Ambitious at best. As already described by a user on TripAdvisor. The service is not enough. The food is well-intentioned but not nearly professional enough for the price: from the choice of plate to the unseasoned tartare, it's not enough. And certainly not for the price. And when you read the owner's comments on other platforms, you feel sick. Bad food doesn't get any better with snooty lectures. Or as an innkeeper in GAP put it: an apprenticeship as a chef and a bit of ambition are just not enough. Cooking is also an art that comes from skill. This and the experience are missing across the board, no matter how nice the ambience is. Certainly never again for us and especially not after the comments from the owners!

Not every restaurant has a ripening refrigerator with regional dry aged meats and the necessary beef and it is certainly unique in the region.

We stayed at Werdenfelserei for one night and immediately wished we had stayed longer! The hotel strikes a perfect balance between modern amenities and cozy charm, making it a wonderful retreat. Our room was thoughtfully designed with every detail in mind. The beautiful balcony offered serene views, and the bathroom was exceptional, featuring a shower, standing tub, and multiple sinks with ample counter space — blending luxury with practicality. The rooftop pool was absolutely stunning—a highlight of our stay—with breathtaking views and a peaceful ambiance. It was the perfect spot to relax and take in the beauty of Garmisch. The cocktails were fantastic, and we loved unwinding with a drink after a day of exploring. The breakfast spread was *absolutely* incredible, offering a wide variety of high-quality options to start the day.

Breitenauer Str. 2I have been able to see the behind the scenes of how the DFAC restaurant works, cooks and serves the NATO school students. This is an extremely clean, well operated, knowledgable staff that can serve some really good authentic food from recipes of where the NATO students come from. Highly recommended if you are a NATO student, German, US Military or US Federal employee. Families living on site can bring kids for the fast food grill on the menus offered.

Klammstraße 8We had an amazing dinner at this place. Im vegan and my boyfriend is vegetarian and while there were not many options on the menu, chef has created an amazing dinner for us. The food and service were exceptional. ✨ I would definitely recommend this place for a wonderful dinner. Thank you for that experience.
