We were there at lunchtime. A quarter of the tables in the dining room were occupied, the beautifully sunny and warm terrace was empty. The bad-tempered waiter was certainly not overworked, quite the opposite. He was reluctant to serve us outside, even though the tables were set. Guests who arrived after us even had to carry their orders from the dining room to the terrace themselves. Very unfortunate. Addendum/Answer: The above-mentioned guests who arrived after us had picked up their own menus from inside since no employee was there to look after them on the terrace (as was the case with us). They walked past our table and talked about how the waiter had told them they had to get their own order. We left the restaurant shortly afterwards, so we don't know what happened next. But after we had previously received very unfriendly service ourselves, we had no reason to doubt this statement. On the topic of lunch break: Everyone has the right to a lunch break, and if we had been asked to leave the restaurant with this statement, we would have completely understood. But there was no evidence that there was a break here. Especially since we just wanted to drink something, which has nothing to do with the kitchen's opening times.

A completely Italian restaurant that is fully geared towards both local and, above all, out-of-town customers – and still offers quality food! The pizzas are handmade and just like you'd expect from Italy; with the other meals, you might sometimes think your grandmother is in the kitchen (in a good way). Sure, sometimes you make a mistake with your meal choice, but for the most part, you still get good food and, above all, it's served quickly (!). The staff is friendly and accommodating; on rare occasions, the Italian temperament comes out, especially when the workday has been long and some customers are less than respectful. If you know how to handle it, you can overlook it. For example, during a visit last year, I had a glass of red wine that already had serious off-flavors (it was definitely "off"). A complaint was successful, but only accompanied by comments in Italian, which, given the tone of voice, didn't even need translation (that's part of the Italian temperament). All in all, it's a solid Italian restaurant that I look forward to every time I'm in Immenstaad.
