Highly recommended, idyllically quiet, and ideal for bike tours. The staff is extremely friendly, and I'm definitely on my list for a second trip there.

Beautifully located right on the lake. We sat outside on the restaurant's terrace. The portion sizes were decent, the food was very tasty, and the prices were reasonable. Definitely worth a visit.

The note "simple hotel" is important, because the very professional website doesn't make it obvious that there are only shared toilets. You might have to wait in line if you need to. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean. The building is in its final stages of renovation.

Review is only for the service at the restaurant. The place is located about 20 meters from a clear nice swimming lake. We went to the lake with our two kids to swim and so we didn’t bring any streetclothes. The kids got hungry and we hoped to have a small lunch at the nice looking restaurant. However as we waited to get a table a very rude woman told us we are not allowed to sit while wearing bathing suits. Keep in mind that it is right next to a swinging lake. So we got some fries, a beer and a latte to go. The fries and beer were good but the latte was lukewarm.

We only used the outdoor dining and were very satisfied.

Hello, we recently stayed at this hotel and I'm puzzled as to where the good reviews come from. Based on the website, the hotel makes a decent impression. But the reality is different. The fact that the rooms are very basic isn't necessarily a criticism. Showers and toilets are in the hallway, and the extremely worn mattress didn't provide a restful night's sleep. In general, the hotel's overall condition gives a worn and unkempt impression. A shame, considering the otherwise very nice place. I definitely wouldn't recommend it. P.S.

It should be standard practice to display opening hours online whenever they change. It's frustrating when you arrive at 5 p.m. and find out that the hotel is already closed at 4:30 p.m. – All the more so since the Alatsee Hotel & Restaurant isn't easily accessible by car.

Great restaurant. We can't say much about the hotel. We had soup and cake, and both were truly excellent, fresh, and the cake was exceptionally delicious. A fantastic view, and the service was very attentive.

We were able to spend a snowy weekend at the Hotel am Alatsee. Particularly noteworthy was the very nice, courteous staff. We had booked half board. The three-course menu was very plentiful and tasty, but the chef was “a little in love” with the soup. At breakfast nothing was left to be desired. However, we were a bit disappointed about the cleanliness of the rooms. We booked the apartment with a private bathroom. A major basic cleaning should be done here again (cobwebs everywhere, mold in the joints of the shower, shower enclosure hinges that have never been cleaned, dirty curtains...). All in all, we would come back, purely because of the location.

Today we celebrated our grandson's first day of school with a meal. All 8 people enjoyed the food really well. Food was freshly prepared, the side vegetables were crunchy, in contrast to other restaurants where they are often overcooked. Service very friendly and accommodating. Casual atmosphere, but not intrusive. The occasion of our visit was also honored with a very personal card (and gift) to our grandson. Thank you again for the great experience.

This is one of our excursion destinations by bike when we are in the Allgäu. You can eat well and stay there in peace for hours.

Beautiful place to stay for a night. Delicious food, dinner and breakfast. You can even make your own waffles for breakfast! Rooms are old, but okay for 1 night. 2 bathrooms with double showers and toilet and a number of separate toilets.

I can only recommend the restaurant! I had lunch there today (salad with chanterelles). The food was very tasty and fresh. The service was also very friendly, in a good mood and service-oriented. She was also extremely dog ​​friendly. Even though I have a very large dog, this wasn't a problem at all! :) A bowl of water was brought to him straight away. It's also in a really nice location right on Lake Alatsee. All in all, really recommended, even for dog owners.

Prices are too expensive €5 for a small to normal piece of kitchen is just too much. All cakes were priced at €4. But we then paid €4.9 for a cake.

A special hotel/restaurant in an incredibly beautiful location! Fantastic! A small lake between the mountains. We arrived at the restaurant on our bikes at 12:30, the best summer day, busy. After a few minutes of waiting we got a seat. The view is really fantastic. Service very friendly and competent. The food was brought quickly and was super tasty. Bread basket with the salad was included. Plenty of dessert and ice cream on offer. I decided on a homemade apricot crumble cake. Getting there: Ideally by e-bike, from Füssen on a beautiful, slowly rising forest path or up from Weißensee. This means no parking problem. Walking up from Weißensee, for example, takes approximately 45-60 minutes. By car, you should arrive early, as the parking spaces at the top are limited and the parking lot down at Weißensee also fills up quickly during the holidays when the weather is good.

Very nicely located. We can't say anything about the rooms as we only stayed in the inn. The food was very good. You sit in a nice atmosphere (terrace) and have a great view of the lake. The service was very attentive but not intrusive. We can highly recommend the hotel restaurant.

We spontaneously wanted to go out for dinner on a Sunday evening at 5:15 p.m. First we were asked if we had reserved, which is common practice these days. We didn't make a reservation because it was raining all day and it was likely that there would be few guests. After asking about the reservation, we were told that there would only be cake and that the kitchen was on break. When we said we would like dinner the kitchen then cleaned the ventilation. Instead of saying that there is no hot food today because of the weather, it became more and more contradictory. Unfortunately only 1 point.

I only ate here, so can't say anything about the hotel. It's right on the lake, so you have a nice view, but you'd better reserve a table if you want to eat here, as it gets busy here during the holiday season. To eat: I chose the smoked and grilled duck breast. This was also one of the cheaper meals at €17. The food came quite quickly, the duck breast was very tender and tasted very good. The salad and sauce rounded the whole thing off nicely. Drinks: I just ordered water, 0.75l for €6.40. There are two types of water, Allgäuer with and without carbonation and Grander water with and without carbonation. Grander will probably not mean anything to most people, Grander not only sells water but also “water revitalization devices”, these are not water bubblers but supposed positive “energies” with which the water is “revived”. One more reason to choose the Allgäu region. In summary: You can eat well here with a beautiful view, but you should reserve a table in advance. The price here is around €25-30 per person.

There are staff “working” there who were certainly able to let off steam during Corona times. Anyone who ignores/does not comply with the parking rules here will be immediately expelled from the terrace and insulted. There are already a few similar negative reviews. The sound makes the music, and with an appropriate and nice note to us regarding, among other things, the park rules, we would definitely have come to an agreement.

We stopped there on March 26th, 2024 after a tour of the lake. Very nicely located. The hotel beer garden was well filled. The staff was very friendly and also very funny. We personally really liked it. The food was of a high standard, the portions were sufficient and the prices were reasonable. We then made reservations for Saturday. Great view of the lake and also of the mountains. We would definitely recommend it.

Went there to eat after a tour of the lake. Dishes were good but not exceptional. Unfortunately the price is a bit excessive. If there were fewer tourists, less would be charged. The inside of the inn is as you would imagine...old

In the middle of nature, quiet location, waking up with a view of the lake. The food was fantastic! Delicious duck breast with pumpkin strips and a generous breakfast buffet with cinnamon waffles as a surprise. Very friendly staff - highly recommended for nature refueling and feasting :)

We took a hike to Lake Alat and happened to end up in the restaurant. It was wonderful weather, I would have liked to sit outside, only all the tables were reserved and when we left, these tables were still free. I have no idea what kind of system the tables are allocated there. Still had a lovely meal...

We had booked a 3-day stay in the hotel at the beginning of the year. Unfortunately, we became very seriously ill with Corona days before and were unable to arrive - also out of consideration for other hotel guests/employees. The request to cancel the trip free of charge was not responded to. The request to postpone the arrival period by a few days was also not approved. Instead, we should book again. They would have given us a 50% discount as a gesture of goodwill for booking again. We've been booking on Booking.com for years. Up until now we've always had understanding hosts. The fact that you can't turn a blind eye to a child who's lying in bed at 43 degrees is incomprehensible to me. I hope you never end up in that situation a situation and become happy with the money.

A wonderful place. Very good food, great view from the terrace. Since I walk along the Alatsee every day and regularly sit on the terrace for a meal or a cafe with my three large 9-year-old dogs, I can wholeheartedly recommend this place. A very dog ​​and child friendly house.

I can't give an opinion about the hotel, it's definitely a good one, but I'm disappointed, had to cancel at short notice due to coronavirus or wanted another date and didn't go to the hotel. Had to pay the full amount. I don't think it's very nice, I know that's the contract.

A beautiful place. A very beautiful lake. Great hikes (20 minutes on foot in Austria). The food is awesome. The hotel with Bavarian flair. The rooms are old but nice. If you love something like that, you've come to the right place. A very good price-performance ratio. The hospitality was mega. We will be back.

Although it is already a bit old, the restaurant exudes the charm of the 70s/80s. It reminds me of my apprenticeship in the catering industry in the mid/late 70s. I like that, but a more modern style would suit the hotel restaurant and excursion destination right on Lake Alatsee. In any case, the kitchen has been a few years ahead. Classic Allgäu dishes with a touch of modern cuisine. The service team is consistently super friendly and quick. The prices are reasonable.

Nous avons passé un super séjour dans cet hôtel au bord d’un lac magnifique. L’accueil était super et le petit déjeuner excellent. Il manquait juste des toilettes et une douche dans la chambre mais dans l’ensemble je vous recommande grandement cet hôtel.
