Horrible experience, very bland food and it is so so so expensive. We even found dust on the plates and small hair as well in the food. Not hygienic at all. My wife got sick next day and she kept throwing up all day. When we told about the hair, I guess he just removed the hair and bought back the food.

The waiter was rude, shameless, foul-mouthed, and unpleasant. It's a shame that such an iconic place has such deplorable service. It's better to eat at a kebab shop and avoid the comments of a waiter who should simply be at home, not serving customers who come to experience a city as important as Berlin.

We had to wait a very long time before our order was taken, even though the restaurant was almost empty. The food was quite tasteless. We paid by card but still wanted to leave a tip for the waiter. After paying, however, the waiter made a comment about us not leaving a tip and about us not liking his service. It was awful, and we’ve never experienced anything like that before.

There were three of us, and we were all disappointed. The food wasn't worth the money. A Wiener Schnitzel for €30, and you get a mountain of soggy fries and salad, plus a schnitzel smaller than my hand. My mother's salad was okay (but nothing special), and the portion was exactly the same as the one on my plate. The Leberkäse (Bavarian meatloaf) also came on top of a huge salad. It looked like they were trying to compensate for missing ingredients with salad. It's also worth noting that the menu stated you couldn't replace side dishes, only add to them. This severely limited the choices for my gluten-intolerant mother. The waiter was very friendly.

I was at this restaurant today and was unfortunately very disappointed with the service. I wanted to order a hot chocolate, which the menu said would cost €4.90. When I asked if it would be cheaper without cream, I was told, yes—it would be. When the waiter came to take the cash, he demanded €4.90. The waiter suddenly became unfriendly and said in a rude tone, "Do you want to buy it now or not?" His behavior was subsequently disrespectful and inappropriate toward a customer. As a result, I refused to order the hot chocolate. This kind of treatment of customers is absolutely unacceptable—I felt truly uncomfortable. It's a shame, because I was actually looking forward to a pleasant visit. Visit: October 19th / 5:45 p.m.

Very tasty food and generous portions with homemade lemonade. Absolutely delicious and highly recommended. The service staff was friendly, courteous, and attentive. Pictures speak louder than words, so here are a few more. So everyone can see for themselves.

One of the best restaurants I’ve been to! The schnitzel is super delicious, served with fresh salad and fries. The outdoor area is wonderful and so pleasant on a sunny day, especially with the beautiful view of the Spree River. The staff were very kind and friendly, which made the experience even better. The location is perfect — right next to the river. Highly recommended! 🌞🍽️

The prices are completely inflated, and the cocktails are a disgrace! Water with a little rum and a few mint leaves is no cocktail.

Never been treated so unfriendly before! Today there were five of us (with a child) and we waited at first, thinking that a waiter could assign us a seat. Nothing happened for a few minutes, so we chose a table for four that wasn't reserved and just wanted to take a chair from the small table behind us (for two people). The owner came over, said that he needed the table and looked and seemed very unfriendly. We then said that we only needed one more chair and asked if he needed both chairs. His answer was: Yes, what am I supposed to do with the table!! He wanted to move us, saying that we have a child and can sit in the shade. When we said that we would like to sit in the sun and that the table wasn't reserved or otherwise occupied, he rolled his eyes and became even more unfriendly and said that he couldn't change that. We left the place! I had the strong feeling that he was simply discriminatory! But reading these reviews made me realize it was a good thing we didn't spend a cent there. P.S.: On our return, we saw that the table he supposedly needed so much wasn't actually being used! I wouldn't advise anyone to go to this restaurant...

Very rude. The place was half empty, and yet they told us where to sit in a very rude manner. When we asked if it was reserved, they rolled their eyes and said, "No, but still." DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED.

Absolutely disrespectful and discriminated against! I simply wanted to enter this restaurant briefly to politely ask at the bar for a restroom. I had just come from a wedding, so I was neatly dressed, and had barely stepped out of the doorway when a man (presumably the manager) immediately addressed me in a harsh tone, asking where my table was. Completely irritated, I explained several times that I didn't have a table and just needed to go to the restroom. Instead of listening, he pretended he didn't understand me, constantly repeating "What?" and forcing me to repeat the same sentence over and over again. Only when I finally used the word "toilet" did he suddenly "understand" me – only to then condescendingly correct me, saying "that's the correct German word" and implying that I had just wanted to walk in without asking. But "Klo" is a perfectly normal, colloquial word. The fact that he harped on about it unnecessarily seemed as if he was deliberately trying to embarrass me. I found his behavior extremely disrespectful, condescending, and completely inappropriate. I felt personally discriminated against and unwelcome. This experience clearly showed me that hospitality apparently doesn't play a role here – the restaurant struck me as rude and unfriendly, and I can't recommend it to anyone.

Overpriced basic food, felt like I was eating from Aldi. Location makes the prices 3x more what it should be. Can't recommend.

We were there on our last day (Sunday, August 25th) with 4 adults and 2 children, around 6:45 p.m. It was relatively empty inside (it's full at lunch/afternoon). We asked about a reservation, but the waitress said no, they didn't need one. Inside, it was nicely decorated with benches and tables. The waiters were nice and friendly, and the food and drinks were served quickly. The menu was small, so I felt like it was missing the finishing touch. We ordered two Leberkäse (meatloaf), one currywurst with fries, two children's plates with fries, and one schnitzel with cucumber and potato salad. Everything came quickly. To be very honest, I have to say the Leberkäse (meatloaf), the bread, and the salad were all delicious. You can't go wrong with the egg, but instead of so much salad (I had to hunt for the bread, but it was delicious when I found it), a few fried potatoes would have been even better. If I remember correctly, you could have fried potatoes with it, but you have to pay extra for that. A little tip: less salad and fried potatoes instead. It was really delicious, and everyone was nice. I thought the portion size of the currywurst with fries was a bit small, I think, for €16, but it was also delicious. Then we had dessert. I think we were the last guests there. For dessert, we had two Kaiserschmarren (sweet pancakes), one apple strudel, and two coffees. The Kaiserschmarren could have passed for a main course, but the apple strudel was also delicious (and that from a trained baker). The portion sizes of the currywurst and the Kaiserschmarren were quite different. Nevertheless, it was a lovely evening (as I was visiting my school friend after a very long time). We'll definitely go there again on our next visit to Berlin.

Three others arrived, me and I. We went in and the waiter said hello. The three people said hello, while I, seeing as he'd spoken in German, pointed out that we were tourists, saying, "Sorry, we're tourists." Then he started making a huge scene, even though I said hello afterwards. I didn't say anything, and we sat down. We ordered, and finally I thanked him, without any hard feelings. Obviously, he didn't think I was a bad guy, and he'd do the same throughout the entire experience. The food was decent, but obviously in Germany they're used to different flavors. He even made fun of one of the people accompanying me for his broken English, in a way that was both arrogant and rude. The worst part was that, when we finally had to pay, he acted all sycophantic and polite, pathetic. It goes without saying that I won't be back, and I absolutely don't recommend it, because while it's true that we're Italian tourists, that doesn't give you permission to behave like that.

Very good Berliner Kindl beer, great place and prices affordable for every budget, and German beer is as good as a Polish woman

Nice location, but sells the Alpen or Bayern experience without the actual customs or proportions that go with it. The taste of the food is ok but overpriced for the actual quality. For the Alp experience go to Bavaria.

The manager is rude. We asked for water and the manager said go home. How cold! This person deserves to not have a job let alone be a manager of a place. Stuffed with rudeness.

A huge thank you to Mario – our waiter was simply amazing! From the very beginning, he was super warm and attentive. You could immediately tell that he's passionate about his job. Thanks to him, we not only had great service, but also a really good mood throughout the entire evening. The food was also excellent – fresh, creative, and prepared with lots of love. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and inviting, perfect for a lovely evening for two or with friends. We'll definitely be back – especially because of Mario!

We chose this place as we were in the locale and needed a sit down and something to eat. The food on peoples plates looked fine. Nice location. No issues with service. But Food was a bit rubbish. We all had schnitzel and it was overcooked with no flavour.

Lunch. It's an Italian restaurant with no Italians or similar. The food is decent, although at the level of a takeout pizzeria. The service is decent, nothing more. When paying by card, they provide a small machine to charge a tip (minimum 10%), which, in reality, they haven't earned. This makes the price at least 10% more expensive than indicated on the menu.

I visited this restaurant on a BPA trip. The food served included a mini chicken schnitzel with fries. The salad that came with it was topped with a dollop of dressing. The schnitzel itself was extremely thin and stretched out with a crunchy marinade. The fries were hard. The service itself left a lot to be desired. The friendliness of the staff was unbearable. Not all guests were asked for drinks. Dessert included a dry ready-made cake, ready-made ice cream, and a carelessly thrown-on strawberry in vanilla sauce.

The fries were so hard you could cut glass and the sauce was contaminated with MSG. The best thing about the meal was the mayonnaise.

Waited over 50 minutes for our food before they came over to ask if we had ordered ??? we then had to wait another 10 minutes for food to come out after being assured it would be out immediately, we would have just left if we knew how long it would have taken. Food was good but not at all worth the wait. They were not very busy either so not much of an excuse for it taking so long. As we got the bill they had the audacity to ask for a tip. Could not recommend going here less.

I'm totally disappointed. The chicken schnitzel consisted of more breading than meat. The dalat had a tiny dab of dressing on it, which wasn't enough for the salad underneath. The mushroom sauce tasted like instant soup, and dessert consisted of crystallized vanilla ice cream and a ready-made marble cake and vanilla sauce (most likely) from a tetra pack. Regarding the friendliness of the staff, I can only say that we didn't feel welcome.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my visit. I ordered cheese spaetzle with salad, but received a plate on which the salad made up about two-thirds and the cheese spaetzle only one-third – I finished it in five bites. Since I was still hungry afterward, I politely asked for a second helping. Unfortunately, neither the waiter nor the manager offered me one. Instead, I was suggested to order dessert, and they would have given me an espresso as a courtesy – nicely meant, but nothing that would have satisfied my hunger. I think that with a dish like "cheese spaetzle with salad," the focus should clearly be on the cheese spaetzle and not the other way around. I'm a normal-sized, slim woman (1.70 m) and it didn't fill me up – so I wonder how that would work for taller people. It's a shame that no accommodating solution was found here. Everything tasted good, but the value for money and the way they handled feedback unfortunately didn't convince me.

A true Alpine cuisine experience in the heart of Berlin! We had a wonderful visit to the Alois Moser Alpine Kitchen. The staff was friendly and attentive – you feel welcome and well served. The food was delicious: The salad was fresh, the schnitzel with fries in mushroom sauce was hearty, and to finish, cake and ice cream for dessert, all homemade and prepared with love. The view of the Spree was particularly beautiful. The cozy atmosphere made it a truly home-from-home experience.

The food is good for a touristy area, it’s worth the price you’re paying. I understand the slower service, but these guys are busting ass. I think adding more staff would be nice to cut down the wait time and another bartender to make drinks, but my waiter was polite. You do need to wave someone over. Lots of seating inside and out. Another restaurant denied me sitting inside, so I came here and it worked out.

19:50 we were told that the kitchen closes in 10 min. so we ordered drinks, food and desserts at the same time. Within 15 min everything was on our table. Normally that is good - but serving hot food and a hot dessert at the same time at very high prices is not normal standard. The waiter should have told us that they can’t serve dessert, because the kitchen will close.

We have been coming to Germany for years and this is the first time we have had really bad food. Here you get a currywurst that is actually a frikandel and a tasteless lentil soup that could not be revived even with some extra salt and pepper. Just a thick tasteless substance. Then a small potato and cucumber salad. Potato salad was definitely not home made and the cucumber salad is the most tasteless we have ever eaten. Advice: don't eat here!! And then also dare to ask for a tip.......

Nice service, nice decor, you can attest to that. Unfortunately, everything else was a total failure. Price-performance doesn't fit, small fried schnitzels and lame fries - the price was too high for that. Far away from good Alpine cuisine. Unfortunately that was nothing.

I haven't eaten this badly in a long time... The mini schnitzel was completely over-fried and so dry that you could only swallow it with a drink. The fries weren't very crispy. Visually, you could tell it was a mushroom sauce, but it tasted anything but mushroom sauce. The sauce was burnt and tasted of inedible cheese. The small side salad was the best, though, although it was made with cheap salad dressing from a discount store. Dessert was bone-dry kursch and poppy seed slices with a mini scoop of pink ice cream. You couldn't tell whether it was raspberry or strawberry ice cream. The draft beer was good. In summary: The ingredients were of no quality, the food was completely overpriced. Even the great location doesn't help, because after the meal, you can't enjoy anything anymore because your stomach is working hard and you're guaranteed to feel sick. I had to leave half of the mini portion back because it was inedible. WHAT A PITY!!!

We (family with children) were thrilled during our visit. Of course the prices are adjusted to the fantastic surroundings, but everyone should be aware of that if they go out to eat with a view of the cathedral on the Spree :)

Unfortunately we had to wait 25 minutes for our order to be taken and there was no carbonation in the cola at all. The service staff seemed very disorganized even though it wasn't overly full and couldn't operate the EC device at all. Unfortunately I can't recommend it.

The beer is bad, carbonated and sour. The coffee tasted like it came from the worst machine. The cake is ok. The potato soup is ok. Terrible service. We waited 15 minutes for someone to come and then a long wait. Overall, I don't recommend it.

They charged me 4 euros for a glass of tap water and 8 euros for two small Coca-Colas. I complained and they told me that it was the policy of the company and the manager, this is theft.

I was very happy with my visit to this cafe. The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff was polite and very nice and prices are fair.

It was already clear to us that you can't expect much in tourist bars close to sights. But we had to rest a bit, so we went inside. We were greeted and served in a very friendly and helpful manner. The coffee was good, the apple strudel was a tiny, narrow slice that could hardly stand upright. All of this at the capital city price, of course.

Very, very intrusive reception from the owner himself. Before we were allowed to sit down, we were pressured to walk past the cake counter. Unfortunately, drinks are not recommended at all. We had cocoa and homemade mulled wine - really underground. Kaiserschmarren also looked very indefinable and tasted like ready-made dough. The waitress (blonde) was the only nice thing here.

I can only agree with the other bad reviews. We ended up here with three kids and asked for a table in the corner (because of the kids). The answer was no, we should sit in the middle of the room, after all you have to have your children under control. Price/performance (or size) of the drinks are a joke, the latte macchiato came in a small water glass. I haven't experienced such bad service in a long time. Fortunately, there are plenty of alternatives in Berlin.

Incredibly bad-tempered service. Service extremely bad. We sent the food back because it was a) cold and b) old. The waitress wasn't interested. No soap or towels in the toilet, no one was interested in that either when complaining. This store is absolutely NOT recommended!!!!
