On our first visit, the food was quite tasty, but the service was rather mixed. Now we were at brunch... The breakfast was very good, you can do without the warm dishes.. They were not enjoyable at all.. The service was good...

The four of us sat right at the front in the entrance area. It was pretty cold. Service was good and people often asked if everything was OK. I think it's the Henssler name that's being paid here.

We are on November 9th. drove an extra 40 km to eat at Ahoi. Unfortunately there was a note on the door saying it would be closed from 4 p.m. due to an event. I wish this had been on the homepage. So the long journey was in vain and the disappointment was great because we had been looking forward to the food.

An all-round successful visit to the restaurant. I had great expectations and these were largely fulfilled. The food was super tasty, the Henssler style fries were a real treat, fast service, and the price was right. We'll be back!

The food was very tasty, especially the burger with sweet potato fries. However, according to our taste, the atmosphere was a bit 'uncomfortable'. The two of us were seated at a table for 6 and it was generally quite loud. However, it was also a Saturday evening, so you can ignore that.

Unfortunately we had to wait a long time to be able to order. Then we had to wait again for the food, and the icing on the cake was the wait for the bill. Unfortunately, the joy of the whole event is marred by the long waiting time and the overwhelming demands on the staff.

Disastrous service...can't keep up on a normal Sunday, so they had to impose a "hot drink order stop" and simple fries were given a "may take a little longer today". Thanks no, not again.

Great atmosphere, very nice and friendly service. Then another great opportunity to go for a walk by the lake. Class. The dishes are super tasty, of course, a little more expensive, but fair. Clearly recommended. We'll definitely be back.

It was a spontaneous decision to go out to eat on Saturday. And fewer restaurants are open at 3 p.m. than at 5 p.m. We were guided by the name of the friendly owner. The funny thing was: I've been to the adjacent camper parking lot twice, but I didn't notice the Ahoy either time. But: parking space was very good. Also the first impression with the sailing ambience. We sat down at a table by the window where the dishes from the previous customers were still standing. After 5 minutes I put the dishes on the neighboring table. Our table was still partially dirty. Another 5 minutes later the service came and asked for drinks. I mentioned that I had moved the dishes. I didn't explicitly point out that the table needed to be wiped and that we needed cutlery and napkins. I thought the service had this in mind. Unfortunately not... After several attempts at contact, I was able to pass on my information. After about another 5 minutes we had our drinks, a clean table and our cutlery. (Unfortunately the napkin was on the still slightly damp table) At the same time we ordered our food. (2 x SchnitzeLAhoi-style, Fish'n'chips classic and ChickenTeriyaki Bowl. The food arrived on warmed plates within 15 to 20 minutes. My schnitzel was good and the fries were subjectively exquisite. Next time please be less spicy. The second schnitzel and the chicken bowl were also subjectively too spicy. Unfortunately, the reference to the Henssler style was not obvious enough. Not all of the dishes were very well received. (It seemed as if the schnitzel and the fish were frozen goods) Personally I liked it, but I personally still think the cost of the dishes is generally too expensive. But that's my personal opinion 😊 Addendum: the service was nice, but unfortunately not very attentive. The name Henssler was no guarantee of outstanding quality. Nevertheless, I would come back 😊

The food was so unspeakably bad that with your eyes closed you couldn't tell whether you were eating fries or fish. Both tasted like old fat. The first annoyance of the visit: The menu available online contains different dishes than in the Frittenbude. Quote from the service: “We haven't offered this dish for four months. But we have no influence on the website.” A restaurant that has no influence on its own website... The food came almost immediately after ordering. Simply throw the frozen stuff into the deep fryer and serve it up. Even the side salad tasted cheap. And the burgers were boring and also tasteless. The fries were inedible. And the particularly praised Henssler seasoning is simply chili powder. Of course, the wrong food was also delivered, but this was immediately corrected. It was a visit to the restaurant that leaves you stunned. The staff responded to the criticism by suggesting that I could quickly order another meal. Not a word of regret or apology. How can a popular TV chef give up his name for something like this? This experience completely discredits all TV chefs! Oh yes, outside the building: a smell of chip fat, like you know from chip shops at the fair at the end of the fair season. Ahoi is a brutal disappointment where you can't expect to get edible food. If you take that into account, it's quite nice. We'll never go there again. And I'm curious if this review will be deleted again because it doesn't matter.

We were there on Sunday afternoon with 5 adults and a child. The food was very tasty, fresh and great value for money. Dogs are also welcome.

I've been to this location many times. First of all, the location is very nice and the staff is very friendly. The problem was always that there wasn't enough, so it took a long time for our order to be taken. But the kitchen itself also takes too long, even if the restaurant is not full. The food always tasted good, but you don't always want to wait that long. Unfortunately, you also have to wait for drinks alone. Just today we waited 20 minutes for our cola and lemonade... that can't be right. We were also about to cancel these, but unfortunately there was no staff in sight (we were sitting outside)... I would say that there is definitely a need for action!

We were in this restaurant for the first time. It is very nicely located. Right on the lake. So an incredibly beautiful view. The restaurant is also beautifully designed inside and out and offers plenty of space. You feel good. We sat down at a table that hadn't been cleared yet because we wanted to sit by the window. After waiting for a while, we put the used items on a neighboring table ourselves. Some time later our order was taken and after the drinks were brought, we asked for the table to be wiped down because it was sticky in places. This was done, but the table was not dried, so our cutlery and napkin were left in the wet. We ordered 3 different dishes. However, we didn't notice that two of the dishes contained Henssler's special sauce. We really like to eat really spicy food with chili, but that wasn't possible. Pure fire in the mouth. The fries themselves were good, but unfortunately there was this sauce on almost everything. The fish was okay, but nothing special. Likewise the schnitzel. Both seemed like they came from a freezer bag and were then fried. Given the name, we had expected a lot more and find it a shame that, given this location and the great ambience, more emphasis is not placed on service and quality food

We have been here many times and always very satisfied... today an absolute disappointment and drastic deterioration. Everyone's food was just lukewarm, almost cold. Burgers and fries were dry and tasteless. The bowl, on the other hand, was over-seasoned and inedible. A large part of the old menu has been removed... actually, apart from a handful of bowls, there is only fast food, such as burgers, currywurst and fries... There isn't a gluten-free menu, so my mother, who has celiac disease, couldn't eat anything on the menu. Even other ingredients such as sesame and soy sauce, usually gluten-free, contain gluten at Henssler. The kitchen was unable to offer an alternative or conjure up something for an additional charge. It's a disgrace when a shop bears the name of a professional chef!! There was hardly anything going on at lunchtime on weekdays... but the service, although very nice, took forever... for burgers and fries... :-( There were so many flies in the hall, so we asked to move around. I hope that was just a flash in the pan in what is otherwise a really nice shop and great location. We personally didn't recognize this restaurant otherwise in terms of quality and were very disappointed and wouldn't go there again due to the greatly reduced menu, which is really only fast food level (except for drinks, which are good but also very expensive!)... very much too bad!

We went to Ahoi for brunch. Friendly service staff and “normal” range of brunch dishes. What we didn't like: At 12:00 p.m. some of the hot food was no longer available. When we asked, we were told that it could no longer be refilled because everything that was put on the buffet had to be thrown away if it wasn't eaten. That doesn't have to be the case, we're with you, dear Ahoy team. But the brunch runs until 1 p.m. and if there is a need for a missing dish at 12 p.m., it should be possible to serve the guest directly from the kitchen upon request. This means you don't have to throw away anything that was already on the buffet. The atmosphere is very successful and the view over the Hohnsensee is beautiful.

The food doesn't meet my expectations... pressed cardboard schnitzel... fries and burgers of poor quality and for a very high price, you don't have to give up on that. Table was also very sticky.

On our last two visits everything was perfect and tasty, and the portion size was also right. Please keep it up! Previous review: Light and shadow, unfortunately! A great location, idyllic with a view of the lake. We have visited the restaurant several times and the service is very friendly. At first we were really impressed with the food. Since I ate the same thing every time, simply because it was always so delicious, I can easily compare over time. I was really disappointed the last two visits. During one visit, the meat from the Crispy Chicken Burger was lukewarm at best, as if it had been kept warm and not freshly fried. On the last visit the meat was so dry that the breading was a pure crumbly mass. In addition, the roll was very dry and the sauce was only sparsely scraped on and was actually almost non-existent. A very dry affair overall. The portion of sweet potato fries and mayo also gets smaller each time. Please pay a little more attention to the quality and details, otherwise it would be a real shame. You can do it better. Then I would be happy to give an update and more stars.

It's been a long time since I've eaten at Ahoi again. Contrary to many other opinions, the food was very good. The service was very attentive and friendly. After 10 minutes we had our drink and after 25 minutes our food. The restaurant was well filled, the service was confident and attentive. I was asked several times whether everything was OK. Personally, the music was a bit too loud for me, but that's a matter of opinion. In summary, recommended 👍🏻

Were there for the first time today. Great location by the lake. But the expectations were not quite met. The service was not careful. You only received attention when called out. Eat? Was ok. Typical system catering. Expectations were higher, especially since there was a good name behind it. Too bad! But we would come back because of the atmosphere. But then more to have something to drink. A very big deficit: Unfortunately, the men's toilet, which is quite clean, smells similar to a urinated toilet at a motorway service station. Sorry, but unfortunately unacceptable for such a restaurant.

The food was absolutely top! Rump steak and tuna steak to the point of the best quality! Otterndorf was a little better, but magical... It's definitely worth it :-)) Nothing is missing! Update 8/4/24 Unfortunately the menu has shrunk quite a bit. No more steak that was special! Even with the best weather, the restaurant in Hildesheim was less than half full of guests. It's a shame actually, the people sitting next to us at the table were also disappointed with the offer! The staff was again 1a! The guest will ultimately decide whether that's enough... Burgers and fries, even if they're good at Henssler, are available everywhere!

A great location for Hildesheim, a medium location for s Ahoi (there are nicer ones). I find the choice of food to be a bit limited, but the salads are delicious. Unfortunately my favorite salad was taken off the menu. The service has been good in all Ahois so far

I can't understand the negative reviews here. You can think what you want about Mr. Henssler, but the people in this location do a lot of things right. The staff is very nice and extremely committed. Food is above average and completely okay for the price. The surroundings are of course simply brilliant.

Excellent location on the banks of a small lake on the outskirts of Hildesheim. The terrace is inviting with comfortable chairs. We had a late lunch and the service was friendly and attentive. The waitress warned us that the food might take a little longer than normal, but the wait was in no way long. The teriyaki burger was very tasty. If you really like teriyaki sauce, then maybe order an extra portion, but for most people it will be fine. The fish and chips was coley and the chips were nicely prepared. The "Henssler-Style fries " are specialty of the house and come with a pepperoni sauce, red onions and finely sliced chillies - delicious! To finish, the churros with chocolate ice-cream rounded the meal off perfectly. The prices were totally ok for the quality, service, and location. On a warm summer afternoon this is a great place for a relaxed meal, but by cooler weather the indoor seating looked equally inviting. Highly recommended!

Terrible. I've never eaten so badly in my life. The waitress doesn't understand anything and doesn't know what's on the menu. The first currywurst was ice cold. The 2. bone dry. taste of old meat. NEVER AGAIN!!!!9

My husband had a waffle with cherries for €8.90, a hefty price. Then came a small Belgian waffle that you can find in every supermarket (5 pieces for €0.99) with a few cherries from the jar and a dollop of cream. You can't beat the insolence towards the customer.!! I had an iced coffee, the ice cream was just huge chunks of water ice, probably the cheapest ice cream ever. Very, very disappointing. I would be ashamed of my customers for the poor quality at completely overpriced prices.

A little more cleanliness would do the location good. The seat cushions are stained from sauces or????. Paper and rubbish are flying everywhere. Even a great sunset over the lake can't make things better.

Eating according to the modular principle: Everything is designed for efficiency in the kitchen, not for taste. If you are willing to spend a lot of money for average fast food in a nice location, you can go here. If you expect more, you've come to the wrong place.

The view from the terrace is simply a dream. But unfortunately the service is a nightmare. We were there for breakfast and weren't served until we wanted to leave! Even paying was more of a challenge as the waitresses outside apparently didn't know who was responsible.

We just ordered coffee and ice cream. The coffee only came when we asked and was half spilled on the ice and had already thawed a bit. We would have expected a little more and better service. The toilet wasn't particularly inviting either.

We were in Hildesheim or are still in Hildesheim. Ordered drinks, it took a long time and the food took even longer. Tables were sticky. There were lime slices in the Ahoi Calpi and not even them crushed, I only know it with pieces. A drink was completely forgotten and only brought back by memory. After the meal, we didn't ask again whether there was any more drinks or dessert. Otherwise the food was delicious, the ambience was great, but With better trained staff, sales would definitely have been higher.

Actually it was supposed to be a nice end to my 55th birthday... Our order was taken quite quickly, Unfortunately, we noticed when we ordered that the menu had changed a lot and the prices had been raised! According to the motto: less on the plate, more in the till! In addition, the dishes (Teriyaki Chicken Bowl), the usual dips (aioli and truffles) were canceled! The side dishes (avocado) looked very worn out, and the ingredients were generally saved! The coriander that was otherwise present was also missing. We will probably have to go to another location in the near future!!! Regarding your answer: We specifically ordered the dips for our bowels, none of the dips were available according to the waitress! The dips are no longer on your menu either... wonderful restaurant! Beautifully prepared dishes, polite staff. The only downside is that the restaurant has salad and starter dishes with lots of flies crawling on them! All these dishes should be covered with transparent caps, as is the case in all reputable restaurants or other eateries, but access to flies should be restricted.

The Ahoi's main attraction is its great location - the terrace in summer is simply wonderful. We came without a reservation on a Friday evening and got a place for two without any problems. I was very excited about the food - unfortunately it was completely disappointing because it was totally uncreative and boring. Neither the truffle foam, nor the Henssler style, nor the fish and chips and the sushi bowl appealed to us in terms of taste. This is probably also because it is system gastromy. But what we particularly liked was the very attentive service!! The team was always present without seeming intrusive!

Eigentlich sollte es ein schöner Abschluss meines 55. Geburtstag werden… Unsere Bestellung wurde recht zügig aufgenommen, leider mussten wir schon bei der Bestellung feststellen, dass sich die Karte sehr stark verändert hat und die Preise angehoben wurden! Nach dem Motto, weniger auf dem Teller, mehr in der Kasse! Außerdem wurde zu den Gerichten (Teriyaki Chicken Bowl), die sonst üblichen Dips (Aioli und Trüffel) gestrichen! Die Beilagen (Avocado) sahen schon sehr mitgenommen aus, generell wurden an den Zutaten gespart! Der sonst vorhandene Koriander fehlte auch, hier kann ich nur feststellen, dass wir uns als Stammgäste übervorteilt fühlen! Die Krönung des Ganzen war dann noch, dass nicht servierte Essen für meine Frau, nach 15 Minuten wurde dann auch noch das falsche Essen uns vor die Nase gesetzt! Nach weiteren 15 Minuten wurde dann das richtige Essen serviert! Meine Frau konnte dann alleine Essen und wir schauten zu…!!! Eine kleine Wiedergutmachung hätte vieles verziehen…!!! Auch hier Fehlanzeige… Vielen Dank an das Ahoi für diesen grandiosen Abschluss meines Geburtstags! Wir werden in nächster Zeit wohl eine andere Lokalität aufsuchen müssen!!!

The price development here is really exaggerated and simply unacceptable! Why did you increase your prices again by €2-3? Do you think us customers are stupid? It was understandable that prices were raised after the 19% regulation, but why now? How can it be justified that a chicken burger costs €17.50 or a beef burger costs €19.50 - and that WITHOUT a side dish? That means just bread, patty and salad. I'm at a loss for words... this treatment of the guests is simply disrespectful.

Were now in Ahoi for the second time, the food is very tasty, the homemade lemonades are very tasty, as are the desserts. The view of the lake from the terrace is great. Would love to come back.

The service today was full for A…. And a disrespect towards me and my wife, even though my wife is pregnant, we asked outside to give us cushions for the chairs, the young lady said that wasn't possible but 15 minutes later 2 people came who asked for 2 cushions for the chairs and immediately got 2 cushions So we got service for the chairs and it was discriminatory on top of that 👎🏽

A cozy place to stay after a tour of the lake. Some of the outdoor spaces are in the shade, a few are sunny. The food is good, a bit more expensive but very tasty, the staff is a bit overwhelmed, but otherwise nice and friendly.

The food is okay, I was a little disappointed. The currywurst had gristly parts...my expectations were probably too high. The Aperol should be renamed Wasserol, a good quarter of the glass consisted of ice (I didn't let it thaw in the drink) and the color of the drink when it was served was like that of a diluted Rosee. It's actually a shame for the great location and the dedicated staff.

Great food but long waiting time

The service is a complete disaster. The only thing that draws you there is the ambience. Homemade lemonade doesn't taste good and is completely carelessly prepared. Long waiting times are not uncommon and friendliness is not very important either. Service is totally incompetent and does not respond to guests' requests. You can be lucky if you are served at all.

In contrast to the restaurant in Scharbeutz, the experience here was unfortunately downright subterranean: - the table was placed in such a way that one chair out of two inevitably tipped permanently - the table stuck - if you looked a little closer, you could see dust and dirt everywhere - the toilets were more than just dirty - absolutely inattentive service The “highlight”, however, is the processing of our order. First of all, we had to wait quite a long time (about 10 minutes) until our order was taken. That's why we ordered drinks, starters and main courses straight away. In general, the waiting times were disproportionately long. The “best thing” was that my starter was brought to my companion along with the main course. When my starter and main course had been eaten, it took a full 20 minutes before someone had the idea to clear away the unnecessary dishes. By the way, my drink had also been empty for a long time. The second drink was also almost empty when my main course was brought. I couldn't enjoy my burger. On the one hand, as already mentioned, my companion had already finished eating for a long time and on the other hand, the bun of my burger was impossible to cut open. The bottom was thinner than the forks. Apart from the fact that I couldn't even pick up the bottom with a fork, I basically had a 4cm burger bun in my mouth. In the end there was nothing more than a “sorry.” From what I understand, given this number of errors, at least it would have been appropriate to take over the second drink. All in all, an evening that we would have happily missed. Conclusion: some jobs require a little more than just good looks...

A dream wedding location 🩵 Thank you dear Christina, that you accompanied us so beautifully throughout the day The Seeglück folder had such great menus but we opted for the grill buffet and it was perfect. Everything was so incredibly tasty and it was well received by the guests. You also made everything possible with the drinks, even those that were no longer on the menu. Such a great and attentive team to whom we are very grateful. They staged our decoration so perfectly that everything harmonized so perfectly. The location was of course a dream and the weather was great too. Everything around us felt so good and it was so familiar. Thank you dear Ahoy for everything 🩵⚓

A wheat order was lukewarm. Many guests were not in the restaurant, so any cold wheat could hardly be sold out. When I asked, it was explained to me that there was no cold wheat. This condition is said to occur more frequently.

Bedienung extrem unprofessionel, das falsche wird nach ewig langer Wartezeit serviert, dreckiges Geschirr auf Nebentischen 2 Stunden stehengelassen und zeitgleich schnattern 4 Mitarbeiter sehr angeregt über Privates.

The cold buffet is completely fine, I find the warm buffet totally boring. Without taste and loveless. I was very disappointed, the staff was friendly and tried very hard.

It is incomprehensible to me that Stefan Henssler would lend his name to this restaurant. There are only young, untrained people in the service, nobody sees through. There were four of us there and everything went wrong. For this food, the prices are overpriced. I've never eaten so badly, I'm very disappointed. It was supposed to be a nice evening, but apart from an expensive bill, it didn't work out.

The store lives from its name and location. Nothing special, totally overpriced.

Had a delicious meal here with friends and was pampered by a very nice and friendly staff. Gladly again. For all “landlubbers”: highly recommended, with a great ambience and sunset on the lake 😘

The service was very good. The atmosphere is also very nice. However, you pay €20 for a burger with frozen fries and that's outrageous. The food leaves a lot to be desired for the price.

Unfortunately we can't say anything about the food because we sat for 15 minutes and no waitress took our order until then. So we left very disappointed. There will be no new visit. 1 star because otherwise it wouldn't be possible to post, for us it's usually 0 stars.

For the first time and never again, salad with chicken skewers €14.50 that's awesome, the salad is tiny, 4 slices of cucumber, 6 halves, 3 whole cherry tomatoes, a few sticky cranberries from the bag, a few kind of chips and the joke. .....2 ready-made chicken skewers warmed up from the frozen bag 🙈 the franchisee should be ashamed of selling something like that. I note that I have been a trained chef for over 30 years. Been there once.

€9.50 for the portion size of spaghetti ice cream is way overpriced. The fresh strawberries turned out to be a let's say fresh strawberry cut into quarters. Service friendly
