We were warmly welcomed and even though there wasn't a place without a reservation, something was arranged. The food is old German cuisine, veal schnitzel and roast pork. The Paulaner beer speaks for itself. We were there with our 2 children and they were promptly given meal to bridge the waiting time. Food was very good hot and filling. (You also eat to fill yourself up) The waiter was very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is quaint if a bit sterile. The overall package fits so you can recommend it to others.

The food was okay but rather average. The service varied greatly depending on the staff. From friendly to unfriendly. The banana wheat was actually just a wheat with some color. The price is ok, but I would go for lunch somewhere else in Leipzig next time.

On a very hot day we had extremely friendly, competent and fast, confident service. We felt very comfortable there. In the evening we watched the play Oedipus on the Paulaner side, in which my brother was one of the two actors. Being served there in such a friendly and considerate manner at a late hour made this day unforgettable. Thank you very much for that

We came across this place by chance but we found hospitality, kindness and good food, obviously also a great variety of excellent beer. The guy who served us, Nathan, deserves an extra star. Advised.

Friendly service, fast service. The food is rather "simple", Leberkäse with fried potatoes and egg, 1 dry fried egg for 3 pieces of Leberkäse...

It's really crazy that there's anything else out there. All the waiters do a great job and put their heart and soul into it. Every wish is fulfilled as best as possible. I can only recommend everyone to stop there and enjoy the food.

I had dinner there with a few colleagues last week. Both waiters, he and she, were both very nice and courteous. We had a table outside. The furnishings inside are also good. What was negative was the food. Everything on the menu sounded very tasty but the quality was of the lowest level. Every meal in the canteen is better and cheaper. The portion was very small and was served on a square sushi plate but the prices were high. I had a crusty roast, at first glance the meat looked good but when I tried it. The crust was like rubber and tasted musty as if it had been sitting there for a long time and had been reheated in the microwave. Dessert was also not a highlight Kaiserschmarrn. The same thing happened to the other colleagues (different dishes). I thought all Paulaner Restraunts had the same quality. This is the worst Bavarian food I have ever eaten in Leipzig. I definitely can't recommend it here. The regional manager should stop by here and check it out.

Excellent cuisine, very friendly service, simply recommended!

Nathan (“the Italian”) is a great waiter who keeps a close eye on his guests. We particularly liked the fact that he was at eye level with our little one (2.5) and took his order straight away. The food was good, tasty and what you would expect from a brewery. We will definitely come back again!

We stopped at this restaurant to enjoy some soup and a few drinks. Unfortunately, the Munich Flädlesuppe was the worst Flädlesuppe I've ever had. It was definitely not like in Munich. Very disappointing!

Gute rustikale Brauhausküche und leckeres Bier. Das, was man erwartet, bekommt man auch. Die Bänke im Freisitz sind für einen längeren Aufenthalt sehr unbequem.

I was at the Paulaner in Leipzig with my wife on August 9th and 10th. We felt really comfortable on both days, not least thanks to the super nice waiter! The drinks, the food and everything else surrounding it was fantastic! We would be happy to recommend you and will definitely see you again soon.

After our reservation at another restaurant wasn't taken into account, we decided to go to the Paulaner on the spur of the moment. The atmosphere is very cozy, and despite the fact that we were there shortly before the kitchen closed, the service was very attentive, friendly and professional. The food was really good. The portions were large and the price-performance ratio was right here.

One of my favorite places to go when I'm in Leipzig on business. Very attentive, nice staff. Good cuisine - Paulaner.

Great place, been there twice, the service is very good, the food is tasty (schnitzel choices are really nice), cold Paulaner beers. Kitchen closes at 21:00, so come in time if you are hungry.

We ate there twice during our stay in Leipzig. Once before an event. The food is totally overpriced and the portions are puny and uncaring. Sticky fried potatoes, mini schnitzels, not even a small side salad. The chicken salad was an absolute joke. 15 euros for a bit of iceberg lettuce with cucumber, tomato and pepper and a little chicken breast. In the other Bavarian brewery the offering was larger and more varied. But the service was very nice. Still not a recommendation.

Food was delicious, we ordered the pork knuckle and it was tender and had great crackling.

Food and service really top! Unfortunately, I have to deduct two stars for the ambience because, on the one hand, music was played that was inappropriate for my opinion (I was expecting Bavarian music) and, on the other hand, there was no wearing of Bavarian traditional costumes. As a lover of Bavarian culture and lifestyle, I unfortunately came up short 😕

So now we (family 4) ate at Paulaner for the second time. Everyone deserves a second chance. Oh, a free table in the outdoor area. Cool. Everyone else has an open umbrella, except ours and the next table. The clouds are coming, the waiters are clearing the next table. The information here would have been good. (Service) We order drinks, everything is good. It's starting to rain. I ask about the umbrella. The waiter's succinct answer: "It's broken." Of course, there is no table inside. We are now clearing the outdoor area due to heavy rain. Once inside, all the seats at the window (open door = fresh air - summer) were reserved. We ask, no, it's okay, everything is reserved. Logically, we get the cozy table next to the toilet. When asked, it turns out that the guests will only arrive for the reservation in 2 hours. Now we get the chance to change tables. OK. Food arrives, schnitzel with cheese, old Bavarian, normal schnitzel with mushrooms, small schnitzel. These are all standard dishes like last year, right? Portion size okay - unfortunately we didn't like the food, a small salad/cucumber salad with it, we were all missing something fresh. Fried potatoes tasted like French fries spice. Nope, our little son didn't like the mashed potatoes either and he's really the mashed potato expert. Schnitzel meat okay. 95.00 euros, for four meals plus four drinks, well, you could put a little more effort into eating. Drinks well chilled. Observation, the interaction with other guests was not exactly service-oriented either. An elderly lady was asked to take her bag off the back of the chair because it would be a tripping hazard. The lady then placed the handbag on the floor between her feet, irritated. Very cool. I imagined gastronomy with service to be different. Even if you have been doing the job for 1000 years, please wake up and get back to work with enthusiasm. Or are 4.0 reviews enough?

We made a spontaneous reservation and received the table we wanted. The staff is super attentive and friendly, the service was perfect and the food was always great. On top of that, there was a free history of the building and the restaurant. Thank you for a very successful evening.

Wir saßen zu viert an einem sehr sonnigen Tag im Freien vor der Tür. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und schnell. Die Speisen entsprachen vollständig unseren Erwartungen. Die Rechnung war kleiner als erwartet.

Leckeres Essen, gutes Bier, tolle Bedienung - kann man wirklich weiter empfehlen.

Essenbestellung ging fix. Kommunikationsprobleme mit der ausländischen Bedienung habe ich hingenommen: Ich wollte keine Flasche Wasser, sondern nur ein großes Glas. Ok, habe ich dann aus einem Rotweinglas getrunken... Ansonsten war das Essen gut. Kann man empfehlen .

Great German meal and excellent service from our waiter, whose English speaking skills were very helpful and appreciated. Pork knuckle was cooked perfectly as was the schnitzel with a cranberry and cheese topping. Perfect with Paulaner beer! Our best meal in Leipzig.

The food was perfectly fine and the rest was fine too. In my opinion, the portions are being cut in all the wrong places. Then it's better to pay 2 euros more and get a decent side dish.

Wonderful restaurant! I recently had the opportunity to visit this restaurant with my wife's choir and we were all very impressed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff was incredibly attentive. The manager ensured that the servers were doing their jobs and he was always friendly and helpful, inquiring about our needs. Of course, the beer was excellent as always, and the pretzel I tried was delicious and hot. I highly recommend this restaurant!
