Antoki in Bonn

Unassuming from the outside, almost uninviting, but the food and service are amazing. Delicious and very attentive service. Reservations aren't necessary at lunchtime. I'll definitely go back, even though it's not a cheap Vietnamese restaurant. Try it for yourself.

Delicious food and great service. They also have a small selection of excellent vegan dishes. We were pleasantly surprised that the waiter was very knowledgeable about vegan cuisine. That's quite rare. Highly recommended! We'll be back.

Everything is prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and it tastes absolutely fantastic. I'm always thrilled and go to Antoki regularly. The owner and the entire team are also very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant also boasts a lovely, spacious terrace. The atmosphere is superb.

A great restaurant with incredibly delicious Vietnamese cuisine. Parking is available nearby, and a bus stop is within walking distance. There's plenty of room for larger groups. The friendly staff is very attentive. The selection of fresh dishes and the overall taste experience make me want to come back again. Tip: definitely try the avocado and date cheesecake.

We ate at Antoki today with three people. We had to wait two hours for our food. We were extremely dissatisfied with the service (including the owner!). The owner was very unfriendly and disrespectful. The food itself was delicious. However, because of this bad experience, we will avoid Antoki in the future. It's a shame, because the food is really good.

An absolute disaster. We waited 1 hour and 50 minutes for our food. When we politely inquired after an hour, the owner reacted with utter dismissiveness. To top it off, they served us food we hadn't ordered. No apology for this, nor for the extremely long wait. These days, one has to be understanding about staff shortages, but not for the owner's incredibly rude reaction. Never again Antoki.

The interior was quite cold, and we waited a long time for our food, even though other guests were served more quickly after us. Paying with a debit card was a huge issue, which was made into the customer's problem. That shouldn't be the case.

A quietly located restaurant with a spacious outdoor area that invites you to linger. The owner is very friendly and accommodating, and provides expert advice on the dishes. All the dishes we ordered were excellently prepared and delicious.

We've eaten there many times because it's so close to home. It's usually okay. But this time the spring roll was bad – the filling smelled awful. Instead of an apology, the waiter came back with the spring roll in his hand and held it under our noses, insisting everything was fresh. Our mango lassi was also fermented. Then, unbelievably, when we went to pay, we were charged the full price for everything, and despite our protest, there was no agreement or compensation. We won't be coming back…

The food is absolutely delicious. I'm Vietnamese myself and have visited several Vietnamese restaurants. Antoki really impressed me. Highly recommended! Simply wonderful 😋

The food was absolutely delicious, with so many different flavors. The staff was incredibly friendly. The only downside was the long wait for our main course. We chalked that up to being Boxing Day; the restaurant was full. We'll definitely be back.

Food was good. Service was unfortunately too slow. Almost an hour's wait from starter to main course... 😴😕 I also left thirsty because the waiter only came back to take payment after the main course 🤷🏻‍♂️

Top service and excellent cuisine! A real hit!

Caution. All the drink bottles are open, and the waiter says, "We've already opened the bottle for you." But you can taste that the "Gerolsteiner" water isn't actually Gerolsteiner, but rather SodaStream water. The fresh seal on some of the bottles is already torn and soggy, suggesting that the bottles are simply being refilled. I really don't understand the point of this. Just offer bottled water in a nice container; it costs the same. Why do you have to deceive customers and sell them Gerolsteiner when it isn't? The food was okay, nothing special. Prices are quite high for what you get. It's an option, but not a must-visit.

It is very loud, making conversation difficult.

We've been there a few times before, but this time the service was poor. We waited ages to place our orders because the staff were on their break. Then one person received the wrong food, and when we pointed it out, they claimed it had been ordered that way.

I reserved a table for 4:00 PM today via the restaurant's official website and received confirmation of the reservation via email. However, when I arrived on time, the restaurant was closed. I then called the restaurant myself to inquire. The man on the phone was very rude and disrespectful. I didn't even apologize; instead, I was told that I should have known that the restaurant was closing at that time. This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable. If the restaurant is closed at that time, the website isn't allowed to accept reservations. This appears extremely unprofessional and suggests a lack of organization and customer focus. Very disappointing, especially for guests who rely on the information provided on the official website.

Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ Unfortunately, we had an extremely negative experience at this restaurant. Ordering drinks was already fraught with difficulties. The person who appeared to be the owner or waiter (since all the other staff seemed too afraid to take orders) repeatedly misunderstood our drink order. When we pointed out that we only wanted to order drinks and appetizers initially, he reacted negatively, stating that orders could only be taken in their entirety. This is completely unacceptable behavior for a good restaurant. In addition, the waiter's appearance was very unkempt: long, unkempt nails, and an overall untidy impression. The most serious incident occurred when the drinks were served. Instead of the ordered Coke Zero, a regular Coca-Cola was brought – and this was placed in front of my son (a toddler), even though we had clearly ordered apple spritzer and, separately, pineapple spritzer (for his grandmother). When I complained, the owner reacted angrily, grabbed the Coke, brought a Coke Zero, and then tried to blame me, claiming I had ordered Coca-Cola. However, this had been clearly communicated several times beforehand. Furthermore, the whole time there was a feeling that everything had to be done excessively quickly and hectically – completely unnecessarily. The restaurant was almost empty; at most, three or four tables were occupied (out of a total of about 25–30, including the outdoor seating area). Accordingly, there was absolutely no reason to create any stress. On the contrary: if he had taken our appetizer orders directly, everything would have gone much more smoothly and calmly. When the situation finally became too much for me, I wanted to pay the bill and leave the restaurant. Although the pineapple spritzer and Coke Zero were untouched, they were to be charged in full. There was no sign of any goodwill regarding the other drinks either. Instead, the owner even threatened to call the police if we didn't pay the full amount. In the end, he collected the payment without a word and simply left. Conclusion: • Very unfriendly and disrespectful treatment of guests. • Unprofessional appearance and hygiene. • Incorrect orders, a lack of goodwill, and overall disastrous service. • Unnecessary hustle and bustle despite the restaurant being almost empty – relaxed service would have been easily achievable. We will not be visiting this restaurant again and cannot recommend it to anyone. Even one star is too much! 👉 As an alternative, we then drove to the Gasthaus Butscheid in Ückesdorf. There, we experienced the complete opposite: friendlier service, very attentive and welcoming. Of course, they offer a different cuisine, but the food was delicious, the atmosphere pleasant, and the outdoor area nicely designed. We highly recommend this restaurant!

The food is always cooked to perfection and very tasty. Unfortunately, the prices are sometimes a bit too high and therefore unjustified.

Tasty authentic Vietnamese food

Two stars deducted because the waiter was chewing gum with his mouth open. His service was rather unfriendly. The acoustics in the restaurant are poor; it quickly becomes loud and uncomfortable when it's busy. My appetizer was the spring roll Antoki. I was served a tiny spring roll cut into four pieces for €8! That's an outrageous price, dear owner. It didn't even taste particularly good. The main courses, on the other hand, were tasty and reasonably priced. We won't necessarily be back.

We've been to this restaurant many times; we really enjoy the food and it's beautifully presented. However, on our last visit, we were really fed up with the waiter/owner. He's the only one taking our order and is simply rude and unprofessional...quickly irritated and just over the top. At first, we thought it was very important, but in the end, it was too much! We were a large group and generated good sales. If I experience something like that again, I will avoid the restaurant in the future.

Ate here 2 times. Pho bo, pho ga, fried wantan and fresh spring rolls, chicken skewers,… all very tasty! Real ca phe sua da! (VN ice coffee) very clean and cosy inside. Friendly staff!!

We took advantage of the beautiful outdoor area. The interior also looked very appealing. Service was very friendly. The starter, main course, and dessert were all very good. (The duck was a real treat.) With six people, we had the opportunity to try several dishes. However, since it's over an hour's drive, I don't think we'll be back again. Except perhaps on an ad hoc basis. Have a nice time in this lovely restaurant, everyone.

The food was delicious. Something completely different from those "conventional" restaurants that always have the same thing on the menu. One star deducted because the waiter was polite and did everything well, but since there were only two of us, it was clear that he was just serving us in a hurry. The food came quickly and was of very high quality. The view of a riding stable was a bit of a bummer, but you can tell that the restaurant itself does everything it can to create a pleasant atmosphere.

The food is excellent; I've tried several dishes and have never been disappointed. My favorite is the Glory Duck. Delicious duck with crunchy vegetables, spicy seasoning, and a nice dose of chili, served with rice. 👌

Very delicious and authentic Vietnamese dishes, which are also beautifully and lovingly presented. The appetizers arrived extremely quickly, and we didn't have to wait long for the main courses either (we were there on a Tuesday). The drinks always came quickly, too, and I found the homemade lychee lemonade particularly delicious. My only criticism: the sauces were too thin/watery—at least for me personally. Both the peanut sauce for the summer rolls and the mango sauce for the main course (sot).

A bit of a search for the location, but a nice spacious restaurant with a large terrace next to it. Unfortunately we were there at a very quiet time and so we actually didn't need to make a reservation😉. Good food and something different than kebab or gyros or lappie vlees with fries.

I'm here regularly. Why? Very tasty and visually beautifully presented food. Prompt and friendly service. Like the interior design. There is also an outdoor terrace. If you want, you can go for a walk in the forest next door before or after your meal. Because the restaurant is not centrally located, but on the edge of Bonn-Duisdorf next to a riding stable. My son loves the Vietnamese mocktails and desserts.

We had the crispy chicken with rice for the kids (it was a hit) and the adults had a bowl, Obama's Choice, and summer rolls to start with. Everything was delicious. We have been to this restaurant over 5 times now. At first everything was very good. Unfortunately we were disappointed on our last visit. We had reserved a table. But the space didn't fit the number of people at all. Nevertheless, we made a compromise. We were much more disappointed by the arrogance and unpleasant behavior of the waiter (owner?). When ordering, we were interrupted several times in unpleasant ways, such as “Stop now,” “Wait,” or even grimaces that were unpleasant. At first we just laughed… but gradually it became too much. Now we will be eating Vietnamese food elsewhere for at least a year.

Our favourite Asian restaurant in Bonn. A wide range of vegetarian and vegan options - and other items of course. Delicious taste. Good service. Wonderful location on the edge of the forest. I am always surprised it’s not busier.

Price/performance is simply top. The restaurant is a bit out of the way, but definitely worth the trip. There are also enough parking spaces available. We'll be back!

A nice restaurant with well decorated food, unfortunately I wasn't that impressed with the quality of the food and the staff. The braised duck meat was just undercooked and tough. Too bad!

At first I really liked the atmosphere in the restaurant, the food was ok but the person who came to greet us, I don't know if he was the owner of this restaurant or one of the waiters but he was completely disrespectful and rude . We had reserved, but they also accepted every guest who came without a reservation. The person who was the waiter or the owner of the restaurant (I don't know) was very nervous, rude and disrespectful. It's a shame that the restaurant could have been a meeting place for us, but with this experience never again. This man really needs to rethink how he treats customers.

I was at Antoki's for the first time today. I had the summer rolls as a starter. They came cut like sushi with a peanut sauce for dipping. The rolls were very tasty and fresh. The sauce went great with it. I can only recommend the apple lemon lemonade.

Nice location. Food was good, unfortunately it was mixed up (different degrees of spiciness). Waiter, probably the boss, with chewing gum and throwing the beer mats towards the guest to serve drinks. Nice toilet, smell something strong, ventilate it. There is still room for improvement.

Delicious food. It's a shame that almost every vegetarian dish contains tofu or seitan—but you can have it without if you prefer. All dishes are also available in vegetarian versions. In summer, there are huge mosquito attacks outside.

A nice atmosphere, the food was delicious and came very quickly. If the price-performance ratio was better, I would recommend the restaurant. However, we were very surprised that the prices on the menu in the restaurant were sometimes very different from those on the in-house website, sometimes up to €5 per dish. As an explanation, the waiter told us that the responsible IT person was currently on vacation in Vietnam. Unfortunately, the waiter wasn't so friendly anymore, didn't offer us a price reduction as a gesture of goodwill and didn't say goodbye to us nicely either. I hope for future guests that the menu will be adjusted quickly.

Antoki was a wonderful chance discovery; we eat here regularly. The outdoor area is particularly cozy in the summer, but you can also sit comfortably inside. The service is always very friendly and attentive. The food arrives relatively quickly, and in addition to being delicious, it's always beautifully presented. There's plenty of parking right in front of the door. I definitely recommend stopping by!

Admittedly, it takes courage and a strong desire to experiment when you first encounter Vietnamese cuisine at Antoki. It was almost disconcerting that, contrary to my secret hopes, nothing on the menu evoked any associations with the usual Chinese food. So, in the end, the only familiar word tipped the scales when choosing the dish. One that created the impression that a famous former US president had once opted for exactly the same dish. And what can I say? A choice that, after seeing what it looked like, I not only understood, but would have made. And, after tasting it, I would make again and again. If there weren't so much more to discover there. Since I have courage and a penchant for experimentation, that shouldn't be difficult ;)

The food was good. The service didn't meet my expectations in terms of friendliness. It could be much better, even with the language barrier. The location was far too loud and thinly soundproof. You couldn't hear yourself speak. My last visit because of the service.

Food is very good. Ambiance is also appealing. I'll stick with that. Were there several times. After Corona we stayed loyal to the store and left good tips there. Unfortunately, this one waiter is always annoying with his extreme unfriendliness and loud communication across the dining room. It seems to be the owner, as he bosses the other employees around very loudly without any consideration for the guests. The same every time. It's really repetitive. Very unfortunate. Today he treated us and the other guests so unkindly that it was his last visit. That's it. All the other staff are very friendly and make an effort. That's why it's such a shame because everything else fits. Very annoying 😡 👎

Es ist ein Unding, dass der Oberkellner diversen männlichen Gästen auf die Pelle rückt und man am Nebentisch Getränke bestellen möchte und statt dessen zusehen muss wie anderen Gästen die Brustwarzen massiert werden. Unterirdisch! Wir haben zu Hause im Internet auf der Homepage gecheckt, was wir gerne verzehren würden. Dies Homepage ist sowohl inhaltlich, als auch preislich nicht identisch mit mit der Karte vor Ort. Wir waren schon diverse Male in diesem Restaurant und die Verhaltensweise des Kellners ist nichts Einmaliges. Da heute auch das Essen zwar frisch, aber auch relativ geschmacklos war, haben wir beschlossen, dass dies unser letzter Besuch war.
