Very popular restaurant in a very central location. First time having Afghan food, but it tasted great! The chicken was super moist and tasty. Read some reviews abt poor cleanliness, but certainly wasn't the case when I came. The staff promptly cleaned the tables before I sat down, once with a wet towel and again with dry tissues. Good attention to detail!

The food: is highly recommended 5🌟 Service: is not that good 4 ⭐️ Atmosphere: if the weather is hot then you will have issue cuz they don’t have proper AC and the ventilation doesn’t work but in winter should be ok ;) 3⭐️

I was here at the restaurant and the service was really bad. Food is very bad and three people ordered food. Two people have already eaten and then the third person comes with the food

They have extremely bad service. Hygiene is quite bad as well. The table where I was sitted, after the previous customer left none came to clean that. Then I asked someone and he just moved teacup and tissue from there. There was water on the table, nobody felt like cleaning it. Then I changed the table by my own, but found that table is dirty too. Next comes the service. I had to order lassi twice and then it arrived when i almost finished my food. I ordered kofta, that was just super average. I Asked lemon and chilli for eating it. They never arrived. Finally I went to the counter for paying my bill and wanted to talk to the manager. There was no managers but only workers. I told them what happened they replied please don't complain we have too many customers! True... overcrowded, very poor food quality and bad service but yes it is halal !

The service was so slow. After waiting for 10 minutes of my order, someone came back and told me they don't have it.

I used to love coming to this Afghan restaurant in Frankfurt for their authentic cuisine, but unfortunately, the quality has declined over the years. I remember the first time I visited; the food was delicious, and the prices were really reasonable. However, prices have now gone up significantly, and sadly, both the food quality and service have taken a noticeable downturn. This time, we ordered a medium-sized Palaw, Lamb Karahi, and Chapli Kebab. Out of all the dishes, the only one I could recommend taste-wise was the Palaw. However, even with that, the amount of meat was inadequate for three people, despite the server advising it was meant for two. The Lamb Karahi was underwhelming, and the Chapli Kebab was particularly disappointing—dry, barely warm, and lacking the lamb flavor as advertised on the menu. The Ayran we ordered was refreshing and tasty, but that’s the only highlight I can mention. It feels like this place has lost its ambition to maintain a high level of quality. The restaurant seems a bit rundown, likely due to its popularity, and the service was far from what it used to be. It’s sad to see a once-great spot lose its charm.

The food was not the best, and I was not expecting the cleanliness and good flavors. I was surprised that it did not come out with a different flavor than Afghan cuisine.

Nevertheless, there are some caveats. The restaurant is not the cleanest in Frankfurt. If you're squeamish, this might be a problem. The place is quite chaotic, at times being so loud you can barely talk to the people you're sitting across from. The service is very irregular, sometimes everything works out perfectly, while others they'll forget to bring your drinks. Overall, you have to ask yourself, can I put up with these imperfections so I can enjoy a delicious meal? If the answer is yes, then come. If not, then simply walk in, order take-out, and enjoy the meal at home.

Maybe the best known afghani restaurant in all of Frankfurt by the choice of Afghans. The service is outstanding and the food is beyond. It's like mama's home made food in Frankfurt. The owner is called Frankfurt chef but to my expectations he is more a funny guy than a real chef. Whoever is the chef may be a or a great chef but not the owner. I loved the company of friends around the restaurant it self.

It's a bad shop, I went there with my family, everything we wanted wasn't there or the machine was broken. Then we ordered the ice cream and half an hour later it still wasn't there and then we ordered rice and... that came faster than the ice cream and the ice cream arrived almost 2 hours after we ordered it

We had the grill mix platter for 2 people. It was extremely tasty and exceeded my expectations, very tasty and very fair prices for the quality, especially the food doesn't feel heavy in the stomach afterwards. Actually not even worth a star, we waited for desert for an hour and our food didn't even arrive in time. Everyone felt like they had to eat it alone because by the time the others arrived, the previous ones had already finished eating. Staff completely unplanned and disorganized and the food was average. I would definitely not recommend it!!!

I went with my friend and we ordered two matoos, a kabuli palaw and a mix grill. The palaw was disastrous and inedible, the meat from the mix grill was half burnt black and half raw. Only the mantoo was fine. There was a lack of hygiene and cleanliness; the tables were dirty and the salt and pepper shakers were also dirty. There was no air conditioning and it was hot like a sauna inside. And it was extremely expensive. Not recommendable.

Very tasty food and inexpensive too. The lamb was super tender and juicy. The store was well stocked, which didn't affect the service. A mixture of restaurant and snack bar. A bit busy. But it's 100% worth it for the food.

I walk into the restaurant and a waiter sits down right in front of me and has Ariana Restaurant written in capital letters on his T-shirt! Looks at me stupidly, no hello, no greeting... I passed her and looked for a free table. I waited 10 minutes until I asked a waiter to clear the table for me... Then I sat for another 10 minutes and waited for a waiter…. Atmosphere just as little, super loud and confusing! I don't recommend it to anyone! After a good 20 minutes I got up again and went out. I hope at some point my dear compatriots will learn how a restaurant runs properly and what service means. I didn't eat there either and wouldn't like to give it a star, but there is no choice other than 1 star.

The food and service were 5 stars for me. The staff was very patient even when we didn't speak the same language and tried to explain the menu for us. We tried the rice plate with veal (a huge piece of meat hidden under a mountain of rice). Both the rice and the meat were so tender and flavorful. Their chillies sauce was packed with spicy and refreshing flavors that go really well with our rice dish. I will come back here again soon...

My go to place for some Afghani food. Although it is a bit crowded and noisy, the food tastes very good and has very high value for money. Better to have a Kabuli Biriyani here than a Döner that costs almost the same.

Hi, I was there for dinner with my colleagues. We ordered some food but after 4 minutes we want to exchange one dish for another but the waiter was very unprofessional and rude. The waiter said your order is blocked. We can't change it now. But we said it had only been 3 to 4 minutes and we had just ordered it. Why can't we just change one dish? After that we talked to another person and then to the third but they didn't listen to us, they were all unfriendly people. But then we stopped talking and just waited for dinner. We ate the food except for the other dish that we didn't want. The food was ok (lukewarm), but except for the other chicken karahi, we didn't eat the chicken karahi. This was our fourth experience here at this restaurant, but each time we had a bad experience with the staff. We just want to say to the boss: If someone wants to change their order, please listen to them because it's not a big deal or a big problem, but you have to show respect to your customers.

I will never come back, we have had stomach ache/diarrhea for 2 days. The grilled meat was very hard, even though I mentioned it at the same time, but unfortunately I didn't see any reaction and I think the Qabuli was left overnight. Poor service and hygiene, I'm really very disappointed. Please do not pass on leftover food to others. This is Germany and not Afghanistan.

I am really very knowledgeable in culinary terms and am also at home in Indo-Asian cuisine. There were 10 of us and we ordered a lot of things and shared them with each other. Everything but absolutely EVERYTHING was excellent! Chapli kebabs were buttery soft and super hearty, the pelau was perfectly balanced and the lamb was so tender that it fell off the bone. Even the red beans, simply a culinary delight and I don't even want to start talking about the Maultaschen and the lamb karahi!!! Even the fresh Ayran with mint was great and the homemade ice cream was perfectly balanced. You notice: I haven't eaten something so tasty for a long time. I'm not a fan of grilled plates either but it was tender and well seasoned! The only sad thing was that there was no more chai. I don't know how much everything cost, though, since we were invited. But on the menu the prices were solid. Top Top Top!!!

We ordered Mantu and Kobida Kabab. The portions are really too small. As soon as we served them, we knew that they were far too small, so we ordered an extra portion for each of us. Unfortunately, we are just as disappointed with the taste as we are with the portion size. I would recommend that they make some changes. I really wish them much success and success. I tried Afgani cuisine for the first time and was blown away by the rich flavors. My friend and I bumped into this place on our stroll in Frankfurt. As soon as we entered, we were enticed by the delicious rich aroma of the food inside the restaurant. We enjoyed Shinwari and Qabuli Pulao a lot, especially the Shinwari. The meat was marinated very well and the burst of flavors upon the first bite was simply amazing. The portion size was perfect for two. The Qabuli Pulao was decent as well. I didn't quite enjoy it as much as Shinwari. I felt that the meat didn't have enough marination although the rice was flavorful. The portion sizes are big and worth the money. The service was slow but it was a public holiday and the restaurant was packed. But to round up, I would recommend this place in Frankfurt for a heavy lunch and relish your Afghani food experience.
