Sehr leckeres Essen und auch die Biere haben sehr gut geschmeckt. Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Positiv überrascht hat uns der Preiselbeer-Meerrettich-Senf. Klang im ersten Moment etwas komisch, war aber mega lecker :)

Rustikales, passendes Ambiente mit guter Lage. Der Service ist nett und freundlich und das Bier schmeckt echt lecker. Außen und Innen ist genügend Platz. Preis-Leistung stimmt. Zu Speisen kann leider Aussage getroffen werden.

Die Bratwürste und das Sauerkraut waren lauwarm - vorgekocht und in der Mikro aufgewärmt?? Immerhin, das Bier ist gut und das Krustenbratenbrötchen, das ich vor einer Weile mal gegessen habe, war hervorragend.

Draußen sitzt man herrlich in der Sonne. Bier & Essen sehr gut. Super freundlicher Service!

Der Krustenbratenbrödla war ein Gedicht. Der perfekte Stop bei einem Ausflug nach Bamberg 😋.

Ich war im Ahörnla eher spontan und genau so entdeckt man solche Läden wahrscheinlich am besten. Das Gebäude geht bis ins 14. Jahrhundert zurück und wurde schon 1366 erwähnt. Früher wurde hier gebraut, heute ist wieder Leben drin und seit ein paar Jahren gibt es auch wieder eigenes Bier. Genau dieses Zusammenspiel merkt man sofort. Drinnen verwinkelt, Gewölbe, viel Holz. Nichts geschniegelt, sondern einfach gewachsen. Man sitzt da und merkt schnell, dass hier schon lange Leute ein- und ausgehen. Essen und Bier waren gut und absolut passend. Für mich steht aber klar die Atmosphäre im Vordergrund. So ein Ort, an dem man automatisch länger bleibt. Trotz der Lage im Sandgebiet angenehm entspannt und nicht übertrieben touristisch.

Gutes Bier und auch sonst eine grosse Getränkeauswahl. Etwas für Gin Liebhaber. Eine Gaststätte, die für das etwas jüngere Publikum eine Top Location ist.

Sehr schön eingerichtete Wirtschaft mit flottem Personal und gutem Bier

Wir haben letzte Woche eine Brauereiführung mitgemacht. Natürlich haben wir auch viel über das Bierbrauen gelernt, aber on top gab es noch viele historische Infos und Anekdoten über das Gasthaus. Die Braukessel in dem engen Turm zu sehen, war schon beeindruckend. Es war auch nicht gerade einfach, diese dorthin zu bringen. Wir hatten viel Spaß und können diese Führung selbstredend weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank nochmals an den Eigentümer für dieses schöne Erlebnis.

Auf unserer Tour durch Bamberg waren meine Frau und ich auch im "modernsten Brauhaus von Bamberg". Die Location besteht zwar schon länger, aber offenbar brauen sie erst seit 2021 ihr eigenes Bier. Ich muss sagen, dass die Location ziemlich viel hermacht und auch einen schönen modernen Look hat. Man kann hier auch echt bequem und geräumig sitzen. Das Bier ist hier auf jeden Fall schonmal sehr lecker. Wir haben sowohl das Helle, als auch das Rotbier probiert. Waren beide sehr gut. Meine Frau trinkt eigentlich gar kein Rotbier und selbst ihr hat es sehr gut geschmeckt. Falls man mal keine Lust auf Bier hat, gibt es auch ein paar andere Drinks zur Auswahl, unter anderem auch recht kreative Shots wie den "Cheesecake-Shot" im Waffelbecher oder den joghurt-lastigen "Nimm 2 Shot". Auch die Speisekarte kann hier überzeugen. Es gibt hier sowohl traditionelle, als auch moderne Gerichte und auch alles dazwischen, was dann zu lustigen Kreationen wie dem "Pulled Schäuferla" führt. Auch die vegetarische Karte sieht hier ziemlich gut aus. Meine Frau hatte Bratwürste mit Sauerkraut und dazu gefühlt noch eine halbe Brotzeitplatte als Beilage. Hat ihr sehr gut geschmeckt, war aber fast schon mengenmäßig zu viel. Bei mir gab es Pommes mit Chili Sin Carne überbacken. Die waren sehr gut und irgendwie haben sie es hinbekommen, dass die Pommes selbst ordentlich knusprig geblieben sind und der Käse nicht nach kurzer Zeit einfach nur hart wurde. Das Chili war jetzt zwar nicht scharf, aber immerhin etwas pikant. War sehr zufrieden. Auch das Personal war echt freundlich. Wir hatten hier also eine echt gute Zeit.

Der Service war hervorragend, das Essen war exquisite fränkische Küche und das Bier erstklassig.

Wir waren heute im Ahörnla essen, das Essen war wirklich lecker! Es war viel los und dafür nur zwei Servicekräfte - Getränke haben etwas länger gedauert und alles wirkte etwas gestresst…

Gutes Bier. Gute Atmosphäre. Die Bierflaschen zum Mitnehmen waren schmutzig.

We ate there yesterday and honestly: €17 for a Wiener Schnitzel that wasn't even the size of a child's schnitzel is an absolute rip-off. The price-performance ratio is completely off. It tasted okay, but at that price you definitely expect something different. Very disappointing.

We were here for our Christmas party and felt incredibly comfortable. Our server, Lina, was also very friendly and attentive. We'd love to come back. The food was delicious and very filling. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

There were four of us at the restaurant, and we all ordered sauerbraten. The food arrived relatively quickly, which initially surprised us. Unfortunately, the taste was a complete disappointment – ​​the sauerbraten was extremely sour, bitter, and generally unappetizing. We could barely eat it and only managed a few bites. We politely pointed this out to the waiter. He was very courteous and helpful and said he would sort it out with the kitchen. After about 15 minutes, he returned and informed us that the kitchen couldn't do anything, but would offer us a coffee or espresso. We found this very disappointing – especially since it was clear that we had hardly touched the food and all four of us had the same problem. Since we work in the restaurant industry ourselves, we expected that constructive criticism would be handled better. Instead, we were told that there was no alternative because we don't eat pork – which wasn't entirely true. Even more disappointing was the fact that we were still charged in full for the inedible dish. Had we ordered something else, dinner would have cost us over €50 per person – even though we left the original dish practically untouched. Overall, we were very disappointed. We were really looking forward to a nice evening and good food, but unfortunately, we were completely let down. This was definitely our last visit.

Nice atmosphere with pleasant music. Since I only wanted a draft beer, I simply sat down at the bar. The service was exceptionally good (high praise!). I ordered a red beer, but unfortunately, after the employee checked, the keg/tank was empty. So they had to switch and immediately apologized sincerely. After there was still no beer after a while (about 10 minutes, I'd say), one of the employees bought me a small Bock beer on the house as an apology. Since something wasn't right, I (luckily) just went for the Helles. I'm actually an absolute Pilsner fan and rarely get a Helles beer, but it was good! As I said, the waiters apologized a lot, were communicative, in a good mood, and everything went quickly and smoothly. Definitely worth another drink!

We had a very informative, authentic, and interesting brewery tour today. Followed by a delicious meal. All in all, a very successful and delicious meal. Please keep it up.

Got a table right away without a reservation (Friday night!) Delicious food at absolutely fair prices, home-brewed beer without any frills, friendly service! What more could you want?

Visited previously, no issues, decent beer. Left this evening with a bad taste in my mouth. The staff were rude and inattentive, ignoring our table, so we left.

We stopped in for a quick beer while exploring Bamberg. The story of how they got the brewhouse in is incredible. This was my favorite stop in all of Germany. Friendly staff and great beer as well.

The currywurst was tasty, but a third of the sauce would have been enough.

We had reserved a table for eight people for the Sandkerwa festival and were absolutely thrilled with the location above the Tubel. Many thanks to the lovely owner who made it possible. The service is super friendly!

Absolute disappointment – ​​never again! What once began as a charming bar has now unfortunately become a prime example of poor service and abysmal customer service. The increasingly negative reviews of the past few months already demonstrate it – things are going downhill at Ahörnla, and it has apparently reached a new low. Our experience during the Sandkerwa was completely unacceptable: We were given the wrong amount for the deposit. When we politely inquired, this was not only ignored, but we were told we wouldn't get it back. When we continued to ask, our order was canceled – and we were aggressively shouted at to immediately return the deposit token we had just received. There was no receipt for the cancellation of a not insignificant amount. Even when we asked for one, we were told that none was given. This behavior is not only unprofessional, but disrespectful and shows contempt for customers. Anyone who treats their guests like this shouldn't be surprised by criticism. There are many other restaurants in Bamberg that truly understand service – Ahörnla is definitely no longer one of them. If Ahörnla's mission is to destroy long-standing customer relationships, it's impossible to be any worse – you've clearly achieved your goal!

Guys, I don't usually write reviews, but something has been going terribly wrong here since 2020/2021. I'm only talking about the Krustenbratenbrödla (crusted roast brödla) by the window (the rest of the restaurant and the beer are fine, I think), but here I get the feeling they've cut corners. I remember the "Krubrabrö" as a crispy, juicy, hot, and delicious meal for the evenings in the sand, but also during the day. Somehow, it was always super delicious back then. I'm missing a few things now: - the rind isn't crispy at all in places; you have to chew too hard. - the meat is drier than I remembered. - the juicy parts near the rind were simply too greasy for me, or rather too "slimy" (I don't know, I can't describe it very well), but in general, I don't like the taste anymore. - the roll is just a cheap pre-baked roll (I think it was a few years ago, but it still makes the taste experience even worse). I threw away the almost €5 I paid for it this evening because I just couldn't eat any more. That makes me really sad, because I was actually really enjoying it before. I hope I was able to contribute some constructive criticism with this review.

Delicious light beer, good food (vegetarian options are also available), and a really nice atmosphere. The service was very friendly – sometimes a little slow, but always attentive. We'll be back!

👏 The Ahörnla in Bamberg – my personal flagship business – as a consultant. If there were more than 10 stars, I could give 12! I support many restaurants, but only a few implement their advice as consistently and with such commitment as the Ahörnla. What I recommend isn't questioned or debated here – it's done. And it's done with heart, understanding, and a genuine desire to improve. Whether it's cleanliness, hygiene, warehousing, or the use of goods: nothing is left to chance here. When I walk into the kitchen today – no matter what time of day – I find a sparkling clean, highly organized work environment. That's professionalism in action. The team has also developed significantly. At first, people were skeptical of me, perhaps even a little annoyed because I openly addressed mistakes. Today, they treat me with respect – and some of the employees have even become friends. For me, Ahörnla is a prime example of how a restaurant can work when everyone pulls together. Before I list everyone's name - you are all so amazing! Respect! Thank you for your trust!

I ordered schnitzel salad... a little leaf, some cherry tomatoes, cucumber, some cheese, 10 almond flakes, dressing, and a children's schnitzel. Taste... okay, for €18.80, I would have expected a schnitzel and not 8 small strips of schnitzel. It said "Wiener-style" on the menu, but it really wasn't accurate. I also mentioned it to the waitress, to be fair, and she wanted to pass it on. I come from a restaurant background myself, and that's either too expensive or they just serve a schnitzel. Sorry, but I don't recommend it.

A wonderful, cozy, and rustic brewery with a modern twist. The menu offers a great mix of typical Franconian dishes, as well as more "modern" ones (the roast pork is amazing!). But most importantly: an excellent house-brewed beer! I like the lager the most :) I've been to this place twice now, I feel extremely comfortable, and I would come back again and again.

Unfortunately, only 2 stars! Despite the price, the food was too simple. (4 slices of cheese on a cheese platter!) The burger was burnt. The service staff responded accordingly and offered alternatives/compensation. However, I wonder how a burnt burger is even allowed to leave the kitchen! The beer was okay, rather average for Bamberg's beer scene. Service was nice, but too slow given that the restaurant was (almost) empty to begin with. We had to get our attention before we could place our food order. Unfortunately, it's not enough for the lovely, rustic ambiance. More could be done. All in all, the price/performance ratio is simply not right. We won't be going to this restaurant again!

We arrived with high expectations and left disappointed... The food was unfortunately just standard, the highlight being the currywurst. No one out of six people liked the beer, and the Bacchus wasn't particularly good either. The service and ambiance were great, but having to walk through the indoor smoking area to use the restroom is a complete no-go. We left feeling rather disappointed.

We recently held a company event at Ahörnla. There were about 20 of us, and we started with a brewery tour and beer tasting, followed by a break, and then held our meeting in the brewmaster's room. TOP service, a super-interesting tour led by the chef, and a GREAT atmosphere! Truly something different compared to the usual (boring) meetings ;-) HIGHLY recommended!

Generally good food, but you don't get any cutlery to hand, which makes the menu almost impossible to eat.

Quaint brewery that offers authentically brewed beers that have their own flavors. A brewery tour and a beer tasting provide a good insight into the art of brewing. The food is probably just intended as a filling side dish, the price-performance ratio is still good, and the service is routine.

Was in the to go shop and the beer was so warm, simply undrinkable. Didn't have a cold one either...

A really nice guesthouse in the old town of Bamberg. The food and the home-brewed beer were definitely convincing. The ambience invites you to linger. If you're looking for peace and quiet, you've come to the wrong place, there's always something going on, but that's exactly what we were looking for at the time. You can definitely come here with a larger group and have a good time.

Unfortunately we can't rate the food because we took a brewery tour. The tour was absolutely great, we were told a lot about the building and the history of the Ahörnla, which was really incredibly interesting. We were also able to try different beers such as Merzen, the red and the light beer, which were very interesting and good in their characteristics. The whole building, the brewing tower, exudes an absolutely great charm. It was just really fun to find out everything about the Ahörnla. What was also great was the relaxed atmosphere, it wasn't staged but simply relaxed and personal.

Preisleistung ist eine Frechheit. Essen war gut aber für den Preis viel zu wenig. Die Pommes Gerichte sind viel teuer. Pommes mit Pilzrahmsoße : Eine Handvoll Pommes ,leider mußte man die Pilze suchen. Pommes mit Pulledbork : 2 Gabeln Fleisch im Töpfchen.

If you could give it less than one star, I would have. Unfortunately a complete disappointment. The food was obviously not freshly prepared, but from the microwave. The bread dumplings were poor in taste, definitely finished products with an equally poorly seasoned sauce and hard mushrooms, which were the main ingredient in a lukewarm “mushroom sauce”. There was also a burger, which also came from the convenience store and was accompanied by warmed fries. Unfortunately, apart from a repeated “sorry” and a poor understanding of the overall situation (two full dishes and one only eaten dish were returned - and that after only 37 minutes of staying in the inn), the lady from the service didn't have much to offer. We had to pay 100% and will definitely never enter this restaurant again. You can probably only endure the food there after the first barrel. Just all around terrible!

Just got kicked out because we folded a flyer. Security was called by the extremely rude waitress (bar manager). Well, the little one just wanted to show off a little power. Ridiculous... I would go there more. Hopefully she will lose her job. Even the bouncer had to laugh 😂😂😂

Super great restaurant with great service, be sure to reserve a table in advance! Delicious food with a small menu. Good portions, delicious beer, super fast service. As soon as the beer was empty, it was immediately noticed. Great atmosphere. I'd love to come back!!!

Beer was very good, there was a separate smoking area, a chic atmosphere and fast service. All in all: what more could you want?

In my opinion, best beer in town! If you are looking for something extraordinary and also want a great location, you will find it here. Great service, good Franconian prices... that's how we say it in Franconia. Cheers!

Staff and ambience as well as food were very good

We were at Ahörnla again on Friday with a larger group. It's really surprising and at the same time a shame that there are no fixed opening times here. The bar was full and yet we had to leave within 20 minutes! finish our glasses and leave. Waitress's statement: "There's not enough going on." Why the boss lets almost an hour of sales slip through my fingers is incomprehensible to me, but ultimately it's not my business. However, in my opinion, it is disrespectful to so cheekily ask a table that has spent several hundred euros over the course of the evening to leave the store. Sentences were made like, hurry up, you should have been outside 5 minutes ago and and and... Since this wasn't the first time this happened and the bouncers in particular seemed to have lost their decency towards adults, it was definitely the last evening I spent here.

The beer is super drinkable, both the light and the dark from the tap. The crusty roast was also great, the rest of the maple pan was rather average (quick system catering). The delicious crusty roast is also available from the window next door in Brötchen To-Go. The service is quick and attentive. The atmosphere is quite cozy in the early evening, then more like apres-ski. From 8 p.m. the inner courtyard becomes a party cellar. The guests push through the restaurant, stand in line at the counter and there is security at the door. Brewery that advertises gin (tonic) tastings, sells 1L vodka bottles with mixed drinks and serves more Aperol Spritz than beer. The concept is more of an Ahörnla apres-ski hut than a brewery.

Wir sind extra nach Bamberg gefahren um 5 l Fäßle zu kaufen. Angeblich gibt es die im Ahörnle. Es wird sogar Werbung in der Vitrine und über Bildschirm gemacht. Alles ein Witz, nix gibt es. Noch nicht einmal ein 5 l Fäßle. Kannst vergessen, diese Brauerei Kneipe. Enttäuscht total

We had the two tables at the entrance with a window view. Nice atmosphere and good music. However, the food doesn't justify the price. The burger with fries €17.80!!! It was a ready-made patty... inedible and then to top it off I bit into something hard... the waitress didn't even ask when clearing away whether the food was good or whether everything was satisfactory... What a shame.

A typical Franconian inn with delicious food! We had the Jäger Geschnetzeltes and a Schäufela pan, absolutely delicious! Not to forget the main actor!! THE BEER! Our own Ahörnla Bräu, delicious light and drinkable festival beer. Highly recommended! Thanks to the team!👍

Wir waren ca. eine Stunde zu früh da, trotzdem konnten wir bereits rein. Bedienung war sehr nett, Essen lecker und das Helle sehr schmackhaft. Ein Junggesellenabschied war leider sehr nervig, nach einiger Zeit wurde dieser aber durch den Betreiber gegangen. Gerne wieder!

The food was really amazing! All the dishes were beautifully prepared and tasted great! Unfortunately, the starters arrived when the main courses were already half eaten - or they were completely forgotten. When asked, the shoulder was shrugged briefly and the order was canceled if requested. Now one could show leniency if the inn were fully occupied. Today, however, at 8 p.m. only 1/3 of the tables were occupied and the waitresses were bored at the counter. Unfortunately not so good today.

We had booked the brewery tour. Since the master brewer and the boss were on vacation, the chef Patrick and the new trainee Nick took over (on his 5th day of work as far as I could tell). What can I say: the boys did it very confidently and likeably. All questions were answered with a lot of background knowledge and it was really fun. As always, the crusty roast rolls are a dream and so is the beer.

We wanted to go inside, but they didn't allow one of friends to enter without any reason. He has German Ausweis, but the young security told him, it is not an Ausweis!!!

Went to Sandkerwa yesterday. Unfortunately, the crusty roast bread to go at the window wasn't of the quality we were always used to. It was just a big, greasy, squishy slice of belly and not the usual quick crust. We then needed two schnapps to digest. This has to get better again!

Food was still cold inside. It was also very cold in the guest room, especially the room at the back, which was used as access to the toilets, so unfortunately there was no comfort or warmth to speak of.

My favorite shop in Bamberg. Gulp (Bamberger Spezi) and a crusty roast roll. That's first class. Good types of beer and generally a very cozy shop.
