Neben dem einmaligen Ambiente bietet die Schwabbel nun etwas Neues. Ein Frühstück, das mit Liebe angerichtet ist. Jedes wird extra zubereitet. In Summe alles tip top und immer wieder. Viele Grüße Gudrun und Michael

Es wird nebenan ein Vergrößerung geben. Aber hier war es schön. Das Essen lecker und das Personal sehr Freundlich. Busfahrer sind hier gerne gesehen.

Wir waren nach der Planwagenfahrt des Winzers hier zum Ausklang des Tagen. Neben dem stimmungsvollen und gemütlichen Ambiente des Schwabbel hat allen aus unserer Gruppe das Essen geschmeckt, es war auch für jeden etwas passendes auf der Karte. Wenn wir zeitlich nicht auf unseren Bus angewiesen gewesen wären, hätten wir gerne die Gastfreundschaft noch länger genossen.

Wir haben den Spundekäs im Außenbereich gegessen. Man sitzt schön in der Nähe vom Rhein. Der Innenbereich ist ebenfalls urig gestaltet. Tolle Location generell (Boot-Auswahl), gerade für Fahrradfahrer*innen geeignet.

"Setzen Sie sich erst einmal, dann sage ich Ihnen was wir NICHT MEHR HABEN". Leider gab es nicht einmal eine Scheibe Brot. Schade für die Reservierung und vielen Kilometer. 😟

Wir waren gestern zu fünft an Vatertag in der "Schwabbel“ in Walluf und hatten einen rundum tollen Nachmittag! Die Location auf dem Hausboot direkt am Rhein ist wirklich etwas Besonderes – super gemütlich, liebevoll eingerichtet und mit einer richtig schönen Atmosphäre. Der Chef war unglaublich sympathisch und herzlich, man fühlt sich direkt willkommen. Dazu gab es leckere Weine und richtig gutes Essen – alles hat einfach gepasst. Besonders schön fanden wir auch die entspannte Stimmung an Bord. Außerdem hat uns der Chef von den angebotenen Planwagenfahrten durch den Rheingau erzählt, die ebenfalls von den Schwabbel-Betreibern organisiert werden. Das klingt richtig klasse und werden wir definitiv bald ausprobieren. Klare Empfehlung – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Leider war das Schnitzel eiskalt, in der Mitte angebrannt und auch die grüne Sauce war so lala. Auch der Handkäs war viel zu Essiglastig. Die Lage ist dafür echt top und super gelegen, fürn Getränk kann man das wohl hier machen. Essen würde ich hier nie mehr.

Sehr nettes Plätzchen zum verweilen 🥰auch mit Kindern das Hausboot mit charm liegt direkt am Rhein und es gibt viel Möglichkeiten. Essen kann ich nicht beurteilen aber sah sehr lecker aus .

Hatten reserviert mit 9 Personen. Essen war gut als es etwa eine Stunde nach der Bestellung kam. Leider nicht zusammen sondern in 4 Portionen verteilt über 30 Minuten. Angeblich hat die Küche nur 3 Herdplatten. Geht gar nicht.

Leckeres Essen in netter Atmosphäre! Das Gericht „Maultaschen mit Roter Beete und Pilzen“ kann ich nur empfehlen!

Wir haben hier die Taufe unserer Tochter mit 17 Personen und zwei Kleinkindern gefeiert und waren wirklich sehr zufrieden. Trotz kurzfristiger Reservierung hat alles super geklappt. Das Essen war richtig gut, der Service freundlich und aufmerksam. Besonders positiv fanden wir, wie flexibel das Team war. Auch das Ambiente ist einfach besonders und hat perfekt zu dem Anlass gepasst. Vielen Dank an das Team vom Schwabbel in Walluf – wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir haben am Wochenende eine Planwagenfahrt mit Kai beim Weingut Weber gemacht und es war wirklich großartig. Die Weine waren hervorragend und wir hatten eine rundum richtig gute Zeit. Dank des gut überdachten Wagens war es trotz schlechtem Wetter angenehm und überhaupt nicht zu kalt. Im Anschluss waren wir in der Schwabbel essen. Dort gab es ein wirklich leckeres Schnitzel und auch sehr gute vegetarische Alternativen. Der Service war sehr lieb und aufmerksam. Allein die Atmosphäre auf dem Hausboot am Rhein macht das Ganze zu etwas ganz Besonderem. Wir kommen jederzeit sehr gerne wieder!

Gutes und faires Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Qualität ist wirklich gut. Service nett und aufmerksam. Das Lokal als solches hat seine besten Zeiten hinter sich.

Meine Frau und ich waren heute zu Besuch dort! Hatten nicht reserviert. Bekamen trotzdem einen Platz. Bei der tollen Lokalität würde ich bei gutem Wetter auf alle Fälle eine Reservierung empfehlen. Meine Frau hatte ein Chilli con Carne und ich Spinatknödel mit Pilzrahmsauce und als extra 3 Spiegeleier. Beides war sehr lecker. Teuer fanden wir es nicht. 31€ für das Chilli, die Spinatknödel, eine große Apfelsaftschorle und ein großes Wasser finden wir echt in Ordnung. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder! Leider vergaß ich bilder zu machen🫣

We celebrated our company Christmas party here and were absolutely thrilled! We received a warm welcome with mulled wine and tarte flambée by the fire pit. The food was outstanding – fresh, creative, and incredibly delicious. The service was attentive and friendly, fulfilling our every wish. The atmosphere was festive and truly cozy. Many thanks to the entire Schwabbel team for the wonderful evening. We would love to come back and wholeheartedly recommend this venue!

On Sunday, we were here with friends at this restaurant. Because on the Rhine, there lies the Schwabbel, where you can hear Hessian chatter. We've sat here many times before; you can eat well and cheaply. As a Hessian, I eat heartily, trying everything on the menu. As a Francophile and also a gourmet, I find the "Flammekuche" (a type of flatbread) lovely. Our friend satisfied his hunger with a venison meatball. Then he said, what one doesn't do, the food today wasn't good, IT WAS SIMPLY A DELIGHT, which I simply have to say. The wine too, I recommend it; it was a day for our souls. We'll be back, that's for sure; the food here tasted wonderful.

We were there last week and celebrated my birthday. We all had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, and so were the cocktails. All in all, a very successful and lovely evening. Thank you again so much.

"SCHWABBEL" is a small, cozy spot located directly on the Rhine. A cool houseboat with indoor seating and, in good weather, outdoor seating. A relaxed atmosphere with a view of the Rhine and the small sailboat dock next door. Very pleasant and friendly staff. Moderate prices and good quality. Delicious food, with a good selection on the menu, even for those with a small appetite. Free parking is available nearby on the street. A maximum of 3-5 minutes' walk away.

We rented the Schwabbel for my mother's 70th birthday and were absolutely thrilled! 🎉 The food was outstanding – from the snacks to the main course, everything was fresh, delicious, and perfectly presented. The decor and the overall atmosphere were a perfect fit for the occasion and created a wonderful atmosphere. We'd especially like to highlight the staff: always friendly, attentive, and always on hand, without being intrusive. Even the manager personally looked after us and made sure everything ran smoothly. Whether the food, service, or ambiance – everything was truly first-class. We highly recommend the Schwabbel and thank you for an unforgettable evening! 🙌

If you're looking for a nice location and a drink, I can absolutely recommend this place. Unfortunately, everything else is lacking. With a small order, half of it was wrong, and the service was very young and unprofessional. We ordered three salmon rolls, but only two arrived after about 45 minutes. Even with the busy schedule, this is unexplainable. Then we had to wait another 30 minutes for the last one.

On average, a meal costs €13-20. Goulash soup, currywurst, small salad, and three wine spritzers cost €33. Sorry, but pre-baked rolls? The soup could have been from a can. Last time, they ran out of salads at 5 p.m. So, any dish with salad is unavailable. Too expensive for the quality.

An ugly new metal box is supposed to replace the rustic Schwabbel...

Friendly service...nice seating by the Rhine!

Unfortunately, the service was completely overwhelmed. We went to the Schwabbel for dinner this evening, very happy to have gotten a table in the Rheingau on a Tuesday. Unfortunately, we were celebrating too soon. My friend's meal came quite quickly, but mine didn't arrive at all. After the people at the table who arrived after us received theirs, I canceled my order and went home hungry. Hardly an apology... What a pity.

The Schwabbel is always a super cozy place for delicious traditional food and drinks. Located directly on the Rhine, it has a houseboat atmosphere. It's a great place for cyclists, etc.

Great location on the Rhine. Very friendly staff, reasonable prices, and delicious food. In summer, you can sit under umbrellas on the banks of the Rhine or in the Schwabbel itself (rustic and cozy).

I like going to Schwabbel. The bratwurst tasted fantastic, and if you want to drink beer instead of wine—there's a wine tasting stand next door—this is the place to go.

Typical German service; just polute enough nit to be called rude. However, the food was very tasty and the atmosphere was charming.

After a walk, this is always a great place to stop for a delicious cocktail. Since drinks are also available to go, you can sit on the adjacent wall along the Rhine. The staff is always friendly, even when it's busy.

Always our place of choice to end a trip to the Rheingau in an atmospheric way. Prices are fair and the food doesn't really matter what you order. It's always delicious. What's also pleasing is that new dishes regularly find their way into the selection.

This restaurant is highly recommended! The ambience is something very special and just makes you feel good! The food is prepared very lovingly and the staff is always friendly and accommodating!

I can't say anything negative. We were warmly welcomed and served. The food was very, very good. Prices are really okay.

Yesterday we spontaneously came across this wonderful boathouse while walking with our dog. Because of this cold and wet weather, we were always thinking about a nice mulled wine and something nice to eat. I went in and asked if a peaceful female dog was allowed, which was answered as completely ok. When we went in together, a bowl of water was brought for our dog and we were generally greeted in a friendly manner. All in all it is very cozy, clean and a feeling of comfort is what you get there. Friendliness and reliability are also no problem. Even lovers of wine, cocktails or German cuisine won't miss out here The mulled wine was damn tasty both for me and for my girlfriend with alcohol, and the food, for her the vegan and for me the normal tarte flambée, was damn tasty. In terms of price, it was topped again, because for the atmosphere, the selection of food and drinks, the service and more, we absolutely couldn't complain at just €28 for 2 tarte flambées and 2 mulled wine. We are absolutely happy and now come more often. Thanks for everything😍🤗

The food was ok. The location is very nice. Our service was not good, very impersonal, unfriendly, in summary really not good. I've never left a tip in my life, but I did today because I wasn't happy at all. It's a shame actually, because we came to possibly celebrate a very nice event there next year.

It is a very nice location directly on the Rhine. The service was extremely attentive and very nice. We order a schnitzel with potato salad and meatloaf with fried eggs and potato salad. The potato salad is probably homemade and tastes very good. The meatloaf with the fried egg was very tasty. The schnitzel was a complete disaster, the breading was partially burnt and the breading came off on the underside of the schnitzel because it was still soggy. The meat had a strange taste and was not crispy at all, but very tough. I also told the waitress who wanted to tell the chef. My conclusion: I will never eat schnitzel there again in my entire life.

Was just ignored at the grill outside when ordering for whatever reason despite making eye contact. Apparently they had been waiting for a group of acquaintances to let them in. Obviously closed due to wealth.

Well, when the weather is nice it's easy to post positively. We sat outside and were totally satisfied. The service is nice and attentive and the food is really good. And every now and then a sailing ship passes by.

Sorry, aber das Essen ist nicht besonders gut. Hockedotz also Frikadelle war am Boden ca. 1 cm dick verbrannt und nicht essbar. Außerdem sehr scharf. Aber, das ist ja noch Geschmackssache. Auf Anfrage, ob es geschmeckt hat, haben wir es bemängelt. Keine Reaktion. Der Weißwein trocken, war warm. Und das bei einer Außentemperatur von 28 Grad. Auf Anfrage bekamen wir dann Eiswürfel die uns den Wein zwar gekühlt haben, aber dann hatten wir eine Schorle. Ist ja nicht der Sinn der Sache. Auf Anfrage warum, sie hätten Logistikprobleme. Flammkuchen war außen schon sehr verbrannt. Bedienungen waren freundlich. Aber wir hätten schon erwartet, das bei den ganzen Mängeln, doch wenigstens eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit gekommen wäre. Zum was trinken, können wir es empfehlen.

Unfortunately, we haven't eaten so badly in a long time. Meatloaf was about 1 cm burnt at the bottom and was not edible. Also very spicy, but that's still a matter of taste. When asked if it tasted good, we complained. But without reaction. White wine was way too warm. When we complained we didn't get cold wine Ice cubes. So we drank a spritzer. Tarte flambée was very burnt on all edges. Not edible. Nice to sit and have a drink. We won't eat there again.

We went to Schwabbel for the first time today and I have to say we were thrilled. We had delicious wine, very tasty food and top service. We will be back definitely.

I was there today as part of a company party. It took forever for our drink orders to be taken as well as the food. Some of the first people were already finished eating when the others at the table only got their food. The service staff barely smiled on the lips, took forever for billing and, as I said, took forever for drinks and food service. A group at the table next to us left after waiting for over an hour for the bill. If you wanted a drink in between you had to be lucky that the waitress would notice you. Food was out at 7:30 p.m. as were some drinks. No “Is there anything else I can do for you?” / "Is everything okay?"/"Would you like something else to drink?" etc. The food was partly cold and ready to eat warmed up (or so it seemed). I, as well as some of my colleagues, were very disappointed. We won't be coming back any time soon.

Here you can find the best draft Grevenstein beer ever. The food also has to be good, because it is always very busy here. Lots of friendly service staff complete the picture. Reservation needed.

Hier sitze ich viel lieber im Restaurant-Boot, was dort im Rhein vor Anker liegt, als draußen unter den Kastanien. Denn der Innenraum des Restaurants ist sehr maritim und gemütlich eingerichtet! Wir bestellten: 1x Spundenkäs´ mit Brezeln und 1x Leberkäs´ gebraten mit Spiegelei plus Getränke. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam und das Essen kam schneller, als erwartet! Da draußen Schönwetter herrschte, war´s im Schiff angenehm ruhig, was wir genossen... Wer also mal auf dem Weg nach Rüdesheim nach Walluf kommt: meine Empfehlung!

Restaurant on a pontoon/boat. Very nicely decorated, but because it is small, it is also a bit noisy. Very friendly service and the menu has something completely different than in other restaurants. Food was very tasty. 👍☺️

I've been going to Schwabbel for around 40 years and still really enjoy being here. The food is solid and modern, presented attractively and brought to the table in a friendly manner. Top! I regret the new building a bit and at the same time I'm looking forward to it. If the overall package handles the move well, I'll continue.

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food because we only ever drink one or two glasses outdoors and only when there are two winemakers serving their wine at the Wallufer wine stand next door who don't deserve the name winemakers, connoisseurs will know who they are. But back to the chatterbox, the wine and beer are delicious but the service...there's still a lot of room for improvement. When the sun is shining and as a restaurateur you know that things are going to be bad, there should be more service staff who are also careful and quick and don't go back empty-handed.
