Ahrens Restaurant in Marburg

I really enjoy eating here, and the food is always delicious. Huge praise to the chefs! The coffee specialties are simply delicious too. ☕️

I ordered a schnitzel today, and it was inedible—hard as a rock—and ridiculously overpriced. When I asked the staff about it, I didn't get a real answer, and they didn't offer me anything else. I just got strange looks. The prices are completely unrealistic. The ambiance is inviting, but that was the only positive thing I could say about it. It's probably nice for coffee and cake, but I'd rather go somewhere else for a meal!

The food was unfortunately not good for the price. The side dishes (pumpkin and potatoes) were oversalted and the salmon wasn't cooked through. Each dish cost €25. The view from the window is fantastic. I'll only go there for coffee and cake from now on.

In the past, value for money was paramount. Today, the "Ahrens Restaurant" is a large cafeteria with terrible food... So, value for money isn't right. However, the prices are those of a really good restaurant... The owners would do well to read the reviews. What a shame... :-((

Far too expensive, the food doesn't taste good. But the view is beautiful.

The restaurant no longer accepts the Campus Card, and the photo of the card in the app wasn't accepted either. It's unfortunate that they're losing customers over such minor issues.

As a student, you're not welcome in this senior citizen society! After switching from the CampusCard to the app, I was yelled at at the checkout that only the app was valid and that I had no business using the card. So I paid full price and will never come back! Instead of the original 30% discount, there's now only a 15% discount. Nothing for students anymore!

No stars overall. No other posts. The quality has declined rapidly. I don't know how you can write "unbeatable." In what way? It's possible, unbeatable in the "bad" category. Soups are constantly cold. The food isn't large, communication problems. Underseasoned, overseasoned, then too salty. Warmed-up ready meals from the grocery department. The prices are simply too expensive for that. Maybe rethink things. Send skilled workers who work in the restaurant industry to training. Or hire people with qualified qualifications. For me, it really was the last time I ate here today! The currywurst at Rudolfsplatz for 7.50 with fries and salad is cheaper, over 2 euros, and better! It's just reality. The Asian corner is too expensive, the Schloßcenter is simply better and cheaper.

I often go for breakfast or sometimes even eat a little something. Everything's fine. However, two employees at the checkout have a harsh, "canteen-like" tone...

The two of us just wanted a quick lunch and paid over €50 for mediocre food at best. You do the service yourself. The staff is friendly.

Great restaurant with a view of Marburg Castle. Cheap lunch, delicious buffet, Asian corner, cake buffet and much more. The WiFi works very well.

I come here regularly on my lunch break. The daily special for €9.50 is unbeatable in terms of price-performance ratio and if you know which dishes are recommended, everything is fine. The view of the Marburg Landgrave's Castle is very beautiful. The furnishings are also very attractive.

The dishes at the stations were already dry by early afternoon. I'm happy to pay good money for good quality, but the food offered here is poor. Our dishes were poorly seasoned and the meat was tough. The staff was unfriendly and dismissive. The baked broccoli was okay. The view of the castle and the upper town was good.

Great view. If you have to go to the toilet, you can't avoid it anyway.

My stars are based on previous experiences. Now we couldn't even get to the restaurant, the parking garage was very full and we quickly got out again after the first floor We were very happy to have managed it at all, we had big problems getting around the corners with our car. Therefore not any higher. I was really worried about our sides.

Well-kept atmosphere, friendly service. Disabled toilet clean!!

Kackladen only has breakfast until 10 and the scooter was stolen

Food has become much more expensive. Coffee and cake delicious. Ambience ok, view of the castle priceless.

The fact that I can put together my own meal makes strolling even more relaxing. The toilets are also very clean, which is important to me personally.

The food is good with daily specials etc., large selection of cakes. I'd love to come here.

It's a disgrace to charge €10 for a small plate of Asian food without meat.

We went to the restaurant today to have a little something to eat. We will NEVER visit the restaurant AGAIN. Rösti were sticky, sauce tasted like chemicals and when we stripped the breading off the schnitzel, there was nothing left of the meat..... We paid 27 euros... really a disgrace and incomprehensible for such an expensive establishment that such a meal is offered. Shortly before, someone from the management came to meet me. If I had already eaten at that time, I would have spoken to him.

When we go shopping for eggs, we like to grab a bite to eat there. You shouldn't expect too much, but the staff is friendly and the prices are affordable.

Schön, dass es noch eine solche Lokation gibt. Gutes, abwechslungsreiches Essen in schönem Ambiente und mit fantastischem Schloss/Altstadtblick. Ein Stern Abzug wegen der zünftigen Preise. Insgesamt aber eine klare Empfehlung.

Wir hatten das Ahrens Catering für unsere Hochzeit bestellt. Der Kontakt war sehr angenehm, Auswahl und Qualität des Essens sehr gut und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis super. Insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Kann ich ohne Bedenken weiterempfehlen!

Ich gehe schon seit vielen Jahren ins Ahrens Restaurant, die Speisen sind sehr vielseitig, jeder bekommt dort was nach seinem Geschmack. Es ist dort sehr sauber und es ist angenehm dort zu verweilen und zu essen.

Wenn man einen der begehrten Fensterplätze ergattert, hat man einen wunderbaren Blick auf das Marburger Schloss....mein Kaffee war gut, ist ein Selbstbedienungslokal...passt, das Personal ist echt freundlich, das Essen scheint zu schmecken...habe ne schöne Pause gehabt...komme wieder

Das Restaurant hat eine tolle Aussicht und eine vielfältige Auswahl an Essen! Vor allem aber hat mich der Micheal Kirchheim begeistert. Super freundlich und immer auf eine Lösung bedacht. Vielen Dank für das tolle Ambiente!

Sehr gemütlich und angenehme Atmosphäre. Lädt zu längerem Verweilen ein, - sofern man nicht gerade die Stunde nach Schulschluss erwischt 😉

Kaltes und überteuertes Essen. Lediglich das Ambiente ist einladend. Möchte ich nicht mehr.

Das Frühstück ist sehr gut, auch preislich, z.B. im 6+1 Menü, absolut im Rahmen, man kann sich aus vielen verschieden Speisen am Buffet sein Frühstück nach eigenen Wünschen zusammenstellen. Auch das Ambiente ist in Ordnung. Es könnte noch nachgebessert werden, auch pflanzliche Milch anzubieten. Als meine Partnerin nach pflanzlicher Milch fragte, wurde diese nur blöd angeguckt. Abzug gibt es allerdings für die Toilette, welche an dem Tag stark verschmutzt war, obwohl die Dame zu Reinigung vor der Tür saß und Geld sammelt.

Preiswerte Tagesgerichte; Vielzahl anderer leckerer Alternativen; gute Aussicht; Ambiente ok.
