Saigon Garden is a welcome surprise tucked away in Bad Godesberg—a Vietnamese restaurant that, despite its rather extensive and at times overwhelming menu, delivers quality where it matters most. The key to a good dining experience here is knowing how to navigate the menu: stick to the dishes with fewer, well-chosen ingredients. When you do, you’ll be rewarded with vibrant, balanced flavors and consistently well-prepared meals. The freshness of the herbs and the authenticity of the broths stand out. Whether it’s a fragrant pho or a light rice dish with grilled meat and vegetables, the kitchen shines when it keeps things simple and traditional. Service is another strong point. The staff are not only attentive and friendly, but genuinely committed to making guests feel welcome. There’s no rush, no artificial politeness—just quiet efficiency and kindness that complements the food well. As for dessert and coffee: Vietnamese cuisine has many virtues, but pastry is not among them. A perfect way to round off the meal is to cross the street and enjoy dessert and coffee at the excellent café Epi, directly opposite. The contrast works beautifully. In short: Saigon Garden is not about flash or fusion, but about quietly convincing, honest cooking—and a staff that seems to care. Choose wisely from the menu, and you’ll have a very satisfying experience.

The sushi was incredibly delicious. The waitress who prepared and served the sushi was extremely friendly. However, the waitress seemed unhappy with our seating choice, even though we had asked her beforehand if it was okay. As a result, she seemed a bit brusque and served and billed too quickly.

The food was truly excellent—fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant and inviting. I would especially like to highlight the service: the waiters were extremely friendly, attentive, and courteous. I would be happy to come back!

We visited on a Sunday evening and the place was completely full, so I definitely recommend making a reservation in advance. Despite how busy it was, the staff remained very friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Our food arrived quickly and was beautifully presented—you can tell they put a lot of care into the details. The portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Prices are average and fair for what you get. Card payment is accepted, which is always a plus. Overall, Saigon Garten is a great spot for delicious Vietnamese food, warm service, and a relaxed dining experience. Highly recommended!

It started out promising when it opened, but by now it's just another Germanified Asian restaurant that no longer tries to be authentic. I wish they stuck to the Vietnamese menu, and did it right. The people are very nice though, but I don't think I'll be coming back, unless the food becomes worth it...

One of the truly good Asian restaurants in Bad Godesberg. I went for lunch and got a nice seat by the window. It definitely pays off to make a reservation in advance. I chose the spring rolls and the Pho soup with tofu while my friend had the flying noodles. Everything was delicious, fresh and the portions were generous. This is definitely my new favorite restaurant in town.

The food is excellent and the service helpful. Unfortunately they use (poorly made) AI images in their menu. It gives an unrepresentative expactation of the food and a generally disingenuine appearance.

My husband and I have eaten there several times and it has now become our favorite restaurant in Bad Godesberg. Very friendly and attentive staff, the food is lovingly prepared and fresh! Every time it is a culinary experience. I recommend everyone to eat there and try out this delicious Vietnamese cuisine. There is also sushi there. We always went there for lunch: the atmosphere there makes you feel good. Always well attended but not uncomfortably crowded or loud. A thank you to the whole team.

Talking or writing a lot doesn't help much. You have to try it. Nicely decorated food and very tasty too. One or two drinks are a little too sweet for me, but of course it's a matter of taste. Luckily there is something for everyone. Definitely recommended!

The people that work here are the kindest and happiest! The food is also delicious my son adores the peanut sauce with his chicken in rice! Photo is enjoying leftovers with more sauce at home!

The best Pho soup I have ever eaten: super fresh ingredients, the herbs on the side to use to taste... I hop they never change the recipe! Also the kindness of the owner,b always attentive to the costumers and politness over all. Love it!

One of the best Vietnamese restaurant I had been to.

Excellent food, gladly again. One point deducted because our table was right at the counter, behind which the cooking was open and plates were constantly being passed to the service staff. Our clothes also smelled like kitchen afterwards. Next time please try another table.

Good Vietnamese cuisine, attractively prepared, good portion size and - what I particularly like - I spontaneously got a table for two, even though it was actually full. Space was quickly made. Very customer friendly and therefore from me: full marks! Ps: you can also have a great lunch there ;)

The food was excellent and the cook (probably the tenant asked us personally whether the food was good! Unfortunately, the service added the drinks from the neighboring table to our bill - he could have rectified the mishap that he fortunately recognized - he did But of course we didn't get the money back

Good dishes with a decent price/performance ratio. Of course it's not really authentic, but on the other hand it's rare to find a real currywurst in Asia. Unfortunately, service was a bit slow on the day of the visit, even though it wasn't too busy. But all the employees were friendly, so: It's fine!

The Saigon Garden in Bad Godesberg convinced me! The food was delicious and the portions were so big that I was full. The short waiting time was particularly positive. The ambience is pleasant and invites you to linger. If you like Vietnamese cuisine, you should definitely pay a visit to the Saigon Garden.

Really great shop! I love Asian cuisine - really authentic! We have been here several times and can really recommend it! Very friendly staff and great atmosphere!

Absolute recommendation! We first had a small (holy) sushi selection, unfortunately without a photo, and then Mama Mango or Curry, each with chicken. And everything was sooooo delicious! Service attentive and very quick. Only our seat in the middle of the restaurant was a bit uncomfortable or restless in the passageway. When we're in Bonn again, we'll definitely stop by again!

A really cozy girls' evening with delicious food, so lovingly and creatively prepared, it's a feast for the eyes. 👀 The service is attentive and quick. While we were eating we were asked if everything was okay. 👍 We had starter and main course. Both were simply delicious. 😋 Also the homemade rhubarb lemonade, refreshing and not so sweet. 👍 A lovely evening all around. Gladly again. 🤩 P.S. Reservations are an advantage as the restaurant was very busy on a Wednesday.

I'm actually not a fan of Vietnamese cuisine, but I've changed my mind! The freshness and taste were great and convinced me. The lemonades were very good and went well with the food. All in all, the culinary journey is worth it and an enrichment in Godesberg!

About a year after opening, the Saigon Garden restaurant has firmly established itself as a place to go for good Vietnamese cuisine. In summer you can sit outside, and inside it is also busy at any time of the year, especially in the evenings. We appreciate the authentic Vietnamese dishes, of which we have particularly tasted and learned to appreciate the salads with mango, papaya and glass noodles over the last few months. These come with fried onions and chopped peanuts and can be ordered with chicken or shrimp. For the main course, I'm a big fan of the medium-rare tuna steak with pepper sauce or with red Thai curry (€23.90). But the fried glass noodles with shrimp, beef or tofu are also a perennial favorite. Rice dishes, rice noodles, udon and in the cold season also the pho, it all tastes so good that we haven't even gotten around to trying the sushi, which looked very good at the next table. A good choice are the homemade lemonades, such as the ginger lemonade (€5.50) which is served with fresh mint and limes. The service is courteous and attentive. The processes mesh together and so you don't have to wait long for your food. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, sometimes the noise inside can't be avoided. We regularly go to the Saigon Garden, also because of the good price-performance ratio, as you can find very good dishes here at relatively moderate prices.

I've been there a lot now and tested it a lot. Starters and main courses are very good. Lots of choice. The homemade lemonades are a blast. There is also a large selection of sushi. Civilian prices. Card payments are now also possible.

We really liked it there, we were looking for a cozy restaurant and refuge from the rain. When we found ourselves in this restaurant it was like we were on vacation 😍.The service is good, the food was very tasty 😋and looked very appealing. They probably don't deliver, but you can pick up your order locally. I think price/performance is okay. We would be happy to come back.

Currently the best restaurant in Godesberg and one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Bonn. The selection of dishes is sufficient and they are presented attractively. The food is freshly prepared (you can look into the kitchen) and we like it very much (we have been there several times). I recommend making reservations, especially in the evening. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We will be back!

During our Easter short break in Bonn we were in the mood for Vietnamese and found this wonderful restaurant where we got a nice table without a reservation on Easter Sunday evening. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly service, all dishes freshly prepared, perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented and very reasonably priced. Highly Recommended.

Price/performance is right, I like drinking the coffee here. The food also tastes good. When we were there you couldn't pay by card. The ambience is ok but doesn't blow you away either. During peak times you should have reserved a table; dogs also seem to be welcome. Is worth a visit.
