Noch nie im Leben haben wir so einen unfreundlichen Kellner erlebt. Wir haben gefragt, wo wir uns hinsetzen dürfen und er hat uns die Wahl gelassen. Dass es ein Tisch ohne Besteck war, welches wir uns aber direkt, nachdem wir das gemerkt hatten, geholt haben, hat für den Kellner ausgereicht, die Augen zu verdrehen und uns zu fragen, ob Verstecke Kamera sei. Nein danke, so etwas unfreundliches ist uns in unserem Urlaub dann doch zu schade.

Never experienced anything so unfriendly! Because we dared to sit at a table that wasn't set, the waiter rolled his eyes and started ranting. He should have just seated us himself. Hospitality doesn't work!

For food: We had a burger and schnitzel with a fried egg. The burgers and fries were incredibly good, but the schnitzel and fried potatoes were unfortunately a disgrace. Without knowing it, it was most likely frozen schnitzel, frozen fried egg, and soggy fried potatoes. Absolutely outrageous for the prices.

Going to Paulaner in Leipzig is worth it! Admittedly, you don't have to eat Bavarian food in Leipzig. But you can! And they have Leipzig dishes too. Besides the delicious food, a highlight was the waiter. He takes the time for a quick chat without neglecting the other guests. In the restaurant's courtyard, there's a stage with Saxon comedy. If we'd known this beforehand, we would have combined it with our meal. The value for money is unbeatable. Main course, dessert, and two drinks for around €35 ​​each. The atmosphere of the restaurant is a smile-inducing Bavarian. The star deduction is for the location between Italian and Asian restaurants and the "empty" restaurant. Our dogs were welcome, had plenty of space, and had water. Unfortunately, this Paulaner is not wheelchair accessible. The walk to the restroom, with its many steep steps, is a real hurdle. Allergies were taken into consideration when it came to the food. The remark when ordering, "this is already my favorite table," was meant as a joke, which I unfortunately didn't understand until later in the evening. All in all, it was a delicious and fun evening with plenty of space for both people and dogs.

It has everything it needs to be successful, but doesn't use it (probably because of the tourists, they don't need it). The food was mediocre; the hollandaise sauce had a strange curry flavor. The service was terrible: We had to go to the counter to be served and then again to pay because the waiter preferred chatting with other guests to doing his job.

Wonderful place to have Traditional German Cuisine

Yes and no. We drove spontaneously from Dresden to Leipzig. We didn't think the price/performance ratio was good. Chicken salad for €17.50 and a 0.4L lemonade for €5.40 were simply too small for the portion we received. It said it came with a baguette, but we got three thin slices that we had to eat dry because there was hardly any sauce. It's a shame. We wouldn't eat there again, so we wouldn't recommend it for filling up.

An unforgettable culinary experience at Paulaner in Leipzig! We visited Paulaner in Leipzig and were absolutely thrilled with our visit. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the two schnitzels with egg we ordered. They were perfectly prepared and practically melted in the mouth. The accompanying French fries were simply spectacular, truly original, and crispy just the right amount. The beer selection was excellent, and luckily, we trusted our server's recommendations. He was a young man, impeccable in his service, and incredibly attentive. He pampered us throughout the evening, entertaining us charmingly without ever being intrusive. He truly gave us a wonderful and relaxed evening. We highly recommend Paulaner to anyone looking for excellent Bavarian cuisine in Leipzig, exceptional service, and a cozy atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

The schnitzel, fried potatoes, and mashed potatoes were delicious. As an adult, I got a child's portion. I appreciate that, and it's not possible everywhere.

Since my aunt is flying from Leipzig Airport today, we wanted to have something to eat in Leipzig beforehand and chose Paulaner Leipzig. The service was first-class – we even had a small dog with us, and the waiter brought a bowl of water without asking. It wasn't just the dog that was happy. Thank you very much for that. Food: No slip-ups or anything like that here either – the knuckle delicacy was a decent portion, and I couldn't even finish it all straight away. The pancake soup must have been quite filling. (: I had the rest of the delicacy packed up, of course. My aunt and co. were also absolutely satisfied with the food. If the opportunity arises again, we'd definitely be happy to stop by again. I wish you continued success and thank you again for the great service.

The ambiance was very nice, and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the food didn't feel like it had the right price-performance ratio for us. The food itself tasted okay, but we were pretty sure that some of the ingredients were convenience foods...the fried potatoes certainly looked like they did. Furthermore, the plates came straight from the oven (the waitress explicitly pointed out to us that the plates were very hot and shouldn't be touched), which is rather unusual for freshly prepared schnitzel. The schnitzel dishes all cost around €20, which would be okay if everything was fresh and the portions were larger. We probably wouldn't go back, as there are much better restaurants serving home-style cooking in Leipzig.

In Leipzig we went looking for a typical German restaurant to eat Schnitzel. We ended up at Paulaner Leipzig. Delicious schnitzels with an ice cold Paulaner. You can't make us happier. The waiter Nathan, the Italian boy, is super friendly!

We were traveling with family and friends in Leipzig. We stopped in for a snack. We felt comfortable from the first second and Rudi always had a saying up his sleeve despite the busyness. Simply TOP

I had a burger with potato wedges, both of which was clearly frozen but still cost 19 €. The people around me had a similar experience with their food and were less than satisfied. Most of it was professional convenience as far as I could determine that and tasted mediocre at best. It is a nice place to grab a beer though and the servers were very friendly. Sit down, have a Beer or a Spezi, but dont touch the menu.

A 1-star rating disguised as a 5-star rating because Paulaner has no way of having the rating deleted. The positive points first: The location and ambience are great and the service was also friendly and courteous. Ideal place to drink a beer, definitely not, because now comes the big BUT: Guys, under no circumstances order anything to eat here. Everything convenience and from the can/packaging - but in maximum simple quality. I'll go through our dishes: > Schnitzel with mushrooms: Formed meat of the purest quality, with over-seasoned canned mushrooms and ready-made sauce > Crusty roast: That had nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with roast pork! The limp piece of meat was more like a rib or cured meat. Indefinable something with ready-made sauce > Pork knuckle: The crust was good, but the product was saturated with fat, which means that the knuckle was heated quickly. As a side dish there were small potato dumplings, which were okay, but completely out of the package. The fourth person at the table suspected it and gave up eating; he was the only one who didn't feel sick afterward. I'm not exaggerating when I describe the kitchen as a maximum disaster. This shop may be 2 euros cheaper than other restaurants in the area, but the price-performance ratio is the worst you can imagine. Save yourself the money, or drink 4 more beers from your existing budget, you'll definitely have more fun!

Decided to give this place a try after reading the reviews online, and we were glad that we made the right choice! Food was great, service was swift and staff were friendly! The restaurant has plenty of seats too. We ordered 2 plates of Schnitzel and a beer, which costed ~€45. Overall, great place to swing by for food and drinks 👍🏻

We always like to go to the Paulaner when we are in Leipzig. Comfortably furnished, great service... who knows how to break the ice between guest and staff. This is how you imagine gastro service. Food is tasty and sufficient. There is always room for improvement, that's why only 4 stars. That's not a complaint! We'd love to come back. Ps. Roast pork wasn't with red cabbage as it says below, but rather sauerkraut. Salad plate was very good.

Tried the Paulaner today. I made a reservation in advance and was greeted with a "joke" referring to my name. As a 10 year old I would have laughed at it, but at almost 40 such "jokes" or sayings have a beard. Otherwise the service was good, the beer was cold and the food was solid. I found the cabbage to be quite bland and with 3 dumplings you shouldn't be so stingy with the sauce. But otherwise everything was good.

Ambience great. Staff very friendly and committed. Unfortunately, the food was so-so, the fried egg was unfortunately very dry and the fried potatoes were unfortunately too bad. Unfortunately, spices are also a secret. Too bad but oh well. Seasoned meat is great for this.

As Leipzigers, we always enjoy eating at the Paulaner. The food tastes excellent every time and the service staff is very friendly. The restaurant manager always has a casual saying on his lips. The restaurant is really highly recommended and very close to the market square. We are already looking forward to the next visit

The food is delicious, always very hot and well portioned. Although it is always quite crowded around mealtime and we were once again there without a reservation, we received a friendly welcome and were able to get a table. However, I would recommend reserving a table, especially if you want to have dinner. If you like good German cuisine, Paulaner is the perfect place for you.

Great service, delicious fresh food, great ambience. The drinks arrive quickly. Food comes quickly and tastes great. Bavarian. Amount of food not huge but sufficient. Service is friendly and quick. Restaurant is large and has many seats. Toilet in the basement. Prices affordable to moderate. We got a seat on Saturday evening without a reservation thanks to the friendly host. We still recommend making a reservation in advance.
