I wanted to order hummus from Crazy Falafel through Wolt. Curiously, my order was not accepted. I made my way to the store to pick up the hummus myself. There was only one employee in the store who spoke neither English nor German. When I told him that I wanted hummus and even pointed to the container with the hummus, he looked at me in surprise and said, “Hummus ready.” However, there was still plenty of hummus in the container. After a few more unsuccessful attempts to convince the gentleman that I would like hummus, I gave up and left the store. I still have no idea why I didn't get hummus. From experience I can say that the hummus tastes great. However, the service and cleanliness of the store leave a lot to be desired…

Went spontaneously with my father today (I was there 30 years ago) at the Thiele Schenke around lunchtime. It was very well attended and we got 2 seats at the regulars' table, hardly any waiting time, delicious food and 2 very nice waitresses. Everything stayed the same, rustic and cozy. Great👍

After ordering, we had our lunch after about 20 minutes. on the table.Unfortunately, the sauerbraten and the venison roast have no taste and no spice such as salt.A sauerbraten should taste like sauerbraten and a venison roast should taste like venison and not like meat and sauce.So a little more taste would be nice.J.Stellmacher

Grandma would be proud: belly full, heart happy! The good feeling started when I made the reservation: Hugo, who had the friendly voice on the phone, greeted me as warmly and funny as a long-lost school friend. Table reservation no problem! When we finally entered the venue on a quiet Thursday, the restaurant was yawningly empty. We were warmly welcomed – we felt like guests of honor. To warm up, we decided on the seasonal combination of onion cake and Federweißer. The onion cake tasted OK, although it was very dough-heavy. But we didn't come for the diet. Then, after a reasonable wait, the main courses were served: I ordered the “Schnitzel Tharandter Wald” with fried potatoes. This was my culinary superhero. The breading was delicious and very crispy. At my request, the mushroom sauce was served separately so that the schnitzel retained its crunchy crown. My companion raved about the onion roast with a “super hot sauce”, also accompanied by fried potatoes and a beetroot salad, which was incredibly tasty. The portions were really something for those very hungry. However, I added a little more salt to my mushrooms in the sauce and the fried potatoes, it somehow lacked the final kick, kind of like fireworks without a bang, but that's a culinary pointer on my part and not a criticism of the chef. A word about the service: Both the chef and the waiter were careful to ensure that we didn't lack for anything, the chef asked if we were enjoying our food and the waiter asked about our well-being in his very charming way to ensure that that the smile doesn't fall off our faces. In summary: We felt completely comfortable. Absolute recommendation! Go there, enjoy the home-style cuisine and take a big smile home with you.

Quite good for going out to eat quickly. The selection is good, there are daily items, some of it is self-service.
