The best with 3 different restaurants in the evenings.

As non-smokers, we went inside to enjoy our food. Unfortunately, the smokers sit right in front of the entrance door and the smell wafts into the restaurant. When asked about this, the waitress feels personally affected. Whatever. You can also accept criticism sometimes. Then the EC Cash (50 minimum transaction) doesn't work and you can go to the bank and withdraw cash. The only apology that came was "It's not that far and have a nice evening." It could happen, but not with us. Hospitality only as long as there is no criticism. What for? The guests change and the money is in the cash register.

We were there on July 1st. There for dinner, each of us had a chanterelle dish, they were all very tasty, there could perhaps have been a little more mushrooms. The service was very nice and attentive. We liked it.

I was there two or three days ago and ate a very, very, very tasty whitefish fillet. I haven't eaten such delicious and delicately prepared fish for a long time. The waiter Sharif was super nice and repaired my broken glasses. I can only recommend the restaurant.

We had sauerbraten, roast pork and schnitzel, each with spaetzle and salad. Delicious. The only small negative point would be the side salad. Just leaf lettuce and lots of cress on top, plus two half slices of tomatoes. Here I would have been happy with carrots, cabbage, beans, or potato salad! Service was very friendly and the price was reasonable. All in all, worth recommending!

Das Essen war ganz gut, die Pfifferlinge und der Salat waren nicht ganz sauber manchmal biss man auf etwas Sand rum. Ansonsten war es lecker und die Portionen sind auch groß genug.

Sehr lecker gespeist in der Unteren Fußgängerzone in Meersburg. Die Tische waren fein eingedeckt und die Kellner alle gut gelaunt. Das Essen war köstlich, obwohl eine kleine Salatbeigabe das Tellergericht optimal abgerundet hätte. Aber alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert.

Eine Zahlung mir Karte ist nur ab 50 Euro möglich, wurde mir mitgeteilt, als ich zahlen wollte. Als ich sagte, dass ich nicht ausreichend Bargeld dabei habe, zuckte der Kellner nur mit der Schulter, zeigte in eine Richtung und sagte „da ist ein Geldautomat“. Wir haben 2023- nicht zeitgemäß. Er ließ nicht mit sich reden, dies sei Gesetz des Hauses, und ich musste einen Bankautomaten aufsuchen. Anscheinend kann sich dieses Restaurant noch erlauben so mit Gästen umzugehen - die Frage ist nur wie lange noch.

Sehr zu empfehlen!! Trotz vollem Haus kommt keine Hektik auf. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist voll in Ordnung. Wir haben sofort für 2 weitere Abende reserviert. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und die Portionen nicht zu klein. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Fünf Tage waren wir in Meersburg und waren hier zwei mal zum Abendessen. Beide Male waren wir rundum glücklich. Die Bedienungen sehr freundlich, lustig, auf Zack und zuvorkommend. Das Essen kam in vorgewärmten Tellern sehr schnell. Ein leckeres Aperitif hat die Wartezeit überbrückt. Alles war reichlich. Von Suppe, über Salat zur Hauptspeise. Hier geht man satt und glücklich raus.

Das Essen war hervorragend aber als es an das Bezahlen ging kam die Aussage, kartenzahlung erst ab 50€, die Rechnung lief auf 47,50€. Also gut, noch ein Radler bestellt auch wenn ich in der heutigen Zeit einen Mindestbetrag für sehr fragwürdig halte. Nach dem Radler (Rechnung war jetzt bei Ü50€) kommt die Aussage, keine Kartenzahlung möglich, die Papierrolle ist leer.

Sehr netter und unkomplizierter Service. Das Essen ist gut und lecker. Das Lokal liegt ganz am Anfang der wunderschönen Stadt. Es ist schon sehr gepflegt.

Wir kamen als kleine Familie mit Kind (5 Jahre) am ersten Tag unseres Urlaubs her, da nicht weit entfernt von unserer Unterkunft. Wir saßen draußen, deshalb kann ich zur Inneneinrichtung nichts sagen. Da nicht viele Leute da waren, konnte recht schnell bestellt werden und auch bis das Essen da war, war es eine angemessene Wartezeit. Zur Bedienung: Die deutsche Sprache war sehr ausbaubedürftig, die Kommunikation mit unserem Kleinen war daher etwas mau. Ansonsten freundlich, dennoch reserviert. Zur Auswahl der Speisen: Ähnlich wie in fast allen anderen Restaurants. Eine recht lokale Fischkarte. Verschiedene Fleischgerichte. Teils schon etwas edler. Das spiegelt sich in den Preisen wieder. Dazu später. Die Kinderkarte ist wie in so gut wie in jeder anderen Karte Meersburgs ein kleiner Witz. Paniertes Schnitzel mit Spätzle und Soße oder Nudeln mit Tomatensoße. Viel mehr ist es nicht. Die typische schwäbische Küche vermisse ich ebenso, denn bis auf Käsespätzle und Maultaschen, wars das auch. Qualität des Essens: Ich als leidenschaftlicher Fischesser, hatte die Fischplatte (ich hatte noch nie Felchen probiert). Der Teller kam wunderschön garniert, was ich bei einem Preis von 30 € aber auch erwarte. Ich bekam Zander, Saibling und Felchen. Die Menge war völlig ausreichend. Saibling und Felchen waren super. Schmackhaft und gut gewürzt. Der Zander schmeckte nach nichts. Kein Pfeffer, kein Salz. Auch der Zitronenschnitz konnte es nicht retten. Meine Frau hatte Käsespätzle: Menge völlig ausreichend. Leider im Gegensatz zu mir kaum garniert. Geschmacklich aber absolut in Ordnung. Unser Kind Schnitzel mit Spätzle und Soße: Schnitzel durfte ich nicht probieren, da war der Kleine schneller und als ich dann die Spätzle als Resteesser probierte, waren sie leider schon kalt. Konnte nicht genau bestimmen, ob sie selbstgemacht waren oder Fertigspätzle. Zur Rechnung: Stolze 80 Euro mit Getränken (die Getränkepreise sind übrigens in ganz Meersburg horrend teuer! Egal wo, wobei hier ein Glas Wein unter 8 € nicht zu haben ist, das gibt es auch günstiger). Die Hoffnung auch günstiger (und besser) essen zu gehen, sollte trotz der Meersburger Preise nicht verloren sein (Bewertung zu "Alte Post" und "Haus der Weine")

Komisch,beim bezahlen hat es geheißen,Kreditkarten und Debitcard funktioniert nicht,wollten mit Schweizerfranken bezahlen da zu wenig Euro, Kellner"Nehme keine Franken,habe keine Lust wechseln zu gehen,Sparkasse 20 Meter von hier". 200 Meter rauf und runter gelaufen,nicht gefunden, nach Rückfrage hat mir ein netter Herr erklärt,wo ich die nicht vorhandene Sparkasse finde,aber einen Bancomat. Fazit: Anscheinend ist der Kellner,während ich den Bancomat gesucht habe, meiner Frau sehr frech gekommen,warum wir kein Bargeld dabei haben. Das haben wir,59 und 67 Jahre, von den Jungen gelernt. Hätten grad den Geschäftsführer verlangen sollen.

Wir waren heute das zweite Mal in unserem Urlaub dort essen. Es ist einfach nur sehr gut!!!!! Von Spagettti Bolognese fürs Kind bis hin zu Tafelsitz, Maultaschen oder Schweinebraten.Der Salat frisch und perfekt zubereitet. Der Service zurückhaltend freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Wir sind total begeistert, bitte weiter so. Absolute Empfehlung von uns!!!! Ihr habt unsere Urlaub kulinarisch bereichert!

Bedienung freundlich, Essen gut. Doch konnten wir nicht mit Karte bezahlen. Als Chef wurde mir dann der zweite Kellner präsentiert, welcher mir den ausgeschalteten Kartenterminal gezeigt hat. Er sei defekt, als ich sagte, er sei ausgeschaltet wurde uns keine Beachtung mehr geschenkt, bis wir sagten, wir könnten auch ohne Bezahlung gehen. Dann ist er mit der Rechnung gekommen. Doch nur Barzahlung, in einem Touristenort, ohne Hinweis auf der Speisekarte, geht gar nicht.

Das Essen war wieder sehr lecker und professionell gekocht und auch angerichtet. Der Serevice war super freundlich. Wir wurden in diesem Restaurant noch nie enttäuscht.
