We actually wanted to book this hotel because of the good reviews using a Jochen Schweizer voucher that we received as a gift. But unfortunately we keep getting rejected. So only one star. Very unfortunate.

Wonderful stop on my Maximiliansweg - a real insider tip! Rita and Frank are super friendly - even with dog owners - Frank cooks delicious South Tyrolean style! I can only recommend personal care instead of vending machines! Many thanks to you great hosts!

Very friendly hosts, breakfast and dinner very good, room was clean with a nice view. Our goals were achievable in a short time. All in all, we had a very nice short vacation.

Very nice operator. Great location, like almost everything in this valley on the main road, but still great to sit on the room balcony or terrace with a view of the mountains. Although there were staff absences in the service and kitchen, they were friendly and apologized for the slightly late dinner. Since they said it in a timely manner, this wasn't a problem. We felt very comfortable.

We were warmly welcomed by Rita and Frank! The rooms are perfect, with a large balcony. The food was plentiful and excellent. The two respond to every single food wish and fulfill it. We felt very comfortable and were able to switch off, exactly what we wanted! The highlight was the time in the pool (right Rita 😉👍). Thank you again for everything. Gladly again. Definitely recommended!!

We booked a room at short notice at a reasonable price and that alone justifies the stars we awarded. The first impression: The entrance is next to the smelly garbage dump. Inside, instead of a reception, there is a chaotic room full of stuff to renovate and a table littered with open papers. Data protection looks different - a nice hotel too. The path to the room is old-fashioned, but okay, it's obviously under renovation, we understand that. What didn't work was a supposedly non-smoking room for us absolute non-smokers, in which, judging by the smell, people were smoking. That's probably why the yellow wall paint was used; if it were white, the nicotine stains would have come through. The balcony could be nice, south side, great view, but it faces directly onto the main road and is therefore virtually unusable. But we were there for an active holiday, so we didn't spend much time there. Unfortunately, the short time we had wasn't particularly nice either. Toothpaste stains on the wall in the bathroom. Unfortunately it was only superficially clean and the shower head was completely calcified and obviously cheap - no way to adjust it. In the evening on the way to bed we had to chase a gnat, which unfortunately was sitting on the ceiling above the closet. I don't want to reproduce what it looked like ON said cabinet. Inside, however, it was fine. The beds consisted of very narrow, hard but saggy mattresses. It wasn't comfortable and cuddling was impossible thanks to the wide "visitor crack". But the bed linen was clean and fresh. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast that was offered several times because of the chaotic "reception", although the breakfast room behind it was really nice. We didn't go to the beer garden either because prices of €17.50 for half a chicken etc. put me off. There was loud music in the beer garden from the afternoon on - it didn't bother me as much as it got quieter towards the evening, but you have to keep that in mind if you have to spend more time in the hotel, for example because the weather was bad. All in all it was a great holiday, but the hotel didn't help matters unfortunately. We won't come back.

I have rarely experienced such a friendly welcome in a hotel. I was immediately looked after in a friendly manner. Drinks arrived in a flash and the food was also very tasty. Every individual request was implemented promptly and always politely and courteously. Everything is tip-top clean. The bathroom in the 80s retro look surprised and pleased me very much. No uniform, smooth-iron paste like in other hotels, but a chic, pleasant retro flair where you feel comfortable. And again, everything is tip-top clean! So some companies can learn a lot when it comes to service, cleanliness and friendliness. TOP! Keep it up! Sometimes the flies were annoying from time to time due to bad weather, but they were promptly taken care of by the owner on a night shift that same night. So TOP! And the owner can't help Mother Nature's capers.

Super nice team who do a lot for their guests. Ideal for groups. Food is good, beer is expensive but on tap! Liquor cheap

We only stopped there briefly to have something to drink. Everything looked good so far. The landlord was very friendly and we had a good time. Were greeted with a handshake. There's probably a really cool, relaxed atmosphere there.

Food great and plentiful. Service excellent. The innkeepers are very friendly. The rooms are as you would expect from a slightly older inn. The breakfast was plentiful and the selection was reasonable. All additional concerns that may not necessarily be part of the normal hospitality business (e.g. tool carts for the motorcycles) were also taken care of. Overall everything was excellent.

We were warmly welcomed by the owners Rita and Frank. There was even a welcome schnapps ;) We were a group of 6 people and were cycling. We were guests for one night. The hotel is located exactly on the Königssee cycle path. The rooms were clean. The terrace and beer garden are very nice. The owners only took over the hotel last year and are very concerned about their guests. Thanks Rita & Frank

Overpriced food prices. Charging over 15 euros for a currywurst with fries and sauce is absolute extortion. When we asked what kind of sausage it was, we were told that it was a red sausage. We then asked whether the sausage came from a jar or a can (soft skin). The first answer was whether we should get drunk now. Sorry even if it was just meant in fun. This shouldn't be thrown at the guest's head. We will not visit the hotel again and certainly not recommend it to others.

Stopped in spontaneously and received a very friendly welcome, the chef is amazing... he can cook too... so we like to spontaneously come back to the house and order currywurst with homemade sauce, awesome, and of course a Moet with it, perfect, this is how you save the day... see you soon

Danger! After our stay at the inn we cannot understand the previous recessions. There were cobwebs in the room and it seemed rather run down. There is a towel for the body and one for the hair, but none for the hands. Hospitality experience seems to be missing here. The hair dryer was old and full of hair. After we left we had forgotten a new pair of glasses and a necklace in the room. We called the same day and asked if they could be sent to us. This was answered in the affirmative for us. It's been two months since then, we still haven't received our glasses and necklace. We asked four times. The statements were "we've screwed this up so far", "we haven't gotten around to it yet" and so on. The last statement was: “my wife must have done that - I’ll ask”. After that they simply hung up and no one answered the phone.

Gladly again! Breakfast and dinner were great, beds were tidy, rooms were clean. You can't complain.

We were at the Landhotel Alte Post with a car, trailer and motorcycle. Even the reception was super friendly! We had a room with a balcony and mountain view, everything was very good. Since there was just enough space, the trailer and motorcycle were allowed to stand in the garage, which was very reassuring for us. The two owners are the soul of the house, they do everything with a lot of love and commitment. Every wish of the guest is taken into account and both are always friendly. The breakfast is very rich, egg dishes are freshly prepared and served at the table. The food in the evening was also delicious and plentiful. We wish Rita and Frank all the best and would be happy to come by again! Best regards Peter and Simone

We stayed here for 2 nights and were completely satisfied. Breakfast and service were top. Very nice and attentive innkeepers who, despite their busy work, take the time to chat. We'd love to come back.

Clean room, comfortable beds, large balcony. Very nice hosts. Excellent cuisine. Attentive service, great breakfast. Your wishes will be addressed individually. We were definitely not there for the last time.

Very hospitable owners who carefully look after the well-being of their guests. I immediately felt welcome. Before I had fully arrived, I was offered a drink on the house. That was a nice gesture. The owner cooks himself. The food was good. The breakfast is served attractively, there was enough choice, and wishes are catered to individually (sausage, cheese, jam, honey, vegetables, egg dishes are freshly prepared for each guest, coffee, tea, juice). The rooms are clean, balcony with mountain view, which was of course great. The country hotel is conveniently located for discovering the Allgäu. I would book again. Eine richtige Poststation, am richtigen Ort.

Wir haben hier Abend gegessen. Spätzle, paniertes Schnitzel und Pommes waren sehr lecker! Die Soße hätte meinem Geschmack nach mehr gebunden sein dürfen. In einem sehr netten Gespräch haben wir erfahren, dass sie wohl zum erstenmal montags auch geöffnet hatten (Ferienzeit) und dann völlig überrannt worden sind, da viele umliegenden Gaststätten montags Ruhetag haben. Damit hätten sie nicht gerechnet.... Daher war an dem Tag die Hölle los und es gab nur noch paniertes Schnitzel mit Spätzle oder Pommes. Alles andere war aus. Anfangs war es zwar etwas chaotisch mit den Bestellungen und den Leuten, die zahlen wollten, aber das Essen ist wirklich empfehlenswert. Sie betreiben die Gaststätte seit März 2023.

Super, haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und einen riesen Gruß an die Senior Chefin.
