A very nice, cozy restaurant with a great menu that truly has something for everyone. The portions are generous and the plates are lovingly presented. Our dog was warmly welcomed and immediately given a bowl of water. We highly recommend this restaurant!

Quaint shop where you're even allowed to smoke in some areas. The food (Hawaiian toast, pizza, and currywurst with fries) was tasty in generous portions and reasonably priced. Special praise goes to the service, which was incredibly friendly and very attentive. I'll definitely be a regular 💯

Delicious schnitzels, good value for money. The picnic tables aren't very comfortable, but they do fit the atmosphere of the restaurant.

There's always something going on in old Berlin

Very very slow service. No English menu and no one could answer questions. All guests are smoking and a none-smoking area is missing. The waitress finally came to take our order, excused herself and left, without taking the order. We waited and waited and finally left and went to another restaurant

Unfortunately, this is a smoking restaurant, but we were able to eat smoke-free in the winter garden - you only have to go through the smoking area to use the toilet, but there wasn't much going on there when we visited. The food took a while, but when it came it was clear why. The food was freshly prepared, and the chef knows how to make fried potatoes! The service was friendly and in a good mood.

Unbelievable, we were so excited, the front area was even for smokers. The food was great. I got 2 different sauces in jugs for the schnitzel because I like eating both so much. Top moderate prices for beer and schnapps are something you won't get in any pub. Really great service. Simply great If we come to Wolfsburg again, we will definitely go here again.

We're only there on weekend evenings to party. Good music is played there, although the DJ is very moody and doesn't respond to requests. A bit of everything is played, whether Malle, 70s, 80s, 90s or current. There is dancing and celebrating. Care is taken to ensure that it doesn't get too crowded and that women aren't harassed, as the boss and the bouncers look at it. If you want to spend a nice evening, you should go here. Food is supposed to be good too, but I haven't eaten it yet.

We were on a mission to get a new car as a group. Since we booked a hotel in the city, the question was: "Where can you get home-style food?" Google gave the answer. The "Old Berlin". So off we went through the city and what can I say, after initial skepticism because of the smokers, we had completely arrived. A beautiful rustic pub, magical service, delicious food, great choice of music from the DJ. We felt completely comfortable and will probably come again when we are nearby. Warm greetings from southern Saxony, especially Theresa, Mackenstedter is now one of our regular drinks.

Super tasty, awesome atmosphere. Prices are more than fair and unbeatable. Very courteous staff. Free parking in the immediate vicinity from 6 p.m.

I can really recommend this restaurant to anyone who values ​​quality, authentic taste and excellent service. I would particularly like to highlight the chef Mudi, who does a really great job here. His cooking is simply sensational - every dish was perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented and full of flavors that blew me away. You can feel the passion for good food in every little thing here.

Failure! We walked extra far to visit this “restaurant” because the reviews were so good. When we walked in we weren't greeted. Instead, they were kindly ignored and a cigarette was lit instead… We left again. It was 6:45 p.m. and nothing was going on...

This is a local pub where many customers come alone. Beer and wine are cheap. The food was okay too. I liked the spicy schnitzel because it had bell peppers on top so I could eat it without feeling greasy.

Please don't go to the toilet...disgusting! The schnitzel are deep fried and not fried in a pan as it should be, culinary disaster! Never again!

The Alt Berlin restaurant impressed me with its cozy atmosphere in the winter garden and excellent cuisine. For starters I chose a soup and a fresh salad - both were very tasty and beautifully presented. For the main course I chose the duck breast with red cabbage and croquettes, and I have to say this dish was an absolute highlight. The duck breast was tender, juicy and perfectly cooked, the red cabbage was pleasantly spicy and the croquettes were crispy on the outside and wonderfully soft on the inside. The food was a total pleasure and the attentive service made the evening perfect. I'll definitely be back!

Really good place and service. We feeled welcome and as wanted guests. Got reccomendation what to order. And definitely it was best snitzel i had. We came again after couple of days and was same good.

Nice pub/bar. With smoking and non-smoking areas. Nice and friendly staff and delicious food. Unfortunately there was no trace of soap on the toilet, but I really hope it was a mistake. Because there was probably a bigger party there yesterday. I would definitely eat there again on my next visit to Wolfsburg.

Haven't been there for many years, but still solidly good. The “winter garden” turned out really beautiful. A little investment in the toilets including soap would be good. But nonetheless always worth a visit. 😉👍🏻

Just excellent. All we wanted was a couple of beers and a couple of schnitzels, simple. Waitress was soo patient with my rubbish German and could not have been more helpful. Schnitzel Weiner Art was delicious.

Found it via Google and absolutely loved it! Very generous portion of Jägerschnitzel with fried potatoes. Super delicious, freshly breaded schnitzel and crispy, perfectly salted fried potatoes. ☝️As well as my husband's onion schnitzel. Top! The service lady was super nice and, as a Franconian, I got a freshly tapped Radler 🤘😂 When we're in the area again we'll eat HERE!

After sitting for half an hour we were asked if it was to our liking, we had not yet had our food and asked if it was almost ready. It was a bit of a laugh and after waiting a total of an hour. If only we left and left money on the table for drinks.

There were about 10-12 people eating, so we chose to order food here as it also seemed traditional. We ordered a currywurst with fries, a goulash soup and today's dish schnitzel with vegetables, fries and vegetables. The soup was about 2 dl of finished soup with canned mushrooms, a few very small pieces of meat and a few other things. Add 1 piece of toasted white thin bread. Very disappointing. Currywurst good taste, fries were small ends and leftovers. Today's dish, meat ok, bag of vegetables ok and mushroom sauce probably also from bag. Would not recommend it. Feedback We are from Denmark.

We were there 3 times during our business trip. Beer is great, as always in Germany. Food quality was also OK. On each day of the week, there's a dedicated food day, with promotional prices: one day it was a "schnitzel" day :) so of course we tried it. One of the waitresses speaks Polish, greetings to her :)

In short: The food is what I expect for a pub. The service was really nice and even chatted with the customers. It would have been nice to have a note that you were getting drinks from Pepsi and not Coca-Cola when you ordered a Cola Zero (without looking more closely at the menu). Not bad, but that's where expectations meet reality in terms of taste. ;-) The Jägerschnitzel was good, although I would have liked fresh mushrooms instead of from a jar/can. The roasted potatoes were very fatty and seemed like they had been fried. Preferably less fat and higher temperature. Otherwise I was happy with it. The pizza looked small at first, but the amount of cheese on it was very filling. The sauce on the pizza was very flavorful. I like it a little less spicy, but that doesn't mean it was bad at all! The pizza dough was really good! €2.50 extra for a handful of pickled peppers somehow hurt...

You can go party, for young and old

Unfortunately, I wasn't really thrilled. The Milanese style schnitzel was unfortunately quite dry. Yes, a schnitzel is without sauce, but a good schnitzel is usually crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Unfortunately, the ketchup I ordered was not real ketchup but this imitation spiced ketchup (sorry) mush. It would be nice if that were mentioned. Unfortunately the Cola Zero was a bit stale. Since today is Tuesday schnitzel day (each schnitzel €11.50), I would have expected the waitress to point this out to me and not for me to mention it. I always like to mention that I grew up in the catering industry. Oh, do you really need to give a false statement or answer here? I was there alone and of course I didn't order any schnitzel. On the contrary, I didn't eat all of mine because it was too dry.

We have been eating here once a year for 3 years. Every time we drive past the motorway near Wolfsburg. Today, for example, we came over from the WE trip from Cuxhaven to have a delicious meal.

Price/performance ratio was great. What was really annoying was that smoking was allowed in the front part, even though this is the more rustic part for us.
