Alte Schule Fulda in Fulda

The three of us had a reservation for dinner at the old school restaurant, which I remember from my childhood! The new ambiance is very chic and elegant, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food arrived very quickly! We ordered a wrap and two bowls of fries with feta and chicken, along with the delicious "Mathematics/Physics/Geography" lemonades, and we were very happy with our meal. The sweet potatoes were crispy, the ingredients fresh and tasty, and the wrap was beautifully presented! For dessert, we ordered an Advent cappuccino, which was also beautifully presented and arrived piping hot! We were very satisfied and will definitely come back!

The Alte Schule completely won me over! From the ambiance to the service – everything was excellent. The decor is stylish yet cozy, perfect for a relaxing evening or lunch break. My absolute favorite restaurant! I love the food and the delicious lemonades there. And since the sensational renovation, you can sit there in really plush surroundings!

Great breakfast buffet! We were there with seven adults and four children and felt incredibly comfortable! Super delicious food (my favorites: beetroot salad, couscous salad, and delicious mini croissants), extremely friendly service, and a play area for the kids. So, it was just right for us; we were thrilled.

The food was delicious, although the sweet potato avocado bowel was very soft. But that was probably due to the avocado cream. The drinks always took quite a while to arrive. Otherwise, everything was great!

A great restaurant-café with plenty of vegan dishes, a great "old-school" atmosphere, and friendly and attentive staff. However, the restroom is only accessible via stairs in the basement.

An architect once had a keen eye for detail in this historic setting. The restaurant is airy, quirky, bright, spacious, and inviting. The menu is straightforward but highly recommended. The burgers and fries bowls are absolutely amazing. The staff are attentive, cheerful, and friendly, making your visit a pleasant one.

Set in the rooms of an old school. Very spacious and cozy. What I noticed/liked on my last visit: I was able to take the rest of my food home in a container for a deposit. Very sustainable. Everyone should do this!

A great restaurant in the heart of Fulda with delicious drinks and tasty Schmeggerwöhlerchen (sweet pastries). We especially enjoyed the warm service and the Schnukketüte (sweet treats).

Die Alte Schule in Fulda überzeugt auf vielen Ebenen: Das Personal ist durchweg freundlich und aufmerksam, das Essen hervorragend und die Getränkekarte gut sortiert. Besonders positiv ist mir das neue Innenraumdesign aufgefallen – modern, durchdacht und mit viel Liebe zum Detail umgesetzt. Hier wurde definitiv Wert auf Atmosphäre gelegt. Auch die Lage ist ideal – zentral in Fulda gelegen, perfekt erreichbar und damit auch gut geeignet für einen spontanen Besuch in der Stadt. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Die Preise sind recht hoch. Qualität hat ihren Preis – ja, aber gerade bei einigen Speisen und Getränken wäre etwas mehr Ausgewogenheit wünschenswert. Insgesamt aber eine sehr gelungene Adresse für alle, die gutes Essen in schönem Ambiente zu schätzen wissen.

I had a few hours layover at night and decided to stop by here for a few drinks. Unfortunately, shortly after 11 p.m. on Tuesday everything was closed and dark. I couldn't find anything about it either on the website or on Facebook.

We went to the old school for breakfast. We were offered a great breakfast buffet in a lovely atmosphere. We didn't miss anything and really enjoyed it.

Was here for the first time. I still know the location from the good old days of the museum café. Unfortunately I have to say that I wasn't impressed. Food was so-so (breakfast buffet). There were no highlights and for the unimpressive offer, 25 euros per nose is really cheeky. The service seemed rather confused and inexperienced. Overall it would be ok if one were to pay attention to the price-performance ratio.

A historic building, a wonderful space, interpreted in a modern way. Airy, light, comforting. Everything was fine. Gladly again.

Quite nice. Quite loud and a bit cramped. Limited food offerings. But it didn't bother me. Was interesting. The wine was definitely delicious. If I'm in the area again I would eat there again.

I've been here several times now and always enjoy coming there 😊 Whether for something delicious to eat or a delicious homemade lemonade. I can only warmly recommend it to everyone.

Almost a little insider tip, as it is rather inconspicuous from the outside. Inside there is a great location, very friendly young staff and delicious food. Thank you for the lovely evening. I'll definitely be back! I have one small note: the toilets in the basement should be checked every now and then for cleanliness and paper. However, this had no impact on my general satisfaction.

We didn't like the food (Gyros French Fries Bowl) that much. And I also mean something different by oven-baked vegetables. You had to wait a bit long for service because the waitresses were more busy gossiping. I would have liked more attention for the guests. And a tip, make the portion a little smaller.

Came with two hungry kids... After waiting for 15 minutes I went to the very young looking waiter and asked to please take the order. However, the boy just took note of this and didn't come for the next 5 minutes. As we got up and put our jackets on, he arrived. However, without a word of apology. Incredibly slow and rude service. Disappointed.

Great ambience in the middle of Fulda. You have to see this. The food is rather average and we waited almost an hour for our burger and the lentils. The staff was friendly and usually got everything done straight away. The prices are a bit higher. You can pay by card here!

The food is really delicious! We were there on the weekend evening and it took about 30 minutes for drinks to be taken. Another 30 until everything was there. The service did its best, no blame to the staff, they were all very nice. But whoever writes the roster, please include more people, 2 waitresses on a Saturday evening is not enough :-)

The food is very good - especially the fries! The atmosphere is appealing and something special. Unfortunately we had to wait an hour for our food, which can quickly turn sour with children. This is definitely better. Nevertheless: We will definitely come back here again.
