Recommended, very attentive customer service. Family run, good and unique food.

The food is delicious, Can’t say a lot about the service or ambience as I only have food delivered, But I met them in one of the Berlin Bazar stalls and while enjoying the good food, I witnessed that they take good care of their customers...

Absolutely recommended location with really delicious dishes. I was pleasantly surprised. There were three of us there and we hadn't had any contact with Persian food before. For this reason we followed the recommendation of the boss (I assume she is the owner - long black curls and gave instructions to the rest of the staff) and were not disappointed. It was amazing... Trust her and you'll have a fantastic evening. The ambience... well... is just typical Prenzl Berg. You have to like it. I don't do this that way, hence the 1 point deduction in the B grade. BUT: You go there because of the food and that's great.

Very good and tasty food and the quantities are great. A lot of gluten free options. The rice taste absolutely fantastic.

The taste of Iranian homemade food. I often visit Aftab, as it’s my go-to spot for my favorite dish: saffron rice with barberry and chicken. Without a doubt, aftab is my top choice among all the Iranian restaurants I’ve tried in Berlin.

I really, really want to love this place, particularly because there are no other Iranian restaurants in the area. The taste is pretty good and has gotten better since I first tried it, but the stew to rice ratio is so off. There is LOADS of rice and very little strew and it's pre-mixed, when you order it, which is a shame. The kashke bademjan would be amazing if it was more smokey and less oily. I hope they consider the feedback. Would order again, if so!!! :)

Where is this place!!! The coziest, most welcoming of all places, hands down. You want to feel at home, you should try this place. They will make you miss Iran dearly. If you are not iranian, they will make you want to visit Iran one day. Will come back every time I will be in Berlin. ❤️

One the worst Persian food I ever eat!! The zereshkplolo bowl‘s taste was really bad, it reminds me hospital food!!!! They write in menu this dish serve with one Jogurt bowl and the bowl was a sauce plastic bowl as smallest as you can imagine. I don’t recommend this restaurant at all.

We had a great time when chatting with the owner who is a great and interesting person :) the food was amazing, we loved everything!

The dishes are served with very small quantities and mainly rice. For these reasons I would not recommend this venue.

Actually a pretty nice shop, not really that special and quite expensive. But they charge money for tap water, which is unfortunately outrageous!

From the Persian restaurants I've tried so far in Berlin, this was by far the worst. Their fesenjun was definitely not authentic and overpriced.

I can only agree, it used to be great, now it's just expensive and the quality is significantly worse. 11€ for a bowl of supposed saffron rice with 5 raisins, and for dishes with a casserole also 85% rice and a dollop of vegetables is not possible. I pay €25 for 2 bowls of dry partially colored rice. 👎🏻

The food delivery service was good, I can't complain about the courier in this weather. But I was expecting two separate containers of food, exactly what is shown in Wolt's promotional photo, but I was only faced with a box and a very small can of yogurt. It was pretty disappointing. Since I spend most of my time in restaurants and my orders can naturally be very large, I'm of course a little disappointed. At least the yogurt container should be as small as a bowl. The yogurt they sent me is only enough for two tablespoons. In all famous restaurants in the world, a few things are always kept in mind. The actual size of the food, accompaniments like yogurt, vegetables, etc., the taste, smell of the food and the amount the customer pays for a good meal. If all these steps are followed well, I think we can include more stars in our text instead of our 5 stars. But in this case, unfortunately, this will not happen.

Very tasty Persian rice bowls - excellent staff and very cute interior. A great place to go with friends/family.

I was there three times. All the staff were super polite and nice and I felt very comfortable when I spoke to them. I remember asking one of the polite ladies about a particular juice that they didn't have. She was so kind and surprised me by getting it specially and making it just for me because I asked. The food is just amazing, I love it. I recommend the restaurant 100% and will go there more and more often.

It was our first time there and we got a seat inside. If you can't sit outside, you should make a reservation as it's not very big. The service was very friendly and committed. The food came quite quickly and was really tasty. The quantity and price corresponded to my expectations. It is therefore a recommended restaurant.

Ordered Ghorme Sabzi and Fesenjan with chicken. Our favorite Persian dishes! 15€ - 16€ per bowl is really hefty, then everything is delivered in a container and with the ratio of 90% rice and only 10% dish, with 3-4 pieces of meat you are actually only eating dry, soggy, overpriced rice. But the few pieces of chicken were enough that my partner and I have been struggling with severe gastrointestinal problems for two days. That was the last time...

.The restaurant is small. Unfortunately, the staff only speaks very simply and loudly and that is not respectful behavior.

Cozy persian restaurant in a nice neighborhood. Lots of vegeterian options and with kind and helpful staff. We tried the vegeterian plate and liked it very much. You can ask them to substitute the stews if you want, which is great.

Good food, great service. Will definitely come back and would recommend. A veg main dish was 13€

Delicious, I devoured it! I wanted to pace myself and enjoy it more but damn it was so good that I just kept on eating and it was gone before I noticed (not to be interpreted as the portion is not enough because it is enough to be satisfied)

This place truly offers a taste of authentic Persian cuisine. The food is fresh, with plenty of options, including great choices for vegetarians. The rice, with its delicious hint of raisins, is particularly yummy. I have been here numerous times and will definitely keep coming back!

Worst service. Visited for the first time and the waiter dropped sauce on me. With just a sorry in return. I also asked him to bring tissues but he never did. It was lunch time and had to go back to office with dirty clothes. In addition they did not provide any reciepts or card payments, in return he offered he can write the reciept with hand I wish i could rate lower than 1 star

Delicious Persian food, I had the chicken bowl here and it was fantastic.

The drinks of house, barberry lemonade and yogurt, are special and nice to try. Eggplant paste has a strong flavor of spices, was also not bad. The bowl tasted however mediocre, expected more toppings but came with mostly rice. Service was friendly but low price performance ratio.

Very poor value for money I have always enjoyed eating here, but unfortunately the quality has declined and the price has increased. I ordered the herb omelet, which wasn't worth the €10, neither in quantity nor in quality. I complained at the same time and was rudely told that it was an “appetizer” and that appetizers are small. My opinion on this... then you also charge appetizer prices and not the same amount for which you get a main course in the restaurant next door. The waitress said I should call in the evening and the boss would be there. Unfortunately, no one answered after several calls. Unfortunately I have to deduct a star for the service, which has become really bad.

I have been living close by for 9 years now and regularly come here for the crispy vegan chicken curry. The house lemonades are also very nice.

It was quite ok but really the portion of the vegetarian plates are way too small. Not only that but also not enough vegetables (like literally 4 small slices of aubergine) inside the rice, I ended up getting full from the rice mainly ...

I've been getting a vegetarian Khoresh Bowl to take away for a while now. First it was €10.90, now it costs €12.90. If the price-performance ratio were right, but what I get home with me is just rice (!) with a little sauce and what feels like 5x lentils. So it's a total rip off!!! I once told the waiter this as a regular customer and asked them to give me more of the braised dish. I was told that this is calculated exactly and wouldn't work. The customer is not king here, only the money. This is how you lose a regular customer! I can also make rice with a little sauce myself... I once felt sick after one of your dishes, after the meal and the next day. The food was old and reheated in the microwave! Unbelievable, a case for the health department. Not recommended, rip-off for tourists! (Like, unfortunately, more and more restaurants in my area)

Very tasty food, due to an allergy the menu was specially adapted for sharing and our wishes were taken into account. We also used NeoTaste and saved another €10. Highly recommended if you are in the area!

Unfortunately I have to change my very positive 2-year-old review to a negative one. Aftab has always been one of my favorite restaurants and Fesenjan has always been my favorite dish. At that time the restaurant had a 4.9. Now everything seems to be in free fall. The price almost doubled and the quality got worse. Yesterday was the highlight. Rice immediately tasted old/mouldy and we had gastrointestinal problems afterwards. It was probably the chicken dish. Very unfortunate. I have recommended Aftab to many friends over the years, but now I have to advise against it. Sure, hardly anyone is in the mood for the rip-off prices for rice with a little sauce anymore, so it will probably get old.

The food is very delicious, the portions are satisfying, and the employees are very friendly.

Super tasty food, but unfortunately really too expensive for the amount...it's a shame, if the price-performance ratio was better I would definitely stop by more often! I just find 14-15€ for a dish that doesn't really fill you up in terms of quantity to be too much, sorry...that's why unfortunately only 2 stars

I've ordered here quite often, a year ago a dish cost 11.90, now we're at 14.90 when ordering through Wolt. Furthermore, the meat side dish became smaller and smaller, and at some point the almonds were missing from the dish. Here you continually get poorer quality at ever higher prices. It's a real shame but I definitely won't be ordering from here again.

I enjoyed the dish Kashk Bademjan. It was the tastiest thing I've ever eaten in Berlin. It's a nice place with nice owners and delicious food.

my first experience with Persian food. I loved the rice with eggplant and chicken. I was so focused on enjoying myself that I forgot to take a photo. The mint tea with fresh leaves and honey was also delicious. The restaurant is tiny, but has a very cozy atmosphere and the waitresses were very friendly.

The staff here is extremely unfriendly, unprofessional and unpleasant. The beach music, which is more suitable for fitness and dancing, is far too loud and significantly disrupts the restaurant experience. It's a shame that the evening couldn't have been more pleasant, because the food wasn't that bad.

Nice staff, authentic Iranian food

Toevallig hier binnen gewandeld met de intentie snel iets te drinken. Toen we binnen kwamen overviel de heerlijke geur van kruiden ons en konden we niet anders dan ook te eten! Een fantastische beslissing! Dit is een aanrader! Lekker, gezellig, vriendelijke bediening. En prijs kwaliteit heel goed!

Being from the region, food was very average. Nothing special or very authentic. The service was not very warm alike to previously described reviews or like the Persian culture. Very fast… overpriced for a dish of flavoured rice and chicken with spoon amount of vegetables + yoghurt. If you are European, you will be happy. If you are from Middle East, this is “ok”. Interior is very nice tho with the pictures and showing of the culture during the Shah days.

I had never tried Persian cuisine in my life, it is a pure luxury in the mouth, it was incredibly tasty and cooked with a lot of love. The owner is a very courteous and loving woman, I felt like I was at home with my mom ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Cozy, family-run spot with tasty Persian stews. Loved how they serve the food. Try the Mixed plates to taste different dishes. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Great for a new taste of homeme Persian food. No grills. We also got homemade cookies for dessert with Persian tea.

Food was pretty good but got cold fast because the door was left open making the whole place cold. And the owner's attitude matched the temperature. This is not Persian hospitality. We were rushed to leave after being there a short time (and the place had plenty of empty seats). With so many Persian places in this city, go try somewhere else.

Such a lovely place! Very yummy persian food! I had never tried it and was curious. What a lovely place. Love to see the way the staff is talking with their regulars. And their foodubers are also coming in with a smile. You can just see their love :) I had the sweet bowl with chicken and it was delicious! Def come back when I'm visiting Berlin.

Very well location, you can pay with card, good portions, some dishes very good, others the flavor was quite intense, only one we didn’t like. Fortunately nothing was spicy. Prices were fine.

While we appreciated the friendly service, the portion sizes in relation to the price were surprisingly small, leaving us a bit shocked upon receiving our food. My order of rice with chicken was disappointingly oily and had an off taste, almost as if it hadn’t been cooked freshly. The lingering greasiness left a rather unpleasant aftertaste.

Die gemische Platte für 2 kann ich nur empfehlen! Wir konnten uns nicht entscheiden, so hatten wir von allem etwas. Das Essen war flott zubereitet und das Personal sehr nett. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist auch vollkommen in Ordnung.

Zum ersten Mal persisch außerhalb Mamas Küche probiert und muss gestehen, fast genauso lecker 😘. Auch was selten erlebt, Veganer Joghurt 👍. Preislich angemessen für die Portionen. Informal Persian restaurant. I honestly loved the taste, such a surprise. The composition of the plate and the vibe. They also have vegan yogurt, just in case.

Delicious vegan Persian food, nice ladies and cozy space. Had the vegan plate for two people and it was very filling: two types of rice, salad, olives, five small dishes (mushrooms, beans, spinach, tofu and eggplant) and a vegan yogurt style sauce. The ginger and orange tea definitely helped afterwards. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Unfortunately this restaurant will racially discriminate against customers, profiling and insinuating that certain customers may "forget" to pay and demanding that they pre-pay for their bill. I don't know how you are able to see the future and rudely discriminate against customers in this manner.

Wundervolles iranisches Nostalgie-Ambiente, exzellenter Service und Essen mit Liebe gemacht, wie bei iranischen Großmüttern. Die Besitzerin zudem ein tiefgründiger Sonnenschein höchster Klasse. Jedesmal einen Besuch Wert.

Sehr gutes Platz, bin ich noch einer der empfiehlt :-) Das Service war tadellos, die Besitzerin ist sehr freundlich und hat uns alles erklärt. Wir haben den vegetarischen Mix Teller. Es war gut, aber ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, einen von denen als volles Gericht zu nehmen. Alles ist sehr lecker als Probe, aber ein ganzer Teller mit Sellerie (z. B.) wäre zu viel für mich. Das kostete 29,90 (für zwei). Nicht billig im Vergleich zu der ziemlich kleiner Größe, aber was ist heutzutage billig? Die Stimmung im Restaurant ist toll.. Ich kenne nur persische, die zu 'heavy' sind. Hier ist es mehr "Street Food". Empfohlen.
