Super leckerer Mexikaner und die netteste Bedienung

Top Restaurant,alleine schon das Ambiente einfach toll,mexikanisches essen in einem mexikanischem Restaurant was mit dem aztekische n Wandmalereien sehr gut ins Land eintauchen lässt. Das Essen sehr einfallsreich,nicht einfach billig serviert sondern toll anzusehen und man schmeckt die frische und gute Zubereitung,wird wohl teilweise selber gemacht,ich hatte Hähnchen in Teigtaschen,wirklich lecker und der Teig einfach Super. Der Abend war Super ich komme wieder. Achja,über den Preis kann man unterschiedlicher Auffassung sein,aber wenn etwas so gut und lecker ist bezahle ich das gerne.👍

Der Laden war nie preiswert, aber gut. Gut ist er nicht mehr aber überteuert. Diesmal gab es für EUR 19,00 lauwarme, labberige geschmacksneutrale Nachos con Pollo auf einem HOLZBRETT, wohl vorbereitet und dann in der Mikrowelle aufgewärmt. "Pollo" soll laut Karte gezupftes Hühnerfilet sein. Die Optik entsprach dunklem Hühnerhackfleisch, überdeckt von geschmacksneutralem Analogkäse. Die Salsa Roja dazu schmeckte schlicht wie Ketchup, die Guacamole war Avocadomus. Das Bier zum runterspülen hat geschmeckt, kann man aber für EUR 5,80 auch erwarten. Der bisherige Besitzer kannte sein Speisenangebot aus seiner Heimat und pflegte es. Betreiberwechsel verschlechtern die Qualität offenbar auch hier. Das war mein letzter Besuch in der einstigen "Insititution". Im Kino hatte ich schon mal schlechtere Nachos.

Super lecker und große Portionen. Die alkoholfreien Cocktails sind sehr lecker. Guter Service. Etwas teuer.

Das Personal war freundlich. Guacamole und Salsa stammten jedoch vermutlich aus der Dose. Angesichts der vorherigen Bewertungen hatte ich mehr erwartet.

Wir waren in einer Gruppe dort und mussten wiederholt auf uns aufmerksam machen. Es war den Angestellten wichtiger, sich untereinander zu unterhalten. Schade!

Vegane Burritos zum Mitnehmen bestellt und geholt. Erhalten haben wir riesige und schwere Teile mit zwei Soßen, die echt lecker waren und satt gemacht.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wie immer war es ein super Besuch im Alcatraz, leckeres Essen, tolles Ambiente und ein aufmerksames, herzliches Team! Leider gab es diesmal eine unschöne Situation: Eine Dame an einem anderen Tisch fühlte sich durch mein Telefonat gestört und hat sich auf unangemessene Weise darüber beschwert, obwohl das Personal absolut professionell und unbeteiligt war. Gerade weil solche Gäste das großartige Team mit negativen Bewertungen unter Druck setzen wollen, möchte ich hier ganz bewusst eine *positive Bewertung* dalassen, zur Unterstützung der Mitarbeiter, die jeden Tag ihr Bestes geben und immer freundlich bleiben, selbst wenn sie es nicht leicht haben. Danke an euch , bleibt genau so, wie ihr seid. Ihr macht einen super Job, und es ist jedes Mal ein Genuss, bei euch zu sein! ♥️

Ich gehe seit 20 Jahren hierher und wurde noch nie enttäuscht. Die Speisekarte ist zwar etwas kleiner, aber man kann sich darauf verlassen, dass alles hervorragend schmeckt. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es für das Ambiente, obwohl das Restaurant selbst nichts dafür kann: Der Gastraum hallt etwas und kann recht schnell laut werden. Sobald man aber das leckere Essen und die Getränke genießt, ist der Lärm schnell vergessen. Meine Empfehlung: Käse- und Pulled-Chicken-Nachos mit einer Frozen Strawberry Margarita!

Food was very delicious, good staff

The food was delicious. The service was very good, but unfortunately the restaurant is very dark and noisy when it's full. It's okay, but it's still missing that special finishing touch to earn 5 stars. We'll be back anyway.

We were on a city trip to Berlin and had dinner at Alcatraz one evening. The location, staff, and food are truly worth a visit. A wide selection of high-quality dishes are offered here, and when the weather is nice, you can sit outside in the beer garden and enjoy the surroundings. Thanks also for the great service; you're still welcome to be a guest here.

The restaurant itself is quite nice and the staff is also quite friendly, the food was good but didn't really blow me away but all in all it is worth a visit

Great place, good food. It's right at the intersection, but sitting inside doesn't really bother me. I recommend it.

Since our last visit, I have to correct my review: The service is not recommended. After we sat down (at the reserved table), the waitress came after 14 minutes to take our order. After another 15 minutes, we had our drinks (just juices and a beer!!!). After a total of 45 minutes, we had the appetizer! After a total of 1 hour and 20 minutes, the main courses arrived. By way of explanation, the waitress said that several more orders had come in after the appetizer. I counted 7 delivery drivers. So next time, sit down at the restaurant and order with Lieferando or Uber, they serve faster! As compensation, the waitress gave us two free desserts. We only wanted them, so it wouldn't take that long again... After consulting the kitchen, she said 9 minutes, so we accepted the offer! In total, we were there for over 2 hours just to eat. That's too much! Service is no longer good, unfortunately a bit slow... Top quality food, but quite expensive since the menu was redesigned in recent months. Furthermore, the selection has been significantly reduced: no more fish or shrimp dishes. That's a real shame! The bowls are also very expensive: €16 for a simple plate of rice with a side dish... The fajitas, still huge portions and super delicious!!!! It's definitely worth it with the get2card, as the cocktails are also excellent. Nice atmosphere, always busy, so be sure to make a reservation in the evening.

You can still get high-quality Mexican food here. The menu is a bit shorter, but the food is top-notch. Whether it's nachos or burritos, it's always delicious and top-quality. It's been my favorite Mexican restaurant for years.

I’ve been there twice and really enjoyed both times. First time I was walking by with my wife and we had a very yummy spontaneous dinner. Second time I decide to invite some friends and celebrate my birthday and honestly it was a great decision. The staff went above and beyond, they even put up some birthday decoration. The food was delicious, staff is nice, restaurant is spacious and comfortable. Would totally recommend!

Very likeable Mexican restaurant with solid cocktails, burgers and classics like tortillas, nachos, enchiladas etc. Plus point: There are also dishes for children who are not used to Central American cuisine. However, beyond the standards mentioned, the card's offerings are manageable. Anyone expecting something overly exotic or innovative will not find what they are looking for here. Very friendly service and moderate prices.

A great Mexican restaurant for decades. Great cuisine, attentive, friendly service and a great ambience with Atztec sculptures and pictures etc. First class all around.

Nice cantina with good and fresh dishes

Today we spontaneously visited this restaurant with two children. We were served wonderfully and quickly felt very comfortable. Unfortunately the food was too spicy for the children. The dishes were prepared again immediately without any problems, without any spiciness. I have great respect for such service. The quality of the food is also wonderful and very tasty. Only a clear recommendation can be made. Thanks for the great evening!

Fajitas de carne, very tasty! The meat came out sizzling on the cast iron skillet and just right. This, in the tortilla, with the various dips, was not easy to eat, but very tasty. The nachos con carne, gratinated with cheese, were also tasty. Everything else I tried also showed a picture of good, varied cuisine. I can recommend!

I've been going there for years and everything there tastes really delicious.

Average food, less than average service and even lesser atmosphere and top it all horrible smell at the terrace coming out of their bathroom. Overpriced food items for food u can make better at home.. Guacamole was ok but not worth the visit for it.

Mo. 13.05.2024, 19:00Uhr zum Abendessen im Restaurant Alcatraz, in Berlin am Bundesplatz, einer nicht gerade attraktiven Gegend für ein Restaurant. Schönes Wetter, demzufolge saßen zu der Zeit 6 Personen auf der sogenannten „Terrasse“, die jedoch lediglich ein abgegrenzter Bereich auf dem dort sehr breiten Fußweg ist, und das an einer viel befahrenen Ampelkreuzung! Weil es uns zu laut und zuwindig war, haben wir den Innenraum bevorzugt. Dort waren wir erst einmal die einzigen Gäste, die dann auch nicht einmal bemerkt, oder einfach ignoriert wurden....Nachdem wir uns bemerkbar gemacht haben, hat uns eine scheinbar mit 6 – 8 Gästen auf der „Terrasse“ etwas überforderte Bedienung nach 10 Min. die Speisekarte gebracht, sie war aber immer freundlich! Wir hatten inzwischen genug Zeit, um uns das Interieur anzusehen, welches recht einfach aber ordentlich ist und genügend Tische und Sitzplätze bietet. Der Blick in die Speise- und Getränkekarte (s. Internethomepage) ließ uns etwas den Atem stocken. Die Preise, besonders die Getränkepreise erschienen uns doch sehr „sportlich“, zumal wir in vergleichbaren bzw. besseren Restaurants anderes erfahren haben! Bestellt haben wir dann -Pulled Chicken Quesadilla zu 16€ und Pulled Beef Quesadilla, auch zu 16€.- Was wir bekommen haben war gelinde gesagt eine Enttäuschung! Es sollte sein: Weizentortilla gefüllt mit gezupftem Senf-Hähnchenbrustfillet bzw. gezupftes Barbacoa-Beef, Käse, karamellisierten Zwiebeln und dazu Guacamole! Drin war: 75% Reis, ca.5% schwarze Bohnen und der Rest Huhn- bzw. zähes, Rindfleisch, alles ungewürzt und geschmackslos aber mit einem „Klecks“ (in einem winzigen Beilagengefäß, Fassungsvermögen ca. 1 Esslöffel!) Guacamole und 5 Blättchen „Irgendeinsalat“ oder Spinat mit ca. 20 Stück 3cm langen, Karottenzesten. Noch Fragen??? Das spricht doch alles wohl für sich selbst. Schulnote: 5- , für uns war´s das......und wir sind Berliner!!

It's our absolute favorite restaurant! The food is incredibly delicious and so plentiful that luckily there is always something left to look forward to. The service is always courteous and warm. And even if it's a little late for the fantastic cocktails after the grandiose feast and most of the guests have already left the restaurant, you'll never be pressured to finally pay. The large interior is decorated with cool Mexican paintings and in summer the tables outside are tempting. Splendid. I only deducted one point because of the Bundesallee, where you can hear the traffic, but thanks to the very wide sidewalk it is still far enough away to be able to enjoy the warm summer evenings. We'd love to come back very soon!

Food was okay. 2 of us ordered a shandy, but got a real beer. After we have said something, some of the beer should be drunk so that Sprite can be poured in. Actually a no go. So it was done, the Sprite was put in and it foamed and overflowed. No new beer was brought, just everything was wiped dry and a glass of Sprite was placed on the table to pour yourself. This is not a service

We ordered and really enjoyed burrito barbacoa and quesadillas. taking 1 star off because we found the chicken burrito (and chicken nachos) insignificant ...many people out of our group had same opinion..

Very good Mexican food, positive quality beyond the ready-made uniformity of the Mexican chains: freshly prepared, including the tortillas, well seasoned and flexible in ordering (I had roasted vegetables instead of black beans in my burrito). The non-alcoholic cocktail was also beautiful to look at and very tasty. Nice service: friendly but unobtrusive. Special ambience: Not as cluttered and colorful as many Mexican restaurants. The wall paintings and other Aztec accessories stand out discreetly from the otherwise dark, almost sober-looking design of the rooms. Extra: A saxophone player provided a relaxing background atmosphere on Saturday evening with not too loud, pleasant music. It's definitely not the last time I've been to this restaurant!

Great restaurant, we went to the salsa dance evening on Saturday and enjoyed the good food beforehand. The food was very good and we really enjoyed the live music afterwards, all the tables were occupied, there was a great atmosphere, thanks to the atmospheric band and the staff for the lovely evening, we'll be happy to come back.

Alcatraz is one of our favourites!! Our first experience with the food was just via delivery services, but we always found it really tasty, so one day we decided to go to the restaurant proper and we were not disappointed!! The owners are really friendly and accomodating (especially with kids!) and the food is just yum! We recommend Alcatraz to everyone, and when we have people visiting we usually take them to here :)

Вкус Мексики в сердце города: мелкие недочеты не могут затмить обаяние "Alcatraz" Мы решили окунуться в атмосферу мексиканской культуры, выбрав для ужина ресторан “Alcatraz”. С первых минут входа нас окутала теплая и дружелюбная атмосфера этого места. Персонал был внимательным и дружелюбным, что сразу создало приятное впечатление. Основным разочарованием для нас стали начос, которые, увы, не оправдали наших ожиданий. Они были не такими хрустящими и вкусными, как мы предполагали. Однако, это был единственный момент, который оставил нас неудовлетворенными. Меню предложило нам широкий выбор мексиканских блюд и напитков. В частности, пиво заслуживает особого внимания – оно было прекрасным дополнением к нашему ужину. Необычно и приятно удивило оформление туалетов – даже здесь чувствовался мексиканский колорит и внимание к деталям. В общем, несмотря на небольшой прокол с начос, "Alcatraz" предложил нам замечательный вечер в уютной мексиканской атмосфере. С удовольствием рекомендуем это место для приятного времяпровождения в компании друзей или семьи. Сюда хочется вернуться, чтобы ещё раз насладиться вкусной едой и теплой атмосферой.

Es war ein ganz toller Abend mit sehr leckerem Essen, einer sehr netten Bedienung und gemütlichen Ambiente. Wir haben das Restaurant mit unseren zwei Kindern (10 u. 6 Jahre) besucht und müssen sagen, dass wir selten so ein kinderfreundliches Restaurant besucht haben. Wir kommen gerne in unseren nächsten Urlaub wieder.

Das Ambiente ist schön gestaltet, der Service war okay. Wir haben einige Gerichte auf der Karte vermisst. Die Karte als solches ist lieblos gemacht. Das Essen war letztlich ganz gut, aber wir werden nicht mehr herkommen.

Essen und Bedienung super. Es fehlt ein wenig an Wärme im inneren. Wenn voll ist, dann ist es durch die hohen Räume sehr sehr laut, so dass man sich leider kaum noch normal unterhalten kann. Trotzdem sehr gern wieder

It was a nice time and lots of veggo options. Prices were pretty high in my opinion tho. I tried the frozen strawberry mocktail which was delish! Very sweet tho. We were a big group to serve and the food came out a bit in waves. Some of the poor group were waiting over an hour and by the time theirs came, most people were well finished. The service was friendly and the roasted vegetable and the sweet potato burrito 🌯 were yum. The sweet potato one was a bit dry, but otherwise I enjoyed. Lots of seating areas inside and out. Service was friendly. There were some stairs to navigate into the building and the toilets 🚻 were downstairs.

Hab über Lieferando bei diesem Restaurant bestellt. Eine geschlagene Stunde habe ich auf die Lieferung gewartet. Dann kommt aus dem Nichts auf einmal die Mitteilung "Ihre Bestellung wurde storniert.". Da hat das Restaurant einfach mal die Bestellung gecancelt, ohne Angabe von Gründen oder einer Entschuldigung. Ich gehe davon aus, dass die Feierabend gemacht haben und meine Bestellung nicht mehr rechtzeitig fertig geworden wäre. Hätten die aber auch gleich kommunizieren können und nicht erst eine Stunde später einfach stornieren, während ich noch hungriger bin als eine Stunde vorher. Essen kann ich nicht bewerten, da ich ja leider nie etwas Essbares geliefert bekommen habe... Service ist auf jeden Fall unterirdisch und total unprofessionell. Hier werde ich definitiv nicht nochmal bestellen.
