Ariana Restaurant in Frankfurt am Main

Beware! In my case, I was charged more than I should have been according to my order. The bill was also written in another language, making it nearly impossible to understand exactly what was being charged. This all seems very unprofessional, almost like a scam to charge more money. At times, it even gives the impression that some of the money might be going into the owner's pocket. The food was also disappointing: I found a hair in the rice, and the surroundings seemed unhygienic and dusty. I also wouldn't recommend this place for women or girls, as certain stares can make you feel very uncomfortable.

Food was top notch. However, I found the service not up to the mark. They served food on broken plates, we asked to give two takeaway boxes, gave just one! I understand it’s a busy restaurant, but I feel the service can be improved! Again… food was really great!

On Sunday, I was in this restaurant. Honestly the price for the (Mahiche Palaw)ماهیچه پلو was good but unexpectedly I paid 4€ for only a cup of tea.

The food was delicious! We ordered Afghan qabi and several other dishes, each different from the others, and all very tasty. I recommend visiting the restaurant. The staff were very friendly. I personally always order from this restaurant; some dishes are very reasonably priced, while others are quite expensive. I hope the food remains delicious and doesn't change. I also hope they reconsider their prices and don't raise them like other restaurants in Frankfurt. The last time we ordered takeout, the order was delayed by about 40 minutes, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. I don't know why. I hope there won't be delays like that in the future. I recommend ordering the Afghan qabi with lamb; it was very delicious.

I was very disappointed with my visit to Restaurant Ariana. The food was of poor quality and didn't seem fresh. The service was also unfriendly and unprofessional – you're barely acknowledged and don't feel welcome. When I politely pointed out the problems, my complaint was unfortunately not taken seriously, and they insisted that everything was fine. The food was not good. In Qabuli, instead of the lamb, they had poor quality mutton. The environment was noisy. There was no sign of peace.

I went there today with two friends and ordered rice and the qufta dish. I found a black hair in the food (presumably from a staff member's beard). The waiter took the dish away without comment, and I felt so nauseous that I threw up. There was no apology... instead, the manager loudly accused me of putting the hair in the food myself! In the end, I still had to pay for the rice. Conclusion: Disastrous service, no hygiene, inedible food – NEVER AGAIN!

I heard very good things about Ariana Restaurant from an Afghan family, so I had high expectations. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to them. We ordered the four-person platter, which included Afghani Pulao, lamb chops, and other grilled items. But to my surprise, the food was quite disappointing. The so-called Afghani Pulao wasn’t actually Afghani Pulao at all ,the rice underneath the grill was plain, and when we asked about it, they simply brought some carrots and kishmish to put on top. The only thing I honestly enjoyed was the chutneys ,they were available in bottles, and you could use as much as you wanted with no restriction. Those chutneys were the only thing that saved the meal for us. Overall, the food was not impressive. I’m sorry, but it just didn’t taste authentic or flavorful to me. Maybe others like it, but personally, I don’t. I prefer other Afghani restaurants I’ve tried in Frankfurt ,they were much better.

I was really disappointed with my visit to the Aryan Restaurant. The staff was disrespectful and not at all friendly. The Qabul Palau rice was on the menu and was served, but unfortunately completely cold. The bread was old and tasted like it was already a few days old. The salad was also really bad – unappetizing and barely edible. Overall a very unpleasant experience. I will definitely not be back and cannot recommend the restaurant. ⸻ I was really disappointed with my visit to the Aryan Restaurant. The staff were disrespectful and not at all friendly. This place is amazing! If you’re like me and love trying new things but sometimes hesitate because you don’t know what’s worth ordering. consider this your sign to try Afghan food here. We came across it during our visit to Frankfurt, and it was incredible. If you’re not sure what to order, don’t worry. I’ll share the mix we tried that turned out to be fantastic. And if you still have room afterward, there are also different traditional desserts you can’t miss. It was one of the worst restaurants I've ever experienced. The Adana kebab they brought me had pieces of metal in the meat. When I spoke to the chef, they not only didn't help me, but simply took the kebab from the table and didn't bring a new one. They were so demanding and rude to me and my wife that I wouldn't recommend anyone who cares even a little about customer service to visit this restaurant. Halal restaurant, Mistakenly I requested two orders but then I wanted to return one the waiter refused ; I was not aware or sure about the size of the meal itself… Anyhow I took it it was Afghani sandwich the amount of onion is more than kebab couldn’t complete it… The place is crowded and full of noise from either inside or outside …

Unprofessional treatment of customers, very poor food quality

Had lunch here with a group of friends. The food was very similar to Mandhi and the quantity was extremely filling. The portion was fully meat with no bones. Great service. Definitely value for money and affordable pricing. They also served salad starters and a traditional Turkish bread as a complimentary side.

Can’t tell you how many times we have eaten here. Maybe one of our most favorite places to eat in FFM. The beans are beautiful. The kebabs are lovely. The Qubideh and the malicha pulav is beautiful. And the portions are quite fair too. Oh and the ayraan helps to send it all down to the pit.

An Afghan culinary experience. I was well served by the waitress who spoke English. Everyone sits wherever there's a free seat, so you might be eating with a stranger sitting in front of you.

Food was top notch! Nothing to add there but only compliments from the bottom of my heart. It was amazing. When it comes to service, it should be improved heavily. Too many servers running around everywhere. It should improve. Decor was pretty basic and did not give me the 'Afghan' experience. fake plastic flowers against the wall, random google stock images where printed and pasted against the wall, the speaker with music was so loud and right next to us. The next day we went back again for the lovely food, and when we asked the server for a seat, he gave us the same table of last time. We didn't want to sit there because of the speaker. When we asked if the speaker would be turned on agian this time, he told us no. But he did turn it on. Not a great experience to be lied to just to get dragged into the restaurant. 2 stars overall. The food was the only good thing, but y'all need to improve.

Mix grill was not cooked well still raw hard and saw the blood only two pieces of lamb . Chapli kabab was not cooked as well I will say even it not smell like chapel kebab manto and samosa zero test. don’t waste your money. Sheeryakh was very delicious .service was 10/10. I have been here several times when I come to Frankfurt for work trips and the service is always fast, the food is consistently fresh, well made and very delicious.

Worst grilled dish I've ever eaten. The lamb tikka and chicken were overcooked. "Adana" or whatever it was supposed to be was extremely fatty and raw inside. The lamb chops were rubbery. Overall, everything was very poorly presented for the price.

The food was very bad, so I went to this restaurant. I ordered food there, but I was very dissatisfied. First, the food was not tasty at all and the quality was very poor. Second, the food was delivered very late, and I had to wait a long time. Third, the server only brought one dish and forgot half of my order. Overall, it was a very bad experience, and I don't want to visit this restaurant again.

Hands down the best Afghan restaurant in Frankfurt and maybe even in Germany. One of the most delicious Mantu I have ever eaten in my life. The service staff took a bit longer but it was also insanely busy. The food came within 15 minutes. My new go to place for Afghan food in Frankfurt.

First of all, the portions were significantly too small for the price, which is a major criticism when visiting a restaurant. I also had to wait a very long time for my order to be taken, and then it took another long time for the food to be served. What particularly disappointed me, however, was the impression that guests were treated differently based on their ethnicity. This should have no place in a hospitable restaurant, as all guests deserve the same respect and attention, regardless of their origin or culture. I sincerely hope that management takes these issues seriously and improves the quality of service and fairness in dealing with all guests in the future.

We witnessed a lot of ethnic discrimination. Although we had arrived several minutes earlier, unfortunately, just because we were not from the restaurant owner's ethnic group, we had to wait 30 minutes for someone to take our order, and during this time, several of the restaurant owner's fellow speakers who arrived after us placed the order and received the food!

Ariana Restaurant represents Afghan culture. It's a good place, I recommend it. However, I tried the Shirikh, and it wasn't good. I hope they improve its quality.

One of the worst restaurants I went to in Germany. The food looked good but the quality was poor. 10 of us ate. We all went to the hospital that night. The owner of the restaurant only cares about money, not food. The rice was left for several days. The meat was rotten and smelled bad. It was unclear what kind of meat it was. We ate a little and got sick.

It was completely tasteless food

The atmosphere was loud and noisy at the same time the employees was not very respectful and attentive! I wanted to have a lunch with my two friends when we got there they told us to wait and they will provide us a table in 5 minutes ! We waited like 20 minutes and three groups who arrived after us without any reservations they got seats and then when I told them that we have been waiting for a while they told us then we can make a table for two but the third person has to wait until another seat is free!

It was my first time trying Afghan cuisine, and I found the food to be quite tasty. However, the service was disappointing. I had to call the staff multiple times just to get the menu, and there was an unpleasant smell coming from the table after cleaned it. Additionally, I requested to replace the lamb in the mixed grill plate, but the staff informed me that it couldn’t be changed.

We had the best experience at this restaurant! The food was amazing,so fresh, tasty, and full of flavor. We ordered the big platter for 5 , and it was perfect. The presentation looked beautiful, and everything on the plate was delicious and was more than enough.Uff the sheer yakh was top notch ,and they make it just the way they do it in Peshawar .It really reminded us of the food from back home in Peshawar Pakistan. The spices, the rice, the meat,everything tasted just like it should. We felt like we were sitting in a restaurant back home.The staff was friendly, the place was clean, and the service was great. We truly loved it and will definitely come back again. If you’re looking for real Afghani/peshawari/Pakistani food in Germany Frankfurt , this is the place to go!

Tasty, well cooked and tender meat... A little salt in karahi would be more better for our taste. We, a group of three people went today but these altogether were too many foods for us. Only Palaw would be enough for us. This is a huge quantity for moderate consumers. We had to pack both the karahi at home. Because Salad and nan/bread slices were given complementary from them. I forgot to take a picture of nan! We went on Sunday and we had to wait around 10-15mins to get a seat. So I suppose the restaurant is busy on weekends. I visited Ariana Restaurant today, no doubt food was delicious, ordered chapli kebab . But the thing is poor management, there was rush into restaurant and only 2-3 waiters was serving. Should hire at least 5 waiters. Much load on service man's due to which no one getting his ordered prepared at that moment. On the other hand Food was Amazing.

Dear Sir or Madam, Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was anything but pleasant. The rice was completely overcooked, mushy, and flavorless. The meat was tough, dry, and seemed as if it had been prepared for a long time – definitely not a fresh dish. Even more disappointing, however, was the service. The waiter was rude, irritated, and clearly had no interest in attending to the guests. Questions about the menu were answered curtly or not at all, and there was no sense of welcome. It's a shame, because with a little more quality in the kitchen and a more friendly atmosphere, this restaurant would have real potential. Unfortunately, I can't recommend a visit. Best regards, H

Disappointed with the Molong Palaw Tried the Molong Palaw for three—meat was poor quality, very salty, and overpriced. Overall, not a good experience.

I visited the Ariana restaurant in Frankfurt and was pleasantly surprised. The food was authentic, fresh, and well-seasoned – the Kabuli Palau and the lamb were particularly excellent. The portions were generous and the value for money was good. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The decor is simple, but clean and comfortable. If you want to try Afghan cuisine, this is the place to be.
