`87 Mamma Lina by Gina's Pizza Bar in Karlsruhe

Wir habe im Gina's ein Abend zu viert verbracht das essen war eigentlich ganz lecker, der riesige Pizzarand ist wohl eine Spezialität doch, uns hat es jetzt nicht alt zu gestört. Die Getränke kommen Teilweise in lächerlichen Quantitäten (z.B ein Mezzo Mix kommt in einer 20 cL Flasche, selbst bei einem Kleinkind wird der Durst nicht gelöscht) das ist sehr schade. Was das Ambiente betrifft fanden wir es stickig, eng und vor allem viel zu laut also wer was entspanntes & gemütliches sucht ist da definitiv an der falschen Adresse. Alles in allem war es keine voll Enttäuschung aber wieder komme würden wir definitiv nicht, Schrade drum.

4er Tisch ein Woche zuvor reserviert. Da 2 Leute erkrankt sind, durften wir nicht unseren reservierten Tisch nutzen, sondern wurden an einen Stehtisch 60x60 cm ins letzte Eck verfrachtet. Auf Nachfrage warum wir den reservierten Tisch nicht erhalten hatte der Kellner keine Antwort. Wir sind dann ins Nachbarrestaurant, welches sehr zuvorkommende Kellner und schöne Plätze ohne Reservierung hat.

A nice, relaxed visit to a restaurant looks different! In the back area (at the normal tables) everything is super tight, so that it sometimes becomes really uncomfortable in relation to the people sitting next to you. It's best to let the service staff know what you want after 2 minutes - and order straight away (so that you can clear the table as quickly as possible). We actually wanted to drink an aperitif in peace first, but we were "advised" to order instead - the end of the story: while the glasses were still full, we were told the words "separately or together - cash is not accepted" and the EC machine was lost held his nose. The pizza is delicious, but the atmosphere makes you lose your appetite.

Very good pizza. We had a very good men's evening, and the service was very professional and quick. A little bit more niceness or cheerfulness would be what could make our visit perfect.

You could only pay by card. The pizza was outrageous. It didn't taste good and smelled rotten. We'll never get pizza there again.

We had booked the New Year's Eve menu in advance, and so far everything went well. According to the website, the start should be at 5 p.m. When we asked if we could come later, we were asked to be there by 5 p.m. - that wasn't a problem at first. The food was good, there's nothing wrong with that. However, around 9 p.m. we were asked to pay and leave - on the grounds that there was another group waiting for our table. This is absolutely unacceptable. Why should we come at 5 p.m. when the next group can't show up until 9 p.m.? After all, it was a New Year's Eve package and not just a quick dinner. When we asked the visibly overwhelmed waiters to call the boss, we were told that the boss was at the front and that we could go to him ourselves. This approach is simply unprofessional and disappointing for a company that otherwise advertises itself with high standards. Conclusion: The food was good, but the organization and customer service were disastrous that evening. Something like this simply shouldn't happen at a New Year's Eve event.

Absolutely RUDE AND INCOMPETENT staff. We went to the New Year's Eve party yesterday and booked the tickets in advance. We were asked several times to arrive promptly at 5:00 p.m., as New Year's Eve apparently begins there. After we were served the food, we were rudely asked to leave at 8:30 p.m. because the next group of people was apparently waiting. -> According to the cards, however, it is a New Year's Eve menu for which we paid quite a bit and not a quick dinner. So we didn't have the opportunity to sit relaxed and have a drink, but were asked to leave. There were also threats against the manager of the store. We were told to go to the boss and discuss with him whether we could stay. It is absolutely unprofessional that we are asked to see the boss, even if we have reserved a table and tickets for New Year's Eve. Absolutely NO RECOMMENDATION. The restaurant advertises professionalism and a high standard. Last night was anything but that. It was absolutely UNPROFESSIONAL, UNFRIENDLY AND UNORGANIZED. The food tasted okay. However, this couldn't save the evening.

I had dinner with my family on December 18th, 2024 at around 1:00 p.m. We ordered three pizzas and unfortunately we complained that the cheese wasn't good. And has an unpleasant smell. We each ate a piece. We couldn't eat them anymore. We paid and complained to the waitress. Service was unfriendly. I told her it didn't taste good and right. She simply shook her head. We have now been lying since December 19th and have food poisoning. It's a good thing that my daughter (2.5 years old) doesn't want to eat it at all. She's fine!

What we eat is not pizza, it's like bread with little cheese.

Pizza was okay. I expected more for the price. It could have been a little bigger and the tomato sauce a little milder. The sauce was too sour and the base of the pizza was completely soggy and almost soggy. The edge was very good. :-) The second reason why I definitely won't come back and won't recommend the restaurant is the poor service. You have the feeling that you are a nuisance and let alone welcome. Personally, I think that's absurd and I can't understand it, especially in the catering industry. We asked for a table, the waitress sat us down in a very uncomfortable place, almost panting, and gave us a time limit. We should be gone within an hour. Actually I should have left then, then I would have saved a lot of money for too little performance. The highlight was that we weren't even really told goodbye.

Sehr schöner Abend in einer coolen 😎 Location! Sowohl die Vorspeise, als auch die Pizzen und die Getränke sind allesamt sehr lecker! Bedienungen sind aufmerksam und freundlich. Einziges Manko: zu eng. Also zu viele Tische auf zu engem Raum. Als großer Mensch sitzt man nicht angenehm.

There were two of us at Mamma Lina. The food is really fantastic, from the starters to the pizzas to the dessert there is nothing that could be improved from our side! The restaurant isn't the biggest and when it gets busy it gets a bit cramped and noisy. The service is good but could be improved.

Cosy environment but bit loud. Pizza was delicious, drinks and desserts are on bit expensive side.

We called to ask if there were any vacancies. Unfortunately the lady said not so I reserved online myself and there were free places at the same time. So always check online! When we got there we got a small table in the aisle (very narrow and everyone walks past you) After the food came and we ate, a gentleman came with the EC machine and asked us to pay directly, which was quite strange because we actually wanted to sit in peace. Less than 10 minutes later the gentleman came back and said we had to get out because his next reservation was coming. To be honest it was very rude, we were basically thrown out. I've never experienced that before

Phew, what can you say? Pizza very good, quick and tasty. Drinks overpriced. others have already mentioned: tap water costs 7 euros, that's not possible! But the real highlight is the service, where do I start: We were the first guests, the music was deafeningly loud. When we asked for the music to be turned down a little, it was turned down briefly. But then turned it up again because apparently you couldn't hear any music downstairs. well. when ordering, no information on questions about the card. One had the impression of being a nuisance here. wine? No, then glasses away, starter? also ned, plates away. And with a lot of huffing and puffing. Food came quickly and was good. pay: I would even have been willing to give a tip up to this point. But when I wanted to pay with cash, the answer was harsh: card only. Without explanation, without please/thank you. The guy (boss?) clearly missed his job. Hospitality is different. We definitely won't be coming back. In addition, the female service staff who “only” brought food/drinks to the tables were extremely friendly. And about the ambience: it is loud and very narrow.

We celebrated our son's 18th birthday and it was just perfect! The team spoiled us with a wonderful mix of the most popular starters, pizzas and desserts. The quality was outstanding, everything was fresh and extremely tasty. We were particularly impressed by the friendly and attentive service - the entire team was always in a good mood and helpful. A big thank you to Michele and his crew for this unforgettable evening! Absolutely recommended, we would love to come back!

Good evening everyone, Yesterday I wanted to go to a restaurant with my friends. We were served by a waiter with a beard and dark hair who behaved very unprofessionally. While he was taking our order, he was eating and drinking alcoholic beverages himself. I cannot recommend this restaurant as such behavior can spoil the evening, mood and appetite.

We called on Saturday lunchtime and were able to get a table for 1.5 hours in the evening. Yes, the prices are quite high, but it's worth it. Everything we ordered was outstanding. You can taste the quality of the food. The service staff was very accommodating. The only drawback: the tables are very close to each other, it's cozy. Whether you like it or not, everyone has to decide for themselves. We would definitely come back Went there and really enjoyed the evening.

Very tasty pizzas, traditionally Neapolitan.

We were here on Saturday evening and had reserved a table in the afternoon. The pizza was good, but the price was rather high. Price-performance but ok. The drinks are definitely overpriced. We think we paid €7 for tap water in a glass carafe. We didn't find the service very nice and in the end we were charged too much... unfortunately we only noticed this afterwards when we did the math. That was really annoying, so overall it was a mediocre experience.

A must for every pizza lover in Karlsruhe. Super tasty pizzas and appetizers. The dessert was also something special! The cocktails afterwards were great! Thank you! We'll definitely be back

We were here on Saturday evening, the Tartufo pizza and the others we had were first class. The appetizers were also great! There is nothing like this anywhere else and we were super happy with the selection. In terms of atmosphere, it's a bit cramped and loud, but you can still have a good conversation. For anyone who loves Neapolitan pizza, this is the place to be.

Really authentic Neapolitan pizza ❤️ The edge is nice and thick and fluffy and thin in the middle. The ingredients are fresh and delicious. Except for the mushrooms, which left a lot to be desired in terms of taste. But whatever, the rest was delicious. Overall, they are quite powerful due to the very thick edge and the cheese not used sparingly. The atmosphere is very nice, inside and outside. Outside there are only metal chairs without much decoration, but there is a nice little alley with lots of lanterns & co., which is decorated with other restaurants and bars. It's lovely to sit outside. There aren't many places overall, which is why it's worth making a reservation. The only 2 drawbacks: The types of pizzas take some getting used to (be careful: not all pizzas have tomato sauce! It has to be specifically written so that it is on it). I miss a standard pizza with two ingredients, like ham and mushrooms. Also, it is quite expensive. The pizzas are still ok, but the wine is almost outrageously expensive. Overall, a nice experience and we'll be back, even if not often.

Went spontaneously on a Friday evening without making a reservation and at least got the “spare seat” right by the stairs. I found the map a bit unwieldy, why is this thing poster size?? But there is a good selection and also a good combination of traditional and new daring (with pistachio cream, for example) After we ordered, the pizza arrived in no time, very pleasant :) As for the pizza itself: it wasn't particularly good, but it wasn't bad either. However, I would have expected better for the price. It feels like it's a wet, muddy floor with far too much cheese, especially in the middle, but that's probably a matter of taste. But what probably bothered me the most was that what felt like dozens of waiters kept rushing past us that evening, which created a very hectic atmosphere. (We hadn't sat for a minute before the waitress wanted to take the entire order) But that wasn't the only place where work was done quickly: about 3-4 minutes after we had finished eating - the total stay up to that point had still been less than 15 minutes - a lady came directly with an EC device and asked if we finally wanted to pay. Yeah, we did that, got out quickly and swore we would never come back😂 So if you want a restaurant visit that's quicker than a drive-thru, this is a great place to go. Generally a very stressful situation, which in the best case scenario should not be the end result of an otherwise relaxed restaurant visit. Too bad!

I love pizza - especially Mama Lina's! One of the best I've ever eaten so far.

There were 4 of us there. The waiting time until we even ordered was very long. My girlfriend's aperitif was inedible (way too much syrup). The starter was overpriced and looked and tasted like it was pre-seasoned. Simply disappointing if you come from the restaurant yourself. The pizzas... What can I say about that? A pizza came wrong. Was taken away and returned incorrectly 30 seconds later. Then complained again and the same pizza came back (the right topping was worthless thrown on it). Pizzas themselves tasteless, the dough is not yet fully baked in some places, but already burnt in others. The burrata was not good in taste. Service was also a letdown. Long waiting time, no apology for the wrong pizza, no accommodation. In general there was simply no service. No recommendations, no asking how it tastes, nothing. The ambience… phew, what can I say. We sat on the terrace. The flowers next to our table were completely wilted and dry. The tables are so close together that it was like walking in a labyrinth to get out. All in all, a lot of hype about nothing. If you want authentic Italian pizza, go somewhere else.

Three of us were there spontaneously today. Didn't reserve but still got a spot. The pizza is really very good, not the biggest but very good. The price is ok though. The service was the opposite, there were two gentlemen on site, one ice cold, the other simply unfriendly, not the way you treat guests. The location in the alley is still nice. It's a shame we won't be back because of the service even though the food was great.

They say it has the best Neapolitan pizza in town. The two of us were there spontaneously on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. and getting a place was no problem. The large shrink-wrapped menus looked a bit unsightly. My chair slipped into a hole on the terrace and I almost hurt myself. A nice shop inside. The pizza prosciutto for 12.50 came very quickly and looked really good. But what was also noticeable was that the edge always looked completely different on each table. 0.0 Stability in the product. The pizza was TOO thin in the middle or soggy from too much, too sweet tomato sauce and too much cheese. The cheese quickly became very tasteless and overshadowed the ham anyway, which was far too little and also atypical under the cheese... the edge was nice and thick and somewhat airy, but far too bulky and doughy for top neapolitana. The flavor was ok too… and too much semolina stuck to the dough.

I was there on Saturday at the Hirschhoffest with two friends. We initially waited 20 minutes until we could place our order. After another 20 minutes, our starter arrived (without plates and without cutlery) and when we asked if they would please check on our drinks, we were told by the unfriendly waitress with a long black ponytail that we could see that it was full. After the appetizer was cleared away, we waited another 30 minutes for the pizza. First 1 of 3 was served. When we asked, we were always put off. Conclusion: Food is delicious but the service is catastrophic.

I can highly recommend the vegetariana without cheese with tomato sauce -vegan- instead (be sure to order it separately, the nice waitress gave me the tip)!

The pizza was okay, the service could be improved and the price-performance ratio was correspondingly poor. For me, a pizza needs real olive oil, but what we got was definitely not olive oil 😂 unfortunately not worth a second visit for me.

The pizza was really delicious. But also very small for the prices. They may not seem so small in the pictures, but the plates they were on were the smallest plates I've ever eaten a pizza from in a restaurant. The service wasn't really good either, we felt like we were processed quickly to make room for the next people. Unfortunately everything from the service to the food was a complete disaster. We made a reservation and were assigned a table outside. Unfortunately, we had to wait a long time when it was over 30 degrees - we were actually forgotten - and the restaurant wasn't full. The waitress was completely overwhelmed and unmotivated. We then drew attention to ourselves and were finally able to order after 25 minutes. We then had our drinks after another 10 minutes of waiting. Your lunch offer was only explained to us when we ordered and not when we were given the menu with the sentence: “You can save money there!” - we found it to be worded a bit inappropriately. The iced tea (lemon) we ordered was inedible - far too sour. The pizza we ordered was baked a little too dark in one place and both pizzas were dry. There was basically a lack of tomato sauce and some basic Italian seasoning. What worked well was redeeming the Neotaste voucher (dessert). The tiramisu was delicious. Despite everything, we were super disappointed. I've been there several times - but the quality of the food and the service have deteriorated significantly.

The pizza was too small for the price and they also skimped on everything else on the pizza. I had ordered a pizza with basil pesto and burrata and I received a carelessly topped pizza with some pulled burrata and a dark green pesto that tasted like Lidl pesto from a can. There was no way this pesto was fresh. Salt was also missing on all pizzas. The music in the store was way too loud and disturbing. I won't go here again.

Very good quality of ingredients! Super tasty dough, unfortunately the edge is often a little too dark, but I still highly recommend the restaurant 💫

17:15 Uhr, Drinnen leer, Draußen 4 Tische von ca 20 Stück besetzt, haben uns zu zweit an 4 er Tisch gesetzt, weil das der Einzige Tisch im Schatten war. Nuja, der Kellner verwies uns auf einen 2 er Tisch, sind dann gegangen … Wollten nicht weiter stören.

Unfortunately the pizzas were far too small for the price. We saved money and hardly put any toppings on the pizza. The ambience is mediocre. The tables and chairs are far too close together, so there is hardly any space. There was also no soap in the toilet to wash your hands thoroughly. Especially in the catering industry, there is nothing more important than hygiene! Unfortunately very disappointing and I will not visit this restaurant again!

Food and location great Unfortunately, the staff are a bit overwhelmed when the outdoor area is open and unfortunately a bit fake friendly. Uniform clothing for the staff would be nice, you get the feeling that someone just comes to the table. And tiramisu is good but definitely not worth €12

Well... the whole thing is pushed a bit... the somewhat expensive prices alone don't make it a good restaurant. Pizza tasted okay...the edges were burnt in places...you could see that on many of the pizzas that were being carried past us. The space was very cramped...we rarely had to bend our elbows while eating. Addendum on the second visit....food and drinks were incorrectly billed to the credit card....I was assured on the spot that the amount was not debited but canceled...this was not the case. ...I mistakenly paid once for 4 people....and then again the correct bill for 2 people. Despite repeated requests by email, no refund.....credit card bill....receipt....no refund....after almost 2 months. An absolute no-go for me. Cash wasn't even possible that evening. Since no one in the store feels responsible, I now feel compelled to write this in my review. I will not enter this store again.

Pizza was good with interesting options. It had a nice crust but a bit soggy for my taste. Service is friendly and the vibe inside is also cozy. Great place for a chilled dinner :)

Food was good. Unfortunately, the seating is very cramped. There were four of us there and we wanted to pay in pairs. We were accidentally charged for the entire invoice amount, but we only noticed this after paying (by card). The waiter assured us that it would not be deducted from our account. So of course we paid our part of the bill. A few days later we discovered that the entire bill plus our share had been debited from our account. Of course, we reported this immediately, but unfortunately nothing has been refunded to us so far (despite repeated requests), even though it is obvious that something went wrong. For this reason we won't go there anymore.

We waited over an hour for our food even though the shop was half empty. I got the wrong pizza and then another 15 minutes later a pizza with raw dough. At that point I didn't feel like waiting for another pizza, especially because the person sitting opposite me had already finished eating by then. When I mentioned this to the very slow and quite rude service, she asked if I would like another drink on the house since mine was already empty. My still water, after 1.5 hours in the restaurant. However, I rejected this oh-so-kind offer because I just wanted to go home. I've been there several times and always found the pizza to be okay, which partially compensated for the poor service so far. However, today it was so bad and, after another price increase, so overpriced and unjustified that I won't set foot in this store again.

It was our first time at Gina's in Karlsruhe and we absolutely loved it! Until now we only knew the Neapolitan pizzas from Mamma Lina in Baden-Baden, but the pizzas at Gina's are in no way inferior to them. The goodwill of the restaurant is particularly noteworthy. I accidentally ordered the "wrong" pizza, "Regina" instead of "Reginella", so definitely my fault. When the pizza came and I was visibly taken aback, I was offered without hesitation to make the "real" one again - at no extra charge. Absolutely not a given. At this point a big THANK YOU again! Keep it up. :)

Service was very mediocre and the Neapolitan pizza, although tasty, has deteriorated significantly compared to before. The restaurant deletes reviews that don't suit them because of "defamation". Maybe it would be better to look at your own nose instead.

Noch nie so einen schlechten Service erlebt ... 30 min gewartet, bis eine Kellnerin kam, diese war dann aber nicht für uns zuständig. Essen ging dann dafür relativ schnell. Danach wieder das gleiche Spiel, keine Frage um ein 2. Getränk oder eine evtl Nachspeise. Massenabfertigung Hallo. Schnell Schnell essen und dann sollte man schnell wieder gehen. Allg. laufen die Kellner/innen mit Scheuklappen durch die Gegend, wenn sie angesprochen werden gibts eine unfreundliche Antwort. Bei meiner Freundin war eine Ameise im Getränk, Antwort vom Service: "Ist ja nicht mein Problem" - NIE WIEDER ... Preis/Leistung absolut nicht gerechtfertigt ! Alkoholfreie Cocktails kosten um die 15€, keinen Unterschied zu den Cocktails mit Alkohol. Pro Person ist man am Abend für 1 Pizza mit Getränk mind. 30€ los.

Puh, ich weiß eigentlich nicht wo ich anfangen soll. Positiv waren die Vorspeisen: Antipasti und Frutti di Mare, wobei ich es in einer Pizzeria schon auch kleinlich finde, dass nicht etwas Brot oder Pizzabrot zur Vorspeise gereicht wird, gerade auch für die cremigen Komponenten. Der Service ist eine absolute Katastrophe, man kann es leider nicht anders sagen. Angeschlagene Gläser, das Falsche Wasser, kein Besteck. Und das bei 4 Tischen, die besetzt waren. Die Pizzen waren nach meinem Dafürhalten nicht frisch. Zumindest waren unsere weich, nicht annähernd ein bisschen kross und vor allem auch nicht heiß. Die Karte liest sich wirklich gut, hat aber leider nichts mit der Realität zu tun. Alles in allem leider eine riesige Enttäuschung. Kann es nicht empfehlen und das ist schade, denn als reines Ginas war es zuvor wirklich spitze.

This restaurant is located in a cosy and quiet location. The staff is really friendly. Both inside and outside are many seating options. There was no need to reserve a table on a Saturday summer evening. We had some bruschetta to start. And shared a pizza as the main course. Which was in our case more than enough. They also have a wide variety of wines or cocktails available to go with your favorite dish. The toilets are a bit outdated. The oven inside the restaurant adds to a cosy vibe.

The food arrived quickly and the service staff were also very friendly. The pizza was nice and fluffy and there was plenty of cheese on the pizza.

Pricing for starters for 4 people (€55 invoice item for antipasti!)

The pizza was excellent and corresponded to the authentic Neapolitan style - the perfectly airy dough and the fresh, tasty ingredients were completely convincing. Unfortunately, the positive experience was marred by the more than poor service. From the start the operating staff behaved dismissively. Instead of adopting a friendly tone, the waiter first corrected all Italian pronunciations in a condescending tone. Afterwards you were urged to order quickly because the table was only reserved for a limited time. The pizza was served quickly, but as soon as the last of us had taken the last bite, the waiter presented the bill without asking. A leisurely espresso or dessert was out of the question - you felt pressured to leave. The attempt to pay in cash was brusquely rejected with “card only” and I stubbornly tapped the card reader twice. For the intentionally small tip, there wasn't even a thank you, let alone a wish for a nice evening. The restaurant also seems to be a hotspot for influencers; at the neighboring tables people posed for minutes with flashes and numerous poses for photo shoots while they ordered a pizza. Another cheek: The menu only said “Cola” for €4.50, without any size information. But then you were only served a tiny 0.2l bottle. In summary: Great pizza, but the overall experience was more than marred by the unfriendly, almost rude service and the misleading quantities of the drinks. There is an urgent need for improvement in dealing with guests.

Looks cool, pizzas could be seasoned better. Still very tasty, but no wow factor. The waitress seemed to me as if she had no interest in customers.

About the pizza: taste almost perfect. However, the edge is definitely too big/thick for Neapolitan pizza. This makes the pizza a bit small overall. Men may still be hungry afterwards. Now about the service: The restaurant probably wants to be something between hipster and upscale. Lots of young, pretty women who “place” you, then do you order from good old Italian grandpa? I should also like to mention that I kindly wanted to let you know that we might be late by 10-15 (reserved via Open table, it expressly states that the table will be kept free for 20 minutes and that you should call if you are more than 20 minutes late). The lady on the phone said she was so full today and wasn't making any changes/postponements. Um, that wasn't my intention either? I just wanted to be friendly and say you're late? (Travel from 50km extra ONLY to try out the pizza) It's very strange to say that you're not allowed to come. No matter, we got our table and therefore had solid Neapolitan pizza. Ultimately, the trip isn't worth it if you're just looking for pizza, as the Neapolitan pizza can compete in the local area. Plus point: cashless restaurant, like!

Picked up 5 pizzas there yesterday. All pizzas were a taste disaster. 2 out of 5 pizzas had a completely burnt edge... Pizza looks like a Neapolitan pizza with a large edge, but in the middle it is just wobbly and not baked through and is a complete disaster to eat. On my diavolo there were four slices of salami, a few rings of chilli and two burnt Spanish fried peppers that were declared as jalapeno on the menu. Pizza was just wet and dripping. The service wasn't really great either, people who came into the store weren't even greeted properly and were just left standing there even though the 5 pizzas were already ready to be picked up. The waiter walked past us ignorantly several times...never again. Every frozen pizza or pizza from the kebab man is better.

Top pizzas that offer a good variety.

The emphasis here is on fancy and it doesn't do it justice at all. Broken plate and glass, plus an underbaked pizza that unfortunately also failed in terms of taste. It was lunchtime Luckily there's nothing going on, but if you're here in the evening you won't have any privacy. The tables are far too close to each other at a distance of 15cm. So you basically sit at a long table with all the restaurant visitors. As a managing director, you should give this some serious thought. You either have to adjust your prices to the rather poor conditions or take out tables and pay attention to the quality of the dishes and food. Not to mention the ultimately bad service, we were here for lunch for a birthday and the birthday child wasn't even congratulated. You could tell the waitress was in a bad mood and the service was rude. We only received the espresso that came with lunch upon request.

The pizzas look really good. But not in terms of taste at all! My husband had almost no tomato sauce on his Margherita. The pizza tastes like very, very thick, underbaked, yet burnt dough. This was our second time there because we wanted to give it a chance. But, - No - Thank you! Location isn't that great either. Sat at a table for two, but the tables are so close to each other. We were able to hear our neighbors' conversations without any problems.

When we were there, we asked a lady from the service outside if they still had room for us. We were led to the back of the outdoor area to an extremely wobbly table. The service was quite uninterested, sometimes rolling their eyes when asked questions. The pizza tasted really good, the soft drink was from a bottle, but non-carbonated. Also overpriced at €4.50 for 0.2l. A shandy was served in a wheat glass - somehow difficult. But the real hit for us came when we paid. No cash payment possible. We were informed that it was at the front of the door. But since we weren't even at the door, this information completely passed us by. It's not acceptable for us to be refused payment in cash. We simply cannot support or recommend it.

The service employee, Bea, did a great job. We would like to thank her very much for her friendly support throughout the evening. Unfortunately the Bruschettone Classico was not served as ordered. The bruschettone was also topped with burrata, which is not pasteurized, according to previous clarification with the service. So I can't eat it (mistakes can happen, that's out of the question and won't be criticized). When I mentioned this to the serving employee (not Bea), I was dismissed rather snippily and the plate was returned to the kitchen. A short time later I received the plate back, with more tomatoes, but the clearly visible residue of the removed burrata pieces. I reported this again to the service employee who previously served the plate and took it away again. Now visibly uncomfortable/meekly, they apologized to me and then brought me a new bruschettone. This was then handed to me with the words that I didn't have to pay it. That was kind, but it wasn't my goal or my expectation. I would have liked a professional appearance from the service staff and a correspondingly clean execution from the kitchen crew. I also found the increasingly aggressive ringing of the service bell to be unpleasant for both guests and employees. Finally, I would like to say that the pizzas, bruschettone and frittura mista were very tasty.

Absolutely delicious food, pizza like in Napoli, unfortunately the service leaves a lot to be desired, constantly on the cell phone. There were three of us, unfortunately it wasn't possible to serve the food at the same time, after a long wait I started to eat the first pizza, after half of the pizza had already been eaten, we asked if it would take long for the second pizza Because we actually want to eat together, we then received a short, snarky answer with "I'll take a look", after waiting for a while she didn't come back to tell us how long the pizza would take, only after we spoke to her again and waited some more did she explain us soggy the pizza would be open and take longer because it would have a different shape than a normal pizza, my question is why Didn't you just put the first pizza in the oven later, with a baking time of 2 minutes? For the unfriendly and unprofessional service there is neither a tip nor a good feeling about going there again. A simple apology from the waitress would have been enough and not her stroppy and ridiculous arguments as to why the pizza took longer, please revise your homepage to advertise the speed of the pizza, after 15 minutes only the second pizza arrived, even though the house was up on another table was empty! A pity! Potential exists, train employees or hire trained ones!

The location looks more like a club than a restaurant. The music was very loud! Conversations at the table were virtually impossible to have. The volume could not or would not be changed, communication with the waiter was difficult. Then one of the 7 dishes was forgotten, without comment! It's a shame, because we wanted to spend a cozy evening there with the family.

First of all, the food was great. But that was the only thing that evening. Immediately after entering the restaurant, we were greeted by a very unfriendly receptionist. No hello, no good evening, but “Reservation?” We had this too, but we arrived about 15 minutes early and reported this straight away. We were then immediately answered with “that’s very bad”. If we hadn't been so hungry, we would have left again. We were then offered a table between the kitchen and the stairs, which we declined. This was also met with an eye roll. Afterwards we were given a normal place. Unfortunately the tables are very narrow. So you shouldn't expect privacy. The rest of the evening was better. Our waiter (an older gentleman, probably Italian) was very friendly and accommodating. The pizza was also excellent. Only the expensive drinks prices are outrageous.

Guided by the once good performance of Mama Linas, after a long time we ventured into their snack branch in Ginas. Since this has been going on for a while now, I unfortunately cannot accept the argument of an unrehearsed team for the following review. For the evening: We arrived a little early and had to take a seat at the bar, saying we could have a drink there. We would have liked to have done that if only someone had served us. Until we reached our starters, nothing unusual happened, apart from the fact that we immediately noticed how overwhelmed the initially friendly service was with the lack of space. The antipasti and the mussels were served without bread. Admittedly, there's nothing on the menu about bread, but in my gastronomic world that's standard, but good. I may have misunderstood it - because of the loud music - but there was probably no possibility of some bread, only a whole pizza bread. It's a shame I couldn't dip the tasty broth from my mussels. Unfortunately, three mussels were closed, but only marginally. However, the antipasti was consistently delicious. After 1:45 hours the pizzas reached us. What can you say, these were really good, Ginas understands that part of the job. But then unfortunately Gina's weakness became apparent again... the service. And I don't mean to say that we were treated unkindly, just unprofessionally. It's an art to forget every single drink order and try to cash in while we're actually still waiting for our drinks. When the EC card reader went on strike, the evening was perfect. In the end, the store is running smoothly, so Ginas won't be hit hard by losing a customer. Addendum: We sat as far away from the toilets as possible and still had the smell of toilet stone in our noses. Bon appetit

Starters were very mixed in quality. The pizza is a bit strange, the dough tastes good, the edge is waiting to be stuffed with ham or cheese a la Pizza Hut? Friendly service that does its thing.

After reading other reviews that “you are quickly pushed out of the restaurant,” I was a little unsettled at first. Nevertheless, we reserved, arrived, sat down and were served straight away. Drinks took a little time, but were served alongside the food. The service was friendly. I couldn't understand the other reviews, we sat in the restaurant for some time after our main course and were able to enjoy the evening without any problems. Everything was great for us, good food and good cocktails. The pizza had a very nice dough and as an ambitious hobby pizza maker I can only say that the ingredients are of great quality.👍🏼Thank you 😊

Unfortunately the edge of the pizza was quite burnt. The service employee wasn’t interested in our feedback. Pizzas are also quite expensive. Probably won't come here again.

There were 4 of us there and we reserved in advance. The pizza was very tasty but nothing special apart from the thick crust. The ambience is nice, but very dark (but you get an extra lamp to read the menu). The service was very nice and attentive. Since I didn't manage to do everything, I had the rest of the pizza wrapped, which was then simply wrapped in aluminum foil - when I pay €17 for a pizza, I expect different packaging. Whether I will visit Mamma Lina in Karlsruhe again: I think no.

Amoente is just too tight. Service... Waiting times too long despite reservations. And that already twice. But the pizzas are really great

We ate there on Saturday with three people and a small dog. The service was great and immediately offered our little dog water. The pizzas are very individual and incredibly tasty! We'll stop by again on our next visit to Karlsruhe. 5 Stars!!
