We were there with the family on December 25th. for lunch in the restaurant. We wanted to spend our first Christmas without our grandpa away from home for a change. The restaurant is clean and well-kept, the service is very attentive and warm. When it comes to the food, our expectations were far exceeded. The food is all fresh and homemade (at least it tastes that way). My roast duck was to die for. We made reservations immediately for Easter Sunday next year. The rest of the family also enjoyed it without exception. The cleaned plates spoke volumes…

We spontaneously went to this place while staying Eimeldingen. This restaurant is great. Great game dishes. Very friendly service. The dishes are a good price and delicious. Nice wine selection and description. So happy I found this place.

Even better and tastier with the new owner

Wow, what a delicious meal we had here. We were passing through and slept nearby. We drove here in the dark and wondered upon arrival whether we were in the right place. It seemed like it was in the middle of nowhere, but once inside it looked like a cozy restaurant/sports canteen. A friendly Italian family runs the restaurant and makes everything in their own kitchen. Fresh ravioli, lasagna, spaghetti and tagliatelle. After having a hard time choosing between all the goodies, we opted for a schnitzel and the cordon bleu with delicious potatoes from the oven. The schnitzel was delicious, freshly breaded and tender. You also get quite large portions. We couldn't eat everything and took some home. The pieces of bread that were put on the table also tasted delicious. We will definitely come here again next time!

I visited the Gasthaus zum Anker a long time ago and was overall very satisfied. The food was really good - the dishes are freshly prepared and taste homemade, with a down-to-earth yet creative touch. Particularly noteworthy was the fish, which was obviously fresh and cooked to perfection. The service was friendly and attentive. The staff put a lot of effort into looking after us well without seeming intrusive. Special requests were also responded to flexibly, which made the stay very pleasant. The atmosphere in the Gasthaus zum Anker is cozy and invites you to linger. The traditional furnishings create a relaxed atmosphere in which you immediately feel at home. It is the perfect place to spend a relaxing evening with good food and good company. Overall, a recommended address if you are looking for good, regional cuisine and friendly service. I'd love to come back!
