There is simply one word for food: awesome.
I ate the world's best brawn and tartar sauce there.
And at an unbeatable price/performance ratio.
You felt really comfortable.
Once again a huge thank you to the kitchen.
🥰🥰
After we were told so many good things, we finally got our own impression of the “farmer”. And everything is true. A cuisine close to home is celebrated here with a lot of passion. Down-to-earth yet sophisticated. Sauerbraten, goulash, schnitzel au four: everything tasted wonderful. Familiar, but according to our own recipe. The farmer’s special cake was also a highlight.
The portions of the main courses are very generous. If you can't make it, you can take the rest with you.
Yes, you sometimes have to be patient until the food comes;
But everything is fresh and home cooking at the highest level.
Those who are particularly hungry should simply order a small appetizer. 😉
A final word about the ambience: It is exactly what you imagine with this restaurant name:
Cozy, warm, homely, familiar.
We felt warmly welcome.
They charged us more than the price we had negotiated. We had kalepache there. We were a group of 9 people. The price on the menu is 12 euros. I made the reservation over the phone and asked for 4 of the 9 plates without pache and more substitute of meat. I was told that only for those 4 we should pay 15 euros but at the end they charged us 16.5 for all the dishes because we asked for more bread and lemon and because they served us teabag tea which we thought was part of the service. After I told them the price was supposed to be 15 only for those 4 dishes, the owner told us very aggressively she should have charged us 18 euros. I hardly ever leave any reviews but I am very frustrated with their dishonesty. Never going back.
Those who are picky eaters know that tea with four lemons and bread on the side is part of the service. They don't increase the price because of it. Later, we were supposed to pay 15 euros instead of giving more meat, not all of them, but in the end they took 16.5 euros from everyone. Apart from that broth, both of them wanted to have a bowl. It makes no sense to tell fat people to eat two of the same bowl together. We protested and then sent it to everyone
A wonderful little restaurant where you feel at home. The landlady gives you a warm and friendly welcome, as if you've known each other for a long time. She's a cheerful person and works very hard to ensure everything is to our satisfaction. We had single rooms, which were cutely small but perfect for our two nights. Wi-Fi was also available in the rooms. We were invited to a silver wedding anniversary celebration and had a fun evening. The celebration meal was delicious, tasty, and featured a plentiful buffet of varied dishes. It was lovingly prepared. The service staff was young and fulfilled every wish. We will definitely come back for dinner. We wish the innkeepers continued success and good health. The Schleswig-Holsteiners
A really cute little restaurant. The waiters are super nice and the food is always delicious.
It's really cozy and has funny signs hanging around the house.
My in-laws love coming to eat with you and always take the whole family with them.
However, there is one small minus point:
There are usually around 18-20 people. It's always a shame when the food is brought out in such a mess. Unfortunately, it is not possible for everyone to eat together. Because when the last person has their food, the first person is usually already finished.
Otherwise we always really enjoy coming.
The waitress was very friendly. However, the wait for the food was quite long.
The salad plate was a bit lackluster, and the little dressing lacked flavor.
Perhaps a creamy sauce with herbs or some nuts. It could have been better...
It's a shame that the chicken breast in the salad was made from leftover chicken breast or broiler. It didn't taste very good and was also incorrectly labeled.
Hence only 3 stars and I'd rather have a salad from the kebab downstairs.
