Bug Mühle Straußwirtschaft in Walluf

We happened upon this place by chance on Father's Day with a group of five, and we were thrilled. We've rarely felt so warmly welcomed and well-cared for. Delicious wine, meatballs, fried potatoes—everything was excellent. But the best part was the almost family-like atmosphere. We didn't feel like we were in a pub, but rather among friends. We sat in the courtyard under the beautiful old tree and had wonderful, stimulating conversations with the owner, Isolde, and the other guests. Thank you very much.

Highly recommended! A quaint old village inn with an 83-year-old landlady who is incredibly empathetic and has a lot to tell.

A particularly beautiful estate tavern. In warm weather, you can sit outside under the walnut tree and cool off. When it gets cold, it's cozy inside. The ambiance is unique; there's so much to see and discover. Chat with other guests, talk to Isolde, or listen to her stories. Simply a place to enjoy and unwind. The wine is good, the food delicious. Both at reasonable prices. We've been going here for a long time and always enjoy it. Thank you, Isolde. We hope that you and the estate tavern will stay with us for a long time to come.

If I sit outside under the chestnut tree 🌰 I have to expect that there will be some on the ground or leaves 🍁 And if I arrive late from Wiesbaden by train and my schedule doesn't leave me time to eat and drink, then I HAVE to complain because my hiking group wants to move on quickly Then I don't have to vent my displeasure on my hostess Thanks for nothing to the people who feel addressed

To each his own... We had an interesting chat with Isolde about old times and learned a lot about the history around Walluf. The grape juice spritzer and the beer were well chilled and delicious.

Rustic, old-style wine bar with a wonderful ambience, inside and out. Drink a cheap, good bottle without having to eat it. If you like, you can get good and cheap snacks from Isolde. Sitting down and chatting with people, what more could you want. Been here for a long time. Such a good wine that should never go away...😊

The purest nightmare. We just wanted to sit under a beautiful walnut tree, enjoy home-style cooking and drink a glass of good Riesling. The only nice thing was the walnut. The whole courtyard was full of rubbish. Everything unclean, rotten and dirty. The wine was undrinkable; according to the landlady, it was a “mixed Riesling” that was born on the kitchen table in 1941. To make matters worse, she sat down with us without being asked and told us crazy stuff from an old movie with a pink submarine. It is the American film "Operation Petticoat" from 1959 starring Cary Grand and Tony Curtis. Afterwards the “regulars’ table” filled up with two more ladies, who sat down without being asked. We then escaped the “Messi ghost train”. I generously avoided the toilet. A visit to the health department is strongly recommended here. Noooo again! Never not again! Noooo more!

You shouldn't be able to give one star for the ambience: I had the feeling that it was a dirty collection of all sorts of rubbish. The entire facility is reminiscent of a Messi household, I've never seen anything like it: tons of different, stacked chairs, dirty cushions, dirty wobbly tables, unclean glasses etc.. The landlady may be nice, but she is completely overwhelmed with everything. NEVER AGAIN

Top recommendation. Ostrich farming as it should be. Good food and good wine. We'd love to come back. Nice service and nice ambience. It's easy to endure here.

Uriger Ort, wir hatten eine nette Unterhaltung mit Isolde, vielen Dank dafür. Es ist sicher nicht Jedermanns Sache, aber wer das ungewöhliche sucht, ist hier richtig. Wir gehen gerne einmal ab von Weg und finden ungewöhliche und magische Orte.

Absolut spuky. Super nette und unterhaltsame Wirtin. Leckerer Wein, Speisen solala.

Sommerabend unter dem Nussbaum. Wer einen richtig echten Gutsausschank sucht ist hier genau richtig. Nicht abschrecken lassen einfach hinsetzen und abwarten. Das essen ist einfach aber super lecker. Der Wein ist wie er sein soll gehalt voll und lecker. Das absolute unikum ist Isolde! Wer mit ihr ins Gespräch kommt hat einen tollen Abend vor sich, ihr Nussschnaps ist phänomenal. Tolle Geschichten nette Gespräche ein toller Abend. Danke !!!

Leider fast abgebrannt..man kann zum Glück sagen,das es nur der Dachstuhl war,der gebrannt hat..

Ungewöhnlicher Ort mit vielen Erinnerungen. Es wird nur ein unvergesslicher Besuch, wenn man mit der Besitzerin "Isolde" ins Gespräch kommt.

Gemütlich und rustikal, so wie man sich eine Straußwirtschaft vorstellt.
