Arabesk - lebanese food in München

I was very satisfied with the good food and the pleasant oriental ambience! I would love to come back ☺️

I had reserved and according to the homepage it was 49€ pp. The next morning (day of reservation) I received unnecessary calls that were really annoying at some point. Luckily I couldn't answer it and replied to his message in writing, in which he unfortunately couldn't form a German sentence, he suddenly changed the price from 49 to 89, even though I didn't even want this song to go with it and this was on the home page didn't stand. When I pointed out to the gentleman that this would be deception according to the law, he sent me a photo of a poster made in Arabic script, which is really ridiculous because just because I am Arab myself doesn't mean that I necessarily have to be able to read the script …. 5 minutes later my reservation was canceled because this uncultured man had no understanding of the fact that I didn't have to pay 89€ pp for such an event that I hadn't reserved, since I would have paid for 4 people and we didn't want to hear this strange singing just food. Conclusion I was there 7 years ago and back then it was already underground, this hasn't changed in 2024/25 either. If this is denied, I will of course post the photos and of course make the cell phone number unrecognizable so that people only see 888 at the end.

I recently went to Arabesk and I just loved it! The restaurant impresses with its warm, inviting ambience and an authentic atmosphere that perfectly reflects the charm of Lebanese culture. We had a wonderful New Year's Eve dinner at Arabesk! The service was very courteous and attentive, the food was incredibly tasty, by far the best falafel I have ever eaten! The owner Karim gave us a pack of falafel to say goodbye! Vegan requests were addressed immediately. We'll definitely be back soon! Arabesque or better said - AraBEST 😏

Best Arabic food in town, abit pricey

The food was good, but the manager's attitude, disrespect and unhospitality undid all the good the chefs do. Never stepping a foot in that restaurant again.

I celebrated New Year's Eve with friends at Arabesk and it was the BEST decision! :) The ambience is beautiful, the service couldn't be better and the food tastes great. Everything is freshly prepared and you can tell. And the owner is really a kind person. :) Everything was great!!!

I was there with my husband on Saturday and we were very positively surprised. Food, service, belly dance show, everything was just perfect and we had a very nice evening. I had the opportunity to chat with the restaurant owner, a very, very nice personality who continues his life's work very proudly and from the heart.

I will start with the positives, the food is good and the staff is friendly and maybe on a different day this would be a 4 star review. The negatives: Service: the food took forever while the restaurant was at 50-60% capacity at best by the time we ordered. I mean, cold mezze should NOT take 40+ minutes to be served. Other reviews mentioned slow service and it is real. Again, I feel bad for the staff (the young lady who served us) and they are indeed understaffed or simply inefficient. Food portion: we ordered the mezze "Royal" for 2 and instead we got 'taster' platter (in my books at least, see picture). Similarly for the mixed grill, the kefta shish is either too small which would be horrendous or half of it fell on the grill and the chef never bothered to make another one, again see the picture. Price: I mean 9€ for a 0.75L bottle of water is theft, simple as that. If the service was efficient and the mezze platter was slightly bigger, I wouldn't have bothered much about the price, but unfortunately this was hard to swallow. All in all, I wouldn't bother with this place if I'm ever back in Munich again.

The food is super tasty, but in terms of price it is really catastrophic. Asking for 4 pieces of kibbeh for almost 10 euros is really a lot. Hummus was almost as expensive, even though there really wasn't much on it

It was a very pleasant evening, nice service, food came quickly. Mezä enjoyed, mixed plate and Kebeh Labaniyeh is the highest league in Lebanese/Syrian cuisine, anyone who can do that has something 😉. So at its finest. We'd love to come back soon.

Our first visit was disappointing. The location is nice, but you're sitting down in the basement, where there are no windows, very dim light and stuffy. Service was somehow irritable and stressed. The starters were very small portions and expensive, but tasted ok. What didn't work at all were the lamb skewers. It smelled so strong that you could hardly eat it. Last but not least, the worst thing I found was the toilets, which were completely filthy.

The service was understaffed and everything took forever. The restaurant manager in the basement was quite inattentive, he could have stepped in. The starters were tasty, but the main courses were hardly seasoned. I suspect that the restaurant was overwhelmed by the pre-Christmas rush. I would otherwise describe it as an authentic Lebanese restaurant

The food is beautiful and delicious, the options are varied, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I recommend it, but take into consideration the situations.

We arrived last night with an 8.30 p.m. reservation. Starter came quickly - but I think waiting 90 minutes for a main course is a long time... The waitress also offered us 2 drinks on the house which she then simply forgot €109.65 for chicken which was really dry and rice with 2 dumplings 2 drinks 2 baklava is already hard.

Unfortunately we didn't eat anything, so it's difficult to estimate how it tastes. After about half an hour of waiting we were able to order and after an hour and a half the starter wasn't there yet and then we decided to pay for our drinks and leave. The restaurant was pretty full and you could tell that the waitresses had their hands full - so it would be completely understandable if the table next to us hadn't come after us and eaten before us. My recommendation - Skip this one, fella!

Overall, our first visit to Arabesk was unfortunately disappointing. It took 20 minutes until we got a card. We even got up to get one ourselves until a card was brought to us. Overall the service was very very slow and inattentive. For example, I would have liked to order a second drink, but no one came to see us for over 30 minutes. It took 2 hours until our food was finally served. The vegetarian starter selection was very tasty. Both of our main courses were a bit bland and not particularly well seasoned. The belly dancer was a nice interlude. Overall the music is a bit loud. Since we were there with a small child, we would no longer come by in this situation.

As a Lebanese, I cannot recommend this restaurant. While it is well-branded and has a polished aesthetic, the food is unfortunately below average, especially given the high prices. The flavors are bland and fail to capture the essence of Lebanon’s rich culinary heritage. The price-to-taste ratio simply doesn’t add up. Here are some specific issues I encountered: * Batata Harra: The dish was overly oily, too soggy, and the extreme spiciness overwhelmed the flavors entirely. It needs to be crispier and more balanced. * Hummus: It lacked creaminess and was disappointingly bland. This foundational dish should set the tone for authenticity, but it fell flat. * Kebbe: The kebbe was too dry and tasted far from fresh. * Grilled Meats: Both the texture and flavor were off—the meats were too dry, making them unenjoyable. * Warak enab was too sour and not so fresh. Service could also be improved. The waitstaff were not as friendly or attentive as expected. My arak order was missed entirely, and despite checking the “birthday” option when booking, there was no acknowledgment of the occasion. Overall, while the restaurant may look appealing, the experience left much to be desired. There’s significant room for improvement in both food quality and service.

One of the best Arabic shops with live music and belly dancers, the food and the price-performance ratio are top notch for Munich and I can't recommend it to anyone

Very nice restaurant. The food is also highly recommended. Only 4 stars for the service because the starter and main course were served 5 minutes apart. In addition, it took a little longer for the starter to arrive. All in all, highly recommended and the food was delicious!

You should remove the word “Fresh Juices” from your menu and write ONLY “Juices” because you don’t offer Fresh Juices. And you should get someone who knows Arabic coffee because if you order Arabic coffee, they will give you coffee beans with water.

The food is fantastic. The atmosphere is loving and stylish. The service still has room for improvement. The ladies were overwhelmed, didn't know where which food belonged, and often got in each other's way. Since I consider this restaurant to be one of the better addresses in Munich, I would strongly recommend that the operator provide additional training for the employees in order to make the experience better for the guest.

It's ok, but as an Arab I wouldn't visit again. The food is delicious and the service is friendly. The portions are filling. However, the minced meat skewer tasted animal-like. The restaurant fits perfectly into the area.

A special team day with a great meal at Arabesk! A very nice, clean and well-kept restaurant. The food is authentic and very tasty. We were very impressed by both the starters for social sharing and the great main courses. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. The staff was very polite and accommodating. There was seating outside, inside upstairs or downstairs in a nice open space. The rooms have an oriental design and are nice and airy. Absolute recommendation.

I had dinner here yesterday (again) and what can I say, it was, as always, a good decision. The location is beautifully decorated, with great attention to detail. There is a very large selection of different dishes. There is also a wide range for vegetarians. The food was incredibly tasty and very flavorful. The service is nice and courteous and not intrusive in any way, even if you order more over a long period of time.

The atmosphere is very appealing and the service is absolutely top notch. People kept asking very politely whether everything was OK. The food was excellent and we had a really nice evening (online reservation was absolutely uncomplicated). A clear recommendation and I would be happy to come back at any time.

Yesterday we went to the Arabesk Restaurant with friends and loved it! The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, the food is fresh and full of flavor. We were particularly impressed by the lamb and the meze starters. The service was friendly and attentive. One of the best oriental restaurants in the city – we would love to come back!

The food is good. However, the hot dishes were almost cold. Service is friendly although they are understaffed and you have to wait quite a long time for your food. What doesn't suit this Arabic restaurant at all is the music. Way too loud and more like bar/disco music.

We ate here on a Saturday evening...The ambience was really very appealing, the service was absolutely top, we kept asking if everything was right, the food was perfect, delicious...We didn't miss anything... Later we were "surprised" by a belly dancer, which is probably always on Saturdays... that was also an additional experience, wow!... the only thing that was a bit annoying was the already loud music... Thank you very much, we'll be back.

Great place to taste the delicious Lebanese cuisine. Super service from the gentleman from Iraq, who takes care of all your needs. Since this restaurant opens for breakfast brunch with Manaqeesh Arabic bread, it has become a very interesting place to eat. Also, the fact that you now can eat at the rez-de-chaussée level and in the summer outside. Offers all kinds of alcoholic beverages, including Arak and Lebanese wine.

My mother celebrated her 50th birthday yesterday with her family and friends. The restaurant offers an excellent experience: the food is very tasty and authentic, with lots of flavor and fresh ingredients. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The ambience is beautifully decorated. Overall a wonderful place for lovers of Lebanese cuisine. My mother had a wonderful birthday and they even played 2-3 songs so everyone could dance. A big recommendation for everyone👍🏼

Absolutely catastrophic. You can't see your dinner because it's so dark. A bottle of water (0.75) costs 9 EURO!! and the food is mediocre.

A lovely evening: appealing menu, delicious food, friendly service, cozy interior, prices as usual. There is a hinge garden and indoor seating. We felt comfortable, but the music inside was turned up quite loud for a normal working day and made conversations a little difficult. Tip: Reservations are recommended and in addition to the main courses, you can also try a few meze!

We ordered mixed grill dishes from Arabesk such as shish tawouk, lamb and halabi kafta, with tabbouleh, grape leaves and cheese samosas. The food was incredibly tasty and authentic. For me, Arabesk is the best Arab-Lebanese restaurant in Munich. Ordering through Wolt was great – highly recommended!

The place is quiet and beautiful, and the atmosphere is as if you are sitting in a lounge. Soothing music creates a beautiful romantic atmosphere. What is more beautiful than this is the food is delicious. We ordered a classic mix from them. It comes with hummus, muttabal, olives, and various appetizers. I advise you to eat meat okra with rice, delicious, and we ordered a cup with coffee. After it was delicious, the restaurant wins 👍

The food is absolutely delicious, and the service is top-notch. The staff and the owner are incredibly friendly, making you feel right at home. The atmosphere is super nice. I was also really impressed that it has existed for 30 or 40 years and has no “outdated atmosphere”.
