ADEN house of jachnun in Berlin

Super tasty, affordable, and no long wait. I can only recommend it.

Good 'Jachnun'. Unfortunately, they don't have anything else there besides Jachnun. Jachnun is delicious, but not something I would eat more than twice a year. I would advise them to offer other options, otherwise, after this initial start, it won't have a long-term future. It comes with egg—and if you don't eat egg, there's no other alternative. Service was unprofessional but cordial.

I've never had jachnun before today. My life is changed forever. I'm not sure how these things taste so good, but please give me more.

This was my first time eating a jachnun. The texture is very different to what I expected. It is like a rolled up, stretchy crepe and is fairly dense. The 15 hours of cooking gives the jachnun these nice brioche or cake notes on the palate. The zhug was delicious too but was more garlic driven and not as spicy as Israeli ones I’ve had. The tomato salsa was a bit bland and had a slight hint of effervescence. As a jachnun layman, I still feel I would have enjoyed a bit more acidity in these components to refresh my palate whilst eating the dense dough. The decor and especially the service was so good though. I felt so welcome and happy throughout my time here.

It‘s a great place for everyone who already loves jachnun or wants to become a fan of this amazing dish. Nadav is doing it incredibly well and the whole team is just fantastic.
