Hier wird mit Leidenschaft gekocht und das merkt man auch! 😍 Bodenständige, traditionelle Küche mit viel saisonaler Abwechslung. Zusätzlich kann das Agathes auch die DZG Zertifizierung nachweisen, ein Paradies für Zölis. Hier fühlt man sich einfach wohl. 😊

Ich habe die Webseite aufgemacht und einen Tisch bestellt . Nirgendwo wurde gesagt , dass das Essen gluteenfrei ist. Wir waren zu dritt und haben uns regelrecht geekelt von dem Schnitzel , ganz davon abgesehen, dass ich Durchfall und mich auch übergeben habe . Selbst die Soße war krisselig und ganz eklig und das Brot , was da serviert wird , war das Allerletzte .

Wir waren heute dort und wollten was richtig leckeres nach der Fahrradtour essen. Leider Fehlanzeige. Das Dressing von dem Salatteller hatte einen ganz merkwürdigen Geschmack. Wir hatten 2 Pulled Beef Burger vom Rumpsteak. Leider war hier das Fleisch total trocken. Dann hatten wir noch einen Veggie Burger. Hier war das Innere noch gefroren. Sowas geht garnicht. Daher nur 1 Stern. Wir können es leider nicht empfehlen.

Wir heute waren mit dem Fahrrad unterwegs und dachten in Walluf würden wir sicherlich auch was gutes finden und müssen nicht bis nach Eltville fahren und haben dieses Restaurant mit 4,8 Sternen entdeckt. Aber soviel vorweg, heute wurden sie nicht abgeliefert. Ob es eine neue Aushilfe in der Küche war, Krankheitsbedingt oder woanders das Fachgebiet liegt. Wir waren 4 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder. Angefangen hat es mit dem grünen Salat, meiner Frau und Schwiegermutter hat er nicht geschmeckt und hat seltsam geschmeckt. Mein Schwiegervater hat seinen Salat daraufhin abbestellt. Pulled Beef Burger, war sehr trocken und das Fleisch hat geschmeckt wie Omas Sauerbraten von vor 2 Tagen. Bacon hat die Pfanne auch nicht mal gesehen, der war weich. Mein vegetarischer Burger, war innen drinnen eiskalt. Man wollte mir einen neuen anfertigen - das habe ich dankend abgelehnt und das erste Mal in meinem Leben ein Essen zurückgegehen lassen. Schade.

Sehr gemütliche Gaststätte mit leckerer Hausmannskost sowie vegetarischer und veganer Küche. Das Team ist unfassbar freundlich und erfüllt jeden Wunsch. Das Ambiente ist 'wie früher', ohne 'fancy Schnick-Schnack'. Sehr erholsam.

Sowohl Aperitifs (Minzbowle und Rhabarberspritz?) als auch Hauptspeisen (Hacksteak und Pulled Beef Burger) waren leider wirklich außergewöhnlich schlecht. Außerdem mussten wir anderthalb Stunden aufs Essen warten, weil man uns offensichtlich vergessen hatte.

Das Agathes ist echt ein Highlight für alle Menschen, die Darmprobleme haben! So ein leckeres - und glutenfreies - Essen kannte ich bislang nicht! Vielen Dank dafür, wir kommen jetzt öfters!

ja so geht Rheingau! eine urige Gaststätte - ausgerichtet auf glutenfreie Küche - und das wird mit Herzblut beherrscht...Selbst ein glutenfreies Schnitzel (memo Panade halt...) wird hier vernünftig gemacht. Vorbildlich ist die Speisekarte mit der Erklärung zum glutenfreien Angebot und dem Verzeichnis der Lieferanten! Unser Essen vom Schnitzel über Rinderleber und einer Haspel nebst Beilagen war in angemessener Zeit serviert und überzeugte geschmacklich. Für jene die unbedingt Gluten futtern müssen gibt es auch ein Angebot... Wenn die Gaststätte voll ist - kann es bei den kleinen Räumen schon mal etwas laut sein - das ist aber von den Räumlichkeiten nicht zu vermeiden. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt - und kommen wieder!

Sehr zufrieden. Tolles Personal, sehr Rücksichtsvoll. Zöliakie friendly. Sehr guten Eindruck alles und sehr erfreut diese tolle Entdeckung gemacht zu haben!

Wir wurden von einem sehr aufmerksamen, netten, sympathischen jungen Mann bedient. Das essen war sehr lecker. Sollten wir wieder mal in der Nähe sein, ist dieses Restaurant bei uns abgespeichert. Wir empfehlen es sehr gerne weiter

Sehr lecker und sehr freundlich! Aber gerade weil man hier auch bei Zöliakie essen gehen kann, wäre ein glutenfreies Bier noch sehr schön. :)

Leider wurde meine Rezession, die deutlich besser war als diese hier, gelöscht. Schade. Essen finden wir gut. Die Aktionen ebenso und das Ambiente im Sommer ist traumhaft. Einmal war das Gulasch verwürzt. Viel zu stark gewürzt, sodass es schwer war, es zu genießen. Sei verziehen. Wir haben von Kritik abgesehen, weil wir ein hohes Toleranz Bewusstsein haben und ortsansässige lokale weiterhin unterstützen möchten und es sonst sehr lecker ist. Kritik hatten wir zuvor an den glutenfreien Nachspeisen, die in Plastik verpackt und serviert werden, geäußert. Geschmack ist gut (ist ja auch verpackt und soweit in Ordnung.) Aber die Art des servierens ist ünerdenkbar. Die Freundlichkeit des Teams ist brillant. Die der Chefin lässt ab und an unserem Eindruck nach zu wünschen übrig. Wir beobachten dies noch eine Weile und entscheiden dann, was wir tun. (Das hatte ich zuvor weggelassen. Allerdings ärgere ich mich darüber, dass meine Rezession gelöscht wurde. Zudem ist es eine ehrliche Rezession). Preis Leistung ist super.

Wir sind am Wochenende zu viert bei Agathes eingekehrt. Es empfiehlt sich für das Wochenende frühzeitig einen Tisch zu reservieren. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam, fix und freundlich. Die Speisekarte liest sich abwechslungsreich und lecker. So war die Vorfreude auf das Essen dementsprechend und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Wir hatten die Wildfrikadelle, das kleine Rumpsteak und 2 x Haxe. Alle vier Gerichte waren hervorragend, selten eine so gute Haxe mit offensichtlich selbstgemachten Sauerkraut und Kartoffelstampf gegessen. Die Weinauswahl ist gut, hervorzuheben ist, dass man auf der Getränkekarte sieht von welchem Winzer der Wein bezogen wird. Fazit: Wir hatten einen entspannten Abend in schöne Atmosphäre bei gutem Essen und Getränken. Danke an Agathe & ihr Team. Wir kommen wieder.....

Sehr schön eingerichtetes Restaurant mit viel Auswahl für Vegetarier und Veganer. Der Magic Burger aus pulled Champions war sehr lecker.

Bratkartoffeln mit Speck und Zwiebeln, so gehört sich das, Hacksteak war ok, Preise sind etwas zu hoch....

Der Rheingau verbindet eine wunderschöne Landschaft mit Weinbergen, die erstklassige Weine, allen voran Rieslinge und Spätburgunder hervorbringen und natürlich gemütliche Gutsschänken, Strausswirtschaften und ausgezeichnete Restaurants. Hier kann man die regionale Küche in ihrer ganzen Vielfalt erleben. Mal einfach und rustikal, mal gehobene Restaurants. Das „Agathes“ in Walluf war leider eine absolute Enttäuschung. Wir haben fast alles (3 Gerichte) komplett zurückgehen lassen, haben gebeten, die Küche zu informieren und ein Gericht zur Nachbesserung nochmal in die Küche gegeben. Hat aber auch nichts verbessert. Ich hatte ein Schnitzel, das nie eine Pfanne gesehen hat, sondern im Convectomat erwärmt wurde. Hat mir der Mitarbeiter auch bestätigt. Der Burger war ungenießbar. Der nette Servicemitarbeiter zuckte mit den Schultern. Die Küche hat nicht reagiert. Keine Entschuldigung, keine Erklärung, kein Bedauern. Ich habe beim Gehen gesagt, dass wir sicher nie wieder kommen. Das Schlimmste war, dass es hier keinen interessiert hat. Sehr schade.

Waren heute Abend mit Freunden bei Agathes zum Essen...Wir wussten gar nicht was es im Rheingau für tolle Restaurants gibt...Wir hatten uns fürs Wildgulasch mit Knödel entschieden...Es war sehr lecker😋😋😋😋...Das Ambiente war sehr schön und die Bedienung,,, die hier von jungen Herren übernommen wird,,,,war außerordentlich freundlich..Preis Leistung ist in Ordnung....Wir werden gerne wieder bei Agathe einkehren...

Leider war die Gänskeule viel zu trocken, würde ich nicht empfehlen. Sonst gemütliches Lokal mit netter Bedienung.

Bei uns'rer Walluf - Weingut- Tour - waren wir pünktlich ,17.00 Uhr, bei Agathe hier gewesen, haben zu viert am Tisch gesessen und wollten mal 'ne Ente essen. Doch bei Senioren ist das schwierig, man ist im Alter nicht so gierig , dass man könnte, auch als Hessen , eine ganze Ente essen . So haben wir uns damit begnügt, dass eine Halbe auch genügt. Die hat geschmeckt , ganz ohne Frage , sowas gibt's nicht alle Tage. Sogar die Freunde, von " de annern Seit' " ,die nahmen sich heut' mal die Zeit, den Wallufer Wein hier zu probieren, den Abend nett zu zelebrieren. Das hat geklappt, es gefiel uns total, wir kommen gerne wieder mal.

Uriges Restaurant mit glutenfreien Speisen. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und die Portionen ausreichend. Achtung bei Besuch mit Kindern: alle Soßen enthalten Wein. Es wird damit geworben, dass dieser bereits verkocht ist, ich habe den Wein dennoch im Essen gerochen und geschmeckt.

A restaurant where allergy sufferers feel truly welcome. We visited Agathe's Restaurant in Walluf and had gluten-free dishes there. Everything was excellent, freshly prepared, and you could clearly taste the high quality and regionality of the products. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive, and the team knew exactly what to look out for if you have any intolerances. A particularly positive aspect: The dishes are cooked entirely without nuts – only chopped sunflower seeds are occasionally used. This is a huge plus for anyone with a nut allergy! The atmosphere was very cozy and inviting; you just feel at home. We can wholeheartedly recommend Agathe's – for anyone who values ​​good food, regional ingredients, and great service – and especially for people with gluten, dairy, or nut intolerances. An absolute recommendation!

What a discovery! My vegetarian dishes were imaginatively prepared and, in my opinion, met high standards of fine dining. The wines were also thoroughly recommendable and fairly priced, too. I'd be happy to return.

I visited Agathe's Restaurant in Walluf and was absolutely thrilled. They offer gluten-free options that are excellently prepared. The service was exceptionally attentive; at my request (I was a bit stressed), the food arrived in just five minutes, perfectly organized, yet still top-quality. Friendly, flexible, and very professional. Highly recommended!

The ambiance is really nice, and the food wasn't bad, but cumin in a minced burger and chickpeas in a salad aren't exactly down-to-earth, regional dishes for me!

A truly large selection of gluten-free starters, main courses, and desserts. Just order a burger and enjoy. I had the pulled pork burger with steak fries and thought it was delicious. The gluten-free burger bun was light and airy on the inside and crispy on the outside (definitely not from Schär!). The pulled pork was juicy and tender. A young waitress was just starting her training, but was supported by her colleague and manager. The three of them managed a packed beer garden. The drinks menu includes not only the standard fare, but also seasonal punches and special herbal teas. The beer garden/restaurant is located on a small side street, very quiet and cozy. Parking spaces directly in front of the restaurant are rare, but there are parking spaces within easy walking distance in town. I loved it ❤️ thanks to Ms. Bonnet and her team.

Very nice local restaurant in Walluf, not far from the train station. I went there with my family and you could taste the authentic organic offerings.

Since I have celiac disease and am usually happy to find a dish on the menu that I can eat (regardless of whether I'm hungry or not), I was very pleased to have the opportunity to choose freely from so many options. However, the taste was disappointing. My partner ordered a Hacki Burger and I a schnitzel. Both tasted very bland. No salt, but also no other discernible seasoning. It's a shame, but not recommended if you value a flavorful meal. The service, on the other hand, was very friendly and customer-oriented, and we enjoyed the ambiance.

Unfortunately, our meal was a huge disappointment. I had the vegan schnitzel with an overly salty sauce. The fries, on the other hand, were flimsy and bland. The salad was also rather unpalatable. The whole thing was a bit pricey at €21.90, and we waited 40 minutes for our food. My partner's burger wasn't much better. I regret this review, as the staff was very friendly.

I didn't like the schnitzel at all. It seemed frozen to me, not homemade. The fries weren't crispy either. Personally, I found the restaurant more like a takeaway restaurant. The service, and especially one other woman, presumably the manager, was at times unfriendly and unaccommodating. We won't be going back. It could be better.

We were here for the New Year's Eve buffet. The food and service were excellent! I called and asked if they had gluten-free food, and they confirmed it. The waiters even took note and provided gluten-free bread. The cook also constantly checked to see if everything was okay. We especially want to praise the apple crumble! We will definitely come back. We were also there at Easter. Top-notch service and the food was wonderful again!

I highly recommend this place; traditional German cuisine with a modern twist. Vegan and gluten-free are no problem... I've never had such a wide selection of food! The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. You can even purchase various salt and herb blends, Hildegard spices, and various recipe books, as well as other preserved products. We came for the gluten free selection but were disappointed with the taste and quality. I taste a limp Schär ready-made bread at 200 meters. It was also carelessly prepared. It's definitely better on the map. Too bad!

We were there for dinner with 6 adults and a toddler. We had to wait a relatively long time for the food, which wasn't well received, especially by the toddler. There were also complaints from other guests - but these were conveyed in a very friendly manner by the waitress. I had the "Rumpelstiltskin", an oyster mushroom and potato "steak" with fries, sauce and salad: the vegan gravy, which was highly praised in advance, was over-seasoned, but the fries weren't at all. The side salad - which was strangely brought as a starter - was okay, the vegan "steak" was nothing special - especially for the price (more reminded me of a potato pancake with mushroom). The plates seemed a bit carelessly arranged. Burgers and vintner roulades were also eaten at the table (both probably not bad at all). The wine selection is good. Unfortunately, there were longer waiting times when ordering drinks, even though the restaurant didn't seem that full to us.

Delicious gluten-free food, good home cooking. The kitchen is completely gluten-free; gluten rolls/bread and cakes are only available upon request. Gluten-free burger (Noglla), schnitzel (without gf wheat starch), wild liver dumplings, meatballs, steaks... cakes, muffins, apple crumble... everything a gluten-free heart desires! 😍 However, you should bring some time. With a full house, the two service staff have their hands full.

We were here for the first time after Christmas and absolutely loved it. A classic inn with German cuisine, but interpreted in a modern way. And there were even creative vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menu. The quality of the food was excellent and the portions were large. If this is what the future of German cuisine looks like, then bon appetit :) we would love to come back next Christmas!!!

Great home-style food at fair prices. Changing seasonal themed menus. We had the goose menu. German goose cooked at low temperature. The skin is crispy, the meat is tender. Delicious! First of all, lard bread, lamb's lettuce and a goose soup worth mentioning, because it's finally really tasty. I'm really looking forward to the other menus. The waitresses are friendly, helpful and attentive. So it was a completely successful experience at Agathes.

Friendly staff and quality ingredients. You feel like you're visiting someone in their living room. The prices are a bit high for the rural region, but absolutely justified for the ingredients and quantity.

We were there because of a report on Hessian television - and we found many things exactly the same as in the TV report. Unfortunately we sat a little away, so the ambience and service were not optimal. The food was very tasty, but not outstanding; The portions were a bit small given our hunger (we each had a starter and a main course) and the prices. Too bad. It remains to be seen whether we will drive another 90 km one-way.

Bei Agathe in Walluf sitzt man in einer urigen gemütlichen Gaststätte, in der man grundsätzlich alle Gerichte glutenfrei serviert bekommt. Ob Schnitzel, Burger, Hacksteak, Käsevarianten und Salate – alles sehr lecker und sicher. Immer einen Besuch wert.

Beautiful outdoor area, very nice staff, unfortunately the food wasn't as it was on the menu. We each ordered a salad with fried oyster mushrooms and pomegranate seeds. However, instead of the pomegranate seeds, sunflower seeds came. The complaint resulted in a comment that the new menu wasn't ready yet. It would have been nice if this had been pointed out beforehand. Unfortunately, the salad was too sour for me personally and the dip was too runny.

There were four of us in the restaurant; One of us relies on gluten-free food, the rest of us can eat normally. The ambience is magical, sitting in the courtyard feels like a holiday. We really liked that. Likewise the service, which was friendly. The food, however, was mixed. The “Zölli” really enjoyed the gluten-free burger. The other one didn't like the normal burger at all, but that wasn't the fault of the burger, but rather the way the patty was prepared. And that's probably just typical for the area. The gluten-free schnitzel was good. The kohlrabi schnitzel, on the other hand, is not; somehow it lacked spice. What unfortunately didn't work at all were the fried potatoes. Dripping with fat and lots of too darkly fried (?) potato pieces made this side dish worse than chip shop style. And that has nothing to do with “that’s just how it is in the area”. I actually expect better fried potatoes from a restaurant. And yes, I know, this is kind of hard to find. What really irritated us was that you have to pay extra for the gluten-free burger patties, even though the restaurant clearly describes itself as gluten-free. A pity. The happiness I felt at being able to order everything off the menu was still priceless.

After reading the website my expectations were very high... unfortunately not everything turned out as I had imagined... The atmosphere is very rustic, the food is regional, well-thought-out dishes, but the taste is not that great. The plates are guaranteed to be careless, the schnitzel was bland. The vegetarian dishes sounded promising, but tasted boring. The concept is great, but in my opinion the implementation fails because the ambience, menu and everything else doesn't fit together.

It was the first and certainly not the last time I ate at Agathes. And for a long time now I have been able to choose from the menu without having to search forever (gluten intolerance) and according to my mood (all dishes are prepared by myself!). I had a vegan burger with steakhouse fries. It was a dream! All the products are regional and I liked it very much! Above all, you only pay an extra €1 for the gf burger buns.

We went there on a recommendation for gluten-free food, it wasn't bad, the seating was nice, service could be better, I expected more from the food, but maybe I was too influenced by other places

Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for our lunch on Easter Sunday. The salad dressing was too sour for our taste. The rest of the meal was good!

Tried it out and loved it. Now vegan desserts/cakes are missing.

The slightly different wine restaurant. The food is certainly not for everyone. It wasn't enough for 5 stars. Just a matter of taste.
