Rather inconspicuous from the outside; Actually a very nice beer garden, with food and service at a high level. Fortunately, Eleo also sees itself as 'the classic Greek', who gives the guest the ouzo they are thirsty for. That's how it works! The prices are reasonable and the interior is of a modern standard. As is well known, the eye also eats. A romantic place and definitely recommended.

A lot of dishes were unavailable but they were bad at communicating what was available. We also had to wait over an hour and 30 mins for our food, and got some of our order wrong. The food itself was amazing tho.

If you want to stand in front of closed doors during official opening hours, then you can come to Eleo 1220. Without any notice on the various online platforms or at the restaurant itself, you could start the 30-minute journey home again. Thanks!

Great restaurant but if you want to sit outside you have to order big drinks 😂 You can't order small ones for whatever reason 🤡 So greed is the main focus in this restaurant and not the guest!!!

We went here for dinner today for our wedding anniversary and we were more than thrilled. The service was great, very attentive and very polite. The food was simply delicious. The ambience was good, we sat outside, next time we will definitely sit in the restaurant, but what we saw was very modern and attractive. Unfortunately, things have deteriorated a lot since opening. In Greece you can taste the love with which the food is prepared. Unfortunately that is not the case here. The food is ok, but I expect more for the price!

Hello everyone, This is my second review for the Eleo. The first one was euphorically good! Then shortly afterwards we were there again with a daughter, son-in-law and grandson. Our daughter and we know original Greek cuisine. According to old Greek custom, we ordered dozens of different mezedes and placed them in the middle. Unfortunately, the great impression from the first time could not be confirmed. There were some meze that we had never seen, let alone eaten, in Greece (e.g. Spetzofai) or that were not of good quality (e.g. Gavros). We were particularly disappointed that some of the standard starters were obviously “out of the bucket” (see allergens/additives). Service and ambience are and will remain top! We deducted a point for the food (especially after a direct comparison: we were in Crete for 5 days the week before last...)

The "other" Greek stands out because here it is really important that guests can enjoy an all-round successful evening. There are no clichéd huge portions of “meat with meat” here, but rather excellent quality food that is portioned “just right”.

Ich wollte einen Tisch reservieren für zwei Personen (Senioren). Wenn möglich am Fenster und nicht in der Mitte wegen hoher Geräuschkulisse. Wurde abgelehnt, des weiteren werden Tische nur für 2 Stunden abgegeben. Heißt ein Abend bei gemütlichem Essen und Wein ist damit ausgeschlossen. Diese Geschäftsidee ist für den Inhaber gut jedoch für die Gäste unzumutbar. Fand das Restaurant vom Essen her immer gut. Auf Massenabfertigung kann ich aber gut verzichten.

For the third time here, by far the best Greek restaurant I know. Far away from 0815 as we know it. Everything was super tasty, high-quality dishes deliciously prepared. Nice atmosphere and great service!

It has now become one of our favorite restaurants. Great service and great food. Accordingly, it is advisable to reserve a table. Addendum: today we had breakfast there and it was very tasty and pleasant. Breakfast for two had everything your heart could desire. Salami, ham and cheese with a Greek twist. Always great there. Great dishes, great staff. We really like it here. The dishes have something for everyone, from vegan to pure meat, everything has tasted very good so far! Edit 05/24: I don't think there's breakfast anymore. Today we were in the beer garden and, as usual, it was great.

Wir hatten im Aussenbereich einen schönen Abend. Die Getränke wurden sehr schnell gebracht und das Personal war sehr aufmerksam. Die Speisekarte hat nicht nur das typische Gyros sondern auch typische griechische Gerichte. Die Speisen waren schmackhaft und die Portionen angemessen.

This was our first time at Eleo. Thanks to the large parking lot, there was enough parking space despite the great weather and many guests. We used the very spacious and beautiful outdoor area. The staff and the owner of the restaurant were very friendly and attentive. We decided on lots of small appetizers. The food and drinks came quickly and were very tasty. The interior is also very open, modern and cozy. The location directly on the Ruhr Valley Cycle Path is also particularly good as a digestive walk after a meal. We will be back definitely.

I just think it's a shame that we still have to experience something like that in this day and age. We were made fun of by the same waiter for the second time with the bill. Now unfortunately I have to make it public. It's human nature that it can happen once, but twice in a short period of time and an amount of more than 10 euros is very noticeable. The quality of the food is above average and beautifully prepared. Ambience very nice. Unfortunately, the tables for 2 people are positioned very awkwardly. No guest should sit in front of the toilets or in the passage where someone is always running behind them

Food, service and ambience were top. Portion sizes are more than sufficient. We had the starter plate, beetroot carpaccio and fried mushrooms and as the main course, saddle of veal and the stuffed fillet skewer (very large portion), both highly recommended. Service was attentive, nice and fast!

We were on the way back and stopped at Eleo 1220 on Sunday evening. It was a very nice evening, with outstanding service. They were kindly escorted to the reserved table. We were given the menu and the daily recommendation to choose from. A short time later the drinks were picked up and served promptly. It is possible to combine the selection so that the food order goes perfectly. We really enjoyed the delicious appetizer with cult status, 3 house dips, and were excellently prepared. The main course was served at an appropriate distance and we were once again very positively surprised in terms of appearance, portion and taste. It was super tasty and we strolled to the motorhome full and happy. Conclusion: Outstanding cuisine and perfect attentive service, despite high capacity utilization we were always served promptly and satisfactorily. We would love to come back. This house is an absolute recommendation.

It's been a long time since I've had such good Greek food, thanks for the lovely evening. I had tender, perfectly fried, pink lamb fillets, grilled vegetables, potato gratin. The rest of the group was also enthusiastic. The friendly service rounded it off perfectly. We will be happy to come back!

Visit on February 18, 2024: Large parking lot. Very large selection of food and drinks. Food and service great. Prices are also appropriate. Not so nice: our clothes smelled very much like a restaurant after the visit.

I was a guest here on a business trip. To put it briefly, the restaurant is awesome. Some of the best Greek food I've eaten so far. The staff was very accommodating, polite and friendly. In my opinion, the ambience is perfect.

Regarding the ambience, since we had booked our table shortly after opening time, it was still pleasantly quiet at first. However, after the room (hall?) had gradually filled up, we found the atmosphere disturbingly loud. As for the meal, there was a bread basket with a yoghurt-garlic dip, but for my taste the bread would have liked to have been crispy (fresh!?). I found the presentation of my dishes a little careless, my breaded sheep's cheese came with only two small fried cherry tomatoes, as did my fried sardinia, with both of them I would have liked an attractive presentation, perhaps one or two olives or pepperoni with toasted bread and a touch Garlic desired.

Very nice restaurant, nice service and a great selection of food. Unfortunately, too much oil for me. The waitress explained to us that Greek cuisine uses a lot of oil, but if you tell us before ordering, it will be reduced. We'll be happy to come back!!!

Located just outside of Neheim on a bicycle street. There are enough parking spaces available. Food and service top. The only thing we didn't like was the acoustics. Since we were sitting in the large room, it was a bit noisy overall. But I would eat there again at any time. Reservation is recommended.

Service is unfriendly, impatient and as a guest you almost feel thrown out. It used to be better, it was the last visit for us and I can't recommend it anymore. My food was okay, but not great either. A pity.

Very friendly, food very good and well prepared. Always very well attended, so by appointment only. Any time.

As for the meal, the food was delicious but unfortunately the portions were far too small. We were there with a larger group and almost everyone was still hungry afterwards. In my opinion, the prices here are already at a very high level: 8.50 euros for dessert and 18 euros for a gyro with fries. Unfortunately, nutritional intolerances are not addressed here, even though it is on the menu. I asked for lactose-free salad dressing and unfortunately we didn't get an answer. It's a shame that they didn't offer any vinegar oil dressing. The dishes that should be vegan are also not lactose free, so you wonder where they are vegan. The service: when we arrived we sat for a while until someone came to us and the waitress realized that we didn't have any tickets yet. They came pretty quickly. Unfortunately, it took an eternity until someone came again - in the whole time we had already picked out our food alongside the drinks. The food took so long that we had to ask in between. Then the food came and most people were disappointed by the size of the food. The mayonnaise that was ordered with the fries was also missing for 3 people. Before it came, the first ones had already eaten it. Unfortunately, there were far too few questions about drinks; we would have liked to drink more. In the end, we have always loudly drawn attention to ourselves with the glasses. Therefore the service is also poor. The ambience is cozy but if you linger long they don't close at 11.30pm. At around 10.10 we were asked to order the last round. A short time later they came and wanted to collect money. And shortly after 11:30 p.m. a gentleman came and finally asked us to leave. Sorry, gastronomy on a Saturday with a group that left several hundred euros there should be a friendlier farewell. Our conclusion: we as a group will not go here again.

The food and ambience is great. We always feel in good hands in your restaurant. But please, the women's toilets, they are clean, but the extreme smell of urine after a delicious meal is extremely shocking and nauseating. Please, there are scent sticks or other ways to get around this.

Nicht der übliche Grieche. Sehr lecker. Große Auswahl an Vorspeisen, griechische Tapas. Bedienung sehr gut und aufmerksam. Ist nicht ganz billig aber das ist es wert.Besser rechtzeitig reservieren.

Hier kann man auf jeden Fall noch öfters hingehen. Das ganze Ambiente ist sehr schön, die Kellner sehr zuvorkommend und super nett. Das Essen war top. Die Vorspeise werden wir uns nächstes Mal teilen.

Die Lokation im ganzen ganz nett leider gab es unter dem Getränken keine Bierdeckel(Tisch war schön feucht) das Essen war im Großen und Ganzen gut gewürzt allerdings das Souvlaki war nur halt durch Bad Steak okay beim Schweinefleisch nicht sehr lecker Bier beim Abräumen kam lediglich die Frage ob man das Fleisch mitnehmen wolle sorry nein danke

Essen war sehr gut, Service nahezu Perfekt. Abzüge Ambiente: Wir waren auf der Kegelbahn..... Das war nix. Laut, veraltete Technik. Immer wieder sind Kegel nach dem neu Aufstellen umgekippt. Das hat viel Zeit gekostet.

Wir waren heut zu viert dort essen. Es war mega 😋 lecker!!! Vom Souvlaki,den Pommes,den Biftekis,dem Zaziki bis hin zu den Lammkotletts alles bestens 👌 Auch der Nachtisch war prima.👍 Der Service war auch super.😌 Sehr freundlich und das Essen war innerhalb von 15 min an den Tisch gebracht. Auch Hunde sind dort erlaubt. 😊 Wir kommen wieder. Weiter so 🙂
