To put it simply – just a few kilometers away you'll find Tyrolean hotels and Tyrolean hospitality. A hotel or business on the edge of the Alps needs to be set up completely differently. Conceptually, it's not exactly top-notch. The infrastructure is fantastic, but it's miles away from what Tyrol and South Tyrol offer. And no, the comparison isn't far-fetched, as we're looking at a huge hotel that needs a proper concept and guest strategy. They absolutely need to invest, restructure the business, and have it managed by locals. You can clearly see that there's a corporation behind it, and the only goal is profit. Sorry, but it's so inauthentic. And that's what makes the difference in the hotel industry! It's fine to cater to a few Chinese and English-speaking guests, but I hope people from Bavaria and Württemberg won't be impressed by this. Invest in your employees, cultivate a warm and welcoming atmosphere, avoid projecting the image of an investment firm behind your business, and give your company an appealing and authentically positioned sophistication. Following the reviews, I ordered the exact same roasted pork belly and beer. Although it's just the usual roasted pork belly for Asians, the crispy skin was really delicious! Paired with the beer, it was absolutely delicious!

Small self-service kiosk by the lake. We just had a drink and enjoyed the view.

A cafe overlooking the Alps near Neuschwanstein Castle. We didn't eat anything, but we grabbed a beer and a bretzel and enjoyed the view. There wasn't much of a variety of food, anyway. The women who prepared the order were very friendly and sweet. The reviews were low for this place, but the view and comfortable seating made us happy.

It's self-service, so don't expect a waiter to come to your table. The view is wonderful, there are few options for draft beer and food, but overall it's good. The price isn't too high either; I'd recommend it to a friend.

We stopped by for a drink and a quick break. The atmosphere and view were great. At lunchtime, about 30% of the terrace was full. People gradually trickled in. The prices were rather high for what was offered. The employees at the self-service kiosk were moderately friendly. They'd probably prefer somewhere else. A quick drink, expensive but okay.

I had a surprisingly excellent pork belly sandwich which was delicious with superb crackling. Add in great beer, excellent toilets, wonderful views and reasonable prices this makes it one of my fav tourist style eateries. P.s. the WCs are kind of hidden at the back of the building behind the kiosk... everyone queues for the front ones!

We actually just wanted something to drink. Despite the rather poor reviews, it should be enough for that. But at a price of €4.50 for a 0.33 liter of water, we decided against it. Even up at Neuschwanstein Castle, a 0.5 liter only costs €3.50.

In good weather, you have a beautiful view from the terrace of this magnificent building. Prices are high because this is a tourist hotspot.

A royal terrace with royal prices. Self-service. A beer costs €5.50. But once you sit down, you quickly forget about that. It's wonderful to relax on this terrace after a long, tiring day; the view of the lake is breathtaking and beautiful.

Small self-service beer garden with a beautiful view of Lake Alpsee. A kiosk is a kiosk, so what do you expect here? A three-course meal? A tourist hotspot. You can ask about prices at the kiosk. If it's too expensive for you, there's no need to buy anything. I drank a coffee. I ate Obazda (traditional Bavarian sausage), albeit a very small portion. It was nice and good.

The place is beautiful. Right on the lake, simply unique. But that's about it. There's self-service at a snack bar for steep prices. The draft beer was empty, so they offered bottled beer for the same price – poured listlessly, with no foam at all. The coffee came from paper cups, less charming than in the university cafeteria. The cake, which cost €4.50 a slice, lay broken on the plate. It wasn't good, but it was expensive, and the tables were dirty. All in all, lousy service and poor quality – the location alone saves this dump.

The opening hours listed on the website unfortunately don't match reality. The opening hours stated that they were supposed to open at 11:30 a.m., but in fact, they still hadn't opened at 11:50 a.m. In the meantime, a long line had already formed because many people were expecting the restaurant to open on time. The ambiance is very nice and atmospheric – that's a definite plus. Unfortunately, the food, as is often typical for such places, is of rather poor quality and very expensive. The value for money here is simply not right.

The view is worth its weight in gold. I was expecting a café/restaurant, but it's basically just a snack bar with paper cups and wooden cutlery. What a shame.

Like others have said - there’s not much to say about this place. It’s a snack shop with the usual stuff. However the views are spectacular and worth taking a break here instead of any other spot on the road. There’s tons of seating, all self serve. Plop yourself down and people watch.

What an incredibly beautiful place. The Alpine Rose Terrace right on the Alpsee. There's a self-service restaurant in a beautiful wooden hut. Non-alcoholic drinks, royal beer from the Kaltenberg Castle Brewery. Sausage salad, potato salad, bratwurst with a roll or pretzel, coffee, and cake. Everything is fresh and high-quality. We'd love to come back.

Were there after the typical tourist day. The beer was okay, the price was a little more than usual but okay. Plus a Lilet for the wife, you get a small bottle without anything else for 7 euros. If there was service behind it, it would be outrageous, but there is nothing there. This restaurant lives from its location, nothing more.

You can't call espresso a short american coffee

If you ever visit Neuschwanstein please bring food from home/elsewhere. All the available options are either bad or expensive. This one is both. The sandwiches were cold and were just served in a napkin making it impossible to eat it without making a mess.

Pure rip off. Prices are just outrageous. Also self-service. Empty glasses should even be brought back yourself. 1! Toilet for 100 people. The location is of course amazing. The owner walks around in a classy light blue suit but has people working who don't speak German. Probably speaks volumes.

Quite a good restaurant, the food was standard for this type of restaurant, the beer was nice, some of the prices seemed quite high, but we had food and beers, the views from the restaurant were beautiful, you could also pay by card. The service was quite nice.

The pricing, which can certainly be described as cheeky, is more than just questionable. Charging €4.50 for 0.33l of water is audacious. The price for a 0.5l beer at €5.20 is reasonable, but only because of the location. You should also bring plenty of time with you, as even short queues take a relatively long time.

The purest rip-off! First of all, you can spend 20 minutes of your life queuing for self-service. And then you pay the hefty price of 4.50 euros for 0.3 liters of water. You feel really ripped off.

Bratwurst came lukewarm from a thermos box at lunchtime and not from the grill. It gave the impression that the sausage was fried in the hotel kitchen and then delivered to the beer garden. For €7.50 an absolute joke and not justified by the tourist location! As a hotel guest, this didn't contribute to a smooth stay.

When the weather is nice, there is a beer garden with a great view. You can argue about the prices in combination with self-service and quality. It wasn't that important to us for a short break.

Given the prices, you should expect someone to be there to collect the empty bottles or glasses - no, you will be asked to bring your glass back. Service 0★ Ambience 5★ - of course that's not because of the restaurant, but just because of the beautiful view. But ultimately it is the restaurant that should be judged first and not the view. Ps: the bratwurst in the roll was good.

'Goulash soup in bread' is essentially Erasco stew in a paper cup with a roll on the side, for €9.90. Never again

I bought a drink for my girlfriend and I from the stand outside. As if almost €10 wasn't already expensive enough, the young Asian lady also embezzled another €10 in change. Despite my advice, nothing could be done. Of course mistakes happen, I know the pressure of being behind the counter from my own experience, but it is usually more likely that the customer knows what he has paid. After all, you only have one order on your screen and not a few dozen from before.

I have no problem paying a little more in a nice touristy place. But charging €4.20 for a half-filled paper cup of cappuccino is a complete impudence.

So I have to say one thing in advance: the space and the view are great. But that's it. A nice beer garden that you could really do something with. Instead, self-service (which wouldn't be a problem in itself), there are 2 small wooden stalls, the service was friendly but also extremely slow. I stood in line for about 25 minutes for two cappuccinos (there were about 10-15 people in line in front of me). The cappuccino was served in a paper cup that was only half full and lukewarm. And all for €4.20! I'm happy to pay a little more for a place like this with this view, but what they allow themselves to do here is beyond the pale!

The bread in the goulash soup was rock hard. For 4 spoons of goulash soup almost 10€. That is not how it works.

What was that? A shame for such a location. It feels like people have been working here for a day. Something urgently needs to be changed because the location is great.

Alpenrose am See - here you definitely pay for the view! I was very disappointed because I was really looking forward to one of the ice creams advertised. When we arrived there was little going on and a makeshift wooden house had been set up in the beer garden. Unfortunately there was no ice cream, and the selection of food was also poor (cheese pretzels, goulash soup, pretzels and cheese sticks). There were two types of cake (raspberry and strawberry cake) and various drinks. For a really small piece of raspberry cake I paid 5.50 euros and a drink, so I was just under 10 euros. The drink was very tasty and the cake was also very good, but too expensive! After all, we are talking about a self-service beer garden, so you should adjust the prices accordingly and not take the service into account. I only give one star for the service because there was no self-service option. The lady in the makeshift wooden house was very nice, but slow, so a long line quickly formed. Really disappointing for the place in my opinion. Especially since the Alpenrose homepage doesn't say a word about the fact that there is no ice cream, instead it continues to be advertised. A pity! "You can enjoy the most beautiful view of the Alpsee in the Alpenrose am See. More precisely: on our wonderful terrace, where you can watch the play of light on the lake in a relaxed atmosphere. Negative experience. Non-existent service, the boy at the kiosk was very slow, the bill was done in pen, no receipt and they only accept cash, huge queue to get 2 beers. Beautiful location, lake view. It's a real shame about the terrible service.

ACHTUNG MASKENPFLICHT ZUM SITZPLATZ UND ZUR TOILETTE!!! Tisch wird Ihnen zugewiesen. Kleine Speisekarte, aber alles frisch und kalt. Bedienung kann sicher freundlicher. Ausblick auf den Alpsee in Schwangau, TOLL!!! Gruppen können Tische und Stühle nach Absprache zusammengestellt werden. Toiletten drinnen, könnte sauberer sein. Kinderwagen, Rollatoren und Rollstühle im Außenbereich kein Problem, aber zur Toilette, nicht möglich, keinen Aufzug gesehen. Besuch zu empfehlen.

Leider ist Kartenzahlung erst ab 30€ möglich. Das ist in meinen Augen absolut historisch. Wir hatten freundlichen Service und diesen wunderbaren Blick über den See

Lange Wartezeiten bis eine Tischzuteilung erfolgte. Der Serviceleiter war dem jungen Servicepersonal gegenüber überheblich und hat seinen Unmut über Fehlverhalten laut kundgetan. Das geht meines Erachtens nach gar nicht - insbesondere ist dies unangenehm, wenn man es als Gast mitbekommt. Der Ausblick war schön, die Aufnahme der Bestellung sowie das Servieren der Getränke hat recht lange gedauert.

Vielleicht ist die Bedienung gestresst und der, wie mir scheint, Servicechef der Obergestresste und -stresser und auch die Preise sind sicherlich nicht ohne, dennoch lohnt es sich einfach für den See- und Bergblick und das Treiben Drumherum zu beobachten. Und geschmeckt hat es auch sehr gut. Ist halt eine absolute Touristenlocation, wie man sie in jedem Land/Ort auf dieser Welt finden kann.

Wir waren heute am 30.08. zum Kaffee in dem Lokal und bekamen einen schönen Tisch vom guten Service zugeteilt. Es war uns klar, dass das kein billiges Lokal ist. Grenzwertig ist die, geschmacklich gute Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte für 4,80 Euro, weil Sie nur halb so groß ist wie ein Konditorenstück und der Vergleichspreis mit 9,60 Euro unverhältnismäßig ist. Unverschämt ist der Preis für das Kännchen Tee mit 7,50 Euro in dem nur eine Tasse Tee enthalten ist. Alles in Allem also eher nicht zu empfehlen .

Erst sehr lange Wartezeit, bis einem ein Platz zugewiesen wird, dann äußerst unfreundliche Bedienung. Die Online-Karte hat leider nicht gestimmt - wir hätten gerne das vegane Risotto probiert, es gab jedoch nur Flammkuchen. Zwei Getränke 0,3L für 9€, Kartenzahlung erst ab 30€ - trotz Corona. Aussicht top, ansonsten Flop.

Die Lage ist sehr schön direkt am See, etwas anderes Positives konnten wir nicht berichten. Obwohl draußen auf der Terrasse nicht übermäßig viel los war, mussten wir lange auf Beachtung des Kellners warten, der uns dann ruppig an einen Tisch verwies. Er wirkte dauergestresst und etwas durcheinander, klopfte trotzdem Sprüche und die Maske war auch nur ein Kinnschutz. Preislich dazu noch fast unverschämt (über 4 Euro pro Getränk). Als wir dort waren, galt die Online-Speisekarte nicht, es gab nur Kuchen, Eis und Flammkuchen.

Bonito por la ubicación pero la carta pésima! 8€ por un botellin de agua de 750 ml y sólo se podía comer 2 tipos de Flammenkuchen! No había nada más en la carta!!! Lo único positivo, la amabilidad del camarero.

Es ist schon seltsam das auf der Karte ein Almdudler als 0.4l Getränk für 3,80€ ausgezeichnet ist. Geliefert wird ein Getränk 0,35l zum Preis von 4,50€. Man fühlt sich über’s Ohr gehauen! Werde sicher nicht wieder kommen. Aber ich denke es gehen ja genug Touristen ein und aus das der Laden das verkraftet.

Ich kann mich den meisten hier nur anschließen. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis steht leider in keinem Verhältnis. Einen Salat für 15 Euro (ohne Brot) mit einer Größe eines Vorspeisensalats z.B beim Griechen ist einfach zu krass, auch wenn er geschmacklich sehr gut war. Die Kellner gaben sich sehr viel Mühe und alles ging sehr schnell. Zwei Sterne mehr gibt es wenn die Portionen den Preisen angepasst sind.

Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis unverschämt! Die Portionen waren winzig und überteuert. Wir haben Salat als Hauptgang für knapp 16 € bestellt und bekamen eine wenig kreativ angerichtete, äußerst überschaubare „Blättersammlung“. Nur wegen des schönen Platzes auf der Terrasse mit Blick auf den See gibt es noch zwei Sterne.

We visited the Café, with its magnificent view, the second weekend it was open. Sure it was a little bit crowded and the stuff was super busy but very friendly as well! We had a great pasta dish and the burger was also very delicious.

Waren letzte woche da, die lage und die terrasse waren sehr toll. Die qualität des essens war auch sehr gut, für den preis waren die mengen jedoch sehr gering. Nach beanstandung zu hoher getränkepreise (almdudler wurde fast doppelt so teuer abgerechnet wie auf der karte angegeben...die bedienung meinte, die preise in der speisekarte seien falsch...!) wurden wir sehr unprofessionell behandelt und die rechnung sehr widerwillig geändert. Kommunikation und gästeumgang in unserem fall mangelhaft, schade darum!

다행히 뷰 좋은곳에 앉아서 좋았는데 벌이 자꾸 와서 밥을 먹는건지 벌을 쫒는건지 모르게 먹었습니다ㅠㅠㅠ 진짜 체할뻔했어요. 호수 바로 앞에있는 식당이라 사람이 많아서 대기해야됐고 음식은 그냥 그랬어요. 막 맛있지도 그렇다고 못먹을정도로 맛없지도 않았어요. 그치만 벌때문에 좋은기억으로 남진 않은 식당이예요ㅜㅜ

Neutrale 3-Sterne Bewertung, da wir nicht gegessen haben ----------------- Vorsicht, die Öffnungszeiten stimmen nicht. Hier steht es wäre bis 20 Uhr geöffnet, allerdings waren wir innerhalb der Woche um 18 Uhr da und es war bereits geschlossen... Als ich den Besitzer dazu fragte, der zufällig draußen stand und mich zunächst gekonnt ignorierte, bekam ich nur unfreundliche antworten nach dem Motto: ,,Keine Ahnung wo die Leute im Internet solche Informationen finden''. Ich wies ihn dann auf den falschen Eintrag bei Google hin, worauf er behauptete die Öffnungszeiten würde Google dort eintragen und die wären nicht zu ändern (so ein Quatsch). Anscheinend ist dem Herrn nicht bewusst, dass das Internet, und vor allem Einträge bei Google zu seinem Restaurant, heutzutage eine große Rolle spielen.. Vermutlich ist man sich auch nicht der negativen Bewertungen bewusst.

I was prepared to dislike this place when I looked at the prices and saw how staff were hustling tourists to every available space. But if you don't mind a little bit of a rush and the markup associated with a tourist magnet like Neuschwanstein Castle, this is a good place for a Strudel or even a full meal. Portions are fine, the food itself is surprisingly good, staff are efficient and the view onto the Alpsee lake is stunning. There are kids options not mentioned on the menu (e.g. Schnitzel), so if you're traveling with children just ask the staff.

The waiter wasn't exactly friendly and wouldn't give us the WLAN password.

Service sehr Freundlich und Fix! Speisen ein Gedicht und Aussicht traumhaft. Preise für Touristenregion normal.

Vorweg, das essen war soweit ok. Der Alpseeburger war lecker. Die Pfifferlingsuppe und der Flammkuchen meiner besseren Hälfte auch soweit. Bis darauf das der Feldsalat der als Beilage auf dem Flammkuchenteller lag nicht angemacht war. Essen alleine 4 Sterne. Nun kommt der Service ins Spiel. Der war leider einfach schlecht. Meine Frau bestellte als Vorspeise eine Suppe, als Hauptgang den Flammkuchen. Beides kam gleichzeitig. Ist schade bei warmen Speisen da zwangsläufig eine Kalt wird. Als wir am Ende die Servicekraft drauf aufmerksam machten das eben beides gleichzeitig kam und am Beilagensalat kein Dressing war wurden wir sehr unfreundlich abgespeißt. Kein Wort der Entschuldigung. Sogar nen Patziges "sind sie ja selber Schuld wenn sie nicht eins zurück gehen lassen" Solches Personal ist untragbar! Ein normales Lokal in einer nicht Turi region könnte mit solechem Service schnell den Laden schließen. Sehr schade! Denn die Location/lage ist schön und die Küche bekommt es ja auch soweit gut hin. Fazit: Essen gut. Location gut. Preis für Turitregion normal. Service Note 5-6
