Subject: Disappointing Experience at Wirtshaus am Dom – April 6, 2025 Dear Wirtshaus am Dom Team, I was invited by Bauer to Munich to attend the Bauma. I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding the service I experienced during our visit to your restaurant in Augsburg on April 6, 2025. While we initially enjoyed our dinner and a bottle of Salzl Zweigelt Reserve 2019, we asked for a recommendation for a second wine. The waiter suggested a Trollinger Trocken. After tasting it, I politely commented that it felt too light compared to the first wine. To my surprise, the waiter responded—using a phone translator—with the phrase "it was your problem." When I asked to speak with the owner, he told me he was the boss. When I replied that we would not return, he answered, "it's up to you." This kind of response was shocking and unprofessional, especially from someone claiming to represent the restaurant as the manager or owner. It left a very negative impression on all of us. As visitors from abroad to Germany, we were looking forward to experiencing warm Bavarian hospitality. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below our expectations. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used as an opportunity to improve how guests are treated in the future.
