The breakfast was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly friendly. A wonderful atmosphere and very cozy.

I was there last Friday with a friend, and reserving a table was no problem. The service was very attentive and friendly. The food—he had meat and I had vegetarian—was both delicious. We drank a gin and tonic (Long Horn), and the mix was very good. The atmosphere is also cool, and they play lounge music. Unfortunately, there is one very small criticism: the DJ, who played that evening from 10 p.m., got increasingly louder from time to time, so that my friend and I had to shout at each other because we couldn't hear each other. Otherwise, we'd gladly go back.

Nevertheless, we witnessed the manager being unfriendly to his staff on several occasions. This somewhat dampened the mood in the already very dark ambience. I hope the friendly staff there will be more appreciated in the future.

We went there with friends and snagged the Swedish menu just before Christmas. I'll never forget the taste of the duck, dumplings, and red cabbage—I haven't tasted anything so delicious in a long time. The atmosphere was also very nice; everything was neat and tidy. And, of course, it was full—no wonder, which shows that the guests appreciate the restaurant and certainly weren't there for the first time. Thank you for the wonderful time. Girls' day always starts with breakfast here.

The food was okay, nothing special, but nothing particularly negative either. What dampened the mood somewhat was the extremely unfriendly waiter, who only responded rudely to our polite questions. Very unprofessional and, for me, definitely a reason not to go to huwa again.

We went there with two children on a Sunday for the breakfast buffet. Everywhere else, they only serve brunch, and at hefty prices. The price for the children (6 and 9 years old) was somehow decided with the children in mind... But otherwise, we were satisfied. Good spot (we had a reservation and were able to choose a table on the spot), clean table, candles, etc. Service was quite fast and friendly. The buffet itself, unfortunately, was all at high tables, not suitable for children or very short people. The offerings were fresh, everything was there. No salmon or anything, but everything was okay. Good value for money👍

Stay away from this cafeteria. I ordered double espresso and a cup of hot water. They charged me 4 euro for coffee and 4 EURO for Hot Water .... Nowhere in Leipzig charged me for Hot Water

The food was delicious. We had the halloumi burger twice and the asparagus once. The ambiance was also very nice and inviting. However, I can understand the criticism of the name on the restroom door—I don't think "women" is the most attractive choice either. Unfortunately, the service wasn't very customer-oriented, and our waitress made it clear how stressed she was and that she really didn't have time for us.

Very nice little bar that has been a tradition for years. Great and nice service and loving service. Just please wash the tables with a fresh cloth - because there was a hint of “Much” in the air. - But otherwise always worth a visit!

I've been to HUWA several times. Once for brunch, several times for dinner, and once in the evening for a few drinks. I was always satisfied. The food is highly recommended and looks great too. When friends visit us and ask where to eat in Leipzig, I recommend HUWA among others. The decor is very modern and cozy. The restroom labels are debatable, but overall, everything is very nice. The only criticism I have is that we couldn't order from the menu for brunch, but only the buffet was available (we had a reservation and weren't informed in advance that only the buffet would be available that day). This was a bit irritating at first because we had a vegan in the group who had pre-booked a dish online that wasn't available. I also found the DJ too loud in the evenings; it was difficult to have a good conversation. But it was one of the few bars where you could still get a comfortable seat in the city center in the evening!

I wanted to celebrate my birthday there, I went there in person to make the reservation and confirmed the exact number of people two days in advance and also received a reservation email. When everyone was there, there were no reservations and no one knew anything. We then got a few tables pushed together in a corner with not enough space. The evening went completely differently than I had hoped. Drinks were halfway okay. The waiter was mostly vaping in a corner instead of serving us and wasn't really friendly either. I could have saved myself that and will definitely not go there again!

Super nice ambiance. The food always seems to depend on the chef. Sometimes it's better, sometimes a little less, but always delicious. I highly recommend it!

I went to breakfast with my girlfriend. The food was okay, but the service was unfortunately very poor. Our plates were stacked high, but no one even bothered to clear them. In 1.5 hours, the waitress came to us twice—once to seat us and once to pay. Even with clear eye contact and a nod to indicate what the waitress had seen, I was ignored. It's a shame.

The ambiance was magical, as were the delicious cocktails. Unfortunately, it was consistently very loud, which made conversation difficult. Nevertheless, it was a nice place with good service and sophisticated drinks!

Nice romantic ambience, maybe a bit too dark but overall cozy. The service was good. The menu offered a sufficient number of dishes, and in terms of drinks there was pretty much everything you could imagine. The homemade lemonade was very tasty. The HuWa burger tasted good, but not outstanding. The price level is slightly above average, but still reasonable given the location.

The Asian lady (waiter) was in a pretty bad mood, unfriendly and even snotty. It wasn't even possible to get a group photo on the stairs because she was supposed to be free every second. This will be very damaging to the store because it will gain notoriety and make you feel unwelcome even though you have left a lot of money there. The food is okay and the drinks are expensive.

With the understandable reason of the lack of staff, we were notified of delayed service, but not of incomplete service. The contents of the plate were nowhere near the description on the menu. The cremant I ordered was stale and from the day before, so in my opinion they gave prosecco as a replacement.

We were here for breakfast. Unfortunately we had to wait 1.5 hours when the restaurant was half empty. The staff was super friendly but you can clearly tell that other employees are missing. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the food was also very tasty.

With all my love... On January 1st we arrived shortly before 12 p.m. and ordered drinks and the food very quickly. While the service was quite trying (... even if the latte was spilled on the saucer and it was placed on the table without comment without passing a napkin or apologizing), the kitchen seemed to be extremely overwhelmed. We waited over an hour for the food even though the place really wasn't full. In the meantime there was no communication about longer waiting times or anything else. In my opinion, overall really inadequate. No risk of repetition, no recommendation.

On January 1st 1:30 after the drinks there was still no food. The entire table (6 people) behind us got up in anger and left. What's the point of a good ambience if even the basics aren't there? The food tastes wonderful and the ambience with the Hundertwasser idea is also beautiful, but the waiting time of almost 2 hours is unreasonable and takes a lot of fun out of the meal.

Great menu, food is excellent, drinks are great and the interior design creates a nice atmosphere. What ruined my visit personally was the service and, to be precise, a single specialist. Her condescending, arrogant and annoyed manner is anything but customer-oriented. When you try to order something, you are apparently ignored, menus are aggressively thrown onto the shelf behind your back, and questions are answered in a snappy and condescending manner. Gastronomy is undoubtedly stressful, but it is no excuse for pursuing your profession in this way. I simply don't feel welcome there and will therefore refrain from further visits. Nice gastronomy with a balanced menu. The service was exceptionally good the evening I was there. The food was tasty, but the preparation of the drinks, which were actually the same, varied, which led to a bit of amusement at the table. A very annoying point, however, was the choice of seating near the men's toilet, as unpleasant smells regularly accompanied our stay there.

Despite the fact that the waitress was almost alone and the place was full, we were served quickly and with a smile. The espresso martini is great. The foam remained until the last sip. Overall, the Huwa is very comfortably furnished. You can see something special on every corner. The toilets also have their charm. However, at least the women's toilet - I can judge that alone - could have been cleaner.

I've been there countless times now and EVERY time the food was good, the cocktails were great and the music was simply the most pleasant I've ever found in a restaurant. Non-alcoholic cocktails available. I would recommend making a reservation, but you can also swing by for a cocktail and get a bar table.

Nice restaurant with an interesting menu - everyone will find something there. My favorite: liver with mashed potatoes. Perfect for a meeting with friends. Operation and service is friendly and above all: fast. I'd love to come back.

Bis vor zwei Jahren waren wir im HUWA regelmäßig zum Brunchen, aufgrund eines zeitlich begrenzten Ortswechsels jetzt wieder und ich bin wirklich erschrocken & entsetzt, was aus diesem ehemals wunderbaren Ambiente geworden ist. Die farbenfrohe Einrichtung ist völlig dahin. Der Frühstücksbrunch (ehemals grandios mit vielfältiger Auswahl) ist um mehr als die Hälfte abgespeckt und eigentlich kein Brunch mehr, sondern nur noch ein 08/15 Frühstück. 15,99 € (Kaffee extra) sind die Speisen bei weitem nicht wert. Sächsische Spezialitäten sind nicht mehr vorhanden und die Bedienung kennt diese auch gar nicht. Allerdings ist die Bedienung durchweg freundlich und hilfsbereit trotz deutlicher Sprachbarieren. Wir saßen 3,5 Stunden, wenn die Deko weg gegessen wurde, wird diese bis zum Ende nicht wieder aufbereitet, je später man kommt, desto schlechter ist bei gleichem Preis das Essen. SEHR schade, hier würden wir nie wieder frühstücken. 👎

Music is way too loud that even the waitress has to scream at times. You can't have a proper conversation. Furthermore, the tomato soup was subterranean in terms of taste, there is more to it and something can be saved with spiciness... Guys, tomato soup was ordered... no chilli con carne

We were here for breakfast. I had the mango quark bowl and thought it was really tasty. As a drink I had the “apple cake”, which was also really tasty. Otherwise, the service was friendly and the ambience was quite okay. I would dine here a second time.

Service and ambience good, food was terrible. Chicken and cheeseburger were completely dry, I haven't eaten anything like that in a long time. But fries were good. Still unacceptable for €17 for a cheeseburger with fries. The waitress passes it on to the kitchen. Cocktail was delicious.

We where today there for a few drinks . After paying the Bill we discovered that we payed 3 euro’s to much… So you invoiced us to much and we only received a Total billing amount So this feels as a scam Not a Nice experience and hopefully not your company policy

We all know that it's difficult to get staff in the catering industry, if I have a reserved group + walk-in customers and only one waitress at the start, that's quite sporty. Unfortunately, I didn't get my breakfast until the rest of the group was already finished. I personally didn't think it was that great.

We went to this restaurant for breakfast 3 weeks ago. Due to time constraints, I'm only now getting around to writing the review. As visitors to the beautiful city of Leipzig, we were looking for a nice breakfast buffet, and the website and the extraordinary look of this restaurant appealed to us directly. When we arrived on site, we took a seat at one of the tables outside. The waitress wasn't there for a long time, so I went in and ordered drinks and 2x buffet. The buffet was in the lowest category of what one would even call a buffet. There was, among other things, an almost empty bowl of cucumber salad there, apparently leftovers from the day before, this salad remained almost empty permanently. The scrambled eggs were a dry and crumbly mass that had obviously been in the warming vessel for ages. At 11.45 a.m. the orange juice was out. Still over 1 hour before the end of the buffet. You should check something like this the day before at the latest and, if necessary, arrange for supplies, it's not understandable. But what topped it all off was the sausage platter. It was very hot that Sunday and there were countless flies on the sausage. The sausage was neither cooled nor covered in any way, so breakfast was over for me at that moment. I am a trained hotel manager and have a professional view of such breakfast offers. And with all understanding for weak points and without being overly critical, this was by far the worst and most disgusting breakfast buffet that I personally have ever encountered.

Excellent, diverse and exceptional menu. My son wanted an affogato for dessert, although it wasn't on the menu, it was still made. Incredibly nice service.

I can't comment on the food because the service was so bad that I had to leave before ordering. The place was empty, I was taking a while to choose what to eat because the menu was in German so I had to translate it, the waiter, in addition to not helping me or being friendly, when I told him that I still hadn't decided, he went to the cashier with the other waitress to make gestures of contempt towards me, mocking that I couldn't decide. I really wanted to enjoy the place and try the food but with that attitude it was impossible.

Breakfast buffet on Saturday morning. There's nothing to say about food. As is usually the case almost everywhere, coffee had to be paid extra and that's completely ok. BUT that was the worst coffee we have ever tasted in Leipzig! Once a flat white, once a latte macchiato: too bitter, tasted disgusting, not edible at all, not even drinkable... (and almost 10 euros for two cups). After the first sip, I immediately let a waitress know about it and asked that the coffee be excluded from my bill. I argued and justified it calmly and politely, but the waitress said: "I can only suggest extra sugar or milk so that it doesn't taste so disgusting, nothing else." I tried to explain that it doesn't help at all (and I, for example, don't eat sugar). Then she asked me: "Why are you ordering coffee if you don't even want to drink it?". Incredibly disrespectful behavior... The coffee wasn't excluded from my bill because the waitress said I had to discuss this directly with the boss, who is rarely on site. HUWA - never go back.

We were with a larger group and didn't all arrive at the same time. It was very hot outside and we would have liked to have something to drink straight away. But the menu or service only came after everyone was there (the first guests sat for 20 minutes until everyone was there) and the menu only came when asked. In total we waited an hour for service and until the last drink was on the table. Drinks arrived that we hadn't ordered and some of the first guests had their food and others didn't even have their drink. At the end there were discussions about a drink that we hadn't ordered, which was taken away and probably ended up in the sink. Someone kindly paid for it. Service is different and if you accept large groups in the reservation then you should also set up staff for it be or at least communicate it. We then sat in a smaller group for about an hour with empty glasses and plates, and no one came and asked if we wanted something else to drink. About the food: The burger was fresh and very tasty. And something else personal...the map is good and contemporary but to be honest it was hard to read due to the lighting conditions and the size of the font. I know HUWA from its beginnings and have always enjoyed going there, but I wouldn't recommend it with a large group.

Basically ok, but the tuna in the bowl was a disgrace, gray, tough frozen food.....if that's where Sachimi quality belongs....and that for 21 euros

Yes, we were there in a larger group for the European Championship game and unfortunately we had to wait a long time for the food, an hour. Although there was hardly any food out there, even my starter took a long time. I had the bread with homemade liver sausage and I have to say it was very tasty. And the main course was the hamburger, which was also very tasty. Unfortunately it was a bit dry in some places, but that may also be due to the bread, but there is certainly something you can do about it. Unfortunately the creme brulee wasn't homemade but the peach ice cream was very tasty. The staff was very friendly, maybe a bit overwhelmed and there were a few small mistakes but ok. Maybe a little better next time, I was at peace, but I think there's still a lot that can be done.
