A spontaneous decision to go out to dinner resulted in us driving around the area talking on the phone for over an hour and receiving one rejection after the next. We finally decided on a “good luck” basis for this restaurant, which we have known since childhood (“Café Drei”), but which has undergone various concept and operator changes during this time. None of the past concepts have achieved the status of “favorite restaurant”. The new ambience is very cozy (almost “cozy” with orange-yellow dim lighting), the staff is very friendly and charming. Of course the view is great during the day, but in the evenings and at night it's just dark. Nevertheless, a table by the window – fine. Good card, everything essential is there. We ordered zander fillet and Fettina Romana. Reasonable waiting time, drinks cold and fresh. Well, and then it happened. The pike perch was perfectly cooked, not dry and very tasty, the sauce was extremely rich in flavors. Potato gratin also very tasty; Maybe a little mild, but pepper and salt mills are available. Better than too much of a good thing. The meat of the Fettina was also on point, there was no coward at the pan here. Soft pink with just not raw “middle fiber”. The flavors were put together very skilfully, nothing dominated unpleasantly. Because it can't go without criticism: croquettes aren't necessarily the side dish I would have chosen - but everyone is different. And it certainly wouldn't have been a problem to change the supplement. Anecdote: While we were waiting for the food, a couple entered the dining room and asked for a seat and a menu in halting English. The waitress replied friendly in fluent English and invited the guests to a table. Returning with the cards, she heard the two of them talking in Danish and from then on continued the conversation in fluent Danish. Bravo! Conclusion: The best “emergency solution” ever. Definitely not the last time there. Better than the Acquarello in Solitude. I haven't been to Odore del Mare for a long time, and the service there is "trickier". In this respect, the Italian of choice at the moment. For pizza, however, the tip is still: Pizzateca da Tonis on Norderstraße. EDIT: Unfortunately too inconsistent. There are now more “mixed” experiences than good ones and unfortunately also a really bad experience. If you consider yourself a lucky person, you might be able to eat very well there. For everyone else, it's too much of a hit and miss.
