A very friendly, family-run hotel. Modern, air-conditioned rooms. Fantastic food and a beautiful garden for outdoor seating. Top-notch.

This is my third time here. The food prices are steep, but the quality is excellent. Wine has become more expensive than average. What was very disappointing this time was the hotel room. For the first time, we had a room in the main building above the restaurant. The room itself is "okay," but a disappointment when you normally stay in the new building. Everything creaks, the train is audible and you can feel it passing by. The rooms are also very noisy. Unfortunately, I was unlucky enough to be with a family with three children who clearly still had a lot of energy. We will definitely come back, but this time for a different room in the annex. (This time I traveled alone.)

We actually eat at the restaurant regularly. The quality of the food and the service are always excellent. Just one comment. Two days ago, we ate outside in the garden. It would have been more inviting with a white tablecloth. The tables are uncomfortable without a tablecloth, and some are even slightly dirty. Perhaps a small note could make the situation even more inviting.

Can't understand the good reviews. Rooms are okay. The breakfast is standard. The hotel owners' treatment of us guests was unspeakable, from the phone call and the welcome to our departure. Perhaps the lack of motivation is due to the fact that we didn't reserve a table for dinner.

I cannot rate the hotel as such, as we were only guests of the restaurant, but we were still very satisfied. The fast and smiling service underlined the excellent work of the chef. The entercote steak was done exactly as we wished and there was in fact nothing to complain about. The only thing I missed and what we are used to at home in the Czech Republic is the ability to choose a sauce and side dish for such fantastic and high-quality meat. However, the boiled vegetables as a garnish were delicious. Thank you and see you soon.

A very friendly welcome despite it being a day off. A beautiful room in the new, stylishly designed guesthouse; views of the vineyards and church with a stork's nest on the tower. It's also ideal for meetings and conferences. Beautiful, bright rooms with views of the small, beautifully landscaped garden. A large, delicious breakfast buffet in the conservatory with a view of the magnificent garden. It was lovely, even if only for one night.

This place isn't as nice anymore, and the staff is so unfriendly. And the way the boss treats most of the employees is so rude, I'm surprised people still want to work there. I'm never going to eat there again!

The most amazing meal our family has had in Germany. We were genuinely impressed. I had the cordon bleu, perfectly crisp on the outside, tender and full of flavour inside. Tuna was beautifully cooked and incredibly fresh but the best thing I could eat was the asparagus soup. Even our daughters enjoyed their meal, which made the experience all the more special. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was absolutely amazing and attentive throughout. An unforgettable dining experience, and we would return without hesitation.

Beautiful hotel opposite the train station. Ample parking. A historic building, a modern building. Nice, large rooms! Dinner in the restaurant was very good. Excellent quality and good service. Great breakfast! Value for money in every respect.

The food was very good, as were the portions. Service was pleasant, polite and attentive. Rather higher price range, but still reasonable. The menu is manageable, but in my opinion this speaks for very good quality - less is more. Good selection, something for vegetarians/vegans too. Reservations make sense.

I saw this lovely place and decided to get in for a nice tea and dessert. Before I went to the bathroom to wash my hands, unfortunately when I took my place at the table, my friends called me and asked me to join them urgently at the train station, earlier than I had expected. So I had to excuse myself and nicely said that we would come to eat in the evening. The hostess gave me a very rude remark meaning that I just came in to use the toilet. One shouldn’t judge people like that now I will never get to that place Again and I don’t recommend it for its staff is rude.

My wife and I have often been guests at Walsers. We have never been disappointed so far. Always very good food, good wine, perfect service and a feel-good atmosphere. Es war wieder sehr gut bei Walsers in Efringen Kirchen ! Wir bekamen wieder einen frischen gemischten Salat und eine schöne Kürbis Suppe dan das Kalbs Gordon bleu und dann noch den Traumhaften Affocato wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder hier hin zurück !

The rooms are exquisitely decorated and refreshingly beautiful for the soul. You can immediately feel that a lot of commitment and love went into the design. I have rarely experienced such a beautiful room. I was very excited! The breakfast was also very tasty, with natural ingredients, everything was very fresh and beautifully prepared. This review is really not an exaggeration, we had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our stay. The atmosphere in the house and the friendliness of the staff were also very pleasant. What can I say? Simply perfect. The restaurant offers a small selection of food. To the highest quality. The boulabaise is really amazing. They can't do better in Marseille. We were there with the family on December 25th. for lunch in the restaurant. We wanted to spend our first Christmas without our grandpa away from home for a change. The restaurant is clean and well-kept, the service is very attentive and warm. When it comes to the food, our expectations were far exceeded. The food is all fresh and homemade (at least it tastes that way). My roast duck was to die for. We made reservations immediately for Easter Sunday next year. The rest of the family also enjoyed it without exception. The cleaned plates spoke volumes…

We went there for dinner with friends without staying overnight, so I can only rate the restaurant. The atmosphere is modern but cozy, especially the winter garden. In summer there is a lovely garden where you can eat outside. The staff is very friendly and considerate. The food was very tasty and a nice selection of wine, even with the selection of open wines. It was a very nice evening, thank you very much. Be sure to reserve in advance as it is always well attended.

My room is located in the second building. It looks all new and has modern look and feel. The room is spacious. It has a nice shower. The room has airconditioning so you can cool down after an active day outdoors. On a Wednesday the restaurant is closed. The staff can advise you on other restaurants. Breakfast buffet has a variety of fruit, bread and scrambled and cooked eggs. The coffee is tasty. It’s a hotel to keep on our list!

We stopped here on our trip to Markgräflerland and had a wonderful meal! The service was excellent! Very idyllic garden terrace.

Breakfast was very good, conditions there were very friendly. Unfortunately the lady at the reception was very unfriendly/impolite. Room was spartan. Beds/mattresses were not very comfortable. Due to the design, the rooms are noisy, especially from noises from the hallway. The chimney directly outside the window made an unpleasant whistling noise every few minutes.

The menu is small but fine and reasonably priced. The veal cordon bleu costs €32. However, the quality is totally convincing. Due to the location near the train station, train noises can be clearly heard at night when the window is open.

War jetzt zweimal mit einen Geschäftspartner dort. Jedes Mal gehobene Küche, v.a. das Fleisch (Kalb) war qualitativ wirklich eine andere Liga. Hier bekommt man positiv das, was man bezahlt. Der Service war bei den Getränke wieder sehr aufmerksam. Etwas, was ich oft nicht erlebt. Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert. Dazu eine sehr bredte Weinkarte.

Very tasty food and beautiful beer garden.

Wir waren am Muttertag zum Abendessen im Walsers. Zu unserer Überraschung würde uns eine spezielle, kleinere Karte vorgelegt. Darüber wurden wir bei der Tisch Reservierung nicht informiert. Das Essen war sehr lecker, aber es wurde pro Gang ein „Muttertags-Zuschlag“ von 2 bis 4 Euro berechnet ( Spargel 33 Euro statt 29.80 Euro, Schinken 12 Euro statt 10 Euro, Salat 11 Euro statt 9.80, ….). Das scheint mir weder legal (vor dem Eingang war die normale Karte mit den normalen Preisen aufgegangen) noch legitim. Leider haben wir diesen Umstand ärgerlicher Weise erst bei Verlassen des Restaurants bemerkt.

Wir waren am Valentinstag zum Abendessen. Die Tische waren sehr schön eingedeckt ( Rosen) und das Essen perfekt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren am Sonntag da und bestellten den Rinderrücken. Das Fleisch war, wie wir wollten saignant. Die Beilagen waren sehr gut. Der Service aufmerksam, kompetent und schnell. Manchmal fast zu schnell. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir haben in Walsers Zweites Haus für 2 Tage getagt. Sehr hübscher heller Tagungsraum mit liebevoller Einrichtung. Toller Service. Uns wurde fortwährend Kaffee auf Wunsch serviert. Die Zimmer waren zweckmäßig und modern eingerichtet. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Eines der besten Restaurants im Markgräflerland! Hervorragende Küche, schönes Ambiente & top Service.

Hotel + Restaurant. Unfreundliche Eigentümer und Kellner (nicht die Mädchen beim Früstück). Im Restaurant hatte man nicht alle Weine von der Karte; teurer Wein, nicht auf der Karte, aber schon, den brachten Sie ohne Fragen. Zu viel Spätzle und Tagliatelle auf dem Teller (€ 35 - € 38) aber total keine Gemüse. Die Zimmer waren sehr gut, die Kissen aber erbärmlich weich.

Extrem zuvorkommendes Personal, große, modern eingerichtete Zimmer, tadellos sauber sind. Sehr zu empfehlen ist auch das Restaurant. Insgesamt stilvolles Ambiente, dabei völlig ungezwungen. Auch die Lage direkt gegenüber des Bahnhofs ist klasse. Basel ist so sehr gut erreichbar. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung!

Pro: - Betten - ausreichend frisches & gutes Frühstück - das angestellte Personal ist freundlich - schönes Ambiente während dem Frühstück Contra: - der Empfang durch die ältere Dame des Hauses war eine Unverschämtheit (0,0% kundenorientiert, unfreundlich, arrogant, süffisant) - lustigerweise wird dem Gast am Ankunftsabend bestimmend mitgeteilt vor dem Einchecken SOFORT und NUR mit Kreditkarte zu zahlen, nur damit einem am Morgen angeboten wird "ganz entspannt nach dem Frühstück zu zahlen" - wer online (Apple Karten App) angibt 24h lang geöffnet zu haben, aber die Rezeption um 22:00 /22:30 Uhr schließt und alle Mitarbeiter im Begriff sind mit ihren Taschen nach Hause zu fahren, sollte seine Öffnungszeiten anpassen lassen - trotz leerem Kundenparkplatz und Nachfrage wird man für die Nacht auf den Parkplatz eines Kiosks verwiesen - das Haus definiert den Begriff "Suite" unter: 2 Betten, einem Monitor aus dem Jahre 2001 und weißen Decken im Landhausstil ohne Besonderheiten die über die herkömmliche Hotelzimmerausstattung hinausgehen

Nettes feines Hotel mit sehr freundlichen Betreibern und Personal. Vor allem sauber und was das neue Walsers betrifft, auch sehr schön ruhig. Die Speisen im Restaurant sind sehr gut, zeugen aber hinsichtlich der Preise von der unmittelbaren Nähe zur Schweiz.

Wir waren am Sonntag Mittag bei Walsers zum Essen und alles war wieder sehr gut ! Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder hier hin zum schön essen !

Wir haben versucht ein Zimmer für ein paar Nächte zu Reservieren. Kurz und knapp, ich kann nichts über den Zustand des Hotels und Service beitragen. Was ich aber beitragen kann, ist eine Auskunft zur Kommunikation des Betreibers. Eine Kontaktaufnahme von uns erfolgte über den telefonischen Weg. Hier wurde uns mittgeteilt, dass wir eine Anfrage über den Weg der E-Mail wählen sollen und die Tochter des Telefonisten sich dem ganzen annehmen würde. Fazit: Nach 1,5 Wochen noch immer keine Reaktion auf die Anfrage. Die angegebene E-Mail Adresse kontrolliert, da lag kein Fehler unsererseits vor. Wir haben uns dann einen anderen Schlafplatz gesucht.

Gastvrij, vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ruime schone kamers, heerlijk eten. De tuin is erg mooi en het is zalig om er te eten als het weer het toelaat.

Gereserveerd voor onze zomervakantie naar Italië. Via e-mail gereserveerd voor zowel de heen als terugweg. Reservering voor heenweg was is orde. 1 dag voor de terugreis wilde ik via mail nog eens bevestigd hebben dat we een babybedje op de kamer hadden. Bleek ineens dat ze geen kamer beschikbaar hadden, foutje. Als reactie werden twee opties in de buurt meegestuurd die ik kon benaderen. Pas nadat ik aangaf dat ik het fatsoenlijk zou vinden als zij dit zouden regelen volgde actie. Uiteraard hadden deze hotels geen kamers beschikbaar (familie met 3 kinderen, familiekamer of 2 naastgelegen kamers). Wederom werd er pas weer actie ondernomen nadat ik aangaf dat ik het fatsoenlijk vond als zij met een oplossing zouden komen. Hierna volgden nog 3 suggesties van hotels en mocht ik het oplossen. Uiteraard zaten deze ook vol. Uiteindelijk zelf het geheel moeten oplossen wat veel tijd heeft gekost op onze laatste vakantiedag. Bovendien heeft dit meer geld gekost. Een foutje kan maar los het dan goed op!
