Nice place, with lots of welcoming prints and colours, with multiple rooms (but I recommend booking). We took the mixed platter for two people and it was very filling, as well as very good. I can't say if it's 100% original African or with a bit of German influence but the experience was excellent. Short waiting times for food and super super nice owner. It's a shame that the night we were there there were no desserts. Super recommended

We shared the vegetarian platter for two and both found it absolutely delicious. The traditional flatbread is gluten-free and normal bread is also available. Definitely suitable for vegetarians and those with gluten intolerance. The ambience is great, you feel really comfortable both inside and in the courtyard. The service is very friendly and... you could also talk for longer and learn more about Ethiopia. An absolute recommendation for authentic African cuisine!

Very tasty food and super nice service. We shared the vegetarian platter for two, all dishes were very tasty. The traditional way of eating by hand was also explained, so we didn't need the cutlery at all. The host was also super welcoming so we learned a lot about Ethiopia. If we lived in Trier, we would definitely be regular guests.

We were here this evening as a company outing and we all really enjoyed it. The two of us shared the mixed platter for two, which was more than enough and very tasty. The host was very friendly and gave us interesting facts about Ethiopia. This won't be my last visit, thank you for the lovely evening :)

The drinks were forgotten and only came after the meal, which also took a relatively long time. The food itself was quite good, but we found it not enough for 2 people. In addition, the table was still dirty from the previous one, with speed and glasses, rather unappetizing... The service was very nice but was responsible for everyone alone, so it's understandable that everything took a little longer.

It is a small but lovingly decorated restaurant. We ordered a mix platter and were completely satisfied! The service was great, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was good! We'll definitely be back! Thanks for the great evening!

A great exotic taste experience, friendly and quick service. Attractive outdoor area in the courtyard. Bright and friendly inside, but a bit old-fashioned and not very Ethiopian. But of course that doesn't affect the kitchen's performance😉

We ate the plate with everything for 2 people. Very tasty, varied in taste and very filling with the Ethiopian flatbread made from teff flour. The service was hospitable and we learned a lot about Ethiopian food.

We spent a girls' evening here on a Friday evening and had a delicious Ethiopian meal. The service was also great, a vegetarian dish was prepared especially for me without onions and garlic and we learned a lot about the specialties.

I'm very impressed, I'm here today to rebook my table for my birthday, which I'm celebrating here with a few people. I will always enjoy coming to eat here, very, very tasty, very nice, friendly staff and nice, cozy atmosphere, clean toilets, beautifully tiled, can only be recommended!!! 😊

The service and hospitality here are just as impressive as the food! We drive an hour on the weekends just to eat here. Our favorite is the vegetarian platter to share. I like to order with mint tea and extra injera. Handwashing and coffee preparation at table side is an extra bonus. Can’t recommend enough!

I came here twice now and ordered different foods both times. Me, and the people I was here with, were all very satisfied with our experience. The food was really good! The staff was very friendly, the service was great and we learned a little bit about Ethiopia as well. ☺️

We ordered the mixed platter and the fish of the day, both were delicious and the fish was especially fresh. All is served with the typical injera. Before eating they let you wash your hands because eating without spoon and fork is very encouraged. The meal becomes a real communal feast and the host is one of the best! Will be back soon!

We recommend! We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious cuisine from Ethiopia. Very healthy and rich in different spices/flavors. We can recommend the dish Addis Ababa Special (plate with a little bit of everything). This can be shared with several people and makes the meal a shared experience. The small but fine restaurant is located on a side street off Saarstrasse. Unfortunately, this means it is a bit away from the city center, but we were able to find enough parking spaces nearby. It is also easy to reach by bus. We were also extremely satisfied with the nice service and the cleanliness. The prices are reasonable for what is offered. It won't be the last time we eat there.

Food was very tasty 😋 Service was very nice, answered all of our questions and didn't let ourselves be disturbed by the large number of guests. Furniture appears to be from the previous owner and unfortunately the heating was apparently only turned on when the first guests arrived. So it was a bit chilly at first when I sat down. We will come back as the rest was really great.

Nettes Personal, von der Begrüßung bis zum Abschied. Gemütliches Restaurant mit netter Atmosphäre. Wir hatten das Special für 2 Leute. Der Kellner kam mit warmem Wasser und Seife zum Händewaschen. Die Platte, bestehend aus einer Vielzahl Gerichte wird auf einem speziellen Brot gereicht und mit den Händen gegessen. Hauptspeise und der äthiopische Kaffee für danach waren 1a. Tldr: Super essen, super Service. Great food, great people!

Best restaurant in Trier. Been here with my wife. We loved it. Super delicious. Very friendly staff. One meal and a drink each, for two people, 39€. Good price. Great value for your money! You get in around the corner. There’s another entrance right on Saarstr but I think this is only open when the outdoor area is open too.

Ein schön eingerichtetes Restaurant, welches offenbar gut besucht ist. Warum dann nur 3 Sterne? Insgesamt war das Essen in Ordnung. Gemessen am Preis allerdings eher mittelmäßig (18€). Bei der Bezahlung wurden ohne Kommunikation 4€ auf die Rechnung draufgeschlagen, auch wenn wir ohnehin aufgerundet hätten. Als Inhaber von sich aus das zu machen, gehört sich meiner Meinung nach nicht. Wir mussten etwa 15 Minuten warten, bis unser bereits bestelltes Essen fertig war, was an sich kein Problem ist. Doch weshalb habe ich dann für einen bestimmten Zeitpunkt vorbestellt? Fairerweise bot der Inhaber netterweise einen Kaffee zur Überbrückung der Wartezeit an. Wie gesagt: das Essen war in Ordnung (Achtung scharf) aber ich würde nicht erneut dort Essen.

Wir hatten zu dritt eine gemischte Platte, alle Bestandteile waren sehr lecker und geschmacklich außergewöhnlich und man konnte auch ohne Probleme Nachschub bekommen, wenn etwas nicht ausgereicht hatte.

Alles in allem war der Besuch dort super! Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen war lecker und die Bilder im Restaurant wunderschön. Auch der Weihrauchgeruch war sehr angenehm.

Tolles äthiopisches Restaurant, in das ich sehr gerne alle meine Freunde mitschleppe. Absolute Empfehlung, wenn man mal abseits von Burgern in Trier essen gehen möchte!

Einzigartig in Trier, sowohl Geschmack als auch Ambiente überzeugen absolut. Man könnte für einen Moment fast meinen, dass man sich nicht in Deutschland befindet. Das Essen schmeckt ausgezeichnet und wird in großen Portionen serviert. Der Service sorgt stetig fürs eigene Wohl. Wer mal eine neue experience probieren möchte ist hier genau richtig! Wir haben zum ersten Mal äthiopisch gegessen. Es war sehr lecker. Viel mit Hülsenfrüchten und couscous. Wir hatten ein Veganes Gericht sowie ein gemischtes Gericht mit Fleisch und Fisch. Wir würden es gerne wieder besuchen.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker, leider etwas wenig und uns fehlte auch etwas scharfes. Service ist umwerfend freundlich, zum Tisch kommt ein Händewasch-Service, mit warmen Wasser, Seife und Handtuch! Ambiente ist auch schön und es gibt einen tollen Aussenbereich im Innenhof. Alles in allem eine schöne Lokation, Preise etwas hoch, da es etwas wenig dafür gibt Trotzdem kann ich es empfehlen

Amazing place that just opened up with the most friendly staff. The atmosphere is great and carried by the warm hospitality. We could wash our hands at the table which to me was a luxury. The food was incredibly delicious and varied and the coffee was an experience in itself. Top rating from me and I hope they manage to keep this up as scaling love, warmth and hospitality is hard to do. Also dog friendly!

Der Innenhof ist klein aber gemütlich. Der Service war sehr nett und bemüht. Das Essen hat uns gut geschmeckt, vor allem der Kaffee. Essen wie Kaffee sind mild und sehr bekömmlich ! Wir werden wieder kommen.
