Great restaurant, nice, quick staff. Good drink prices. Were there for the concert, good atmosphere. Will be back.

Unfortunately disappointing - service and work organization leave a lot to be desired. We wanted to end the Sunday afternoon comfortably in the pavilion with a coffee and Forster Plinsen. It was well attended, but by no means overcrowded. What awaited us, however, was a completely overwhelmed service staff who, within ONE WHOLE HOUR, failed to even notice us or at least communicate to us that the order might take some time. Such tense situations can sometimes occur and with information you could deal with them as a guest. But unfortunately it wasn't like that. At some point I lost count of how many times she walked past our table empty-handed - without a sign of attention or a hint. When we finally found out from other guests that they had to wait another hour for their Plinse after ordering, we decided to leave the restaurant without having achieved anything. My suggestion: urgently work on the work organization (there are already several reviews on this here) and the service and perhaps only put dishes on the menu that can be served in a reasonable time - so that a beautiful excursion destination does not turn into another place of disappointment for the city of Forst. @Reply to your comment on my review: Thank you for your detailed feedback. It's nice to see that you didn't like the situation as much as we did. At the same time, we would like to emphasize that our criticism was in no way meant to be malicious, but rather resulted from genuine disappointment with what we experienced. Of course, we understand that short-term staff absences are difficult to manage - especially on a Sunday. Nevertheless, from your guests' perspective, it is important that a certain standard is maintained. A friendly tip from the on-site staff would have helped. And of course the guests are not responsible for this. Our goal was not to lecture anyone, but to provide honest feedback in the hope that future guests have a more pleasant experience. Especially since other previous reviews also describe similar experiences. If you say that our evaluation “helps no one”, then we would like to respectfully disagree - because constructive criticism is an important part of EVERY development process. And what this also means is that you don't just turn the tables and hold honest and polite reviewers responsible for mistakes. We wish you all the best.

Yesterday the two of us had a spontaneous meal at the Weißen Roß. A real culinary experience. The lumberjack steak was mega. We'll definitely be back.

I expected a lot of things, but not this! The people in this pub are just sugar. The service is open, friendly and there is simply nothing to complain about. There were two of us eating and what was served could have fed twice as many of us. It was a celebration for us. You could actually buy accommodation along the Neisse, but that won't work due to the fullness in your stomach area. The food is delicious and worth every dollar. Be sure to come in and let yourself be pampered. Gladly again if you come back from the Baltic Sea in summer. See you soon.

Always happy to be the barman is a force, he knows his craft and puts his heart and soul into it

We were in the Sperlingsstübl for the first time yesterday, and I have to say it was a nice and cozy place. The service was very polite, courteous and quick. The food: large selection, good portions and very tasty. The price-performance ratio is right here. Can be recommended with a clear conscience. We'll definitely be back. We were cycling again. Monday! Drive through Brandenburg, take sandwiches with you. The exception is always driving in the forest. We arrived after 2 p.m. But the super nice staff and the great kitchen lady naturally made us two delicious breakfasts. We are already looking forward to the next visit.

We are very disappointed! Were there today for the first and definitely the last time! We wanted to eat plinse at coffee time and sorry, but I've never eaten such bad plinse! No side dish, just plain with sugar/cinnamon. No applesauce, ice cream, nothing was offered! And unfortunately you didn't taste it either! A very strange aftertaste! Then the super bad service! We were just asked what we wanted to drink! There wasn't even juice for children! There was only red shower...that was it! We weren't even offered coffee, nothing! Or exactly that there was no menu that you could take a look at........ After we drank, we were left to our own devices and disappeared into the beer garden with others! Children kept running into the kitchen and they even had Nutella with the lentils! Others came to chat and stood in the kitchen door the whole time.......still others had coffee with them, which was then the payment! There was no overview of who the staff was there! ............ The mini "dining room" (if you can even call it that) wasn't exactly inviting! No music, you could see into the kitchen......... door to the toilet/yard constantly open! All in all, it was our first and definitely our last time there! As a guest you didn't have the feeling that you were welcome and unfortunately you weren't treated like a guest either! P.S. Even the parking situation was a joke! Everyone parks how and where they feel like it!

The head of the town talk recommended a Thai meal to us, 21 people. Everything freshly prepared, lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, 2 main courses, sushi and much more. Served by his Thai wife in Thai clothing and Thai ambience. Unfortunately we were disappointed! The food was not as advertised. Sushi not homemade. No fruit, dips served too late. Only 1 main course of mashed potatoes and breaded chicken. Rice in a champagne glass. An absolute disappointment for Thailand connoisseurs. Nothing of the agreement was implemented. We are very disappointed. The waitress had no insight into the order or the billing. We've eaten very well in the talk of the town, but this evening was a disappointment. We couldn't recommend a Thai theme evening more highly.
