We all know that it's difficult to get staff in the catering industry, if I have a reserved group + walk-in customers and only one waitress at the start, that's quite sporty. We went to this restaurant for breakfast 3 weeks ago. Due to time constraints, I'm only now getting around to writing the review. As visitors to the beautiful city of Leipzig, we were looking for a nice breakfast buffet, and the website and the extraordinary look of this restaurant appealed to us directly. When we arrived on site, we took a seat at one of the tables outside. The waitress wasn't there for a long time, so I went in and ordered drinks and 2x buffet. The buffet was in the lowest category of what one would even call a buffet. There was, among other things, an almost empty bowl of cucumber salad there, apparently leftovers from the day before, this salad remained almost empty permanently. The scrambled eggs were a dry and crumbly mass that had obviously been in the warming vessel for ages. At 11.45 a.m. the orange juice was out. Still over 1 hour before the end of the buffet. You should check something like this the day before at the latest and, if necessary, arrange for supplies, it's not understandable. But what topped it all off was the sausage platter. It was very hot that Sunday and there were countless flies on the sausage. The sausage was neither cooled nor covered in any way, so breakfast was over for me at that moment. I am a trained hotel manager and have a professional view of such breakfast offers. And with all understanding for weak points and without being overly critical, this was by far the worst and most disgusting breakfast buffet that I personally have ever encountered.

I was there with a companion on Friday last week, the table reservation worked great, the service is attentive and very friendly. The food was sufficient and tasty. We had gin and tonic (long horn) which was very good. The ambience is also cool and the music is also very individual to my taste. Unfortunately there is one point of criticism: the DJ who was playing there got louder and louder so that I had to "yell" at each other with my companion because we could no longer understand our own words. Otherwise, gladly again.

I can't comment on the food because the service was so bad that I had to leave before ordering. The place was empty, I was taking a while to choose what to eat because the menu was in German so I had to translate it, the waiter, in addition to not helping me or being friendly, when I told him that I still hadn't decided, he went to the cashier with the other waitress to make gestures of contempt towards me, mocking that I couldn't decide. I really wanted to enjoy the place and try the food but with that attitude it was impossible.

Breakfast buffet on Saturday morning. There's nothing to say about food. As is usually the case almost everywhere, coffee had to be paid extra and that's completely ok. BUT that was the worst coffee we have ever tasted in Leipzig! Once a flat white, once a latte macchiato: too bitter, tasted disgusting, not edible at all, not even drinkable... (and almost 10 euros for two cups). After the first sip, I immediately let a waitress know about it and asked that the coffee be excluded from my bill. I argued and justified it calmly and politely, but the waitress said: "I can only suggest extra sugar or milk so that it doesn't taste so disgusting, nothing else." I tried to explain that it doesn't help at all (and I, for example, don't eat sugar). Then she asked me: "Why are you ordering coffee if you don't even want to drink it?". Incredibly disrespectful behavior... The coffee wasn't excluded from my bill because the waitress said I had to discuss this directly with the boss, who is rarely on site. HUWA - never go back.

We were with a larger group and didn't all arrive at the same time. It was very hot outside and we would have liked to have something to drink straight away. But the menu or service only came after everyone was there (the first guests sat for 20 minutes until everyone was there) and the menu only came when asked. In total we waited an hour for service and until the last drink was on the table. Drinks arrived that we hadn't ordered and some of the first guests had their food and others didn't even have their drink. At the end there were discussions about a drink that we hadn't ordered, which was taken away and probably ended up in the sink. Someone kindly paid for it. Service is different and if you accept large groups in the reservation then you should also set up staff for it be or at least communicate it. We then sat in a smaller group for about an hour with empty glasses and plates, and no one came and asked if we wanted something else to drink. About the food: The burger was fresh and very tasty. And something else personal...the map is good and contemporary but to be honest it was hard to read due to the lighting conditions and the size of the font. I know HUWA from its beginnings and have always enjoyed going there, but I wouldn't recommend it with a large group.

Yes, we were there in a larger group for the European Championship game and unfortunately we had to wait a long time for the food, an hour. Although there was hardly any food out there, even my starter took a long time. I had the bread with homemade liver sausage and I have to say it was very tasty. And the main course was the hamburger, which was also very tasty. Unfortunately it was a bit dry in some places, but that may also be due to the bread, but there is certainly something you can do about it. Unfortunately the creme brulee wasn't homemade but the peach ice cream was very tasty. The staff was very friendly, maybe a bit overwhelmed and there were a few small mistakes but ok. Maybe a little better next time, I was at peace, but I think there's still a lot that can be done.

All in all, I can only warmly recommend the Hundertwasser. No matter what time of day, the ambience, food and drinks are right. You are always greeted in a friendly manner. The staff doesn't shy away from having a conversation, but also gives you enough space for yourself if that's what you want. Requests or problems are addressed as best as possible. You definitely feel safe in Hundertwasser, you can go to the toilet without taking your belongings with you without any worries. There are no evenings where you go home dissatisfied. If you are only in Leipzig for a short time, you shouldn't miss the HUWA!

We were there for breakfast and it's really a great restaurant with a good selection and a varied breakfast menu. The ambience is really great and even though the restaurant is in the city center, it is a quiet environment but not too remote.

We wanted it to be nice, comfortable, high quality and tasty and we wanted to have breakfast in the sun. The sun seemed to work for a while, but in no time it was completely shaded on the valuable and beautiful terrace. So we sat down inside. The store is super beautiful, elegant and particularly decorated. Very comfortable leather bench and armchair. The service was friendly and attentive. The latte macchiato ordered was good and the omelet with avocado and bacon as well as the bread with cream cheese, house-cured salmon, capers, pesto, red onions and tomatoes were delicious. The only thing that took some getting used to was the amount of omelets and no bread served with it. One more egg wouldn't have hurt. It was nice at HUWA, especially in the design and the breakfast selection on offer. If we're back in Leipzig, we'll be happy to come back.

Absolutely surprised, recommended and great - best carbonara outside of Italy - here you don't just know how to cook but here you deal with food and recipes. Finally without cream sauce. Big compliments to the kitchen team!!! Haven't eaten this good anywhere else. Thank you and once again a big compliment - eating is a pleasure and an experience on the palate, not just getting full. It's nice to come there more often.

We were here for the first time last night. I was caught by the great plants and the pleasant light from outside and we thought: “Let’s try it out”. Cocktails were great, but not particularly sweet (sweet lovers might say that it could be sweeter). Upon request, we also had no problem getting Gin Basil Smash, even though it wasn't on the menu. Prices are still within reasonable limits compared to Berlin and Co. We sat upstairs and played a game, which didn't bother anyone. Our waiters were also super nice. Really recommended! The waitress spilled the peach juice on my friend. Something like that can happen, so we showed understanding. Unfortunately it was unfortunate for us as my friend's clothes were completely ruined and our plan for the evening was off. However, the annoying thing was that the waitress didn't bring any napkins or cloths to the cleaners and didn't sincerely apologize. Hello everyone! I deliberately waited a while until I criticized you to the best of my knowledge and belief. We recently visited you with a good 20 people to have something to eat, drink and enjoy the evening. It started off strangely when we had to ask the service person several times to turn off the television so that we didn't have to drown out the roar of football. (Don't worry dear football fans, all other screens continued to run!) The drinks took an incredibly long time to reach our table. Which is not surprising if you let three people do a task and then these three don't communicate with each other. In some cases, drinks came twice or only when asked again. The service staff also didn't seem to have noticed that the table was slowly filling up with used glass. They always brought new drinks, but rarely took empty glasses with them. And now for the biggest point of criticism, your kitchen... yuck! Let's start with the food. I had something with unsalted rice, supposedly wild broccoli and teriyaki sauce. By the way, the shiitake mushrooms in it crunch significantly less if you brush the slats out a little beforehand. 1/10 mushrooms are always a bit earthy. The rump steak advertised simply wasn't one. I'm 99% sure that it was more like a (half) beef minute steak that was cooked to death! ~75 grams of meat is also a bit small for the price. With an Asian noodle box priced at EUR 8, you might be able to do that without feeling like you're being fooled. Somehow the whole dish lacked a bit of power. Okay, on to dessert. Whoever messed up this crème brûlée in the convection oven, please practice it again! Less steam or simply none at all, because you don't need it. Accordingly, it was ultimately watered down. Steam just condenses and then just sits on the product as a thin layer of water. If you don't notice this, the brown sugar on top will also liquefy a little, take on less color when caramelized and the sugar won't be as crunchy as expected. The milk/cream to egg ratio... - The egg clearly won here, which shouldn't be the case. Well, at least it wasn't the sugar in the cream, because it was almost completely missing. Vanilla pod, also not available, not even ground, probably pudding powder instead?! - Really not well done! And it's so easy. -------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------ What are your kitchen staff doing in the kitchen wearing street clothes? And why don't the dirty finches at least wash their fingers after smoking (hopefully just that) when they come back to the kitchen or at least take off the dirty pre-tie before they walk through the shop? Someone has to explain the use of hygiene gloves to the sniffles. They are explicitly not there to protect your fingers from dirt, but rather the sensitive goods that you handle in a kitchen. Therefore, you should not wear it permanently and grab everything with it! By the way, it also leads to flattering skin problems aka 'kitchen scabies'. And the last thing in terms of hygiene is pets in the kitchen, which are then fed by the staff. There really was a big light brown Labrador sitting there (NO joke!) nice at the front left in the 'cold storage' next to the glazed(!) kitchen! - Surely you have a plausible explanation for that?! Good staff is hard to find, I know. You just have to pay attention to hygiene. I'm definitely not coming back, even though I really liked the two-story dining room in the pretty cool corner building. And: By the way, I don't attach any importance to a 'We're sorry you had to go through that experience.' - Answer, because that doesn't change anything. ;)

Very nice bar with integrated restaurant and breakfast bar. There is a large selection of different cocktails and the burgers are very tasty. The atmosphere is appropriate for a bar in the evening. In terms of price, a cocktail is relatively expensive at around 10 euros, but I think that will unfortunately now be standard in 2024. Only the service could be a little more attentive.

I was there for a birthday party, the service was terrible! Although I had informed them beforehand that I have a party there and would deliver the cake and candles in the morning and I told them to please bring the cake and light candles on it, but they delivered the cake without candles! The service wasn't nice, they didn't take care of the orders and we had to wait so long for someone to come to collect our orders. Not friendly at all! It's a pity that I chose this restaurant for my party.

We recently went there with a larger group and probably won't do it again. There were a few points that stood out. When you eat you are literally cheated. The menu, which can also be seen online, under the wok & pan category, says sirloin steak meets wok - broccoli, roasted peanuts, jasmine rice, fried shiitake mushrooms, teriyaki sauce. The food was served in a kind of boat, which was strange, but when I looked for the sirloin steak (I'm expecting a whole piece of meat) I had to look for it first. In the end, you couldn't tell it apart from the shiitake mushrooms because it was chopped up. Did I order sliced ​​meat or fillet strips? There were only 2 long strips of broccoli. In the end the “steak” was probably just 80-100g. Saving, ok, kidding? That is not how it works. Unfortunately, I didn't react quickly enough or with enough clarity of mind to be outraged. Unfortunately the creme brulee wasn't good either, it was more like a sugar egg and very watery. The other reason why it might also be a case for an inspection is that there was a dog in the kitchen. Animals in the restaurant, perhaps all well and good, are familiar from abroad, with cats, etc. But they are not in the kitchen and are usually driven away. The store used to be good, but today it's definitely not a recommendation and worth checking. A pity.

Wir wurden sehr nett und freundlich bedient und haben auch nicht lange auf Speisen und Getränke warten müssen. Die Bedienung war auf Zack und hatte immer noch ein paar nette Worte parat, trotz der Arbeitsbelastung. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und das Essen war auch super. Gewählt haben wir zwei Wok-Gerichte. Gerne jederzeit wieder

After our wedding we had breakfast with our guests at HUWA. Due to the large number of people (16 adults, 2 children, one baby), I had asked for coffee pots in advance, as individual coffee orders would otherwise take too long - this was not possible for us, but they promised that it would still be quick. I also asked for some decoration/a “friendly” table to suit the occasion and they wanted to implement this. When we showed up at the restaurant the table was completely bare and of course a coffee machine for an entire Lokas can NOT quickly make coffee for everyone. I was the last to receive my drink and waited a total of 45 minutes for it. The HUWA also has breakfast buffet prices of just under €14.00 per person. to just under €17.00 per person. raised, is not visible anywhere on the internet. The food was okay, but the service in general left something to be desired, although the service staff on Saturday was very nice and helpful.

Really great bar, unfortunately the staff is more inattentive than I have ever experienced anywhere else. The female waiter prefers to stand at the bar with her cell phone and listen to voice messages rather than serve the customers (3!!! tables were occupied and we had to wait 30 minutes just to be able to pay)...really a shame...

Really chic restaurant, the menu is clear and completely sufficient with a great selection for all preferences. Beer is top (cellar beer is awesome) and the service is great too!

Unfortunately, it was anything but great. There were 9 of us and we were looking forward to it. We had to wait 25 minutes for the first drink. The question: Where are the toilets; Answer: I think up here. It was worked in Russian service, which means that you either take away your dirty dishes yourself or they just stay there. The restaurant could use some cleaning, and that couldn't be overlooked either. Conclusion: no longer recommended. Sorry, unfortunately.

Unfortunately I can only rate the service because we waited 20 minutes for our table to be cleared and for us to get a card. Unfortunately neither happened, we were completely ignored. We then got up and went somewhere else.

Wir nahmen ein Abendessen im HUWA ein.Der Service und das Ambiente ist sehr gut,aber mit dem Essen waren wir nicht zufrieden, insbesondere die Qualität und Quantität des Gerichtes.

Laden ist sehr schön. Freundlich bedeutet anders für uns. Aber ok man kann damit leben

Service leider sehr schlecht. Bei leerem Laden über ne halbe Stunde auf unseren Kaffee gewartet der dann kalt war.

*Essen* Hatte eine Latte Macchiato und einen Weißwein. War sehr gut. *Service* Getränke würden schnell serviert. Freundliches Personal. *Ambiente* Chillige Location auf 2 Etagen, wo man gemütlich sitzen kann, mit Live DJ am Abend (Chillhouse). In der Nähe des beliebten Barfußgässchens, aber abseits des Trubels.

Lecker!!! Egal auf was man gerade Appetit hat. Service Richtig gut…Cocktails mega und angenehmes Ambiente.

Nett Bedienung, tolles Essen, gute Cocktails und sehr Hundefreundlich. Der Napf mit Wasser kam ohne Nachfrage und den Hund wollten am liebsten alle mal kuscheln.

Hatte trotz geplantem Brunch kein Futter,habe die obligatorischen Restbeträge meiner behinderten (geistig) Freunde gezächt,super symp. Services und wurde sehr freundlich des Hauses verwiesen, dementsprechend starke 5 Punkte/Sterne, also volle Punktzahl, gab's 10? Keine Ahnung der Labrador hat alles raus gerissen, ich sag als Franzose Grazie du fantastische (winzige). Kellnerin, MfG Er statt sie (ich bin noch nicht so alt)👍🏻

Die Location und die Lage in Leipzig ist super! Wir waren zum Essen da, welches leider nur 3 Sterne maximal verdient. Die Ofenkartoffel kam kalt an, manche Toppings haben gefehlt und serviert wurde es mit einer Ladung Ketchup, die auf dem gesamten Essen verteilt war. Ebenso die Spaghetti Carbonara kamen mit einer Ladung Ketchup versehen an und der Salat vom Schnitzel war auch ziemlich in Ketchup getränkt. Die Getränke waren sehr lecker und die generelle Auswahl an Essen und Getränken ist sehr vielfältig!

Wir hatten dort Weihnachtsfeier, der für den Abend anwesend gewesene DJ war eine Katastrophe. Zu dem gab es einen Gast der permanent andere Gäste (auch uns) ständig extrem belästigte, dieser wurde erst dann des Restaurant verwiesen als er genug Geld in die Kasse gebracht hatte und auch das Personal nicht mehr sicher war. ZUM POSITIVEN: Mein Essen war köstlich (auf Sonderwünsche wurde ohne zu meckern eingegangen. Unsere Kellnerin war absolut patent, sie kannte die Zutaten jedes Getränks, war freundlich und fix.
