A piece of home in a wonderful setting – absolutely top-notch and freshly prepared food. The Waldeck is practically an insider tip for non-locals. Under charming Dutch management, it's very chilled, with a fireplace inside and a lovely terrace outside. Selected but delicious dishes. You can eat the rump steaks, and the schnitzels are also delicious. Excellent salads.

We were guests at this hotel as part of an event in Cologne. Wonderfully located in the countryside, between 20 and 30 minutes from Cologne. We were warmly welcomed and the rooms were clean. After a little mishap in Cologne, I was even offered ice packs to keep me cool! The breakfast buffet is plentiful and everyone will find something. I'd be happy to come back when I'm in the area. There are sufficient parking spaces next to the hotel.

Good home cooking. Great view. Friendly service. The landlord can't do anything for guests who think they have to make loud phone calls.
