Unfortunately, we were very disappointed today for the first time, after we normally enjoy eating here regularly with the whole family and even booked a buffet for private celebrations. The breakfast, however, doesn't do justice to the price or the otherwise really delicious food. The rolls and croissants are all baked goods that only go into the oven after ordering. Addition: The only strange thing in this context is that when I asked, the waitress in charge confirmed that the rolls were baked goods. Maybe it was the form of the day; However, you should still deal honestly with the customer.

We had dinner there with 4 people last night. Service and ambience were great. Unfortunately the kitchen ruined the good atmosphere. The portions didn't match the price. A little more on the plate given the prices would have been good. But the quality of two meals was not at all good. The citizens of Bun were as hard and dry as a piece of toast and the pomnes were too salty. The goulash was partly tough and stringy. Next time we'd rather go to the Nordbahnhof in Krefeld. The price and performance are right

We celebrated our wedding at the beginning of May this year in the 1857 inn and what can we say, we are completely satisfied. Our expectations were exceeded; we haven't experienced such good service in a long time. We are completely satisfied and would choose the Lower Rhine Inn 1857 again and again. Thank you very much for the beautiful location, service and the delicious food.

Because of food intolerances, we couldn't eat the burger sauces (why does EVERYTHING have to be with Knofi these days?). We were offered (!!) to swap the sauces for mayo or ketchup (in words: SWAP!!). What wasn't said was that we ended up with this "exchange" on the bill and had to pay extra. Nasty trick to get paid for an offer to exchange a special sauce for a finished product.

We always enjoy going to 1857 and have eaten and celebrated there even after our wedding :) The food is varied and always very good! The staff are friendly, polite and always in a good mood :) If you want to have a nice evening in a beautiful environment with loving decorations, this is the right place for you :)

I would be interested to know whether, after reading Arusyak Lau's review, you immediately received a request from a provider that commercially offers the deletion of bad Google reviews? If so, we know why Arusyak Lau rates almost everyone poorly.

The four of us had a great meal and the service was really friendly! The young colleague who was in charge of serving us (and everyone else too) was very nice, flexible, informative, knowledgeable and authentically friendly 👍 (Maundy Thursday 2024) The acoustics alone were strenuous when the guest room was completely full (!) (through the back) (congratulations on the full house!). But this should only be forwarded to those responsible for the interior design with a request for ideas on how to remedy the situation... We will all love coming back to the great food again and again! Thanks! Have fun and continue to be successful! P. S.: By the way, I will always be happy to come here to eat with my favorite people!

The food was very good, the drinks are a bit overpriced. But you also have a nice atmosphere. It's a real shame that you have to pay at 10:45 p.m. and are politely but firmly asked to leave shortly after 11:00 p.m. Reason: we close at 11 p.m. We were 4 people and ate and drank for €250 and would have liked to stay a little longer🤷🏼‍♂️😔

I am not sure. I had a steak with herb butter and fries. The steak was amazing! The herb butter and fries were totally over salted and I couldn't eat them. At 8:15 p.m. some of us (there were 18 of us) wanted to order dessert. This was rejected with the reason: “We don’t make dessert for so many guests.” If we had seated the 8 people who wanted dessert at 2 other tables, our order would have been taken. From this I conclude: You have enough income and are not dependent on the guests' food. We also had to accept longer waiting times for the drinks. Basically it is very loud in the restaurant! For the reasons mentioned above, I wouldn't necessarily recommend the restaurant. Maybe the impression is different if there are two or four of you eating there.

Cozy restaurant, I met my colleagues there for dinner. Ambiance is good, the service staff were friendly and quick, the food wasn't really my thing. I ordered schnitzel with mushroom sauce, fries and mayo. The mushroom sauce urgently needs to be “worked on”. A disaster in terms of taste. Unfortunately I have to say it like that. Please modify!! Price-performance is ok.

After we spontaneously couldn't get a place in December, we now tried making a reservation again. Unfortunately I can't understand the hype. The prices are for the area and what is on the plate at the end is completely exorbitant. Unfortunately, restaurateurs have probably started to take off. The service staff was also not adequate for this price range. The main course was generally okay in terms of taste but very manageable. Two tiny pork schnitzels and a few fried potatoes. The sad highlight, however, was the dessert variation for two, which was neither convincing in terms of quantity nor taste. Luckily this voucher booklet was free, otherwise we would have been very annoyed for €21. The ambience is basically great, but the concept is not well rounded. Therefore unfortunately only 3 stars.

We were able to book a table for 3 (including a high chair) online at relatively short notice on a Sunday (5 p.m.). The restaurant is family and child friendly and has a small play area with various games and things to paint. The staff is very nice and always asks if everything is OK or if you have a request without being intrusive. The food and drinks are very tasty, so the slightly higher prices are justified. We ordered the rump steak with fried onions and croquettes and the chicken cordon bleu with fried potatoes and a side salad. Everything was perfect. Even the croquettes (crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, not dry). We have nothing to complain about and would dine there again at any time.

01/2024 The guest room is spacious = I like it. This gives a good feeling of privacy. The food was very good, very tasty, fresh and sufficient portions. The service was very courteous and attentive. We were “early regulars” since the 1857 was founded and were enthusiastic and very regular guests for the first few months (over a year). Unfortunately, as this introduction suggests, this is no longer the case. In our opinion, the menu has changed negatively in terms of selection, quality, quantity and price. The initially very good service (we were very understanding of beginners' mishaps after opening) now oscillates between “very accommodating” to “arrogant/cheeky”. Here is an example (memory protocol): The three of us come to the restaurant without a reservation shortly after it opens (around 5:30 p.m.). Almost everything is still empty. Service: “Unfortunately we are fully booked”. Other service from the background: “We still have tables available until 8 p.m.”. First service: “Yes, but they haven’t been here for a long time and are no longer regulars.” True! We are no longer and we won't be any more any time soon! There are other alternatives with a much better price/performance ratio (especially if you are mobile). And these (I'll respond to your arguments) certainly pay their employees well (otherwise they wouldn't have any) and also have similar supply chain issues as the 1857 (I quote: “toll costs”). And briefly on the subject of “sales tax”: This was reduced during Corona, among other things, to compensate for the reduced seating (distance regulations). The seating has been back to normal for a long time, but the VAT benefit has not been passed on to the guests in the form of reduced prices. Since then, many operators have been earning excellent money. But… “of course” you now have to pass on the current VAT increase (to the standard rate) to the guests. Clearly, you are free to calculate and argue as you see fit. And we decide where we feel comfortable as guests! There are 2 stars because 1 of 3 dishes was good and because of one or two very friendly service. Maybe you will accept this as constructive criticism. I would be happy if I could feel comfortable as a guest again at some point and have the impression that I would be treated fairly and courteously.

Well, once again JUST a “see and be seen” restaurant... The worst, an owner who is noticeably very dissatisfied! The guest is clearly not the king here, the king is the boss who doesn't value solution orientation! Given the prices, the food is not recommended A PITY Get well soon!

Erstmal muss ich sagen, daß mir das Herz blutet!! Wir wohnen in Sankt Tönis und gehen gerne mal auswärts essen - mit Freunden, aber des Öfteren auch nur meine Frau und ich. Dieses Lokal begleitet uns schon seit vielen Jahren, erst als "Haus Wirichs", dann als "Ravvivi" und nun schließlich als "Wirtshaus 1857". Das jeder Gastronom erstmal eine unvoreingenommene Chance bekommt, ist hier völlig selbstredend!! Wir waren das erste mal kurz nach der Eröffnung im Wirtshaus etwas essen - neugierig, wie das neue Konzept aussieht und was sich so in der Speisekarte findet. Das Essen war in Ordnung, jedoch hatten die neuen Pächter - auch noch auf Grund der Corona-Auswirkungen - erhebliche Personalprobleme, weshalb wir über 2 Std auf unser Essen warten mussten. Wie gesagt hatten wir dafür Verständnis, auch wenn ich als Wirt, in einer derartigen Situation, deutlich offensiver in der Kommunikation gewesen wäre. Einige Gäste waren schon sehr erbost, wir haben es "ausgesessen" und auch aufgegessen. Essen - und vor allem das Starnberger vom Fass - waren absolut ok und angemessen vom Preis. Danach waren wir noch mehrfach dort und wussten eigentlich immer, was uns erwartet: Rustikale Küche in ordentlicher Qualität zu einem Preis, der OK ist. Mehr aber auch nicht! Dann im letzten Sommer sind wir spontan einmal dorthingegangen, weil wir keine Lust hatten selber zu kochen. Das war für uns gefühlt der "Anfang vom Ende" der gemeinsamen Zeit. Heringsstipp für meine Frau und einen Burger für mich, dazu 2-3 Bier und 2 Aperol. Wir sind anschließend raus gegangen und waren beide richtig unzufrieden. Bratkartoffeln nicht kross sondern "matschig" (Fertig Ware?) und die Pommes etwas kühler als "lau". Mayo & Ketchup muss man selbstverständlich extra bezahlen. Wie in jedem Wirtshaus eben..... ;-) Aber man versucht es ja dann doch nochmals - mit etwas Abstand und dem passenden Moment! Wir sind vor einigen Wochen spontan mit Freunden und einer unserer Töchter nochmals in das Wirtshaus - obwohl wir eigentlich schon nicht mehr hin wollten! Wir waren gut gelaunt und hatten unterschiedlich großen Hunger. Meine Frau hatte kurz mit den Muscheln geliebäugelt, als sie dann sah, daß dafür 21,90€ berechnet werden, hat sie sich spontan für den Seelachs entschieden. 17,50€ erscheint einem deutlich angemessener im Vergleich. Der Einkaufspreis für Muscheln ist ja nun wirklich nicht soooo üppig!!?? Die Muscheln kosteten vor nichtmal einem Jahr auch noch deutlich weniger. Ich meine so ca 17,00€!? Allerdings musste man damals zu den zwei "schmächtigen" Schwarzbrotscheiben nochmals zwei dazu bestellen, die natürlich - wie sollte es anders sein - volle pulle berechnet wurden. Das nur als kleine "Nebenstory"! 3x gab es ausserdem vor ein paar Wochen Schnitzel, welches "OK" war!! Aber auch hier muss man sagen das 20,00€ für ein Schweineschnitzel, welches "OK" ist, in jedem Fall saftiger ist, als es die Schnitzel waren! Ganz zu schweigen von der Tatsache, daß man jede kleine Mayo- und Ketchupschale extra bezahlen muss! Den Vogel abgeschossen hat aber mein "großer bunter Salat" zu 14,90€!!! Da bin ich glatt hinten über gefallen!!! Der "große bunte Salat" bestand aus einer ca halben Tüte Fertigsalatmischung mit den kleinen lustigen Karottenstiften drinne........ Ich würde auf den "Blattsalat-Eisberg-Mix" von Aldi tippen!!?? Die "hausgemachte" Vinaigrette war bestimmt auch "hausgekauft"!!?? Das auf der Speisekarte angepriesene Brot bestand aus zwei traurigen Scheiben, die im "Baguette-Style" aus einem Weizenbrötchen geschnitten waren. Allerdings hatten diese zwei jämmerlichen Scheiben die Konsistenz eines Zwiebacks - und das ist wirklich nicht übertrieben!!! Beides habe ich bei der freundlichen, jungen Bedienung sofort bemängelt - sowohl den "Fertigsalat", als auch das "Zwieback". Ich habe sie auch den "Fühltest" bei dem Zwieback machen lassen. Sie sagte dann nur "Ohhhhh...... Ich bringe Ihnen neues Brot!" Das kam dann auch und wurde mit den Worten überreicht, daß man natürlich an einem Sonntag Abend kein frisches Brot mehr backen könne, die zwei "neuen" Scheiben jedoch besser seien. Es war "weiches" Zwieback und essen habe ich es nicht können. Wäre also auf´s gleiche herausgekommen. Wichtig ist mir zu betonen, daß es NICHT IN ERSTER LINIE auf den Preis ankommt, sondern auf die Qualität. Wenn diese gegeben ist, bezahlt man auch gerne einen angemessenen Preis. Bei dieser Qualität bin ich gar nicht bereit etwas in einem Restaurant zu bezahlen und deshalb sind wir dort erstmal raus!! Schade, denn die Auswahl in Sankt Tönis ist wirklich mittlerweile sehr begrenzt und das Potential ist groß!

First of all I have to say that my heart is bleeding!! We live in Sankt Tönis and like to eat out sometimes - with friends, but often just my wife and I. This restaurant has been with us for many years, first as “Haus Wirichs”, then as “Ravvivi” and now finally as “Wirtshaus 1857”. It goes without saying that every restaurateur first gets an unbiased chance!! A few weeks ago we spontaneously went to the inn again with friends and one of our daughters - even though we didn't actually want to go there anymore! We were in a good mood and had varying levels of hunger. My wife flirted with the mussels for a moment, then when she saw that they were charging €21.90, she spontaneously decided on the pollack. €17.50 seems much more reasonable in comparison. We also had schnitzel 3 times, which was “OK”!! But here too you have to say that €20.00 for a pork schnitzel, which is "OK", is definitely juicier than the schnitzels were! Not to mention the fact that you have to pay extra for every little bowl of mayo and ketchup! Simply ridiculous!! But it was my “large colorful salad” that cost €14.90!!! I fell over backwards!!! The "big colorful salad" consisted of about half a bag of ready-made salad mix with the little funny carrot sticks inside........ I would guess the "leaf lettuce iceberg mix" from Aldi!!?? The “homemade” vinaigrette was definitely “home-bought” too!!?? The bread advertised on the menu consisted of two sad slices cut "baguette style" from a wheat bun. However, these two miserable slices had the consistency of rusks - and that's really not an exaggeration!!! I immediately complained about both to the friendly, young waitress - both the "ready-made salad" and the "rusk". I also had her do the “feel test” on the rusks. She then just said "Ohhhhh...... I'll bring you new bread!" That came and was handed over with the words that of course you couldn't bake fresh bread on a Sunday evening anymore, but the two "new" slices were better. It was "soft" rusk and I couldn't eat it. So the result would have been the same. It is important to me to emphasize that it is NOT primarily the price that matters, but rather the quality. If this is the case, you are happy to pay a reasonable price. With the quality on offer, I'm not willing to pay anything in a restaurant and that's why we're out of there for now!! It's a shame, because the selection in Sankt Tönis is now really limited and the potential is great!!

Wir waren heute mit 6 Personen bei euch essen. Uns hat es allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Alle hatten auch unterschiedliche Gerichte. Was ich mega lecker fand war euer Beilagensalat. So einen tollen Salat hab ich noch nirgends dazu bekommen. Spitze ! Das Personal war sehr sehr freundlich. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder

Wir waren für eine Weihnachtsfeier da. Essen war sehr lecker. Da es aber ein Buffet war, kann ich leider nichts zur Karte sagen.

Wir haben wieder mit rund 20 Gästen einen sehr schönen Abend verbracht. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich, versteht Spaß und ist flott unterwegs. Alle Gerichte waren sehr lecker und obwohl die Gaststätte gut besucht war, brauchten wir auf nichts warten. Wir kommen sicherlich bald wieder und können das 1857 wirklich uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Das Bier ist sehr lecker! Essen kann man essen! Servicekraft, die man erkennt, sind Übels freundlich und nett. „Servicekraft“ anscheinend sogenannte "Vorarbeiter" Teamleiter oder wie die sich heute nennen, unfreundlich und hochnäsig. Leider nicht empfehlenswert, daher das erste Mal und letzte Mal.

Wir haben hier mit 6 Personen gegessen, Tischreservierung erforderlich. Die Gerichte waren alle lecker und schmeckten frisch, freundliche Bedienung, Preise sind angemessen.

Gestern spontan zum ersten Mal im Wirtshaus gewesen. Per Zufall auf Google Maps gefunden, da wir aus Kempen kommen. Vorher angerufen wegen eines Tisches und wir hatten Glück es war etwas frei. Wir können nur positives berichten vom sehr freundlichen Service bis hin zum sehr leckeren Essen als auch das freundliche Telefonat im Vorfeld. Came with friends for dinner. Everything tasted delicious! My husband really enjoyed the pork knuckle and I had a vegetarian dish with pumpkin that was amazing. I also tried the egg-noodle dish, just as delicious. Dessert did not disappoint either. Service was a little slow due to it being busy, but very friendly. Would recommend and would definitely come back if we’re in the area.

Wir waren jetzt zweimal hier und sind mit allem sehr zufrieden. Schneller und netter Service und gute Qualität der Speisen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren Nikolaus mit Familie im Wirtshaus und sind sehr enttäuscht worden. Gegessen haben wir 2x Muscheln, die überhaupt nicht gewürzt waren, ein minderwertiges Rumpsteak mit Pfeffersauce und noch Lachs mit Risotto und Gemüse. Der Lachs war ok, das Risotto hätte noch was gekonnt und das Gemüse war kalt. Ich meckere eigentlich sehr selten, aber für den Preis für die einzelnen Gerichte, sollte man eigentlich mehr erwarten dürfen.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe dort. Essen war ausgezeichnet. Ich hatte Schnitzel mit Pilzsauce und Bratkartoffeln und die Schokoladenmousse .Schnitzel war gut gebraten. Pilzsauce war lecker mit vielen Pilzen. Bratkartoffeln waren sehr gut. Zusätzliche Champignons waren ebenfalls sehr lecker. Die Schokoladenmousse und die Vanillesauce waren ausgezeichnet

Essen war gut, Bedienung war Klasse, historische Ambiente.

Hier stimmt alles das Essen und der Service perfekt. War dort das erste mal aber mit Sicherheit nicht das letzte mal die Lokalität ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Sehr gutes Preis Leistungs Verhältnis.

Ich komme gerne immer wieder hier hin. Das Essen ist gut und das Personal sehr freundlich. Gestern war ich hier mit einigen Freunden zu einer "Arbeitssitzung". Es gab ein paar Dinge zu besprechen. Man hat uns dazu eine Ecke zur Verfügung gestellt, in der wir weitgehend ungestört waren. Dennoch war der Service stets aufmerksam und es war kein Problem, dass wir nur Getränke konsumiert haben. Den Abend könnten wir erfolgreich abschließen.

Um Brot zu einer Kürbissuppe zu bekommen, hieß es: die Suppe käme eben ohne Brot. Auf nachhaken und überzeugen bekamen wird gnädigerweise das Brot. Wurde verm. sogar berechnet.

Wir waren aufgrund einer Einladung das erste Mal in diesem Restaurant. Sehr modernes Ambiente und minimalistisch eingerichtet. Es werden traditionelle und vor allem deutsche Gerichte angeboten. Die Karte ist nicht allzu groß was für uns ein Zeichen ist, dass hier noch mit frischen Zutaten gekocht wird. Wir entschieden uns für die rote Beete Suppe, die einfach geschmacklich mega war. Als Hauptspeise bestellten wir die Schweinehaxe sowie Himmel und äd. Beide Gerichte waren auf dem Punkt zubereitet und absolut köstlich. Das Personal war sehr schnell und sehr freundlich. Einziger Minuspunkt war der Lärm im Raum ( wir saßen im hinteren Bereich) , baulich bedingt war die Geräuschkulisse extrem laut. Trotzdem kommen wir sehr gern wieder.

Wir waren einmal kurz nach der Eröffnung und fanden es nur ok. Gestern dann die zweite Runde - ich war echt begeistert. Eine wunderbar krosse Haxe; die Gerichte der anderen sahen auch toll aus und schmeckten wohl auch so. Dazu ein sehr netter und aufmerksamer Service sowie ein schönes Ambiente. Oktoberfest-Wochen ! eine sagenhafte Schweinshaxe mit Pürree und Sauerkraut gegessen. Sehr nette freundliche Bedienung. - gerne wieder !

Eine klare Empfehlung von uns: Ich habe nirgendwo anders einen so leckeren Veggieburger gegessen. Noch nicht einmal in einem Veggierestaurant. Mein Mann war mit dem Fleisch-Burger auch sehr zufrieden. Alles in allem ein sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis plus eine wirklich aufmerksame und nette Bedienung.

War heute wieder einmal total begeistert. Super nette, sehr aufmerksame Mitarbeiter 👍👍👍. Essen sehr reichhaltig und mega lecker. Immer wieder👍

5.5 € für ein 0.5 l Krombacher finde ich voll übertrieben. Das die Preise allgemein gestiegen sind ist klar. Aber wie kann es sein das man das gleiche Bier 0.5 l Krombacher in dem gleichen Glas in einem anderen Restaurant in Tönisvorst 4.10€ bezahlt ?

Tolles Ambiente, sehr gutes Essen und ein netter Service. Es war ein sehr schöner und gelungener Abend.

Habe vor ein paar Tagen eine Schweinshaxe gegessen. Das Restaurant war voll!! Aber die 45 Minuten haben sich gelohnt!! Etwas wenig Soße, aber zart,knusprig, und mega lecker. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Macht weiter so!! Ich komme gerne wieder 😉👍

Die Haxe ist sehr lecker, etwas zu wenig Soße, bei trockenem Wetter kann man sehr schön im Innenhof sitzen.

Zu meiner Hochzeit war ich mit einem kleinen Familienkreis zum Frühstücksbrunch da. Beginnend mit der Reservierung, Vorbestellung, Tischdeko und natürlich das Frühstück war alles bestens. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam. Die Preisgestaltung war fair. Alles in allem super. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Bis demnächst ...

Es war gemütlich. Wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient und die Kellner waren sehr hilfsbereit. Da wir an einem Büffet teilnahmen war unsere Auswahl etwas eingeschränkt. Das Fleisch war reichlich vorhanden , der Fisch war lecker, und die Würstchen gut durch. Bis auf den Kartoffelsalat waren auch die Salate lecker und gut. Die Dips waten zahlreich vorhanden.

Schönes Ambiente. Netter Service und gutes Essen. Anfangs etwas sehr laut aber später ging es.

Super schöner Laden. Innen alles total schön und liebevoll hergerichtet. Gefällt mir sehr gut. Speisekarte auch toll, für jeden was dabei. Essen auch sehr lecker und große Portionen. Preise gehoben, aber angemessen. Personal sehr zuvorkommend. Großes Lob an Nico, seine Frau und das ganze Team.

Sonntag essen gehen, sagte meine Frau. Wir gehen mal hin, sagte meine Frau. Und wie so oft, hatte meine Frau recht! Sehr leckeres Essen mit sehr guter Qualität. Dazu noch ein sehr freundlicher Service, der mit dem typischen niederrheinischen Humor umgehen konnte! So wurde es ein geselliger Abend, und wir konnten satt und glücklich nach Hause gehen. Danke für die Erfahrung! Ach so. Was gab es denn zu essen? Ich hatte die Schweinshaxe mit Kartoffelpüree und Sauerkraut und meine Frau Hähnchenfleisch mit Pfifferlingen im Rahmsoße! Als Getränke wurden kredenzt: Hopfen Smoothies( Bier) und Cola. Also alles sehr bodenständig und sehr lecker!

Letzte Woche zum 1. mal das Wirtshaus 1857 besucht. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen, das Essen war sehr lecker, eine abwechslungsreiche Speisekarte und ein sehr aufmerksamer Service in schönem Ambiente. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Tipp: vorab Tisch reservieren (geht auch online).

Großes Lokal mit Außengastronomie, auch im Innenhof. Modernes Ambiente, freundliche Bedienung aber das Essen ist verbesserungswürdig.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal dort. Nur für den kleinen Hunger.Es war super lecker. Die Bratkartoffeln mit Ziebeln und kleine Schinkenwürfel einfach perfekt . Wir waren bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal dort.

Empfehlenswerte Adresse für gutes und gepflegtes Essen und Trinken bei angenehmer Atmosphäre und Bedienung.

Leckeres Essen, durften vor der Mittagspause noch was bestellen, danke dafür. Mit fehlt ein bisschen der Wirtshauscharakter im Ambiente (Bestuhlung, Deko, Dirndl..) Kommen gerne wieder

Das 1857 gebaute Wirtshaus liegt mitten in St. Tönis. Es werden traditionelle Gerichte in gehobener Qualität angeboten. Nachmittags kann man auch einfach nur zu Kaffee und Kuchen einkehren. Ich bin immer gerne wieder hier.

Super Ambiente, toller Service und das Essen war außerordentlich gut, mit großen Portionen. Kann ich jedem nur empfehlen.

Bisher drei- viermal unterschiedliche Gerichte ausprobiert und jedesmal lecker! Sehr guter und aufmerksamer Service!Preisniveau absolut angemessen.Wartezeiten total in Ordnung.Abwechslungsreiche Karte(wöchentlich wechselnde Mittagskarte ebenfalls sehr ansprechend).Für jeden etwas dabei. Getränke sind halt in Deutschland generell teuer in Restaurants (zählt hier nicht als Kritikpunkt).

Das 1857 mitten in St. Tönis ist ein typisches Wirtshaus, wie es sie mal zahlreich am Niederrhein gab. Hier kann man in gemütlicher und angenehmer Atmosphäre ein Bier trinken, aber auch gut essen. Eben ein typisches Wirtshaus. Das 1857 liegt in der Fußgängerzone, parken kann man gut auf dem großen Parkplatz eines Discounters, der fußläufig ganz in der Nähe liegt. Wir haben ein paar Bier getrunken und etwas gegessen. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam, die Speisekarte enthält neben typischen niederrheinischen Gerichten auch noch ein paar andere Speisen. Gegessen haben wir Medaillons vom Schweinefilet und Kabeljaurückenfilet auf Wirsinggemüse - beides wirklich lecker und herzhaft. Hier kann man gut essen, gepflegte Getränke zu sich nehmen, man sitzt gemütlich beisammen, wir kommen gerne wieder. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen.
