Delicious and authentic food. When we're back in Berlin, this will be our go-to place for dinner. Be sure to try the margaritas, too.

Kinda bumped into this place and was intrigued by the queue while neighbouring places were empty. It was a blast. The food was beyond tasty and the frozen drink was delightful! The staff are nice too. I would go back. (I ordered a quesadilla and margarita.)

Not recommended... At least not if you're traveling with children or toddlers. We drove halfway across town because we wanted to eat something special, and I had saved the restaurant. Unfortunately, we discovered that there were only two small (full) tables outside with a few chairs, small standing tables, and no suitable seating inside for a stroller and child. There were four of us with a child. Disappointed, we went somewhere else to eat.

To be honest, I expected more from this place, but I didn't like it. The "hot" sauce tasted like it came from a Heinz Taco Sauce bottle and tasted like ketchup. The tacos looked good, but they were very greasy and the flavor wasn't the best. The only redeeming feature was the horchata water.

The entrance area smells so disgusting that it really puts you off eating there. It ruins your appetite. The tacos were okay, but that was it.

Absolutely LOVED the pork belly burrito I had here—not your traditional burrito, but so very worth it. Will recommend to everyone I know and return. They also have a number of alcoholic slushies and free salsa I believe.

The burritos are insane! I give it 4 and not 5 because the space is super small inside and to order and try to get things is complicated. I will come back and get Chilaquiles

Maria Bonita used to be great but now their food isn't edible anymore. Like others already said: unbelievably greasy. The burrito isn't a burrito in my mind. It's an oil-soaked tortilla filled with very rich minced beef.

As a Mexican myself, it's unusual to find good mexican restaurants (most of them are just Tex-mex US food) but this one is really good! The asada tacos really feel like street mexican tacos! The quesadilla was delicious as well. Give this place a try!

Burrito falls apart in your hand before you take a bite. Taste mediocre.

These are the nicest staff around! And the most delicious Huevos Rancheros. And salsa! Thank goodness we have such a great place in Berlin, they satiate my need for Mexican food :-)

I remember María Bonita was better in the past. Unfortunately we had a different experience in our last visit. Very greasy quesadilla, I wouldn’t add oil to the outside of the tortillas and also the guacamole sauce added to these quesadilla is too acid, better let people add it at their own convenience. My girlfriend ordered the Tinga de Pollo burrito, and it was more beans than Tinga, it was also quite greasy, and wasn’t fun. As a Mexican, I have to admit I was quite disappointed by the quality of the Food and would love to see it go back to where it was.

The food is super delicious! There is less space for eating inside, so in the warm months it is an advantage to have tables and chairs outside. You can pay by card and the employees on site are very nice.

I wanted to show my friends this place because I really enjoy eating there. The two operations are unfortunately very unfriendly. We pointed to the paper map three times. They then ordered the wrong thing, which wasn't a problem, but I was looked at aggressively and had to point to the paper card several times again. We were told several times that next time we should just point it out. I thought I could enjoy the food now, then the food was brought and I was looked at again with punishment. Somehow the waitresses in the restaurant are wrong. Too bad!

Really incredible Mexican food in a trendy area! Pretty much everyone loves Mexican food but when Mexican friends personally recommend a place, like they did for this one, you already are going in to the place with super high expectations. The outcome? They were far exceeded! The quality of food here and the variety (but simplicity) of the menu is truly top-notch! The decor is wonderful too with vibrant colours and Mexican culture surrounding you. The stickers they offer up too are trendy reminders of the great time you'll have here and we loved all their sauces, many of which are totally complementary! The service was strong and well-paced, even with a long line in the cold, we were able to take in the great atmosphere of this little Mexican find and the food arrived promptly and didn't just taste incredible, but looked beautiful too! Would absolutely recommend this masterclass location for your Mexican food fix!

Most Mexican food in Berlin is pure slop. The chips are tostitos, the salsa has corn in it, and they think that a hard shell taco is an appetizer. This place is the real deal and frankly, their challenge is that the place is so small, they are limited on their menu options. I'm just hoping that the owner sees all of those empty little storefronts near Oranienburger Tor and decides to open a new spot there. Hint. Hint. Hint hint.

Authentic Mexican! super good! Best in Berlin

I went 4 years ago and I didn't think it was bad. Today I came back and the food was horrible. The pozole without broth and without tasting like pozole, the carnitas and asada tacos served with yesterday's tomato cut on the side, with the onion cut very large on the side so that you can put it with your hand, without cilantro, without lemon, and with a tiny sauce without any flavor. Tortillas unmade and tasteless. The truth is horrible

The food is totally greasy. Tomatoes were mushy. Guacamole didn't taste like anything. It seems like no effort is being made anymore. I have no idea why the place is so hyped. At least it's not that expensive.

The food is very tasty and fresh. We had one burrito per person, but it didn't fill us up. If the portions were larger for the price, everything would be perfect.

Delivery was disastrously packaged and arrived as a leaking soup.

The place and the ambience are “well”: so typically “Alex”. The staff is attentive and friendly. My mojitos were quite good, but without the wow factor...

Simply excellent Mexican cuisine in a restaurant that is a bit too small. Here you can order your food in seemingly all languages ​​and bridge the waiting time with a delicious margarita.

Exactly what one expects to find as authentic tacos, good flavor, good tortilla, the place is small and has no bathrooms. But it's worth it.

Tacos with pork and chicken were decent and authentic, but the beef version was unfortunately tough. Otherwise nice but very tight for sitting when you don't have to stand.

I first discovered MB in 2012, the food was good, authentic, and the atmosphere was open and welcoming. Most were from Spanish speaking countries, but it was still a nice mix of international staff. I've eaten there many times through the years, and always recommended it to and brought friends, especially those familiar with good Mexican. That's still pretty hard to find in Berlin. It was the same owners most of that time until a few years ago, when a German owner took over. Germans like to go for authenticity in a peculiar type of way, and I found now it was a mostly Mexican staff, I couldn't tell about the waitress. As a long time resident of Berlin (and Europe) and as a Black Native American who has worked in other restaurants, having all one type of crew can present its own issues if you are undereducated on bias and prejudice. The last time I visited in August 2024, the waitress literally ignored me, walked around me, didn't respond to me in any way. Since she did, the grillers looked at me and did the same. I did not feel welcome, it was a smiling type of antagonism and entitlement to greet and take care of certain customers and ignore others. Just poor behavior imo, business and personality-wise. Any customer who walks into a restaurant should be greeted by staff. They were not even busy, yet they immediately spoke to and took the orders of Anglo or Mexican looking customers who came after me. I walked back outside, and another person who was selling drinks for MB for an event started talking to me, and later brought me out some food. I would never recommend this place again. The owner has things to answer for as does his staff.

Bottomless... just wanted to eat a few tacos while relaxing in Berlin. As soon as I entered the place, the 4.6 star rating was a bit suspicious. The food we got was just disgusting. I can't say exactly why that was, but I wouldn't even feed it to my dog ​​because the tacos tasted bad and smelled in the store (not good). If you want to try it, you can be prepared that the taste will adapt to the ambience of the hole

The sweet potato quesadilla was really nice.

The vegetarian burrito tastes really great. Ordered with cheese, received without cheese. But hey, mistakes can happen. The guest room is very small. There are few places on stools. I can definitely recommend the store!

Don’t see the hype. Poor tasting and oily burritos. My beef burrito had entirely raw pieces of meat in it and I’m pregnant - huge health hazard!

I ate a beef burrito today and unfortunately I have to say it wasn't edible. The meat was so disgustingly stringy and tough that it was inedible. I often eat chicken there. Can't recommend the beef.

Half street food half restaurant: perfect for a quick meal, with quite some standing tables and a couple of bigger tables with seats. The vegetarian quesadilla was very rich and yummy, much appreciated after a workout. I liked that each shape (taco, burrito, quesadilla) comes in a meat or vegetarian version. Prices are around 9-11€ per portion, which is fair.

What beautiful people, good treatment and good food.

The taccos were a little soggy but okay. But the beef burrito was completely over salted and didn't taste like anything other than salt. The nachos don't look nice because of their dark color, and the guacamole with them contained almost half avocados and was unfortunately too salty. And the large portion is too expensive at 10 euros! Otherwise you pay for it gratinated with cheese plus guacemole, beans, crema and tomatoes. The crema we ordered, which costs extra, was missing despite payment. No complaints could be made about the pickup. But for 32 euros in total, not recommended, sorry, even if the service (order takers and chef) are really friendly ..

With all due respect, I have rarely eaten something as disappointing as this "burrito" and "quesadilla." After just two bites I had to stop. This has absolutely nothing to do with Mexican food. An unappetizing mixture of beans, chicken and cheap cheese wrapped in an industrial ready-made bread - and this is supposed to be Mexican food?

Highly recommended! Very authentic Mexican food...had chilaquiles rojas and agua de Jamaica (not too sweet for my taste). And it was no problem leaving out the cheese and replacing it with beans 😊❤️ Unfortunately no toilet because it is a small shop.
