I have known the tavern for over 30 years and visited it regularly for a long time. I was very pleased that despite the changing management, the food was always prepared to a consistently high standard and the offering remained (largely) good. My absolute favorite was always the ouzo platter, which I was really looking forward to before our last visit. Without a reservation we were seated at a cat table early on a Thursday evening. Guests who arrived later were given better seats, even though they had not booked in advance. The obligatory tzatziki starter was good as always. The gyro was also ok. But the minced meat and skewers clearly lacked seasoning and the potatoes were significantly less crossy than usual. The service also didn't pay enough attention to us and other guests. Unfortunately, a 15 km journey is no longer justified. Too bad!
