Nagelfluhlounge in Oberstaufen

Went there for dinner in the evening, we were the first guests. Nice man in service but drinks took a really long time, very strange. It took at least an hour for our food to arrive. The food was good, but the waiting time until you were served and then, for example, a second drink was on the table, was not possible. You get the card and then you wait for half an hour, even though you have to make eye contact with the service for 20 minutes. The same thing happened to the other guests who came one by one. We then placed our dessert order and left. Really a reason for us not to come anymore. Music selection and sound also bad… What a shame, nice shop

Cool location in the Kurpark in Oberstaufen (Kurhaus) Beautifully furnished room with atmosphere. Good beer. Was only there to drink. You can also dine there with typical dishes.

***Not suitable for people with dietary restrictions*** Because of my celiac disease, I asked the restaurant when I made my reservation whether gluten-free options were available. After talking to the chef, I had a good feeling and was looking forward to the evening. I was told to let the staff know and they would take care of everything. However, when we arrived it turned out that no reservation had been made, which seemed strange. Luckily there was still space on the terrace. I ordered the vegetable skewers, which are regularly served with couscous, and pointed out that the side dish needed to be changed due to my gluten intolerance. I suggested rice or quinoa and offered to accept other alternatives. To my surprise, I still received couscous. When I asked the waiter, I was told that this was gluten-free. Since I know that couscous usually contains gluten, I asked another server. After consulting with the kitchen, she confirmed again that it was gluten-free. Naive as I was, I started trying. It tasted like regular couscous. Finally I spoke to the chef who then admitted that it was regular wheat couscous. This was not only disappointing because I had asked and pointed it out several times beforehand, but it also had a negative impact on my health. Unfortunately, even when I left the restaurant, I didn't have the feeling that they were As the icing on the cake, we were only reimbursed for the drink on the bill, while the food that was delivered incorrectly and that I didn't order was charged in full. The restaurant offers a nice view, but unfortunately that was the only positive thing. The communication between the waiters and the kitchen doesn't seem to work. In addition, the waiters were heavily overloaded and stressed. Even the fact that the reservation wasn't noted should have been a warning signal. Even when leaving the restaurant, I felt like the team were aware of the implications of their negligent behavior, which made the entire experience even more frustrating. Unfortunately, this restaurant is not suitable for people with allergies.

Super friendly. There is also a nice children's menu with some typical dishes.

The male waitress should be a little more attentive when walking through the restaurant. I mean the senior waiter.

Very cozy interior, the service was courteous and the beef brisket schnitzel with lentil ragout was a hit!

Exciting dishes, super fresh salad, very nice decor and great service. I had kohlrabi "schnitzel" with cream mushrooms and bread dumplings. Delicious! A gem in the rather old-fashioned (culinary) Oberstaufen.

Wow! Great ambience, very tasty food and, above all, super friendly staff. The food came quickly, hot and fresh. You can sit on the terrace with a great view of the park. Fair prices. We were there twice in three days and received extremely friendly service both times. We were there with our little daughter (9 months) and the staff were very attentive and child-friendly. Unfortunately, this is rarely found today. We were absolutely thrilled and can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant! Thanks!

Restaurant with a modern ambience, fits perfectly into the image of the spa park. Goulash soup excellent and inexpensive for the size. Service extremely courteous.

Despite the rain, it was a great time because there was a lot to see around.

Nice atmosphere... a bit stressful service

As a break from a hike, I spontaneously decided to drink a shandy on the beautiful terrace. I only had my cell phone with me to pay - paying with a VISA card was signposted. When I paid €4.50, the friendly waiter told me that card payments were only possible for orders over €10. He called the boss, who confirmed this to me - due to the alleged high fees. He said that he actually had to call the police, but grudgingly accepted my payment of €5, rounded up. On the one hand, it should have been written if there is a minimum amount for card payments, and on the other hand, in a customer-friendly manner, he could simply have said “exceptionally…”. My plan to go out to eat there has now been cancelled.

We booked a table for an early dinner for 4 adults and a toddler. The restaurant is just next to the Oberstaufen Park with beautiful views of the greenery and mountains. They had a very comfy high chair for our son and plenty of space inside. I had the Bergkäse Maultaschen which came with spinach and bulgar, I also had a side salad. It was all lovely, very fresh and well seasoned. For dessert I had the Kaiserschmarrn which was delicious. Our toddler loved the pasta with tomato sauce. Our waiter was fast and attentive.

Location is very nice. Unfortunately I can't judge the food because after 1 hour we didn't even get our drink (despite the reminder). We then left. Other guests have clearly complained about the waiting time and the chaos there.

The dishes are freshly prepared and taste very tasty. Beautiful garden terrace directly at the spa park. The staff is friendly and you can spend lovely hours here. The waiting time is a little longer, but the quality of the food makes up for it.

Unfortunately we weren't happy with the food. The attempt to create something too special by, for example, offering "wasabi cranberries" with the Maultaschen, but then cranberries from a glass with a green dot of wasabi on the tube next to them, gives rise to false ideas in our eyes. The biggest negative point from our point of view was that all the vegetables (except for the salad and the raw vegetables) were not fresh, but frozen (the cauliflower, the carrots, etc.) and the mushrooms came from a jar. The waiter accepted the criticism very well and was generally nice and friendly. The next table had tarte flambée which looked good! A trip is definitely worth it for a drink, but we wouldn't come back for the food.

They have good dishes and others not so much. It depends on what you ask for. The starter salad was not very tasty, the fish was good, the Maultaschen with cheese lacked seasoning. The price is good, but the price/quantity ratio is not very good. The staff is friendly, but the food took forever to arrive and also a long time to pay. The atmosphere is very good, it is built next to a park with a special view.

Beautiful atmosphere, at midday it was over 30 degrees outside, nice and cool and pleasant inside. The food was fresh and delicious, the children's spaetzle a bit too greasy. Super hospitable, moderate prices and child-friendly (with nice high chairs, toys, gummy bears). More than satisfied!

We were staying nearby and came across this place! Our waiter was so kind, we got into a “dankeschön” contest! We were a party of 4 and ordered off a few different dishes off the menu of the day - the best out of these dishes was the whitefish!

Great location, modern and at the same time comfortably furnished with lots of wooden elements, is quietly located in the park. My dishes (beef broth with pancakes & vegetable skewers) tasted sooo good!!! The service staff was very friendly and attentive. Would love to come back.

A really nice quiet place! We were there with 2 children and had lunch. The service was very friendly and attentive. Immediately after ordering drinks, toys and painting materials were offered for the children. The food is very tasty and is often reinterpreted! The location at the spa park is great and the insider tip in bad weather is the bowling alley in the basement! We were thrilled and would love to come back!

We were there for coffee with 6 people (including Grandma & Grandpa) on Sunday, May 26th, 2024. Despite the great weather, the terrace was relatively uncrowded and so we were able to secure a great spot with a great view of the beautiful spa park. The coffee and cake were very tasty, but the best thing was the super friendly service. The lady ran the whole store by herself and wasn't annoyed for a second, etc. Very nice, with a lot of charm and wit, she gave us a great time. We'd love to come back. Kind regards from the Eifel

We were there with 2 children, 5 and 7 years old. The service was very nice and child-friendly. The children received puzzles and books and their own children's cutlery. The food was very tasty. The service was exceptionally good ;-)

We went there for lunch today, a great place in the middle of a very well maintained park. The service was extremely friendly and gave us tips for a few things to do in the area. If we are in the area again, we will come back!

Today, on Easter Sunday, we had lunch with seven people in the Nagelfluh Lounge. Until now we didn't know that there was a wonderful, extensive, excellent lunch menu. Great atmosphere and a chic, separate bowling alley.

Great furnishings, the UFO fireplace is awesome, I would love to see it in action. Friendly and committed service with a great sense of humor, very tasty food, large vegetarian selection BUT unfortunately only one vegan main course. But at least one instead of just salad and fries. I had the steak, a clear recommendation for it, it was a piece of buttery tenderness! My friend's vegan grilled skewer was also very good, but not so good that she wanted to eat it again straight away; more choice would be good, see above. And she would have been very happy about a vegan dessert. Tip: Mousse au Chocolat made from silken tofu, simply quick, everyone likes it and keeps well when refrigerated. ;⁠-⁠)

That was a nice end to a day of skiing. Great atmosphere and the lady from the service took care of all the requests of our large group (11 people) super quickly and with a lot of warmth. We will be back.

Eine toll geführte Lounge,gutes Essen und Service.

Ein wunderbares Lokal, schön dekoriert, mit toller Aussicht und noch besserem Essen. Empfehlung.

Waren Anfang November mit zwei Kindern mittags dort. Das Ambiente hat uns sehr gut gefallen (altes mit modernen toll kombiniert) und das Essen war sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet. Der einzige Mini-Minuspunkt: die ersten 10 Minuten war weit und breit niemand zu sehen. Nach weiteren 5 Minuten wären wir wahrscheinlich gegangen und hätten das leckere Essen verpasst.

Echt coole Location! Angenehme, nicht zu Laute Hintergrundmusik, so das man sich ohne zu schreien, entspannt unterhalten kann. Es lohnt sich unbedingt in der Nagelfluh Lounge vorbei zu schauen! Schön eingerichtet, gemütlich, und einladend. Sehr nette Leute, gediegen, unaufgeregt und trotzdem modern. So fühlt man sich wohl. Ob ein einfacher Earl Grey Tea am Nachmittag oder ein richtig temperierter Tullanore Dew, am Abend. Entspannung pur! Vielen Dank ans Team! Wir kommen wieder! Fix

Wir waren 2x zum Essen dort . Der Service ist super freundlich , kompetent und schnell. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön man fühlt sich dort richtig wohl. Es liegt ruhig am Park . Das Essen war super lecker und sehr reichhaltig. Das Essen könnte auch 1-2 ,- teurer sein und wäre immer noch günstig . Die Qualität der Speisen ist super . Wir kommen bestimmt wieder .

Unser neues Stammlokal im Urlaub. Sehr nettes und lustiges Personal. Er kennt schon unsere Bestellung auswendig ;) Essen ist immer lecker und für jeden was dabei.

Cooler Typ der serviert . Schöner Platz zum chillen

Scheinbar gibt es hier einen neuen Pächter und es ist toll, dass wieder ein Angebot an dem tolle. Platz gemacht wird. Der Blick auf den Kurpark ist wirklich toll und man kann dort sehr schön sitzen. Das Essen war in Ordnung aber für die Preise, bekommt man in Oberstaufen definitiv besseres Essen. Ich denke hier ist noch etwas Potential nach oben.

Die Idee, das Konzept (allgäuer Tapas) und die Einrichtung sind super. Leider hält da das Essen bei weitem nicht mit. Die Chili-Kässpatzen waren OK, aber eigentlich nur abgebratene Spatzen. Wo das Chili war, blieb mir verborgen. Die Bratwurst empfand ich sehr fade. Den Kaiserschmarren mit Holundereis hätte ich mir besser gespart. Das Holundereis war einfach nur Süß, aber leider weder cremig, noch schmeckte es nach Holunder. Und alles in allem ist es doch eher hochpreisig, da man, wie bei Tapas so üblich, mehrere Dinge bestellt um satt zu werden. Fazit: Es reicht nicht ein tolles Ambiente zu schaffen, man muss auch Qualität liefern, zumal, wenn man solche Preise abruft.

Allgäu Tapas sind einfach prima um mit Freunden einen Tisch voll essen zu bestellen und den Abend zu genießen. Service war kompetent und freundlich. Der Bezahl-/Servicewürfel zum drücken ist eine gute Art um sich verständig zu machen. Klasse Idee.

Wir waren am 15.09.21 in der Lounge zum Essen mit einem anschließenden fantastischem Musikevent. Die „Allgäuer Tapas“ der Küche sind die Wucht und suchen ihres Gleichen. Der Service ist sehr zu vorkommend, außerordentlich freundlich und hat uns den ganzen Abend verwöhnt. In fast privater Atmosphäre spielte die fantastische Musikgruppe „Hot Club du Nax“ Lieder der 20er und 30er Jahre. Es war ein gelungener Abend und man hat wirklich etwas verpasst wenn man nicht dort war. Das Konzept der Lounge ist nur wärmsten zu empfehlen.

Leckeres Essen in toller Umgebung! Sehr freundliche Bedienung! Trotz recht vollem Lokal ging alles fix. Mir hat es sehr gut geschmeckt. Preis-Leistung passt für mich!
