The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. We were here with a large group for a birthday celebration, and the food still arrived very quickly. It tasted fantastic, was beautifully presented, and the portions were a good size.

We arrived at 11:30, shortly after opening, and were the first ones there. It got increasingly crowded during our visit. I think a reservation is highly recommended, especially towards the evening. We went for lunch and were very impressed! The ambiance and atmosphere are reminiscent of Vietnam. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We highly recommend a visit and will definitely be back!

That was so delicious! 😊 We had a small Christmas party and thoroughly enjoyed the evening at this little restaurant. The food smelled wonderful, looked amazing, and tasted fantastic. ❤️ We received exceptionally friendly service and felt very comfortable. They also offer gluten-free options and a wide selection of delicious (non-alcoholic) drinks. It was our first time there, but certainly not our last. Important: They only accept cash. Hello, we've now been to Cloud several times. The service is attentive and efficient. The food is the real highlight at Cloud. The appetizers arrived at our table after about 10 minutes. While enjoying the appetizers, we weren't pressured to order the main courses, which were also served promptly after we had finished our appetizers. To finish, we had our choice of mochi, an ice cream sundae, and delicious Vietnamese coffee. The food is consistently excellent! There's also a wide selection available for vegetarians and vegans! We'll definitely be back!

After our meal, we were asked to leave the restaurant very quickly. We had made a reservation, and it would have been helpful to be informed of the limited capacity beforehand. The restaurant is very cramped. The tables are packed very closely together. The person sitting behind you is practically breathing down your neck. There's hardly any room for coats or other belongings. It's very noisy. I would rate the food as mediocre. The price was reasonable, though. The service was friendly, but the staff barely spoke German. The restaurant's decor, especially the pictures on the walls, is repulsively kitschy.

The two of us had the mixed appetizer platter, udon noodles, and a dish with rice, vegetables, and beef. Everything was delicious. The waiters were all very friendly. The only minor drawback is that you can only pay in cash. I'm already looking forward to our next visit.

We were at Cloud Vietnam yesterday with our little daughter. When we made the reservation, we mentioned our wedding anniversary when they asked about the occasion. We had candles and flowers on the table, and they added some Vietnamese sausage to our pho. That was so sweet. The staff were so warm and friendly. The food was simply delicious and very lovingly prepared. In our search for the best pho in the Cologne-Bonn area, we've definitely chosen the winner :-). We'll definitely be back soon. Thank you!

Cash only?! That looks very old-fashioned at best, and like money laundering at worst. Otherwise: very tasty food, already prepared, and friendly service.

The food was good, the staff friendly, but they only accept cash payments. There's no indication of this on the website, nor during the online reservation, but only at the door – and we don't accept that sort of thing. We'll just go somewhere else where they're happy to accept our electronic money.

Very cozy, friendly service, a very extensive menu, fast service, superb food, and great value for money. We had a starter, main course, dessert, coffee, and drinks for five people. The final price was €32 per person. I can recommend it to everyone!

A must visit if you’re an Asian food lover - specially a Vietnamese cold coffee lover. So authentic and flavour. Affordable prices, and large portions. Beautiful interiors. We also had the dimsums- which was great !

Great food, fast service, very good price for lunch

I was looking forward to a relaxing lunch at the Vietnamese restaurant Cloud on Bonner Talweg – unfortunately, I was bitterly disappointed. First, the food: The dishes were unbalanced in flavor – everything was unpleasantly sweet. However, things really got problematic when it came to paying: The restaurant clearly advertises that a drink is included with the lunch menu. We each ordered such a menu and also had an appetizer. While ordering, we explicitly asked the waiter whether the drink was included in this case – his answer was yes. Then, when we got the bill, we were in for a nasty surprise: The drinks were suddenly billed separately. The waiter's explanation was absurd – supposedly we had to pay for the drinks because they were "already served with the appetizer." After a discussion lasting over 15 minutes and repeated reminders of his original statement, he graciously explained that "as an exception," the drinks would not be charged this time. To me, this is clear deception, if not attempted fraud. It leaves a very bitter aftertaste when, as a guest, you're first served in a friendly manner and then have to fight for your rights when paying. Conclusion: Bad food, unacceptable service, and questionable billing methods. A no-go for me. I will definitely not visit this restaurant again – and I can only advise everyone to be careful when it comes to billing.

The vegetarian pho was a ready-made broth, with the noodles and vegetables completely overcooked. The soup could just as easily have been served as minestrone in a bad Italian restaurant; there was nothing Vietnamese about it.

Insider tip in the southern part of town! Spicy and strong sauces, creative dishes, a tasteful ambience and very friendly service. We'll be back :)

If Vietnamese cuisine tastes like this, then it's a hit! We all enjoyed it very much. It was a joy to see the presentation of the food on the plates. Update July 2023: We were very satisfied again. Update December 2023: This time too we had our food very quickly and it tasted excellent again.

Oui, la nourriture était très bonne. Les Bo buns étaient particulièrement excellents et les portions généreuses. Service agréable et souriant. Cadre également agréable. Par contre, un bémol. Il est impossible de payer par carte bancaire dans ce restaurant, et bien évidemment ça désole les Français que nous sommes. Il nous a donc fallu partir à la recherche d’un distributeur automatique de billets vers 22 heures et Dieu sait que c’est désagréable.

I didn't know that Edame tasted even better grilled! In the restaurant, it's the little things that set the shop apart from the rest. In addition, the prices are fair. Highly recommended.

We've dined here many times, the food is excellent, 5 stars for the price. However, far too often the service has been unreliable and the waiting times too long. One waiter alone cannot take the orders, make the drinks, clean and serve the 20 tables, then handle the payments - still cash only, which seem to be a recurring issue given the other reviews.

Very nice Vietnamese restaurant. They have very cute decorations and a peaceful ambience, and they serve a variety of dishes. You can get coconut curry, stir fry, or soup. I also remember they had a sushi bar of sorts, but I did not try. Seemed intriguing, though! The servers were quite friendly. Payment is cash only. Would go again!

Incredibly real vegetarian spring rolls. Living here I wasn't even asked if I wanted tofu or not. I also don't think the price is justified for two popular spring rolls or rather summer rolls. In addition, the summer rolls were first wrapped in foil and then in a plastic box. I then made tomato soup at home instead

The food was good overall. The summer rolls were a special highlight. The fried noodles were good, although a bit small. The curry was rich. Both dishes came with a dressed mini salad.

We really liked the atmosphere, but I wasn't 100% convinced by the food. However, it could also be because I have been to Vietnam too often and it is difficult to meet my benchmark. In my opinion, like almost every Vietnamese restaurant in Germany, Bun-Cha is missing from the menu. Even pre-ordering a Bun-Cha option if you plan to taste it with a group would be enough. I can still recommend Cloud-Vietnam if you want to immerse yourself in Vietnamese cuisine and try something new/different.

Wer gerne asiatisch isst oder es mal ausprobieren möchte, ist hier bestens aufgehoben!! Es gibt eine reichhaltige Auswahl an verschiedenen Speisen. Wir waren sehr angetan und es war alles sehr schmackhaft. Zum Glück hatten wir reserviert. Das Lokal war bereits um 19:00 komplett ausgebucht. Danke an das sehr freundliche Personal und die fleißigen Köche!

Simply great. The operators are very, very friendly and we love the deliciously prepared food. Coriander and Thai basil are served separately, so I can dose myself. We also like the large vegetarian selection and the homemade iced teas.

After our Vietnam vacation, we finally wanted to eat authentic Vietnamese again. And finally, after a long search, we did it. We had Bun Cha and the fried spring rolls. And it was great! The staff doesn't have that good knowledge of German, but they make up for that with their absolute friendliness. We'll definitely come again :)

It was just great! From the delicious starters (mixed platter for 2) to the delicious non-alcoholic mixed drinks to the main course and finally the Vietnamese coffee - everything was perfect. Large and exciting selection of vegetarian dishes gives you extra points! And everything is really affordable and not overpriced!!! When we are back in Bonn, we would like to come by again.

Very positive. In my opinion the best Vietnamese in Bonn. I have already recommended the restaurant to colleagues and they have always received very positive feedback after they have eaten here. I agree with the previous speakers, the ingredients are very fresh. What I particularly like is that not everything is completely overcooked, but you can taste the individual ingredients as you eat and they are combined very harmoniously. They also put effort into the rice and it is very aromatic. The atmosphere is down-to-earth and pleasant, just like the owners. Comes highly recommended!

The restaurant is relatively small, but was well attended on a Sunday evening. The food is super tasty and totally recommended. I would bring some time as it takes a little longer. But it's worth the wait.

We were at Cloud Vietnam on Friday evening and were able to easily reserve a table two hours before arrival, even though the restaurant is rather small. Despite the full house and few staff, the drinks and food were served quickly. The appetizer platter (tapas for two people) was fantastic – it was easily enough for three people! The main courses were also very tasty, sufficiently portioned and authentically Vietnamese. Overall, a great taste experience in a cozy atmosphere.

A nice little restaurant in Bonn with a very cozy atmosphere. Choosing the dishes on the menu wasn't that easy for me. The quality of the food is absolutely fine. The portion size could have been a little more. The staff very friendly and accommodating. In terms of price-performance ratio, it's a bit too expensive for me.

Had a really good dinner, the soup hit the spot. Broth had a slight kick and great beef flavor, would recommend.
