Very very very good place Food 10 out of 10 Atmosphere 10 out of 10 Service (depends on who serves you) but also quite good.

Perfect as a birthday breakfast for your husband! We got a table spontaneously, even without a reservation, on Saturday morning. SUPER. All the waitresses were super friendly and child-friendly.

The employees were rather unfriendly and everything took a long time.

Delicious food, nice service. A bit overwhelmed, which is why my food and drink arrived much later than everything else (and only after asking). But not so tragic. I would give it a 4.5 if it existed.

The restaurant itself exudes a cozy and quaint atmosphere, and remained bustling throughout my visit. While I personally wasn't particularly fond of the dish I ordered, I sampled other menu items and found them to be quite delicious. Overall, I enjoyed my dining experience at Alex. I would definitely recommend it and plan to return to try other dishes. The restaurant's consistent popularity and thoughtful touches, like the English menu, make it a worthwhile destination.

The employee who served us clearly didn't have much interest in being there. Short and unfriendly answers. We waited almost half an hour for our drinks. The food was okay.

Great breakfast buffet with a wide selection of products. Something for every taste. Good selection of coffee drinks and tea. Nicely decorated restaurant with friendly staff. The price-performance ratio at the buffet is very good.

We had a burger with fries, the food tasted good, fresh ingredients, the service was very nice and attentive. What doesn't work at all are the women's toilets, they should be checked much more often

The food tastes good, but there are some dishes for which I find the description and price really inappropriate. For example, fish and chips are just sweet potatoes with a few pieces of fish. It was more like a snack bar. Service is good and always tried hard.

The food tasted good but 18 euros for the schnitzel is a bit too expensive.

Everything was great the night we had dinner in Alex. Next morning I realized that I forgot to take the receipt. I called and spoke to a lovely lady named Snezana. She promptly located my receipt and emailed it to me. I am grateful beyond words! Also, I'm vegetarian, and I had no problem with the selection at Alex. Lots of options. Our waiter, Fabio, did a wonderful job, and was super friendly. My German is still in a developing stage, so I did appreciate that everyone in Alex was able to help me out in a very good English. There is also menu in English.

Delicious food with an idyllic ambience in the heart of Wiesbaden. We had reserved a table for Christmas and were warmly welcomed. Even though it was pretty busy, it wasn't noisy. On the contrary: the atmosphere literally invited you to have nice conversations. The amount of green in particular (partly real, partly plastic) has a calming effect on the soul. The food came quickly and was delicious.

Mein Mann und ich waren zur SILVESTER-Feier dort. Im grossen und ganzen super. Essen bzw. Buffett war toll, Service gut und freundlich, DJ und Musik war klasse, nur manchmal zu laut. Wenn man direkt neben dem Lautsprecher tanzen muss platzmässig, dann klingeln schon manchmal die Ohren. Das einzige was ich nicht gut fand, war dass die Crew oder der DJ kurz vor 0:00 Uhr keinen Countdown oder keine Uhr zum abzählen gezeigt haben. Ausserdem sassen oder lagen ein Assi-Paar im Raucherzelt, wobei die "Dame" dem Partner einen Blowjob gab, vor allen Leuten und die Crew lachte nur, statt die beiden zu ermahnen o.ä. Fand ich eklig und schäbig, bzw. billig. Ansonsten hatten wir viel Spass und würden das wiederholen.

Quite suitable for larger groups. The food is just average, seems a bit bland or rather system catering. Service that evening was rather poor, at least when it came to drinks.

The breakfast buffet is ok. Well, eggs out of the bag and the fruit wasn't fresh either. But the worst... Cockroaches in the bathroom!!!!! They are aware of the vermin infestation! Well then…. Bon appetit!

Everything is great but also very expensive

Went for brunch on Sundays, very rich, varied bread About cereal and cold cuts, there were also warm dishes, special requests such as children's brunch for my wife would be taken into account. Everything was a successful start to the Sunday, keep it up

We were there on the last day of our relationship - after 6 years. Unfortunately a difficult day for us, but we're starting over now and want to meet there - ALEX - for the first time! The waitresses were/are super friendly and competent. They gave us good advice on the wine selection. The atmosphere was very friendly and pleasant 👍

Quite ok. The biggest disadvantage is that it is difficult to find the store using Google maps because the entrance is somewhere else. It took a lot of nerve. Also no good parking options

We recently spent an evening in this cafe and were surprised with a very special kind of service. When our sparkling wine was served, we discovered an unexpected ingredient - salt deposits on the glass. Admittedly, this was new for us. But when the extremely attentive waitress began to listen to our conversation at the table, it quickly became clear: This is not about simple sloppiness in the dishwasher, but about something much bigger! Apparently the waitress was so attentive that she attributed a guest's mild mental confusion to an electrolyte deficiency. Wisely, she decided to refine the sparkling wine with an extra portion of salt to bring the electrolyte balance back into balance. It's rare to have so much care! I am sure that my friend went home with an unforgettable evening and an optimal salt balance. There are a full five stars for this creative approach.

Somehow the usual quality has changed. Citizen Paddy was cruel. With a lot of benevolence, the steak was just “medium” (where else is it called well done). However, the service was super friendly.

Absolute favorite location, I'm actually there every two days. The staff is very friendly and takes your wishes into account when eating/drinking. As a side tip, always coconut kiss without the berries, they just block the straw

Went back today for the first time in a long time and it quickly became clear: it will be a long time before we come back! Opened the door, ran in and said “hello” to a waitress. She looks at us, doesn't say a word and leaves. A waiter came to order and didn't say a word either. Our “thank you” when the food was brought was answered with nothing like “please” or anything like that. It was like being in a silent film. In total we had contact with three people; only the lady who brought our drinks and collected our money was able to interact normally. You would also have to explain to one or two employees that you shouldn't constantly run your hands through your hair in a job like this. Our food was from the weekly menu. Once lukewarm noodles, which would have been very tasty warm. Once a tiny soup that would probably be served as a starter somewhere else. There was also a 0.5 liter cola each, which cost 6 EUR each - 1 EUR more than a similar large Heineken. Strange pricing. All in all, it's a subterranean overall package that I should actually rate even worse.

Desserts and drinks are the only things that I have purchased from "Alex," so this is just to preface my review that it doesn't cover the majority of the meals. While it's only a select few items I've tried, I have gone there countless times, and every time was excellent. I'd usually come here right after dinner from another restaurant. I was told by a server that I could sit wherever I wanted, and I usually went upstairs where there was less people and more intimate. The servers spoke fluent English, and were attentive to my table. I tried a variety of their alcoholic drinks, with my favorite being the "Swimming Pool." As for dessert, I loved their churros, strawberry cheesecake, and red velvet cake. Sometimes the cake tasted a bit too grainy and old, which is likely from it sitting in a glass cabinet on display. This has happened enough times that it was a pattern, and dampened my experience a little bit. The drinks on the other hand? Always perfect. If I wasn't in the U.S now, I'd still be visiting, "Alex" to end my evening on a high note.

Si bien solo he probado algunos artículos selectos, he ido allí innumerables veces, y cada vez fue excelente. Normalmente venía aquí justo después de cenar en otro restaurante. Un servidor me dijo que podía sentarme donde quisiera, y por lo general subía donde había menos gente y más íntimo. Los servidores hablaban inglés con fluidez, y estaban atentos a mi mesa. Probé una variedad de sus bebidas alcohólicas, siendo mi favorita la "Piscina. " En cuanto al postre, me encantaron sus churros, tarta de queso de fresa y tarta de terciopelo rojo. A veces el pastel sabía demasiado granulado y viejo, lo que es probable que se sienta en un gabinete de vidrio en exhibición. Esto ha pasado bastantes veces que fue un patrón, y amortiguado un poco mi experiencia. ¿Las bebidas, por otro lado? Siempre perfecto. Si no estuviera en los EE.UU. ahora, todavía estaría visitando, "Alex" para terminar mi velada con una nota alta.

The food at Alex is always super good. And even if it's full, you can get a seat promptly. Sometimes it's a bit too loud to have a conversation... but all in all it's always good in Alex.

Great breakfast buffet with a large, delicious selection. Hot dishes: fried eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes. Cold dishes: bread, rolls, pretzels, coffee pieces, croissants, sausage, cheese, jams, salads, anti pasti, yoghurt, pudding, rice pudding with cherries. Everything was very tasty! The waitresses could be a little more attentive to orders and clearing away. But all in all a great restaurant with a top breakfast for €15.30 I would come again!

Unfortunately, that wasn't an achievement. The schnitzel was simply system gastro. Dry and probably an industrial schnitzel, and the food was quite over-seasoned. I don't have to have that again. Unfortunately, no one at the service was really interested... I find it hard to believe that it will be better next time. Thanks no. Price performance was definitely not right here (with four meals, and all of them were like that).

The food is great, although when the restaurant was empty we waited 15 minutes for a waiter, but the wasps that chased us the whole time are terrible, my friend has allergies and we had to constantly drive the wasps away, we just wanted to have a quiet time, but were forced to finish our meal quickly and just leave the place. The restaurant owner needs to find a solution to this situation because it is really impossible to sit on the terrace. Our mood was spoiled and unfortunately we couldn't spend any quiet time together

Breakfast buffet was quite okay

For 16€ there was a burger and not even fries. The price level here has shot to Olympic heights, but with what justification? Sure, the food is solid, but the prices keep rising, and currently to levels that are unjustified in my opinion. 6€ for 0.5 liters of cola? Please what?! There are a lot of wasps around, but the staff and management don't care about that either. For such prices, at least do something about uninvited guests in black and yellow? None. Haven't been here for a long time and it will be the last time for a long time.

Had specially reserved a table. When we arrived, the gentleman at reception was completely overwhelmed and couldn't offer us a table inside. He then stammered something to himself. Bad service, I can't say anything more about it. We then left straight away. So I can't say much about the food and ambience. We will avoid the Alex in Wiesbaden in the future.

So far everything is good, only the fish and chips dish should be renamed to breading and chips, no trace of the fish to be seen and very greasy fries, good, not recommended

It was introduced to me as "WoW-von-Wiesbaden" ;) The ambience inside is typical bistro-café. You can sit outside on the terrace in summer. The very young waitress seemed rather clumsy to me, but hardworking 😊 The food - my choice was vegan (falafel, couscous salad) was very tasty and of high quality. There was also passion fruit spritzer - love it, but can't find it everywhere! All in all nice, young and safe choice for going out. Thanks to the team.

Incredible staff, we went here for dinner and drinks with friends and family on Saturday. The dirty table that we were assigned where you assigned us the words. “We are a larger group.” After that, the waitress didn't show up for the next 15 minutes until someone else took our order. Food arrived late, but was OK. Service was still not noticeable until after a shift change, a somewhat motivated employee was assigned to our table, who then crawled with the other staff and shared the kitchen at the bar, just for fun, but it smelled loudly but for the entire restaurant and bickered. Attention. Service here is nothing. The cleanliness of the table and the run-down atmosphere also leave something to be desired. Definitely our last visit here.

As a tourist, I enjoy coming here for simple eating. They have a great selection and the food is good. It’s not amazing, but for the price you pay, I think it is exceptional. I personally haven’t had any specialty drinks, but I always see other people drinking them, so it must be good. The staff is always friendly and accommodating for my English.

The Alex is a good place to eat. The food is always delicious and the service is attentive. The cocktails could be better, but that's my subjective opinion!

Delicious food, a large selection of different creations, refreshing drinks and a nice atmosphere to linger. We really liked it here, but deducted a star because the music turns up at a certain time and it's hard to have a conversation without shouting at each other. One of the few restaurants in Wiesbaden that is wheelchair accessible, which is why we came here with my cousin. The toilets are on the first floor, but unfortunately the disabled toilets are difficult to access, with a key across the courtyard. Not great for wheelchair users in winter. Nevertheless, my cousin liked coming here and so did we.

I always enjoy coming to Alex. However, the card readers urgently need to be replaced. I've lost a lot of life just because I had to wait for the card reader to finally accept my bill amount.

I love having breakfast here. The buffet offers everything you could want for a hearty breakfast. From sweet to salty and various types of bread and rolls as well as pretzels and croissants, everything is there. The lemonade and iced tea are also sooooo delicious. You have great seating outside and inside to fully enjoy yourself.

The fish and chips served here are a miserable 4 fish nuggets and a plate full of chips. Take this off your menu or make it better… Don’t rob people… We all the way from South Africa and to eat a kiddies meal at an Adult price… awfully terrible… as a previous waitress this is shameful!!!

Breakfast buffet on Sunday is simply great, great rolls and bread selection. Sausage and cheese are also good, there are plenty of warm dishes and there is also enough cereal and fruit. We will be back. 🙋👍

The buffet is always great. The price-performance diagram clearly points upwards. People like to come here, eat their way through the buffet and enjoy a delicious pot of coffee. This is the perfect way to start the day!

You got to eat with your eyes, too. So, it was not disappointing with the optical. Some started we didn't like. It was too sweet from flavour. Otherwise, salads were good 👍 and the services and drinks.

However, I find the prices too expensive for the portion size. Almost 50€ for 2 people. And we only had a main course and 1 drink each. The sanitary facilities were fine.

We had a lovely brunch there on the weekend. It has a great buffet with all you can think of -- you are just putting everything on your plate and paying later. Buffet includes a glass of orange juice. There were a lot of families with kids, service is fast and everyone is super friendly!

It’s a nice place with terrace right in mitte. A nice garden and good service. The menu was ok a mix of middle eastern, Asian, Mitteleurope, pizza so you’ ll find for sure something u like!

First time here, with two friends, had schnitzel for dinner and some local beer. The food is really good, and portions are big! Prices are normal and acceptable. Service was very good too, they all spoke English. We didn’t have to wait long even though the place was fairly full. Highly recommended

Always worth a visit. Was there for the breakfast buffet and the price-performance ratio was really great and I was always very satisfied. Service is great and the waiting time is always quite short, even when there is a lot going on.

After the Kranzplatzfest we tried to have a quiet ending, but unfortunately the service remained completely under-supplied.
