Excellent, high level restaurant all over!!!

The ambiance was stylish, cozy, and simple. The restrooms were rather old and didn't match the atmosphere at all. The wait times for food were far too long. We had to get the waiters' attention to order drinks and dessert. A definite no-go was being blinded by car headlights, as the cars were parked directly opposite the windows.

We had a wonderful evening at Tafelsilber. Besides the excellent food, we were particularly impressed by the stylish ambiance and the attentive, friendly staff – we felt completely comfortable and welcome. The dishes on the menu all sounded very tempting, so we spontaneously opted for the four-course surprise menu – and it was absolutely the right choice! Every course was perfectly balanced, delicious, and beautifully presented. A truly delightful experience – we will definitely be back and highly recommend Tafelsilber!

On Sundays there is only a menu!

A beautiful place, the food was delicious. We had a three-course surprise menu. It was beautifully presented, although it was a bit different than usual. The portions would have barely been enough for a hungry man, which we hadn't experienced on previous visits. Five couples reported the same thing at the same time. We also think we missed at least a small greeting from the kitchen on our last visits. We'll be happy to come back.

We celebrated our outdoor wedding at the Tafelsilber restaurant – and it was simply dreamy! From the very first conversation, we felt completely at ease and well looked after. The communication beforehand was professional, warm, and absolutely reliable. On the day itself, the service was simply perfect: discreetly in the background, but always there at the right time – attentive, friendly, and with a great sense of the moment. Exactly what you would want for such a special day! The food was a true highlight – varied, creative, and top-notch in terms of taste. There was truly something for every taste, and all of our guests gave us nothing but enthusiastic feedback. We can recommend Tafelsilber from the bottom of our hearts and have decided: We will return every year to celebrate our wedding anniversary there. This was our first visit to Tafelsilber. The food was very good, but not as outstanding as we've often heard from others. What did strike us, however, was the poor service. Good staff don't approach guests from behind, but from the side, so they can see each other. When we asked if we could have some more mayo, they said, "Of course." It left and didn't come back. After about ten minutes (the fries were cold), my husband went to the counter and asked for the mayonnaise. They replied, rather annoyed, that they would bring it right away. But he insisted on taking the container straight away. That's also the thing: from an upscale restaurant, I expect sauces in a bowl, not from a packet. But okay, that's a matter of opinion. Our drinks were empty, and we ordered new ones. They left and didn't come back. After a while, we asked and were told they'd forgotten about us. Really? We wouldn't have guessed. We'd finished our food and wanted to go back to the dessert menu. The waitress tried to bring it to us, but again, she didn't. They can forget about us once, but three times? That's ignorant, has nothing to do with customer service, and to me, it means the store either needs better training or better employees. When another waitress asked if we wanted anything else, I simply said: "Yes, the bill." That was our first visit to Tafelsilber, but unfortunately, also the last.

Even with the somewhat smaller selection of dishes, Sunday lunch was a small culinary feast.

The silverware can undoubtedly compete with top European restaurants, without losing its down-to-earth character. A culinary oasis of well-being. International and regional specialties are reinterpreted here. The romantic, rural, yet centrally located location invites both candlelit dinners and larger celebrations. Home-brewed beers and spirits round out an incomparable evening.

We celebrated our outdoor wedding ceremony at Tafelsilber. It was a beautiful day. The ambiance and service were fantastic! The team implemented our wishes perfectly. The decorations they brought with them were perfectly arranged, as was the wedding cake. The selection of drinks at the reception, as well as the accompanying finger food, catered to every taste! All of our guests were thrilled at dinner, too. We had our dream wedding there. We know where we'll be celebrating our wedding anniversaries. Thanks to the entire team!!

We love the Tafelsilber restaurant because it offers a great location for business and private meals. Last Thursday, we were a bit disappointed for the first time. While the surprise menu offered the usual variety, the two appetizers and the dessert weren't what we've come to expect from Tafelsilber in terms of flavor and creativity. Regarding the main course: The meat in the main course was well prepared. However, the mashed potatoes were a bit bland, and the vegetables seemed more frozen than fresh. When it comes to service, we're familiar with (and love) the somewhat cheeky yet affectionate manner of the Tafelsilber team. This time, however, conversations at the table were interrupted, almost accusingly, by a server we didn't know – whether it was about ordering more drinks or announcing the course. While all special requests were fulfilled, our guests felt somewhat disparaged. We will definitely give Tafelsilber another chance and hope that our experience was a one-off and due to special circumstances. That's why we can't give it a rating lower than "3 stars," because overall, we believe this location is valuable and important for the region, and the menu and prices are a fair offer for what is otherwise a truly solid and often surprisingly gourmet-friendly cuisine.

Unfortunately, some of the dishes lacked a bit of seasoning (here the pasta with truffle sauce), but this is a matter of taste. I would have expected that if I ordered a starter as a main course, I would have been informed in advance that the price would change.

We were there for a 60th birthday party. Private event. The food was great...the outdoor terrace was very nice...the service was okay...the gentleman at the buffet was very friendly and accommodating...you had to ask for drinks...but that wasn't too bad. Conclusion...recommended.

Definitely worth a visit (even several). We stop here every now and then depending on our hunger and mood and are always happy. The kitchen team delivers impeccably when it comes to our taste. The service is always consistently friendly and professional, only on Mother's Day we had the feeling that the younger ladies were a bit distracted... But we don't take that lightly, everyone starts somewhere and everyone is just human. The ambience is nice, harmonious and cozy at the same time. It's also good to sit outside. We visited the silverware three times with several people at shorter intervals. We chose the surprise menu several times, but also à la carte. Modern, creative dishes are offered. Terrific! Attentive, friendly service. I deducted the fifth star because of the dessert. So far it's been average at best. Every visit included a brownie that didn't turn out well. The strawberry pannacotta was quite solid and the taste was not convincing. Dear kitchen team, there is still room for improvement. Last weekend there were ten of us in the restaurant. The surprise menu was chosen several times and we agreed. The main course did not meet our expectations. Thick, dry veal involtini, ratatouille not evenly cooked, strange potato gratin. The dessert, as unfortunately often, was mediocre. Unfortunately, it's no surprise. Mousse, ice cream, some kind of cream and a hard brownie. We won't be eating here anymore for the time being. Good service.

We celebrated our wedding with 54 guests in the Tafelsilber restaurant last Saturday and had an absolutely fantastic day. The restaurant has a great ambience both inside and on the newly designed and covered terrace. The food was incredibly tasty (we received a lot of positive feedback from the guests) and with the large selection of drinks, every guest quickly found their favorite. The discussions in advance with Mr. Otten were uncomplicated and very nice. We had already looked at a few locations before and found that there were often hidden catches (additional costs, noise at the party, end time, etc.) - here there were virtually no catches, everything was well communicated and the prices were more than fair. The staff were also friendly and accommodating across the board, so we were able to really enjoy the day and are very happy to have found this great location for our day.

The Tafelsilber restaurant is recommended for all kinds of celebrations, including small meals. We decided on a buffet. The structure of the buffet, the preparation of the food and the taste, everything was perfect. The service staff was very attentive, all wishes were fulfilled. The ambience is great. The large beer garden is also very nice. Good value for money. We can only recommend the restaurant and would celebrate or eat there again at any time.

We ate there for the first time! It is a very nicely decorated, clean restaurant, with a very friendly and attentive staff. The food is not cheap but worth the price because it was very tasty. That wasn't the last time we were there. Because if you want something special to eat, the table silver is suitable for it. I wish you continued success.

The food was good in the outdated restaurant, the service was mediocre, and regular guests were given preferential treatment. The radio was also playing quite loudly the whole time, so you could hear the news while you ate.

The food was good. The whole atmosphere is very pleasant. What was noticeable was the long service time until the first drink and until the food came. We had to flag down the waitress several times. What was bad was that those in our group who hadn't ordered a menu didn't even get a greeting from the kitchen for an hour and a half. Homemade water for seven euros doesn't necessarily have to be available either. For a restaurant in this price category, your own standards of service should be higher.

Fine cuisine, great, courteous but not intrusive staff. The slightly higher price range is absolutely worth it. You can go here for any occasion. But it is important to reserve in advance. New Year's Eve 2024 - the food was great, as was the ambience - the service stopped coming to the table after midnight, which we found very unfortunate. The air was very bad due to the DJ's "fog machine". One of the two buffets was on the terrace, so there was a draft every time the door was opened (and unfortunately not closed again most of the time). Very cold drafts for those sitting in the adjacent room! Since musical tastes can always be very different - just our opinion - This started very well at the beginning - great dance music - Later, however, other people's wishes were taken into account more, which steered the music more in the direction of "special" ;o). PS: It would have been nice if there had been appropriate music playing outside at least at midnight, e.g. "Happy New Year" by ABBA or something similar. Furthermore, we would have expected that with an amount of 175 euros per person. there would have been a small fireworks display (may or may not have to). Here’s to something new in 2025! We were able to enjoy the wonderful Christmas menu. Enjoy a great selection, perfectly coordinated. Great service, nice, competent, and accommodating despite a full house, they spent a lot of time with our child to make it possible for us to eat. We'd love to come back.

The restaurant offers a wonderful ambience and impressed us with its very good preparation for our visit and excellent food. Unfortunately, there was potential for optimization in the service area. The service staff did not have sufficient knowledge of the food and its preparation. For example, no specific information could be given about the veal kebab or the dessert variation. It was only pointed out that the dessert variation changed daily, but it remained unclear what it consisted of. Instead of offering clarification in the kitchen, all we received were vague assumptions. This is particularly critical given the manageable menu: with such a small selection, it shouldn't be difficult for the service staff to know basic information about the dishes. The organization also left a lot to be desired. Coffee and dessert couldn't be ordered at the same time, and after the meal there was little service, making it difficult to order additional drinks. Despite these points of criticism, the restaurant impressed us overall, especially with the excellent quality of the food. We are confident that the restaurant will improve on the points raised and look forward to having an overall positive experience on a future visit.
