Food was amazing - we tried tacos, limb and fish and all were really good! Coctails were also amazing and the atmosphere was really nice.

I recently visited this unique restaurant and was pleasantly surprised! The Israeli-Mexican fusion cuisine turned out to be an amazing combination – the dishes here are truly unique and full of bold flavors. The service was excellent: the staff was friendly, happy to help us with the menu, and offered great recommendations. The restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, making it perfect for both gatherings with friends and romantic evenings. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the originality and quality of the food. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves to experiment with new flavors and is eager to discover exciting combinations from different world cuisines!

"We were there last night, highly recommended! The service was excellent and welcoming, with a professional team that stopped by to explain each dish and the wines. The food was nothing short of amazing, and the restaurant itself is beautiful. It’s just a shame that at the table next to us, there were two young women who kept complaining, making strange requests, and showing a lack of tolerance. It seemed like they thought they were at McDonald's, which really spoiled the atmosphere to the point that we asked to move tables."

The food was good, nothing special, though, given what the place wants to be. Prices are actually ok for what you get. However, the service was unfortunately really really bad. The restaurant was half full, but we had to wait very long to actually order. Drinks (margaritas) arrived after the starter and were rather disappointing. We ordered tacos that never came and a second bottle of wine that only arrived after asking two times, one of the responses was that the wine is not available anymore but without offering an alternative.

Service very underwhelming and food as well. We were waiting for drinks and food for so long. We were keen to try lots of stuff from the Menue but even tho the restaurant wasn’t crowded everything just went tool to long. The service wasn’t proactive at all. We ordered tacos and they never came

Essen war untere Mittelklasse -ich hatte mir deutlich mehr davon versprochen: nicht besonders schmackhaft und mein Essen musste ich mir noch mal warm machen lassen - ein lauwarmes Chili con carne, das auch noch angebrannt schmeckte, ist halt nicht jedermanns Geschmack. Service zu Beginn sehr nervig: 2 Minuten nach Überreichen der Speisekarte weiß ich noch nicht, was ich essen möchte. Dann noch zwei weitere Nachfragen innerhalb kürzester Zeit, so dass ich darum bitten musste, dass einem doch bitte ein viertel Stündchen Zeit gegeben wird. Ambiente: düster und VIEL zu laut. Unterhaltung mit dem Tischnachbarn nur schreiend möglich. Auf Nachfrage, ob es auch etwas leiser geht: nein, allenfalls minimal, das sei das Konzept, um die Leute zum Feiern zu animieren.

I was in this Mexican restaurant today and unfortunately the visit was anything but pleasant. The cocktail menu was extensive, but I was surprised that a Pisco Sour was missing - for me that's just part of a good Mexican restaurant. The food was “okay”, but I didn’t think the price was appropriate. As far as the service is concerned, unfortunately it was completely lacking. At the beginning everything was fine, we were served quickly, but after that we were basically ignored. Our dirty dishes sat on the table for over an hour, no one cleared them away, and we sat in front of empty plates and glasses. We certainly would have ordered more, but the service was so bad and inattentive that we lost interest. The gentleman at the next table also had to wait 45 minutes for his bill - and the restaurant wasn't even half full. This can happen in any restaurant, but unfortunately our waitress wasn't particularly open to criticism and rather reacted snippily. We would have liked a more charming solution here. All in all, it was a pretty disappointing experience and I probably won't be back anytime soon.

Der Abend wurde für uns leider von einem sehr schlechten Service überschattet, der nicht auf unsere Bedürfnisse einging und uns lange auf Getränke hat warten lassen. Das schmutzige Geschirr stand fast den gesamten Abend auf unserem Tisch. Zudem bestand mein Hauptgericht nur aus einem Octopus-Arm für 28 Euro. Ein Hinweis auf die sinnvolle Bestellung einer Beilage wurde nicht gegeben. Leider kommt man hier dem Anspruch, den man suggerieren möchte in keiner Weise nach. Wir werden auf jeden Fall nicht wiederkommen.

The food is authentic Mexican and not your usual TexMex. Many nice appetizers to share and good main dishes. Nice terrace, very close to Hauptbahnhof. Service not well trained, long wait times for refills. But overall a good place to be!

Staff overwhelmed completely. Gave order, main course came first when half eaten appetiser came 2nd, then drinks came last, after we'd eaten and one of the drinks was the wrong item. The food was ok, chilaquiles was only just warm, tacos tiny. Waited so long to try to get staff to ask for the bill we went to the counter to pay. They had no cash change but ask for cash! They went to the shop next door while we waited to break note. Came back wirh still wrong change so waited another 5 mins while they went next door again. Dissapointing.

We went to this restaurant last night to celebrate my friend's birthday. I have to say we had a great evening. The atmosphere was very appealing and the decoration was fantastic. The food and drinks were very tasty. Most importantly, however, was the friendly and warm staff. Their service was truly excellent, and they even brought a beautiful cake for my friend's birthday and allowed us to take photos in a lovely room. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back myself. I really thank them for the wonderful evening they gave us.

I went to Amigo Cohen for the first time last night and absolutely loved it! The tacos were simply incredible - the meat so tender, the sides perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere was very cozy and the service was extremely attentive. Even with a full house, the waiter took a lot of time for us and gave us his recommendations. The price-performance ratio is also great. I can recommend the restaurant to anyone who values ​​high-quality cuisine and a pleasant atmosphere.

Very fancy atmosphere, but affordable. Restaurant combines Israeli and Mexican cuisine and is part of the Romy Hotel. Courteous staff. English is the lingua franca here.

Wir waren von Anfang bis Ende begeistert. Wir hatten eine Vielzahl von Gerichten, darunter Shrimps und Spare Ribs, alles war hervorragend. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die Shrimps, die einfach köstlich waren. Jeder Gang war ein Genuss und die Qualität des Essens war durchweg beeindruckend. Wir empfehlen das Amigo Cohen wärmstens weiter und freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch!

Zum dritten Mal begeistert: Toller Service, köstliche mediterran-lateinamerikanische Küche, gemütliches Ambiente. Preis-Leistung top. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Food was exactly what I hoped for, very tasty. Unfortunately, I was practically forgotten by the service, even though there were only two tables occupied. I ended up leaving without another drink and dessert because I didn't feel like waiting any longer.

Overpriced food and not particularly good quality. The service was catastrophic, we weren't the only table that had to wave the waiters over several times. Unfortunately, they were totally overwhelmed. Cocktails also not recommended. Every corner taco shop is better!

Food and Interior were amazing. The drinks service was a pure catastrophe - even with low Berlin expectations: restaurant was not even half full and we were two; first round came after food; second round just did not happen. Very cheap excuses.

Food was pretty much standard and not Mexican at all. Octopus and cheesecake were very good. Apart from that, the tacos, guacamole and ribs were okay-ish. Also, the aguachile had nothing to do with how a real aguachile should taste or look. Don’t think the dishes are worth the prices.

The worst bartender in Berlin. I have never experienced something like that. A staff like that destroys any reputation. Absolutely cheeky and outrageous. The blonde tattooed lady should work as a bouncer instead. However, the colleague was very polite.

Shrimp ordered: only lukewarm. At the Italian restaurant they are served piping hot. Fish carpaccio: ok Takkos with falafel balls: dry, salad in the taccos: poor in taste, no sauce. Food wasn't worth the money.

Leider, wie so oft bei speziellen Aktionen auch woanders, den Rabatt vom Taco Tuesday erst auf Nachfrage runtergerechnet. Das auch erst nachdem vorher noch angemerkt wurde „die Aktion ist, glaube ich, beendet“. Und das, obwohl auf Instagram tagesaktuell dafür geworben wird. Das ist unnötig und nervt, denn obwohl man als Gast im Recht ist kommt man sich blöd vor, dass man erst nachhaken muss und solche Rabattaktionen gerne mal „vergessen“ werden. Tacos mit Ente und Lamm lecker, der mit Pulpo langweilig. Der Pulpo im Hauptgang geschmacklich gut, aber ohne Beilage. Dafür etwas zu teuer. Insgesamt ein paar Euro zu hochpreisig für die Größe der Gerichte. Drinks gut! Insgesamt Luft nach oben.

The food was special! But the service is particularly noteworthy! From the moment you arrive at the restaurant until you leave, big compliments to the employees! Pamela, who served us, particularly impressed us with her love for the product and her complete identification with the restaurant.

Die Bewertung beruht darauf, dass die Gewürze der Mahlzeiten unseren Geschmack nicht getroffen hat. Ist schwierig dann eine gerechte Bewertung zu geben. Probiert es aus, vielleicht schmeckt es euch. Ansonsten ist es ein schönes Lokal, Bedienung zuvorkommend, höflich.

Just had a very good dinner there! We managed to chat with the main chef, Gal Cohen and he told us about his ideas for the food, which was absolutly delicious! I will surely come back there!

One of the most horrible places I've ever eaten, starting with the food which was beyond criticism, and the service which is also appalling, and urgently needs to be improved or replaced by the waiters and the manager who do not know how to serve the customer. I will not return to such a disgusting place like this in my life!!!

Beautiful restaurant, friendly service, great food and wonderful ambience. For two or in groups. Amano is doing a lot of things right. The bar and especially the bartenders are well trained. The whiskey sour is top notch!

Food was ok. Guacamole was tasteless, free peanuts and pistachio tasted good. Cocktails was ok-. Espresso martini was so so, margaritas spicy was not spicy at all, wine was fine - not amazing! Shimp Moroccan's style tasted great, octopus somewhat tasted rubbery, tacos was not like in Mexico at all- just some tortilla with some meat on top of it, no guacamole- no jalapenos- nothing! All in all just between 3-4 stars!

The amazing design of the place is the first thing I would highlight, it just fits with the whole mood of the place perfectly. Food portions are very generous, you are def not gonna stay hungry and everything tasted delicious, the combinations just work together very well in the dishes. Drinks are perfectly mixed and service is super friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a place with good food, good drinks and a good vibe, this is it.

Fantastic bar and bar staff! We had a great time enjoying cocktails with Romain—highly recommend a cocktail that he created with tequila and an Italian liquor. All the staff was very kind and easy to chat with. I recommend the seafood dishes.

Hit and miss. The food was good. Interesting combinations. Drinks were good too. Cold tortillas in tacos is a "no" though. Service was odd- Some of the waiters were great, very friendly and simply fun. One particular waitress that attended us was borderline rude and annoying. She was very pushy all along, constantly asking us, almost in an accusative tone, if we were going to order more, like if she needed to hit some revenue per table goal. The DJ, on the night we went there, seemed like she was at the beginning of her DJ career (no seamless transition from song to song, but almost abrupt changes). Spotify on shuffle would have done a better job.

Great concept! Going to this place is like travelling from Tulum to Tel-Aviv (or viceversa). The dishes followed the Mexican technique while using different ingredients that are locally sourced. As Mexican who grew up at the Pacific Coast, this is the place where I feel like home again! The ambience is great, low key and sexy. The staff is very friendly and they give excellent recommendations. Always ask for cocktails! This is the place for agave spirits :) I can only recommend it!

Der Service war sehr gut und aufmerksam. Es waren sicher 5 Servicekräfte im Laufe des Abends an unserem Tisch im Einsatz. Das Lokal ist sehr schön, abgedunkelt, schick und modern mexikanisch. Es liefen Hits aus den 80ern und 90ern - wir fanden das super. Man hat Blick auf die offene Küche, die einmal längs durch den Raum geht. Das Essen war sehr gut, Preis-Leistung war in Ordnung, ähnliche Tacos bekommt man aber sicher günstiger. Wir kommen wieder!

Cocktails were great; food was ok. At the start the music was very loud eventually they turned it down. foodwise the combination was not great: it should be either Mexican and/or Israeli food. Service sometimes was super slow but always friendly: waited 30mins for dessert. Would go back for the cocktails

Nice place for Valentine's dinner!

An absolute disappointment for €200! The tacos were inedible and when the waiter said the duck tacos were an order, we were worried about our entree. Our worries weren't in vain - the main courses were too salty! The service was an absolute DISASTER!! 1. We ordered a bottle of wine, it wasn't even ready, but we were asked twice if we needed a new bottle. 2. When we asked what an eagle fish should be, the employee said it was the most ordered fish in the store. Of course, because there is no other fish on offer. 3. While we were eating, an employee came with a staircase and wanted to check something... and all on a Saturday evening! The fun cost us €200! NEVER AGAIN!!!

Nachdem ich einen Monat zuvor einen Tisch bestellt hatte , bekamen wir 1 Stunde im Lokal zum Essen. Erst nachdem wir den Restaurant Leiter gesprochen hatten bekamen Wir 2 Stunden Zeit. Eher was für Generation Mac Donald. Und das auch noch zu exorbitant Preisen

Ordered a table 1 month in advance. We are then assigned a table at the bar. After asking, they wanted to allocate us a table in the restaurant for 1 hour. After we spoke to the restaurant manager, we still got a table in the restaurant for 2 hours. Food is more for people who like to eat deep fryers. We were here 3 times, first this and last time.

Eine absolute Enttäuschung für 200€! Die Tacos waren nicht essbar und als der Kellner gesagt hat, dass die Ente-Tacos ein Besteller wären, haben wir uns Sorgen um unser Hauptgericht gemacht. Unsere Sorgen waren nicht umsonst- die Hauptgerichte waren zu salzig! Der Service war eine absolute KATASTROPHE!! 1.Wir haben eine Flasche Wein bestellt, die war nicht mal fertig, aber wir wurden 2 mal gefragt, ob wir eine neue Flasche brauchen. 2.Als wir gefragt haben, was ein Adlerfisch sein sollte, hat die Mitarbeiterin gesagt, das wäre am meist bestellter Fisch im Laden. Selbstverständlich, weil es keinen anderen Fisch im Angebot gibt. 3.Als wir am Essen waren, kam ein Mitarbeiter mit einer Treppe und wollte was prüfen… und das alles an einem Samstag Abend! Der Spaß hat uns 200€ gekostet! NIE WIEDER!!!

We were there in January and had a wonderful evening for two. The service was excellent from reception to billing. Attentive and really nice. Great hosts. The bill was absolutely justified. The Shawarma Tacos were my highlight. The team among themselves (kitchen + service) also had a good vibe. I always think it's nice to see when the employees are having a good time. The ambience and interior are simply great. Also recommended for a drink in the bar area! So gladly again on the next Berlin trip.

We had a wonderful evening here with delicious food and excellent service. The prices are appropriate for the quality of the food and the restaurant manager invited us for a rosé after our meal. Super nice! We were very positively surprised by the beautiful interior. If you're ever in Berlin, definitely stop by!

We were there once and thought it was great, hence more than one star. We then made reservations a week in advance for a birthday party via Open Table. The booking was also secured with a credit card. The day before we received a cancellation saying that the restaurant was unfortunately fully booked. Now I can look for another restaurant at the last minute for my celebration. Thanks for nothing and so it was the last time for us too.

I really enjoyed my time at Amigo Cohen. I was on a date with my husband & liked the atmosphere, the food and the music. Restaurant is very stylish, which is a rarity for Berlin. The service was great, we’ve also got 2 extra mescal shots each on the house at the end. It’s more on the fancy side, so expect stylish crowd and prices a bit above average. I’ll definitely come again with a group of girlfriends for a fun night.
