We were a bit skeptical at first because the first impression wasn't particularly good - the restaurant was more reminiscent of an old, outdated bowling alley. But our opinion quickly changed! The service was extremely friendly and tried very hard, which we immediately noticed positively. The selection of German specialties was also impressive and really tasty. Particularly noteworthy are the affordable prices, which round off the overall picture. We were very pleased with how positive our impression changed over the course of the visit and we look forward to coming back more often. We will definitely recommend the restaurant to our friends and acquaintances!

The food was excellent but for our taste it was sometimes a bit random. Very nice service and interesting wine accompaniment, sometimes the explanations were a bit brief.

Yesterday I was able to accompany a 60th birthday party as a DJ, very nice innkeepers and super friendly waitresses. The food is also highly recommended.

We've eaten at the LYC several times now and it's been excellent every time. You sit with a view of Wakenitz and the old town, the service is attentive and friendly and the food is excellent, it couldn't be better.

Der Grünkohl ist eindeutig der beste in ganz Kiel und Umgebung. Daher muss man auch immer einige Monate im voraus reservieren. Im Frühsommer ist es das gleiche zur Spargelzeit. Die Wirtsleute sind immer gut drauf und auch immer für einen lustigen Spruch zu haben. Bei der Gaststätte selbst muss man sich stets bewusst sein, dass es sich um ein Vereinsheim handelt und dass man es optisch nicht mit einem üblichen Restaurant zu tun hat. Es ist alles etwas rustikal, aber genau das macht den Charme aus. Immer wieder gern - und das seit vielen Jahren.

I haven't written a review for a long time but this restaurant completely surprised me and is now my absolute tip on the island. The hosts, the food and the home-made specialties are unparalleled here in the north, it's great that something like this still exists!!! I'm already looking forward to the next time!!!!!

Restaurant located at the northern end of Grömitz's campsites. Connoisseurs of Greek cuisine will get their money's worth here. Restaurant operators are more likely to be classified as Mediterranean. The obligatory ouzo was enjoyed before and after. Salad and grill plates were very good. I would also like to give great praise to the service! Recommend this restaurant and visit again at any time!

I tested it, met a lot of friendly people, and the food was also quite good, I had the schnitzel with paprika sauce, it was tasty, the schnitzel was very good, but I found the paprika sauce to be very spicy ketchup-like, and the consistency was a bit very viscous or very thick, a bit like paste. I think there could and should be some improvement here, but that's just my personal opinion. Overall we felt comfortable, the atmosphere is a bit rustic. I rate it overall with 3.5 stars and round up to 4 stars.
