I visited this restaurant two years ago and it was very delicious, but I went back last night. So disappointing. The pork was not fresh, much like frozen meat. The amount of food has also become very small. When raising questions, the service staff also had an attitude that it was none of my business... I will never come here again, and I will also recommend friends not to come here.

For just €10.90 you can get a large selection of delicious dishes here. At this price in Karlsruhe you can only get a kebab with a drink - and often without any special taste. You're much better served here if you have some time. **Opening hours:** Another plus point is the generous opening hours. The 5 Star Restaurant is the only all-you-can-eat provider in Karlsruhe that is open from midday to 3 p.m. This is particularly practical for a leisurely lunch. **Atmosphere:** Unfortunately, points are deducted for the ambience. The restaurant is very reminiscent of a Chinese restaurant from the 90s, which is simply no longer up to date. Modernization couldn't hurt here. **Selection:** Another small negative point is the relatively limited selection at the lunch buffet. Of course you can't expect the world at this price, but a little more variety would be welcome. **Parking options:** The parking options are also not optimal. I parked in front of Akoya, which is also a Chinese restaurant. However, it is much more expensive and tastes identical. The restaurant is very old and the service is so-so. Unfortunately, the toilets are pretty dilapidated and the large outdoor terrace looks cheap and dingy. Overall not really recommended.

I last visited on Sunday. The soup was cold, duck breast without any spicy seasonings, rather salty. For some reason there is no option to pay with Mastercard, this causes problems because there is not even a warning about it. The quality has noticeably deteriorated.

Sowohl das Essen, als auch das Personal kann nicht besser als 3,5 bewertete werden. Wir können dieses Lokal leider nicht weiterempfehlen.

The food is delicious. I had dumplings as a starter and number 80 as my main course, which included fried beef and rice. The boss and the employees are very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is inviting.

Finally there is the lunch buffet again. (Mon-Fri) Large selection, good food, friendly service, good value for money.

Schönes und gutes China-Restaurant. Wir waren zum Mittagessen da und haben uns für das Mittagsbuffet entschieden, was uns sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Was unbedingt zu erwähnen ist, ist die Freundlichkeit des Personals. Alles in Allem super.

The boss lady likes to say offensive words in a joking tone, and she knows how to "don't hit the smiling person". Several times, when there was a problem with the dishes, she would not solve it even if I asked her to do so. She could always make excuses. I can accept the price increase. Top, the food was very good, table reservations and service were also excellent. The top line was still with the old owner, with the new owner it was almost underground. We reserved a table and it worked! The service tried hard, but was almost clueless. Four main courses and two starters (Peking soup, dumpling) were ordered. The soup came after 1 hour 15 minutes, the dumplings 20 minutes later. Actually, shortly afterwards a main course and then nothing more (approx. 30 minutes). After pointing out that we had come to eat together, food was actually delivered to the table, 3 times the wrong one! The fact is, the food was mediocre, my hot pot beef wasn't as stated on the menu, sour-spicy, but just sour. Even our non-spicy eater found it to be nothing. My conclusion: Unfortunately it's no longer suitable, it was a great restaurant before! The evening for the cat.

The food is ok and the restaurant looks good. I don't like the entrance to the restaurant, but there's not much you can do about it. They also increase prices sharply. For this price I can now find something better.

Service was on the slower side, but I assume it is due to lack of staff due to holidays. I expected more of taste (more spiced) since I ordered something which said spicy.

Wir hatten 4 Gerichte. 2 davon waren ok, 2 davon nicht. Im gebratenem Reis mit Huhn war das Fleisch teilweise roh. Das geht gar nicht. Die gebratenen Nudeln schwammen im Fett. Geschmack daher null. Wir reklamierten und man berechnete und das Gericht mit dem rohen Fleisch wenigstens nicht. Trotzdem - hier sieht man uns nicht mehr.

Ich hatte Lammtopf, aber das Lammfleisch waren keine Fleischstücke, sondern sah aus wie Kutteln. Es war sehr warm im Restaurant, alle Fenster und Türen waren geschlossen. Wenn die Toilette eine Visitenkarte eines Restaurants sein soll, dann hat das keine fünf Sterne, der Boden in der Toilette war schmutzig und es hat gestunken. Wenn man die Treppe benutzt, funktioniert das Licht im Treppenhaus nicht. Also mit einem 5 Sterne Restaurant, wie der Name vorgibt, hat das eigentlich nichts zu tun.

Wir haben das Restaurant erst vor kurzem besucht und sind sehr zufrieden. Das Essen schmeckt ausgezeichnet, der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich und man sitzt sehr schön im Innen - und Außenbereich. Wir haben ein Familienmitglied das nicht chinesisch ist und auch hierfür gibt es eine kleine Auswahl an Kinderspeisen wie Pommes. Es kommen viele Asiatische Gäste, was für und auch ein sicheres Zeichen für eine authentische Küche ist. Wir kommen bestimmt noch öfter und freuen uns bereits auf ein Wiedersehen.

War sehr lecker das Hähnchen war richtig zart und die Bedienung war sehr freundlich

Wir hatten Hühnerfleisch (mit Knochen) mit sehr vielen trockenen Chilis und Pfefferkörnern, das ist sehr scharf und sehr lecker. Viele Lokale haben kaum scharfe Gerichte für meinen Geschmack, doch hier sollte man dieses Gericht bestellen. Wer Spinat mag, bekommt hier SEHR leckeren Spinat mit Knoblauch. Freundliche Service Dame die auch sehr lustig ist. Sie bringt uns immer zum Lachen.

Das Essen finde ich sehr lecker. Auch meine Begleitung war zufrieden. Manche Gerichte sind etwas spicy, aber für unser Empfinden nicht überwürzt. Es gibt viele asiatische Spezialitäten. Ich denke deshalb sind auch viele asiatische Gäste anzutreffen. Generell ist es immer gut besucht, aber nicht so stark das man in kleiner Runde reservieren muss. Die Atmosphäre ist eher gutbürgerlich, als gehoben. Für ein Geschäftsessen oder ein schickes Date würde ich es daher nicht empfehlen, aber für ein gemütliches Zusammensein mit Freunden und Familie finde ich es passend. Der Service variiert nach Bedienung und Gästeanzahl im Restaurant. Heute war er leider etwas schwach, aber auch nicht auffallend schlecht. Preisleistung ist gut. Die Räume im Restaurant und das WC sind sauber. Vegetarische Speisen findet man auf der Karte, die Auswahl könnte aber tatsächlich größer sein. Ruhigere Plätze mit einer Trennwand gibt es im hinterem Teil, neben der Bar, obwohl ich es auch vorne noch nie als übermässig laut empfunden habe. Das Treppenhaus repräsentiert nicht das Restaurant, wirkt aber wirklich sehr schmutzig und sogar etwas abschreckend. Hier sollte man (ggf zusammen mit der Hausverwaltung) nachbessern.

Die Mittagskarte gilt hier auch an Samstagen. Die Preise daher völlig ok. Geschmacklich leider komplett auf Europa ausgerichtet mit den dann bekannten typischen Gerichten. Bestellt man scharf, kommt es trotzdem nur minimal schärflich. Wenn man das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis sieht, aber ok. Nette Bedienung. Hunde dürfen mit. Parken kostenfrei wenn man die Karte im Restaurant abstempeln läßt.

Waren zu 5. hier. Service sehr freundlich. Das Essen im Vergleich zu früher eher Mittelmaß. Das scheint auch vielen anderen früheren Gästen aufgefallen zu sein, da wir am Samstag Abend hier waren und nur wenige Tische belegt waren. Früher musste man an diesem Abend reservieren. Schade....
