The atmosphere was very nice but we had to wait a long time for service... When eating it you can say it was okay, but I would recommend serving the oil and vinegar dressing separately with a salad, as there was way too much vinegar used in my salad for my taste.

A great location for Hildesheim, a medium location for s Ahoi (there are nicer ones). I find the choice of food to be a bit limited, but the salads are delicious. Unfortunately my favorite salad was taken off the menu. The service has been good in all Ahois so far

I can't understand the negative reviews here. You can think what you want about Mr. Henssler, but the people in this location do a lot of things right. The staff is very nice and extremely committed. Food is above average and completely okay for the price. The surroundings are of course simply brilliant.

Excellent location on the banks of a small lake on the outskirts of Hildesheim. The terrace is inviting with comfortable chairs. We had a late lunch and the service was friendly and attentive. The waitress warned us that the food might take a little longer than normal, but the wait was in no way long. The teriyaki burger was very tasty. If you really like teriyaki sauce, then maybe order an extra portion, but for most people it will be fine. The fish and chips was coley and the chips were nicely prepared. The "Henssler-Style fries " are specialty of the house and come with a pepperoni sauce, red onions and finely sliced chillies - delicious! To finish, the churros with chocolate ice-cream rounded the meal off perfectly. The prices were totally ok for the quality, service, and location. On a warm summer afternoon this is a great place for a relaxed meal, but by cooler weather the indoor seating looked equally inviting. Highly recommended!

Terrible. I've never eaten so badly in my life. The waitress doesn't understand anything and doesn't know what's on the menu. The first currywurst was ice cold. The 2. bone dry. taste of old meat. NEVER AGAIN!!!!9

My husband had a waffle with cherries for €8.90, a hefty price. Then came a small Belgian waffle that you can find in every supermarket (5 pieces for €0.99) with a few cherries from the jar and a dollop of cream. You can't beat the insolence towards the customer.!! I had an iced coffee, the ice cream was just huge chunks of water ice, probably the cheapest ice cream ever. Very, very disappointing. I would be ashamed of my customers for the poor quality at completely overpriced prices.

A little more cleanliness would do the location good. The seat cushions are stained from sauces or????. Paper and rubbish are flying everywhere. Even a great sunset over the lake can't make things better.

Eating according to the modular principle: Everything is designed for efficiency in the kitchen, not for taste. If you are willing to spend a lot of money for average fast food in a nice location, you can go here. If you expect more, you've come to the wrong place.

We just ordered coffee and ice cream. The coffee only came when we asked and was half spilled on the ice and had already thawed a bit. We would have expected a little more and better service. The toilet wasn't particularly inviting either.

The food was absolutely top! Rump steak and tuna steak to the point of the best quality! Otterndorf was a little better, but magical... It's definitely worth it :-)) Nothing is missing! Update 8/4/24 Unfortunately the menu has shrunk quite a bit. No more steak that was special! Even with the best weather, the restaurant in Hildesheim was less than half full of guests. It's a shame actually, the people sitting next to us at the table were also disappointed with the offer! The staff was again 1a! The guest will ultimately decide whether that's enough... Burgers and fries, even if they're good at Henssler, are available everywhere!

I was very disappointed that what I had left was taken off the menu! No consideration is given to intolerances, everything is greasy and unhealthy and expensive. I won't be coming back, it's just all too far-fetched.

We were in Hildesheim or are still in Hildesheim. Ordered drinks, it took a long time and the food took even longer. Drinks were ok but you had to ask again, we waited for over an hour, that's not possible. Special requests weren't addressed at all or don't exist Then the wrong drink came. Starter was also canceled. Staff completely annoyed. We thought it was great the first time but disappointing today.

No trained staff, because drinks were not accepted in advance, but with the food, no interest was shown in sales, for example with fries? Ketchup/mayo? You ask something like that! Tables were sticky. There were lime slices in the Ahoi Calpi and not even them crushed, I only know it with pieces. A drink was completely forgotten and only brought back by memory. After the meal, we didn't ask again whether there was any more drinks or dessert. Otherwise the food was delicious, the ambience was great, but With better trained staff, sales would definitely have been higher.

Actually it was supposed to be a nice end to my 55th birthday... Our order was taken quite quickly, Unfortunately, we noticed when we ordered that the menu had changed a lot and the prices had been raised! According to the motto: less on the plate, more in the till! In addition, the dishes (Teriyaki Chicken Bowl), the usual dips (aioli and truffles) were canceled! wonderful restaurant! Beautifully prepared dishes, polite staff. The only downside is that the restaurant has salad and starter dishes with lots of flies crawling on them! All these dishes should be covered with transparent caps, as is the case in all reputable restaurants or other eateries, but access to flies should be restricted.

The Ahoi's main attraction is its great location - the terrace in summer is simply wonderful. We came without a reservation on a Friday evening and got a place for two without any problems. I was very excited about the food - unfortunately it was completely disappointing because it was totally uncreative and boring. Neither the truffle foam, nor the Henssler style, nor the fish and chips and the sushi bowl appealed to us in terms of taste. This is probably also because it is system gastromy. But what we particularly liked was the very attentive service!! The team was always present without seeming intrusive!

Light and shadow, unfortunately! A great location, idyllic with a view of the lake. We have visited the restaurant several times and the service is very friendly. At first we were really impressed with the food. Since I ate the same thing every time, simply because it was always so delicious, I can easily compare over time. I was really disappointed the last two visits. During one visit, the meat from the Crispy Chicken Burger was lukewarm at best, as if it had been kept warm and not freshly fried. On the last visit the meat was so dry that the breading was a pure crumbly mass. In addition, the roll was very dry and the sauce was only sparsely scraped on and was actually almost non-existent. A very dry affair overall. The portion of sweet potato fries and mayo also gets smaller each time. Please pay a little more attention to the quality and details, otherwise it would be a real shame. You can do it better. Then I would be happy to give an update and more stars.

Eigentlich sollte es ein schöner Abschluss meines 55. Geburtstag werden… Unsere Bestellung wurde recht zügig aufgenommen, leider mussten wir schon bei der Bestellung feststellen, dass sich die Karte sehr stark verändert hat und die Preise angehoben wurden! Nach dem Motto, weniger auf dem Teller, mehr in der Kasse! Außerdem wurde zu den Gerichten (Teriyaki Chicken Bowl), die sonst üblichen Dips (Aioli und Trüffel) gestrichen! Die Beilagen (Avocado) sahen schon sehr mitgenommen aus, generell wurden an den Zutaten gespart! Der sonst vorhandene Koriander fehlte auch, hier kann ich nur feststellen, dass wir uns als Stammgäste übervorteilt fühlen! Die Krönung des Ganzen war dann noch, dass nicht servierte Essen für meine Frau, nach 15 Minuten wurde dann auch noch das falsche Essen uns vor die Nase gesetzt! Nach weiteren 15 Minuten wurde dann das richtige Essen serviert! Meine Frau konnte dann alleine Essen und wir schauten zu…!!! Eine kleine Wiedergutmachung hätte vieles verziehen…!!! Auch hier Fehlanzeige… Vielen Dank an das Ahoi für diesen grandiosen Abschluss meines Geburtstags! Wir werden in nächster Zeit wohl eine andere Lokalität aufsuchen müssen!!!

The price development here is really exaggerated and simply unacceptable! Why did you increase your prices again by €2-3? Do you think us customers are stupid? It was understandable that prices were raised after the 19% regulation, but why now? How can it be justified that a chicken burger costs €17.50 or a beef burger costs €19.50 - and that WITHOUT a side dish? That means just bread, patty and salad. I'm at a loss for words... this treatment of the guests is simply disrespectful.

Were now in Ahoi for the second time, the food is very tasty, the homemade lemonades are very tasty, as are the desserts. The view of the lake from the terrace is great. Would love to come back.

And a disrespect towards me and my wife, even though my wife is pregnant, we asked outside to give us cushions for the chairs, the young lady said that wasn't possible but 15 minutes later 2 people came who asked for 2 cushions for the chairs and immediately got 2 cushions So we got service for the chairs and it was discriminatory on top of that 👎🏽

A cozy place to stay after a tour of the lake. Some of the outdoor spaces are in the shade, a few are sunny. The food is good, a bit more expensive but very tasty, the staff is a bit overwhelmed, but otherwise nice and friendly.

The food is okay, I was a little disappointed. The currywurst had gristly parts...my expectations were probably too high. The Aperol should be renamed Wasserol, a good quarter of the glass consisted of ice (I didn't let it thaw in the drink) and the color of the drink when it was served was like that of a diluted Rosee. It's actually a shame for the great location and the dedicated staff.

The service is a complete disaster. The only thing that draws you there is the ambience. Homemade lemonade doesn't taste good and is completely carelessly prepared. In contrast to the restaurant in Scharbeutz, the experience here was unfortunately downright subterranean: - the table was placed in such a way that one chair out of two inevitably tipped permanently - the table stuck - if you looked a little closer, you could see dust and dirt everywhere - the toilets were more than just dirty - absolutely inattentive service The “highlight”, however, is the processing of our order. First of all, we had to wait quite a long time (about 10 minutes) until our order was taken. That's why we ordered drinks, starters and main courses straight away. In general, the waiting times were disproportionately long. The “best thing” was that my starter was brought to my companion along with the main course. When my starter and main course had been eaten, it took a full 20 minutes before someone had the idea to clear away the unnecessary dishes. By the way, my drink had also been empty for a long time. The second drink was also almost empty when my main course was brought. I couldn't enjoy my burger. On the one hand, as already mentioned, my companion had already finished eating for a long time and on the other hand, the bun of my burger was impossible to cut open. The bottom was thinner than the forks. Apart from the fact that I couldn't even pick up the bottom with a fork, I basically had a 4cm burger bun in my mouth. In the end there was nothing more than a “sorry.” From what I understand, given this number of errors, at least it would have been appropriate to take over the second drink. All in all, an evening that we would have happily missed. Conclusion: some jobs require a little more than just good looks...

A dream wedding location 🩵 Thank you dear Christina, that you accompanied us so beautifully throughout the day The Seeglück folder had such great menus but we opted for the grill buffet and it was perfect. Everything was so incredibly tasty and it was well received by the guests. You also made everything possible with the drinks, even those that were no longer on the menu. Such a great and attentive team to whom we are very grateful. They staged our decoration so perfectly that everything harmonized so perfectly. The location was of course a dream and the weather was great too. Everything around us felt so good and it was so familiar. Thank you dear Ahoy for everything 🩵⚓

A wheat order was lukewarm. Many guests were not in the restaurant, so any cold wheat could hardly be sold out. When I asked, it was explained to me that there was no cold wheat. This condition is said to occur more frequently.

The cold buffet is completely fine, I find the warm buffet totally boring. Without taste and loveless. I was very disappointed, the staff was friendly and tried very hard.

For the first time and never again, salad with chicken skewers €14.50 that's awesome, the salad is tiny, 4 slices of cucumber, 6 halves, 3 whole cherry tomatoes, a few sticky cranberries from the bag, a few kind of chips and the joke. .....2 ready-made chicken skewers warmed up from the frozen bag 🙈 the franchisee should be ashamed of selling something like that. I note that I have been a trained chef for over 30 years. Been there once.

If you only want to read a short assessment, see the conclusion below. We were at Ahoi in Hildesheim for the second time on May 17th, 2024. The beautiful lakeside location, the view of the countryside and the harmonious furnishings leave nothing to be desired when it comes to ambience. We had reserved online a good 2 weeks in advance and said so when we arrived at the restaurant. However, there were no reserved tables and we were told we could sit wherever we wanted. The fact that we had expressed a seating request when making the reservation was obviously completely ignored. But we found a table that largely met our wishes. Then nothing happens for a good 15 minutes. There were a relatively large number of service staff on site who obviously had different tasks but seemed to be walking around in a very disorganized manner. No one from the service actively came to us to take the order, we had to make ourselves known before we could order. We then ordered food and drinks together. The wait for the appetizers was reasonable, but the wait for the drinks was not. These didn't arrive until we were almost finished with the starter. The young lady who brought us the drinks was obviously with her head somewhere else, not unfriendly in that way but not a good day, bon appetit, actually no communication at all. It's generally good if the main course is only served after the starter, but if it takes 25 minutes until it is cleared away after the starter and then you have to wait another 20 minutes for the main course, over 45 minutes between the starter and the main course is simply too long . To eat: Unfortunately, the carpaccio was served covered in sauce. Despite the express wish not to use the coriander (there are people for whom coriander tastes like soap), it was still on the plate and fortunately it was so large that it could be sorted out. The beef is frozen, unfortunately it tastes a bit watery and the flavor is masked by the marinade. The side salad was good but unfortunately the cucumbers weren't crunchy. The main course for our daughter was great, fish fillet with fries. The teriyaki burger and the vegetarian burger are okay, but unfortunately the meat was a little overcooked. The coriander was also canceled with the fries, unfortunately that didn't work either. So sort again. If you put price and performance in relation to the quality of the food, then unfortunately it doesn't fit. Conclusion: The service seems disorganized, is nice but slow and inattentive. The waiting times are too long, especially because the restaurant was only about 1/3 full. The food is system catering, requests for changes are accepted but unfortunately not implemented. We work with frozen products, not everything is fresh. In principle, that would be fine for the concept, but the prices don't match it, and the quality and taste of the food are disproportionate to the price. We have been there several times and have always been thrilled. However, we had always eaten there for lunch or dinner. Now we wanted to treat ourselves to a nice Sunday brunch/breakfast on the occasion of our wedding anniversary. I also stated the reason in the online reservation because there was a special field for it. We weren't expecting anything spectacular, but if you offer the opportunity to specify the occasion when making the reservation, it would be nice if the table was perhaps prepared a little accordingly. And if there are just a few flowers on the table, as I said, it doesn't have to be anything big or expensive, just the gesture. Then it continued. We were kindly escorted to the table and explained to us how the brunch buffet works. The next shock came straight away... We were there at 9 a.m. and the lady explained to us that the warm dishes would only be served from 10:30 a.m. So if I have to pay the same at 9 a.m. as I did at 10:30 a.m., then I think I can expect to get the same quality and selection! Otherwise there would have to be a lower price before 10.30am. We found it a bit of a shame that both the rolls and the pretzel sticks were very large. It sounds strange at first... very big... but when I eat at a delicious buffet, I want to try a lot of different things and much smaller rolls etc. would be better. So you were now forced to eat one or two different baked goods, just like at home on a normal Sunday breakfast, and then you were already full and couldn't even try the other baked goods because you didn't want to throw anything away and you always obediently ate everything you put on your plate. Overall, the selection of food was very good and also very tasty. I would have liked to have avoided this review, but unfortunately we weren't even asked, as is usual in other restaurants, whether everything was OK. Otherwise I would have honestly expressed my opinion. So now I have to do this here. A pity. Conclusion: a clear recommendation for burgers and salmon bowls, but not recommended for Sunday brunch, especially on a special occasion. P.S. Regarding the atmosphere, I have to say that at times we felt like we were at the train station, as the guests were constantly running back and forth to the left and right of us. Not a nice wedding day atmosphere. Here I would have liked a table a little away or at least on the edge so that people only walk past on one side.

Just because Steffen Henssler is on it doesn't mean anything. On TV he always talks about bubbles in the breading when eating schnitzel. The quality of the Ahoi Schnitzel is just ok. But the fries that came with it were great. The service was attentive and friendly, but you can already notice the pressure that exists. All in one a normal, good system catering. Don't expect highlights.

Had a delightful brunch experience at this restaurant! The food is fresh with a great variety to choose from, and the prices are reasonable for the quality offered. Plus, the picturesque view from the café adds an extra touch of charm to the experience.

Good food, a bit pricey. Very friendly staff and very clean, welcoming atmosphere, although a bit noisy at peak times, but that's to be expected. Unfortunately, there are often very few free seats inside, especially in bad weather, people pile up inside rather than sit.

Nie wieder. Schnitzel so dünn ,wie Zeitung und Geschmack nach Chili. Pommes ungenießbar, Chili pur. Sehr scharf, hatte nichts mit Pommes zu tun.

This Sunday I visited their store with my friend and her daughter. Today it was an absolute disappointment. We decided to sit outside on the terrace. When we asked whether we could get seat cushions, there was only a curt answer that this was not possible due to the weather. The waiting time also left a lot to be desired. The burger was fried to death and far dry. The schnitzel was also one Absolute catastrophe (frozen schnitzel, far too small and clearly too dry, that couldn't save the lemon and cranberries either. The last two visits were much better but today was a complete disappointment. Last but not least, the service staff: a middle-aged lady with shaved hair and a dark braid. Hard to beat in terms of unfriendliness. You never felt comfortable with this service staff. And we weren't really taken into consideration. We definitely won't be visiting Ahoi again in the future.

The "iced" coffee I ordered contained almost half of the glass of cream. Not a scoop of ice cream. Instead frozen water (ice crystals) The veal currywurst we ordered was of noticeably poor quality and was covered with spices and sauce. This also resulted in subsequent complaints, including from another guest. Two orders that we at Ahoy cannot recommend.

I can't understand all the good reviews here... OK, the location by the lake is very nice, but somehow I'm here to eat and ride - and that's exactly where the problems begin: - A team that is far too small plays in a restaurant that is far too large. We really felt sorry for the employees - they ran for their lives, still dealt with the frustration of the guests and - at least at the beginning of the evening - still managed to be relatively nice. Later the tone became SIGNIFICANTLY rougher, so that the guest also heard the discussions - which shouldn't be the case. - Ordering drinks & food took 15 minutes after we somehow got the stuck card off the sticky tables (supposedly the material??) - Then the waiting began. Our drink order (3 drinks) took a full 20 minutes.....the 2 employees behind the counter are clearly not enough. - The starter came after 1 hour - Tuna Sashime, drowned in Ponzu butter. Because of all the ponzu (whatever that is), the tuna, which was actually well fried, was completely lost - The main course took another 30 minutes and was essentially inedible: the chicken teriaki bowl was hopelessly over-seasoned, the burger was OK, but the fries that came with it were drowned in sauce again "Henssler" style and my plaice from the special menu (supposedly crispy on the... Skin fried) was watery on the inside and super greasy on the outside - probably frozen from the deep fryer. The biggest joke was the "velvety potato salad" which very obviously came from the 10L Metro bucket or something. - In the meantime, additional drink orders were forgotten and we ultimately only got them upon request. - To round off the evening, we, like several other customers, had to wait less than 15 minutes to pay because there is only one card reader..... All in all, a lost evening that we definitely will NOT repeat. To the team's credit, our complaint was taken seriously after the usual question about what it was like and we ultimately didn't have to pay for the skin dishes - it ultimately doesn't save the evening, but at least it wasn't an expensive one " and "bad" experience..... It is a mystery to us how there can be such extreme deviations in quality in system catering - in any case, the AHOI in Hamburg (next to Mönckebergstrasse) was SIGNIFICANTLY better. It's a shame about the very dedicated service team, who are mercilessly burned out here. delivery

Everyone enjoyed it very much, nice modern atmosphere and reasonable prices! And a very nice staff. I can only recommend it to everyone!

Because it's called Henssler, it doesn't mean it's good... the service is absolutely overwhelmed, the food comes cold, it was corrected, but you then wait another half to 3/4 hour for a simple dish like a burger and fries where that The restaurant is currently 60 percent full and that's really not possible... Food was swapped by the service, the ambience is really great. I think the terrace is a little highlight in the summer... but it seems to me that cookbooks or spices are advertised more than the quality to the guest which is a bit of a shame.. we weren't convinced for a second visit. The first time there was great. Unfortunately today was pretty disappointing. One soda (lime-passion fruit) tasted good, the second (grapefruit-orange) was unfortunately just watery and almost tasteless. When I was told before ordering that I was a bit hungry, I was still recommended the corn-fed chicken. 22 euros is really cheeky for the size (a small piece of chicken, half a potato and 4 stalks of asparagus). In my opinion, this size doesn't even fall under the heading of "main course". For the burger, the cheaper and normal fries version with ketchup and mayonnaise was chosen due to the spiciness of the Henssler Style version. This was not simply exchanged, but charged directly with an extra 2 euros. Both meals tasted very good, but the price was too high and the portions were too small. It's a shame, we won't be coming back for a while.

Das erste Mal dort war Top. Heute war es leider ziemlich enttäuschend. Eine Limo( Limette-Maracuja) hat gut geschmeckt, die zweite (Grapefruit-Organge) war leider einfach nur wässrig und fast ohne Geschmack. Auf Hinweis vor der Bestellung, dass ich etwas größeren Hunger habe, wurde mir dennoch das Maishähnchen empfohlen. 22 Euro ist hier für die Größe echt frech (ein kleines Stück Hähnchen, eine halbe Kartoffel und 4 stangen Spargel). Meiner Meinung nach fällt diese Größe nicht einmal unter die Rubrik "Hauptgericht". Beim Burger wurde bei den Pommes aufgrund der Schärfe bei der Variante Henssler Style extra die günstigere und normale Pommesvariante mit Ketchup und Majo gewählt. Auch dies wurde nicht einfach getauscht, sondern direkt mit 2 Euro extra berechnet. Geschmacklich waren beide Essen sehr gut, preislich aber zu überzogen, bzw die Potionen zu klein. Schade, wir kommen erst einmal nicht wieder.
