Kebab Han in Frankfurt am Main

Unfortunately, a complete disaster. The drinks didn't arrive until we were almost finished eating – that's unacceptable. The food itself tasted terrible, and shortly afterward, I felt so sick that I had to throw up. I absolutely wouldn't recommend it; neither the service nor the quality was up to scratch.

I was very disappointed with my visit to this restaurant. The server took forever to bring the drinks, and when the food finally arrived, it didn't taste good at all. Shortly afterward, I felt really sick and nauseous. Absolutely not a recommendation.

The waiter was unpolite and kept swapping our food. The Kabuli Palau didn't taste particularly good. The atmosphere in general wasn't that nice.

Apparently, it was extremely complicated to take an order. No one seemed interested. I immediately left the shop and went to Nefis Kebab. They know how to treat customers properly.

Beware of this store. When the health department inspected the store, they found mouse droppings and cockroach infestations everywhere. The droppings were even in spices and food packaging. You can see it all on the Hessen Consumer Window website. Simply disgusting!!

We were here with our family for the first time. The restaurant itself looks nice and is clean. Unfortunately, they didn't accommodate our special requests, like our request for the burger without tomatoes and onions. Secondly, our orders came individually, even though we ordered together as a group. In a restaurant, you're supposed to bring all orders to the table together. Also, you shouldn't offer Chelo Kababeh Kubideh if you can't prepare it that way. Kababeh Kubideh is prepared and served differently than what was served here.

All food including dessert is excellent, highly recommended.

The rice was absolutely rubbish and I think it was from yesterday. I went straight back and the kebab was great 👍 Unfortunately, I don't recommend Kabul Palau. Truly terrible. Very nice waiter and thank you, Bru.

I ordered Qabili Palau at this restaurant, but unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. The dish had nothing to do with traditional Afghan cuisine. The rice was completely tasteless, cold, and obviously prepared long ago. The meat was cooked separately and didn't complement the rice at all—there was no harmony in the flavors. It was clear that the food wasn't fresh and had probably been reheated several times. I was even worried about getting sick. As someone who grew up with this cuisine, I found it an insult to our culinary culture. Conclusion: Absolutely not recommended. If you're expecting an authentic Afghan dish, you'd better eat elsewhere.

June 28 – The portion of Dürüm for €9.50 was very large and filling. Unfortunately, the salad was a bit old and had a strong flavor. I had to stop after half of it.

I recommend you try it once, it was really great.

We attended the Nagma concert on June 14, 2025. The food was provided by the Waten restaurant – unfortunately, it was very bad. Another time, we went directly to the restaurant and ate there. This time, too, the food was not good, and the ayran was very warm. We asked for ice, but there was none. We didn't drink anything after that.

The restaurant have a traditional Afghanistan look. The food was very delicious. The staff was very friendly. WC was clean. I will be back! The prices are ok. Not expensive! You can go in once a week and spend a good time with your loved friends and family. Try it and you'll love it!

This test was fantastic, and the presentation was absolutely amazing! We're so excited to see what else is in store. This kebab platter is one of the best I've ever had! They are absolutely successful in achieving their culinary goals! I was blown away by the way they prepared the rice! The kebab is incredibly versatile and can be enjoyed in a variety of delicious ways! We ordered a platter for two people, and it was absolutely delicious! The interior is absolutely stunning, and the staff are incredibly friendly. I can't wait to be there again!

I had a soup of trotters, or what we call karaeen here in Morocco. It tastes good. The price is a little exaggerated compared to the competitor who sells the same dish for 7 euros. It remains an excellent experience.

The friendly atmosphere? A dangerous deception. The staff treats customers with blatant CONDITION. Not even when you order is asked correctly. During the Ramadan Iftar, there was open teasing with loud groans, derisive giggles and derogatory comments such as "Here's some pork please." But that was just the beginning. What followed was an ATTACK on my health: They mixed a MELTED PLASTIC LID directly into my food. Before this toxic foreign body landed in my Kabuli Palau, I observed suspicious looks and whispers among the staff. As a chef, I know that anywhere else this would be a CRIMINAL ACT that would result in immediate police action. After 20 years in the Bahnhofsviertel, I have NEVER experienced such sh*tty treatment. This shop has already been closed due to hygiene violations - and in my opinion should be permanently banned. The physical consequences were immediate nausea and vomiting. This is a criminal act. Avoid this store at all costs.

I ate a great steak when I visited 2 years ago, but my current impression is that the restaurant is run by different people and since steaks are no longer sold, we ate döner and kebab. I'm not satisfied at all

Ordered 3 meals via Lieferando. 2 meals were wrong. On the first phone call they simply hung up. On the second attempt you were lied to. Instead of lahmacun, pide was delivered with hot sauce, which they tried to sell to us on the phone as open lahmacun. Ordered rice pudding for 6.50 euros. They said on the phone that we didn't have any more, but they delivered baklava. But only 3 pieces instead of 4. So they were also cheated on the price. So never again here

Best restaurant in Frankfurt can recommend!

The chicken kebab were perfection you could break them with a spoon that’s how soft they were, the kabuli rice is made with meat, which I don’t usually eat, but it did not had any smell of meat in it, it was also good. The salad was stale so we didn’t eat it . Service was fine, the waiter wasn’t particularly interested in giving the best service, even though the restaurant wasn’t even half full he was just in a hurry. Atmosphere was nice and clean , the only thing I didn’t like was that the door to the woman’s toilets was broken, not sure for how long and it felt like it will fall on the other side, I hope they repair it.

Here is a clearly and politely worded review: Unfortunately my visit to your restaurant this evening was very disappointing. The Qabili Palau I ordered was served cold. The rice had neither the flavor nor the quality I would expect from an authentic Afghan dish. The meat was also cold and gave the impression that it had been reheated in the microwave. We also ordered Chapli Kebab and Ashak, but these dishes did not meet my expectations in any way. Overall, all of the food was not of the quality you would want from a restaurant. One star is already generous for the experience I had. If it were possible, I wouldn't give a star. It would be desirable for future visits to pay more attention to freshness, quality and authenticity. This review is clear and direct without seeming rude. It shows disappointment and at the same time offers the opportunity for improvement.

Average kebab, poor service. After a long search, I found the best kebab shop in the area to eat a good Frankfurt kebab. The ingredients looked fresh, as did the skewer, so order it. There was no person in front of me, but I was only greeted by the kebab man after 3! Minutes waiting time asked what I would like to order. He didn't look like he had anything to do. Then he finished my kebab very slowly without asking me what I wanted on the kebab. Packed quickly and sent to me to pay (at the counter opposite. Plus point). I then had to take my kebab with everything (even though I didn't want that) for €9.50. To my regret, the salad wasn't quite as fresh as it looked when I went in and I had to remove almost half of the salad. I could have just gone to Burger King. I won't come again.

All ingredients are fresh, not overly fatty but perfectly prepared and simply delicious! Today I was with my wife and daughter at the Watan Kebab Restaurant on Münchener Straße in Frankfurt. The new store recently opened and offers an exciting mix of Turkish and Afghan cuisine. We decided to try the Afghan dishes and it was a great experience. The restaurant is modern and attractively decorated, with some fascinating images from Afghanistan that tell the country's history. The ambience was really impressive. Despite the full house on Sunday evening around 5-6pm, the service was excellent. Our waiter, who is from Afghanistan, was incredibly nice and helpful. He gave us lots of tips about the dishes and made sure that we felt completely comfortable. At the end of our meal we tried the Afghan ice cream, Shir Yakh, and it was extremely delicious - definitely the best ice cream we've ever had. The master who made the ice cream is extremely good at his job and impressed us with his artistry. Overall, our visit to Watan Kebab was a fantastic experience and we can highly recommend the restaurant.

We waited forever for our food. Meat was then cold and kebab only had(!) meat (perhaps well-intentioned...) Others (takeaway) were obviously served before us. As a Frankfurter, I can only advise everyone to avoid this shop. There are also much better kebabs in the Bahnhofsviertel for less money and time...

We were there with a small child. There is enough space for strollers. There is also a children's high chair. We were there mainly for Afghan specialties and ordered Mantu and Ashak. While we waited, we were served warm, freshly baked bread with delicious Afghan chattni. We really enjoyed Mantu and Ashak!

Very expensive for what it is (quality & quantity) We got take away to our hotel ,what we bought wasn't exactly what we paid for because we didn't check before leaving restaurant ,it was packaged ! They've an overrated rating, I thing paid marketing campaign ,not the real value of it. We saw it was empty ,but make the misate to try it , by thinking it's expensive so quality , we saw on the road other restaurants full !! Tourist trap ! I ordered mix grill dish. The spicing was not good. I asked if they can have grilled tomatoes instead of rice. The answer was yes and surprisingly added 7 Euros which is more than 25% the price of the whole order. This is a clear scam.

There are a few restaurants serving Afghan cuisine on the street. However, I have to say that this one is by far the best. The atmosphere is very inviting and very clean. We felt very comfortable and the hosts were really very friendly. On top of that, there were sweets and tea on the house. Lovely again!
