The food was a disgrace; everything was so greasy that we were still feeling nauseous the next day. The sauce for the 8-degree fish platter was sweet and inedible, and the fish and fried potatoes were completely unseasoned. The "homemade" garlic dip with the bread tasted like salad dressing. Smart people don't order anything here! The prices are through the roof, and it's completely unjustified... We haven't had such a bad meal in a long time. It's a shame; it spoiled our day by the sea. The coffee was okay, the service very friendly, and the view beautiful, but that was about all the positive experiences we had at this place.

I have celiac disease and must strictly adhere to a gluten-free diet. I did some research before my visit and went to this restaurant based on a recommendation. When I first asked, I was immediately assured that gluten-free food wouldn't be a problem. Upon further inquiry, however, it turned out that the waiter didn't even know what gluten-free meant—and they showed no real interest in understanding my concerns. This didn't inspire confidence in me. So, to be on the safe side, I just ordered a Coke. It's a shame, because I was really looking forward to a small meal. I'm disappointed.

Just the thing after a trip to the mudflats. Rich menu, nice service and a view of the sea (if it is there). Everyone enjoyed the fish dishes. For kids there was pasta with sauce, what more could you want?

Great restaurant with a great location, right on the beach on a hill so you can look out to sea! The service was great, very personable and pleasant! The food was good, but not great. I had the beef burger, which was good in itself, although the meat could have been a little better quality, but otherwise everything was good! However, there was also a vegetarian burger, for example, which I can't comment on the taste of, but I also thought it was great that there was this alternative! There was absolutely nothing wrong with the drinks, the Aperol Spritz was very tasty in terms of the mixing ratio and also beautifully presented. We'd love to come back!

A very nice restaurant with many specialties from the sea. But tarte flambée, castles and some gluten-free dishes are also offered. Drinks a bit expensive but ok. Since it's all about self-reflection, only 3 stars for service.

Unfortunately, the production of a mushroom cream schnitzel ended in a cold roux. My wife's food was therefore inedible. My fish plate was piping hot on one side and cold on the other... strange thing when it's freshly made! When asked about the mushroom cream sauce without mushrooms, we were brought cold roux with canned mushrooms. What to say: A restaurant full of tourists that you don't have to go back to. Furthermore, it is divided into a 2 class society! Half do self-service and the other half get service. Too bad for the campsite. What was good and remarkable, however, was that we were reimbursed the entire amount of the food and drinks in cash.

One star because it's mandatory! Food and drinks completely overpriced. Don't they know that you can also shop in the supermarket and cook fresh food in the camper?

There is only one star for the beautiful view. Even for a self-service restaurant, I don't expect any pressed meat, ready-made sauce and absolutely greasy fries for a dish for 19.90 euros. What a shame! Definitely not again for us.

We were there around lunchtime and had an apple strudel and a latte macchiato. It was very tasty. We were there with our dog, who was immediately greeted in a friendly manner and was allowed to come in with us. Due to the slightly elevated location, you have a really good view of the sea in this beautiful ambience. The service was also very, very nice and attentive. If you're at the beach anyway, it's definitely worth taking a short detour there too. We'd love to come back.

Slightly elevated great location with views over the beach and to the sea. Ordering in the restaurant with beepers issued for self-collection shortens the waiting time, even when there is a large crowd. The service staff are very friendly and helpful. The dishes were all beautifully prepared and very tasty. Our new favorite place after a long walk on the beach.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the mayo & ketchup packets that were unfortunately available here. You can eat and drink averagely well here. Hello. Unfortunately we are not satisfied. The first time we were there I gave the lady a tip and you didn't even get a thank you for giving it. I found that impossible. Then we were there again and you get frozen fries for a high price...That's just unbelievable! This time there was no tip. The waiter repeated the amount twice, probably with the hope that I would say more, but sorry, we won't go there again. Too bad

We like to be at 8 degrees east at any time of the year. The service is always very nice and courteous and the view of the sea is A1! Unfortunately it was so cold in the guest room yesterday that we had to leave our jackets on despite the heating. Why do you leave both entrance doors wide open? Unfortunately the vestibule doesn't help either. Every time the icy wind came into the dining room.

We ate there once in the summer and now also in the winter. Unfortunately we were very disappointed as the menu was reduced to a four page selection, half of which consisted of drinks. The schnitzel, which is only available there in summer, was nice and big, but completely flattened and was served with a sauce that only contained five mushrooms. The pasta was served with a tomato sauce that tasted as if a pack of pureed tomatoes had been diluted with water and had no seasoning. Since the selection was very limited in winter, this time we decided on the currywurst with fries. Unfortunately, this was also disappointing. The curry sauce was just as watery as the sauce for the pasta in summer. There was also no curry on the sausage, and since the sauce was so thin, the fries were swimming in it and were completely soggy. The plate of "fish snack" was also disappointing. The squid rings didn't taste good and the kibbelings were so greasy that when they were cut open the fat ran out and the meat fell out of the breading. When we heard the 'ping' of the microwave, we were brought a chocolate soufflé that we hadn't even actively ordered. We had previously asked whether there were still waffles available, but were told no because the machines were switched off three quarters of an hour before closing time. We then discussed with the waiter whether we could have something else, like perhaps the chocolate soufflé. The hot chocolate soufflé with a liquid chocolate center, hot cherries and cream costs €10. But what we got was a 5 cm microwave cake without a liquid core, served with frozen raspberries and two heaps of canned spray cream. This time the atmosphere was not a nice one for eating. As soon as you entered it seemed very hectic, as tables and chairs were being cleaned and moved throughout the entire meal time.

Still open during the cold season. Get some fresh air at the stand, warm up again and enjoy the food. The restaurant is popular. The campers like to use it. There is more hustle and bustle here than in the center of Schillig. Dogs and children are welcome.

Went here today with a friend to eat waffles. We ordered one after the other. My son and I got our waffles and would have been finished long ago if we hadn't waited and asked where the other waffles were, who were already 30 minutes late. The service was really bad today, no one knew what the other was doing. Too bad.

We were very satisfied. The food came super quickly and was super tasty. Our special requests were taken into account and I can recommend the restaurant without reservations. We have. Nothing to complain about and would love to come back. The view is great. Directly in front of it is the large playground. I had the chicken pulled pork bowl and couldn't stop eating even though I was full.

We ate here spontaneously (i.e. without pre-ordering) on ​​October 28th, 2024. There were two other tables occupied when we arrived. The service was good. The food was very, very good and I really liked the atmosphere too! We had the fish snack as a starter, the shrimp pasta and the pulled pork chicken bowl as the main course and the chocolate soufflé and the 8⁰ tart as dessert. Deserved five stars from me and my girlfriend!

We had dinner there with 7 people this evening, we decided to do so at short notice and were able to reserve a table. The staff, the atmosphere and the food were really top. We had a variety of dishes and everyone loved them. Price/performance was also right. A successful last evening!! Thanks for that!!

NO !!! Not recommended!!! It's better to go next door to VICTORBUR (large selection), even if the view from here offers more. BUT the soft serve ice cream was subterraneanly disgusting with the apple strudel (whose crust was soggy instead of crispy). Prices for something like this... simply outrageous. Selection of pastries is 0 (boring cheesecake + muffins) and that right at the beginning of the actual café time on a Sunday. Only the Asian lady at the counter was nice! The food was good. However, the meat in the pulled purk burger was almost cold and the Pomeranian was a bit greasy. The many flies in the restaurant were very annoying. The service was very nice.

We enter this restaurant and are greeted by Asian people. Probably an Asian restaurant? No, far from it. Neither the furnishings nor the food are typical of a “German Asian restaurant”. The service staff nevertheless demonstrated two essential Asian characteristics. Politeness and hard work. The typical North German food with an occasional Asian influence - for example the fish bowl, excellent. Nowhere have I ever eaten better housewife-style matjes. Also the redfish, glassy, ​​juicy and with a crispy breading. Plus the view of the beach and the sea, priceless. The prices are down-to-earth and affordable. Our dishes came to €17.50 each. Large beer - 0.5 - around €5.5.

Restaurant sehr schön, Lage top, essen war sehr lecker. Bedienung überaus freundlich. Der linke Teil des Restaurants war Selbstbedienung, der rechte war mit Bedienung. Sehr zu empfehlen

Wir waren während unserem Urlaub zwei mal dort, als Familie essen. Erst wird bestellt und bezahlt und man bekommt seine Getränke und den Piepser für sein Essen. Alles ganz ungezwungen und entspannt. Wir hatten einmal das vegane Curry, Kindercheeseburger und meine Mutter hatte ein Fischbrötchen. Das vegane Curry war lecker, leicht pikant und nicht scharf aber mit viel frischem Gemüse. Zu den Fleischgerichten kann ich leider nichts sagen aber der Kinderburger kommt in ordentlicher Größe mit frischer Gurke und Tomate. Allen hat es geschmeckt L. Am nächsten Tag gab es nochmal Cheeseburger, den mediterranen Gemüseburger sowie die vegane Bowl. Alles wieder frisch und lecker. Für die Lage sind die Preise alle super in Ordnung. Wir waren super zufrieden und ich würde wieder kommen.

The vegan penne was good, the vegetables were crunchy but unfortunately quite bland overall. Not exactly cheap in terms of price, but not an overpriced rip-off like other snack bars in a comparable location.

The food is delicious, great ambience and the prices, location and staff are great. However, there was a strange salt behavior when eating... noodles were hardly salted, but other dishes were over-salted, which was a shame. Otherwise everything is good.

Wir waren 2 x im August im 8 Grad Ost essen. Schönes Lokal, sehr schöne Aussicht und das Essen war wirklich gut. Sehr negativ ist uns beide Male ein mittelalter kleinerer Herr des Restaurants aufgefallen, welcher wohl die Gäste einweisen will und Plätze zuteilt, dies aber in einer sehr, sehr unfreundlichen Art tut. Dies tut diesem schönen Lokal nicht gut und ist in dieser Art auch nicht angemessen!

We ate there twice. If you didn't make a reservation, you should probably do so, at least during peak travel times. But we got a table without any problems. The food is varied, tasty and not overpriced. The service is friendly and quick. We didn't have to wait long for the food either. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the sea and the beach.

Unfortunately, 8° East has decreased significantly since last year. The portions are significantly smaller, but significantly more expensive. But the food is still delicious. The service staff were all very nice. It also has to be said that there was a plague of beetles. There were (meat) flies and other small creepy crawlies everywhere. Even in the toilets. Which...were just adequately clean. If you can stand the price, critters and lack of hygiene, I can recommend it. However, I wouldn't go there again.

Unfortunately, my husband and I couldn't eat together because we didn't order together - there were a few minutes between us. After waiting half an hour for my food (which had to be paid for directly when ordering and I wasn't told that the order would take longer) we left the restaurant. We definitely won't eat there again.

There was long blonde hair in the food and none of us are blonde and there was also long blonde hair wrapped around a glass of water. The food was served again, but it had a bitter aftertaste. Unfortunately it's also too expensive been.

Compared to last year, there has been a significant drop in the quality of the food. On the 8GradOst salad there was a lot less fish and tasteless frozen shrimp. And that on the North Sea. Very unfortunate. Otherwise nice, good view and clean.

When you're on vacation, you always visit the restaurant in question with a great view. Finally ordered a schnitzel dish. Don't order schnitzel there! The food came quickly, the portion was generous, the schnitzel was wafer-thin in a mixture of breadcrumbs and no taste. A bald kung-fu master looked grimly at the fact that all of his subjects were serving the guests properly. Unfortunately, the quality of the restaurant and the dishes has decreased significantly... We regret it very much... The scenery makes up for it.

We had a really delicious meal here. The following dishes can be seen in the photos: Farmer's pan and plaice fillet Finkenwerder style with bacon and crabs. From the window seat you have a very nice view of the entire stand area. I would particularly like to emphasize the very friendly and fast service. We are already looking forward to the next visit.
