The hummus is particularly delicious—creamy, delicately seasoned, and simply delicious with the fresh bread. The other dishes are also made with love, and you can tell that quality is paramount. If you're looking for good food in a relaxed setting, this is the place to be. I look forward to coming back every time."

Unfortunately, the food was very bad and way too expensive. The hummus wasn't really hummus :( The pickles on the side were delicious!

We ordered mixed grilled lamb chops, vine leaves, chicken kebab, and hummus. Honestly, the food was delicious, and the hospitality was excellent.

I've been going there for about six years. The staff (it's a family business) are super friendly and attentive. The food is consistently top quality. I've never had anything that wasn't delicious. You can even sit outside.

This was our second time at the Sunday brunch, and it was absolutely delicious! Very plentiful, with lots of different delicacies in a relaxed atmosphere. The service was friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely be back!

We sampled Lebanese cuisine for the first time with a four-course meal and were thoroughly pleasantly surprised! The waitress was very nice and recommended we try the lamb, after initially opting for just the chicken. The lamb was truly amazing; we're glad we tried it! The lentil soup with lemon and the selection of mezze were also delicious. For the ambiance, we would recommend putting a few pictures on the walls and removing the slush machine from the bar. Otherwise, it was an all-round successful evening. Thank you very much!

The food is delicious, but the restaurant's name, "Al-Sham," is somewhat misleading, as it suggests it's especially suited to Arab families. The presence of a bar serving alcoholic beverages, however, doesn't fit that at all. Furthermore, the prices are disproportionate to the portion size.

Waren gestern dort zum Abendessen, mit einem Groupon Gutschein, schönes, kleines Restaurant, mit echten Stofftischdecken, klarer, sauberer Einrichtung, hatten die Mezze, 18 kleine Schalen mit kalten und warmen Vorspeisen, alles sehr appetitlich angerichtet, für jeden war etwas dabei und auch das warme Brot dazu war lecker. Wir sind mehr als satt geworden. Der Service äussest freundlich und zuvorkommend. Einziger Minuspunkt, 0,2 Wein für 9€ ist selbst für München zu teuer. Danke, wir kommen wieder!

It was a little too cool and uncomfortable for us to just sit. The ambience seemed cold and somehow incongruous. The many small bowls at the table make an initial impression, and some of them contained really nice and tasty specialties. However, many of them are also filled with similar, inexpensive dishes. For example, beans in various variations, etc. So, there's a lot of fuss. I found some items on the menu extremely overpriced. This applies to an extra portion of rice, yogurt with cucumber, or a cup of tea. Drinks such as wine are simply too expensive, even for the selection. The entire pricing concept is somehow inconsistent and unbalanced for me. The other guests' main courses made a good visual impression. Since we didn't order a main course, I can't judge the taste. Conclusion: The white tablecloths alone don't make for a professionally run, good restaurant. The feel-good factor is simply missing. We were served in a friendly and correct, but reserved manner. "Authentic, local feeling" looks different to us and is simply part of the experience of a restaurant like this. Due to the disastrous parking situation alone, we would look elsewhere in the future. The staff we saw consisted of only one person.

The food was sensational. Fresh, delicious, and varied. It tasted incredibly good. The restaurant itself is also perfectly fine. The tables were clean, as were the restrooms. The service was polite and friendly, but could have clearly been improved in terms of customer service. Although only six tables were occupied, there was no interaction other than taking our orders and bringing the food. No one asked if everything was okay, if we needed another drink, or if we'd like dessert. The other tables all had empty glasses, too. That's a huge waste of revenue.

We just had dinner at this place, it was the meal I had been missing for years. We ordered a 2-person menu consisting of soup, 10 appetizers, 3 kebabs and dessert. A wonderful menu that satisfied both the eyes, the palate and the stomach came. Although it was very delicious, we thought it would have been better if we hadn't had soup because it filled our room for the main course 😊 A very caring and warm family business. They also packed the appetizers and kebabs that we couldn't finish and gave them to us. They were local and deserved flavors. 3 people can easily eat with the 2-person menu. The price is a bit high but it is definitely worth it. The tablecloths were clean. The food was hot, the preparation time was long but since the appetizers are in front of you while you wait, it doesn't cause impatience. We came from Stuttgart but I will come back again to experience these flavors. Good job 👌

Decided I needed a break from German food so Lebanese it was! Very delicious dinner! We ordered the fatayer, hummus, tabbouleh, fatoush, kabobs and eggplant! Yummy! Off the beaten path away from the tourist crowds! Well worth the drive! Quiet and peaceful dinner!

The three of us went here for brunch today and absolutely loved it! Everything is homemade, absolutely authentic food. For example, you can taste the mint, tahini and sumac in the various dishes and just enjoy it. Respect and big praise to the kitchen! The service was also very good. We had a Groupon voucher for a starter for 2 people. This was very simple, a bit of hummus and other spreads, two filled rolls of persilien salad but nothing special and the quantity was really small. We couldn't eat two starters at all, they were simply inedible. The service was unfriendly, no one asked if everything was okay or if we wanted to order more drinks. So it was nothing

The Food and atmosphere was so so delicious😍😍 As an appetizer we ordered Arayes djebne which is a traditional bread with cheese and mint inside. It was fresh made and extremely delicious! The portion was big enough to share for 2. Unfortunately couldn’t do the some pictures bc were into it😅 For main dish we took Kebab Leban and Schisch Tawouk which was alsoo excellent. The portions were big enough so we had no space for desserts😅Definitely recommended! The workers were also so nice and friendly!We ordered an extra meal (grilled aubergines,zucchini and tomatos with souse)and they did not even count it in for the price!Made it on house.Thank you so much,especially to the waiter Can!

Food was okay not 100% but service was so bad. Food took 50 minutes. We actually wanted to leave and the waiter was rude. I know the restaurant owner very well. He is a very respectful man. I've been going to this restaurant for 20 years. Now unfortunately I will never come back because people are treated so badly there.

First visit to the restaurant and certainly the last. The treatment was very bad, and the employee was impolite. We were fasting and were requesting food and appetizers. We had to wait more than 50 minutes for the food to arrive, along with the appetizers, which were supposed to be ready in two minutes. When we objected to the delay while we were fasting, the waiter’s response was disrespectful and arrogant. Other than the amount of food, which was a lot, it was small compared to the price we paid. We ate there last Saturday evening and the restaurant really made our evening! Great service, delicious food from the starter to the main course to the dessert, everything was really wonderful! The waiter Fuat also helped to round off the positive image of the restaurant with his nice and committed manner! Gladly again!

How staff deal with sound. Food top. Thanks for the RM. I often eat at your place and recommended your restaurant to my department for dinner. While we asked about the availability of a dish (without paying attention to the fact that it contained kebab), the waiter with long hair and a T-shirt responded directly with “I speak Arabic! we don’t have kebab!”. My colleagues and I thought that was a bit inappropriate and it made us uncomfortable at the time. Otherwise I can only confirm that the food was really delicious and the atmosphere was lovely.

Were here yesterday for a company party and what can I say, I was pleasantly surprised. The starters were all very tasty and the buffet offered something for everyone with kebabs, chicken, fish, lamb, potatoes and rice. The taste of the food convinced me as Alman of the Syrian-Lebanese restaurant so much that I will also come here privately in the future. The buffet was actually only topped by a very tasty dessert and the extremely friendly and courteous service! I was very happy, see you next time!

It was an interesting experience, some of the starters were really good, then there was a lot of show and nothing behind it. With Groupon the price is okay, otherwise totally overpriced, as is the entire menu. The service can be described as rather cold and the ambience of the restaurant has the charm of a train station waiting hall with furniture from a cheap furniture store. There's no picture on the walls and everything is gray, which makes you feel depressed when you eat.

The first time I visited Al Shaam it was still called "Leonrod". That was over 20 years ago... and I didn't live in Munich yet; I drove into the city specifically to eat Lebanese. Because it tasted just as good as where it came from (I've been traveling abroad a lot for work for 30 years). Luckily only the name of the restaurant has changed...the food remains just as good and I always enjoy going there

I was at Al Shaam last Wednesday with a friend and we ordered the set menu for 2! To start, we got the beautiful lentil soup followed by tonnes (and I mean absolutely tonnes) of side platters! We were aware that it would be a mix of 10, but did not foresee how generous the portions would be. On top of that, every single one was fresh and amazing. When the main course came out we were again taken aback by the freshness and portion size. The meat was perfectly done and juicy. Even after all this huge meal, the desert came out and we finished every last piece and considered asking for more 😂 Jamila served us and she was absolutely fantastic, gave us loads of time to choose wine and to finish the Mezze and was overall super kind to us. The Cankaya wine was also great with this set menu! Can’t wait to be back in Munich to go again!

I had dinner at Al Shaam with my friend today and we were very satisfied. We were greeted warmly by the boss and received a very warm welcome. Falafel & tabbouleh were fantastic. The other mezzes were also unique. Each in its own way. We'll be back soon and thank you for the great service.

Rather mediocre. Despite the manageable number of visitors, we had to wait almost 15 minutes before the waiter even came. The food wasn't bad, but it was rather disappointing for the relatively high price.
