I found the Pizza Rustica quite tasty and well topped.
The service is also nice and quick.
The location right next to the Hotel Engelhorn is of course great for travelers like me.
Have been there for years. When ordering the food, the innkeeper praised his menu of the day... my girlfriend chose a la carte, I chose the meal of the day (filled dumplings with salmon sauce) and a side salad. Unfortunately I didn't ask about the price... when I paid I was blown away... the dumplings cost over €18 plus the salad... the food itself was good, but you almost had to look for the side salad on the plate , taste OK. Drinks corresponded to the usual prices.
Service super friendly and helpful. The ambience would be almost beautifully furnished if it weren't for this electronic error that causes all the lights to flicker every second, which is very unpleasant. Price performance at first it seems very cheap, when you get Dan the carbonara it was served with cream, so after 7 bites the plate was empty and you were still very hungry, what can that be attributed to the price or the quality. Difficult to judge. Cannot judge good or bad.
A nice little Italian restaurant with very friendly hostesses. The dining room is small and the guests sit close to each other, which makes Nuova Casa Pompa ideal for small parties. The decoration is slightly rustic but lovingly furnished with a bit of shish, which is a bit unusual for an Italian restaurant, but makes it quite homely.
The food is of exceptional quality. I can say that they have the best Bolognese in the Stuttgart area. It is a fruity, slightly spicy Bolognese based on pure beef, which is particularly beneficial to our Muslim fellow citizens. Homemade bread is served with a very good Italian olive. The menu varies from week to week, so it's worth calling in advance to inquire about the daily menu. My companion had a good salmon with fresh vegetables, and everything about the dish was just right. We would love to come back and a visit is highly recommended.
Good food, good pizza, good wine, the staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Unfortunately the ambience leaves a lot to be desired, great pictures, but very loud, restless, I lack cloth napkins and tablecloths for a perfect experience...
Recommended.
Not recommended in my opinion. If a pizzeria is in the upper price segment, then the price-performance ratio must also be right. Salad had no taste, the seafood pizza tasted like rubber. The mini tablecloths dirty. Each extra plate, e.g. if a pizza is shared, must be paid extra. This is not mentioned when ordering. This is not the case at my Italian restaurant around the corner. In the future, pizza will only come from Italian restaurants.
The restaurant was well attended. We had reserved a table. At first we stood in the restaurant for ages until the landlord, after speaking to us several times, allowed us to show us the place.
The landlord was annoyed and had little patience when ordering.
The crowning moment was the reckoning.
There was half a liter of wine too much on the bill, which we complained about. He only reimbursed us half with the words "don't you know what you drank." No apology, just blaming colleagues.
In order to avoid an escalation, we left it at that.
CONCLUSION: Service is terrible
Food delicious which explains the 🌟 stars.
